The day was going by peacefully.

Sakura had a very early shift.

She worked with the newborns for the day and was ready for some rest.

Right after being done, she ran home and spent about two hours cooking. She might not have been the greatest cook in the past, but she had worked so hard on this dish she knew it was good.

She ran back to the hospital without even taking a nap. She ran up the stairs as quick as she could. She really wanted the boys to try her food.

As she made it to the room, she was met with Naruto's big smile. Sasuke, on the other hand, was laying down with his head turned aside. Juugo was fixing Sasuke's pillow as Sasuke made a pained expression.

Sakura gave them a big smile and as she excitedly showed them the feast, she had made for them.

"Aaaah Sakura-chan, thank you!" Said Naruto excitedly "this looks so delicious" he finished.

"What would you like?" Sakura asked with a big smile.

"I want to try everything" said Naruto with a big smile.

"Sasuke-kun, would you like to try anything?" asked Sakura sweetly.

"no" said Sasuke sharply.

"Oh, okay" said Sakura shyly.

Sakura looked devastated. She was trying not to show it, but she was very hurt.

"Sasuke, show some respect. Sakura worked really hard on making this meal for us. You should be grateful." Naruto protested.

"I didn't ask for it" said Sasuke abruptly while moving his head trying to accommodate as if he could not find a comfortable position.

"That's it, you need to apologize to Sakura-chan" responded Naruto in anger.

"Are you still nauseous?" asked Juugo without much regard to be cutting the conversation.

"I said I was fine, stop asking me" responded Sasuke irritably.

"It's okay, Naruto-kun. Sasuke-kun is a little bit irritated because he is not feeling well. Nausea can be quite bothersome" ended Sakura

"Will you guys stop that? I am okay. You guys are the ones that are making me miserable with all your questions" protested Sasuke while turning his face the opposite direction.

"Don't worry Sakura-chan, he has been like that all morning" Naruto dismissed.

Naruto began devouring the food. Truth be told, it was amazing. The smell soon hit a very nauseated Sasuke who kept trying to keep the smell away with a pillow. Sasuke abruptly sat on the bed, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The deep breath only pushed more of the smell into his system. Sasuke was soon trying to move his IV out of the way.

"Hey, hey, hey, stop. Tell me what is wrong?" Juugo said while trying to help Sasuke.

Sasuke kept on trying to get off the bed. Sweat was making his hair stick to his forehead. He was shivering a little and looked like he was in pain. He soon began breathing rapidly as he was trying to detach himself from all the tubes that were keeping him in bed.

"I am going to…" said Sasuke as he stopped himself by covering his mouth with his hand.

Sasuke began shaking even more violently and started gagging into his hand. Sakura soon grabbed a basin and placed in front of him. Sasuke began vomiting into it shakingly. Juugo was soon holding Sasuke as he swayed side to side. Sakura was holding the basin while rubbing circles in his back.

"Are you done?" asked Sakura without removing her hand off his back.

Sasuke shut his eyes closed and was trying to catch his breath. After a few seconds of silence, he nodded. Juugo helped him lay down again while Sakura left with the basin.

"Sasuke, are you okay?" asked a worried Naruto.

Sasuke just lifted his remaining arm and gave him a thumbs up.

Sakura returned after a few minutes to find Naruto passed out on his bed and Juugo was standing in front of the bathroom door. Sasuke's bed was empty and retching sounds that were coming from the bathroom, giving his location away.

"Is he in there?" asked Sakura and Juugo answered with a nod.

Loud retching echoed the room as Sakura sighed.

"At least he is finally getting it out. He spent the whole night leaning over the toilet saying he was going to throw up and nothing was coming out." Said Juugo with relief.

"Was he? I wished it worked like that. He is not getting any relief from this. Nothing is really wrong with his stomach, it's all the medication" responded Sakura.

Suddenly, the heard a loud noise in the bathroom as if something had fallen. Sakura began desperately knocking on the door while Juugo was getting ready to break the door.

"Sasuke, are you okay? Please open the door" Sakura kept screaming.

"Sasuke, are you decent? I am opening the door" said Juugo.

The received no response. They looked at each other and Sakura nodded in approval. Juugo threw himself against the door and opened the door.

Sasuke was on the floor. It looked like he had fallen and ripped his IV and there was blood pooling in his arm and head. He had hit his head with toilet when he fell. His shirt was sticking to his body, and he was shaking violently.

"Hey, it's okay" Sakura kept on saying trying to comfort him or maybe to comfort herself.

Juugo kept on looking at Sasuke with worried eyes. He had never seen him this sick.

"He will be okay; this just needs some stitching, and he will be like new" said Sakura trying to calm Juugo down.

Sakura was once again using her medic voice, a voice of reassurance and harmony.

"Hey Sasuke, why don't you stand up for me? Let's get you to bed" Sakura said in a comforting voice.

Sasuke closed his eyes and tried to stand up but soon sat down on the cold bathroom floor again.

"Do you feel comfortable walking?" Sakura asked trying not to pressure Sasuke who seemed to weak to walk back. Sasuke shook his head slowly with his eyes still closed.

"Too dizzy" mumbled Sasuke.

"Alright, Juugo is going to help you get back to bed and I am going to take care of that" said Sakura in a very calm voice while pointing to his head.

Juugo nodded and stood up and helped Sasuke to his feet. They began slowly walking back to the bed. As soon as they were out of the bathroom, Sasuke was overcome with dizziness and began holding onto Juugo's arm even more strongly as if he was going to fall.

"Would you rather be carried?" asked Sakura still trying to keep her voice at minimal volume and emotion.

"it's…. oh…oh-kay" Sasuke struggled to say. He was breathing forcefully and was trying not to open his eyes.

Sasuke took another step and immediately regretted it. His knees felt weak, and he fell as if body and mind were detached.

"Go on" said Sasuke as if he was struggling to speak.

Juugo picked Sasuke up and carried him to the bed. He sat Sasuke down on the bed while Sakura wiped his vomit covered hair.

"Alright, that'll be a stitch or two, nothing major" said Sakura while looking at his head.

She began cleaning the wound and was setting up to stich it up when Sasuke grabbed her arm. Sakura stopped immediately and could see that Sasuke was not okay.

"Can I…" Sasuke said in between rapid breaths … "I need to lay down" he finished weakly.

"Go ahead" said Sakura sweetly pointing to Juugo to help him.

Sakura managed to stich up his wound, and to reinsert the IV. She was worried. Sasuke seemed very weak. He kept falling asleep as she was stitching up his wound. His breathing was still rapid, and she could swear his temperature was a bit high.

Once Sasuke was doing a bit better, Sakura left the room as she was called by a nurse. The nurse was holding the release papers for the boys. She said that they would be ready to go the next morning.

Sakura was happy to hear they would finally go home but something did not sit right with her. Sasuke did not look like he was ready for release at all.

Sakura went home and showered. She was going to stay home but she did not feel right about Sasuke. She grabbed her things and marched back to the hospital.

When she got there Juugo was trying to get Sasuke to drink some sort of juice.

"Hey, how are we doing?" Said Sakura.

"He threw up again around 30 minutes ago" Juugo said.

"I just need some sleep, that's all," said Sasuke "I will drink whatever you want me to drink once I wake up" he finished.

Juugo signed and removed the juice from in front of Sasuke.

"Good evening, good evening" a voice said from the door.

It was an elderly lady who made her way into the room and sat next to Sasuke.

"How are you sweetheart?" she asked Sasuke amicably.

"Oh, hello. Who is this pretty lady? Your girlfriend?" the older lady said to Sasuke in a sweet voice.

"I am a friend" responded Sakura.

"Oh great, I am here to change Sasuke's bandages" said the lady politely.

The lady got to it like she had done it many times before. Sasuke kept on whimpering quietly as if he was in lots of pain.

"Almost done" said the lady kindly.

Sasuke just nodded and shut his eyes. Sakura could notice he was burying his nails in his hand and clenching his jaw. Sakura gently tried to open Sasuke's hand to calm him down and he just grabbed her hand. She held his hand as if she could share his pain. He kept on strongly holding her hand as if it would relieve his pain.

Sakura tried to peek at his wound as the lady was changing his bandages. He should not be in this amount of pain anymore. Maybe she was just imagining things.

Sakura gasped loudly.

"Is everything okay?" asked the lady.

"Yeah, yeah" said Sakura dismissably.

Sakura looked very pale as she had seen a ghost.

"All done" said the lady with a smile.

"Thank you" responded Sasuke.

"Get better soon honey" said the lady while making her way to the door.

Once the lady had left Sakura turned to Sasuke and closed the door to the room.

"Has she been here before?" asked Sakura trying to hide the concern in her voice.

"Yeah, she has changed my bandages almost every day" responded Sasuke weakly.

"Why are you asking?" asked Juugo perceiving her concern.

"Just wanted to know" said Sakura with a fake smile "I will be right back" she finished while rushing out of the room.

"Hey, you" pointed Sakura sharply to a nurse outside.

"Yes?" she said.

"Who is that lady who changed Sasuke's bandages?" Sakura asked without much regard for formalities.

"She is a volunteer who has been helping since the war. We are drowning in work" the nurse said.

"Thank you" said Sakura storming out.

Sakura ran outside to get some fresh air. She was so upset; she did not know how she would calm down. She kept on walking back and forth in the balcony. It started raining and she just laid down on the floor to let the rain wash away her anger.

Something was very wrong.

There was no peace…
