Authors note: Thank you for the reviews, they boost my self esteem!
I do own the whole Harry Potter universe and I have made the decision to take over the world with the money that I earn from making this fanfic! Because, as I am the author of Harry Potter it only makes sense to create Fanfiction based off of it!
*Evil Laughter*
No, I don't own Harry Potter, I kinda think that's obvious
Have a good day! :D
Harry stood in the middle of a small crowd with his arms crossed and an irritated expression plastered across his face.
"Hello, what's your name? I didn't see you on the train? Were you on the train?" A redheaded boy jabbed Harry in the side.
"No." Harry simply said.
"No what?" The boy asked.
Harry ignored him and stared determinedly at an old patched looking hat, which in turn, burst into song.
Harry also ignored that and instead his eyes wandered over to the headmaster who, not to his surprise, was staring intently back at him. Harry glared daggers at the man before turning his attention back to the hat.
"When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted," An old, stern looking witch told them, "Abbot, Hannah!"
Hannah walked forward nervously and slowly placed the hat on her head, "HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Bones, Susan!"
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Boot, Terry!"
"RAVENCLAW!"
Name after name was called until finally, "Potter, Harry!"
Harry reluctantly pushed his way through the crowd and walked towards the stool, trying his best to ignore the whispers.
"Wasn't he dead?"
"Must be Slytherin he grew up with Black and that Lupin."
"Or maybe Gryffindor like his parents."
Harry sat down on the stool and carefully placed the hat on his head.
"Now what do we have here?"
The same words that had been swimming around Harry's head since he had arrived at Hogwarts became louder, 'I need to get home.' "Home? It doesn't seem like you have a real home, does it?" 'I want my godfather and uncle.' Harry thought desperately. "That is loyalty." The hat stated, "But it doesn't seem like Hufflepuff would fit you best, would it?" 'I don't know, I don't care. I just want to leave.' Harry thought. "And how do you plan to leave?" The hat asked sounding intrigued. 'I don't know! Make a plan I guess!' Harry thought impatiently. "That is a smart decision. Others might of risked it and ran, you know, or given in and chosen to stay." 'That sounds stupid.' Harry almost laughed. "Well, I've found one house that fits you best out of the four...
"RAVENCLAW!"
Harry slid off the stood, placing the hat back down on the seat and heading in the direction of the cheering table.
He would escape, no matter what.
