Chapter 6

February 14th, 1998

A week later

Lucas sat on the armchair in his room. He held his right index finger up as he concentrated. After many hours of frustration, he could feel that he was close. Sitting in the same position for hours was hurting, but it was too important not to stop now.

His method was simple. He was focusing on a single area and visualising the {Aura} rising off his finger. Lucas could almost feel it, an actual weight trying to manifest, the hairs on his arms standing on end.

Twenty minutes later, he finally got the result he was trying to achieve. A single bead of purple energy coalesced onto the tip of his finger.

[Aura Manipulation] (Active) [Lv:1] (Next:0%) [Cost:1/s]

Description: The ability to generate, manipulate and control Aura. The first step of an Aura User is learning to harness its power to perform incredible feats. The higher the level, the quicker the player can control and transform Aura.

Increases Aura by 1%

Increases manifestation speed by 1%

Increases Aura Density by 1%

Increases Aura Shape by 1%

Lucas clenched his fist. This step had taken so long, but it opened up many possibilities. His skills relied on {Aura} to activate, but it was more of a passive energy source. With this, he could have more control and even create his own skills that directly manipulated {Aura}.

However, he had to be careful. Unlocking his energy manipulation meant that it had gone from passivity to activity, which meant that any method of detecting energy could pick up on his abnormality. No one could discover that he could use Purple Energy. He didn't know if he was unique in that regard, but there was no information out there that suggested it went beyond conjecture.

He had to devise a way of obscuring it so only revealed his Blue Energy. Someone out there may already know but it didn't make it any less important that he kept it secret. He didn't want to end up as some lab rat.

Lucas used {Meditation} to restore his {Aura}. With its constant use, he had got the skill even higher, and it was paying huge dividends.

[Meditation] (Active) [Lv.7] (Next:12%) [Cost: -]

Description: The practice of emptying your mind and trying to obtain focus and relaxation. Distracting thoughts and outside stimuli may pull the player from Meditation, but higher levels make it easier to stay focused. Aura regenerates faster while in this state.

Aura Regeneration + 4.5% per minute

Failure Chance + 55%

At its current level, it took only a little over twenty minutes to refill his {Aura}. However, with the failure rate, it took more than double that.

Lucas stood up, wincing at his protesting body. He had improved a lot from a week ago, and now he could walk on his own, albeit slowly. Vincent was escalating the intensity of the workouts, so he was progressing at a good pace.

He walked over to the incubator and retrieved the egg. The familiar weight and warmth of the egg always relaxed him.

It was his research on eggs that had led him down this path. He found an interesting book in the Mansion's library that explained it more extensively.

It clarified how in one example, how the physiology of humans and Pokemon were identical. They both had a crystallised node inside their heads known as an Aura Seed. It was a focus for energy, allowing for the manipulation of energy. However, most human's Aura Seed lacked a critical component. They had energy but had no way to interact with it, hence why they could not manipulate energy. Aura Users were becoming rarer, and scientists could not deduce the reason.

Despite what his mother said, it wasn't technically accurate that a Pokemon didn't have body mass. The Pokemon's Aura Seed was created in the same instance that the egg was born. Unlike a human, a Pokemon's Aura Seed was much more extensive and held both its energy source and its consciousness. This gave it a much larger energy source and made it easier to control.

When a human and Pokemon bonded, they took in some of the other's energy into their Aura Seed. It was like a contract where they agreed to bond for a beneficial relationship. An egg bonding was a lot less work than capturing a Pokemon with a Pokeball and having to build the relationship from scratch.

Lucas had read that Aura Users could inject their own Blue Energy into the egg to hasten the bond and raise its potential. It was a shame that they couldn't do this for others, as all humans had their own unique energy imprint. The Pokemon would end up bonding with the Aura User instead. Besides, its effectiveness was questionable because the Pokemon's Aura Seed limited how much energy it could absorb.

But Lucas asked himself what would happen if he injected Purple Energy into the egg. Would it be more effective? From what he understood, it would seem to be true. However, if he was wrong, he might hurt the Pokemon inside.

"Okay, buddy. Time to see if this works."

'{Aura Manipulation}.'

Lucas focused on injecting the energy into the egg. He had less than fifty seconds to do so before he ran dry. The egg seemed to go into a frenzy as it absorbed his energy like a little fatty. Lucas counted the seconds down on his watch, and when he was about to stop, he was, once again, pleasantly surprised.

A Pokemon has reached out to you to form a bond.

Would you like to accept? Y/N

Lucas felt the searching mind brush up against his mind, more eager and demanding than before. "Little glutton, why I think I'm going to be sorely used by you." Smiling, Lucas didn't hesitate and pushed 'Yes'.

Congratulations!

The player has bonded with his first Pokemon.

Aura + 25!

Physique + 1

Charisma + 1

The player has learned the Pokemon Bond Skill!

[Pokemon Bond] (Active/Perm) [Lv:1] (Next:23%) [Cost:10]

Description: Form a bond with a Pokemon and gain a life companion. The Pokemon receives energy from the player to quell the side effects of Red Energy, and in return, the player gets a small amount of Red Energy to enhance their Physique. Pokemon may break the bond if their Affection falls below ten.

+1% to Physique for every bonded Pokemon.

+5% to Affection and Potential gains with Pokemon.

+5% to rudimentary communication.

10 Aura is permanently restricted while Bond is in place.

Lucas could feel the immediate impact of the increase on his {Physique}, even if it only went up by one. He walked around the room and marvelled at how easier it was to walk. Lucas had been slowly training his body for two weeks, and he hadn't increased his {Physique} a single point.

Lucas hugged the egg to his chest and did a comical little dance. He shrugged sheepishly; okay, maybe dancing was still beyond him.

Slow clapping came from the doorway, and Lucas froze, turning around to see his sister standing with a smug grin on her face.

"Big brother is a dork," Abigail giggled.

Lucas placed the egg back in the incubator and turned to his sister with a sinister grin. Abigail shrieked and ran from the room.

"You're the dork," Lucas rolled his eyes, "you know I can't run yet."

He made his way downstairs and into the dining room. His family was already seated, and Mr Mime, one of his mother's Pokemon, was serving breakfast. Lucas greeted them and sat down.

"So what's got you all happy this morning, Lucas?" Sophia asked.

"I caught him in his bedroom doing something weird," Abigail announced.

David choked on some food in his mouth.

Sophia gasped. Then nodded in understanding. "I forget that you're fourteen now. You're bound to have those urges."

David howled in laughter.

Lucas glared at his sister. "Little brat. Could you not give them the wrong idea? I was merely dancing because I was celebrating."

"Was that what you call dancing?" Abigail asked innocently.

"What were you celebrating, Lucas?" Sophia interrupted, although she was now smiling

"I have bonded with my egg," Lucas boasted pompously.

His parents got up and hugged him and made a big deal out of it, which he wasn't used to and made him slightly uncomfortable. Even his sister hugged him, but he messed up her hair for her cheek.

Once they were sitting back down, they got stuck into his breakfast. Lucas enjoyed eating proper food, and he devoured his pancakes and bacon. "Mr Mime, if only you were a Mrs, I would definitely marry you."

"Mime." Mr Mime faked vomiting into the rubbish bin. Abigail giggled.

"Mr Mime is a female," Sophia grinned. "Should I post the banns?"

"She?" Lucas asked. "Then why isn't she called Mrs Mime?"

"Someone who didn't think of that when they named the Pokemon," David grinned. "A Pokemon's gender doesn't mean the same thing as a human. It is merely a distinction between two compatible energies that have the possibility of forming an egg. They actually don't have any sexual…."

"Little ears," Sophia scolded, covering Abigail's ears. "Anyway, what are your plans today, Lucas?"

"Just more of the same," Lucas replied.

Sophia looked concerned. "It's Saturday. It would be best if you weren't pushing yourself so hard. Why don't you do something for fun?"

Lucas thought about it for a second. Maybe he could change it up a bit from the usual study hours. He didn't want to burn himself out.

"I noticed we have a music room in the basement, but I haven't been in there yet. Do we have a guitar?"

"Yes, we do. Are you interested in learning," Sophia asked.

Lucas nodded. "I wanted to see if my Pokemon would respond to some musical stimuli."

"Not a bad idea," David approved. "Some people have tried the same method, but with mixed results. Maybe they like a certain genre of music? Maybe they are just music snobs?"

"If his music ability is anything like his dancing," Abigail chimed in, "then the Pokemon will hate him by the time it hatches."

Everyone laughed at Lucas, but he took it with dignity. He sniffed and picked up his dishes and brought them into the kitchen.

0(((())))0

Lucas opened the door and entered the music room. He whistled at the cosy setup. This would be a fantastic place to relax.

The room was soundproofed. That, along with the exposed brick walls, ensured sound wouldn't travel very far. There was a loveseat against the wall that reclined on a polished wooden floor. A thick woollen rug in the middle felt heavenly between his toes.

In terms of equipment, there was a small grand piano, a drum set sitting behind a drum shield, an assortment of guitars hanging on the wall and a few smaller instruments. Finally, there was a set of speakers next to a computer and desk, which he assumed was for editing music. It was a great set-up; he wondered who had owned the house before his parents.

Lucas placed the egg on the loveseat and inspected the guitars on the wall. The electric guitar was tempting, but he curbed his ambition. He picked an acoustic guitar with steel strings and searched the nearby shelf for a set of picks.

He sat down next to his egg and strummed the guitar. His {Perception} picked up on some discordant sounds and spent the next few minutes tuning it to his satisfaction.

Now what? Should he find some guitar lessons online? He took out his phone and searched the website, Poketube. This world's version of the video-sharing website. He found a basic tutorial and began watching.

Lucas spent the next hour learning the terminology and basic techniques. What he found most difficult was changing his finger positions to strum a different chord. Deciding that was enough, he searched for a song with a simple chord progression and practiced.

Two hours later, when he felt he was making progress, he received the skill.

[Guitarist] (Active) [Lv:1] (Next:0%) [Cost:0]

Description: A guitarist is someone who requires great dexterity and skill to employ techniques to deliver notes and chords into an artistic composition. The higher the skill, the more complex the songs the player can perform.

Increases Dexterity by 1%

Increases speed of learning a new song by 1%

Increases Chance to produce a unique composition by 0.5%

Lucas nodded in satisfaction. He quickly played the song again, and while it wasn't perfect, he didn't make any apparent mistakes.

It was when he was thinking about learning another song that a brilliant idea occurred to him. He quickly searched the internet for any mention of the song, but it didn't exist in this world. The original Pokemon song was iconic and his favourite thing that came out of the anime. He even had it on a playlist that he played most days.

What if he recreated the song? The original piece had multiple instruments, but he could do an acoustic version. He could recall the song in his sleep, but it would still take some time to complete.

For the next half hour, he fumbled through the intro of the song when Dad interrupted him by walking into the studio. Lucas stopped playing and waited for him to speak.

"What is that song? It sounds catchy," David walked over to the loveseat and sat beside Lucas.

"Meh. I'm just experimenting," Lucas shrugged.

"Well, you're already pretty good for a beginner," David smiled.

"I learn fast. Must be in the genes," Lucas smirked. "Mom's side, of course."

David laughed. "That's probably true."

"So, is there something you need?"

"Yeah," Dad rubbed his head sheepishly. "There's something I forgot to mention. You have a Grandad."

Lucas drummed his fingers on the guitar. "And now you just remembered?"

David grimaced, looking like a scolded child. "I just got off the phone with him. I got a dressing down for forgetting to tell him that his Grandson was out of his coma."

"Does he live somewhere else?"

"Saffron City. He is a very important man in the government. He is the Minister of Defence and a former Kanto Champion."

"Wow," Lucas breathed. "A former Champion, that is so cool."

David grinned. "I'm not surprised that's what got your attention. Does his position as Minister not impress you?"

"Sure, it's impressive. But what about Grandad's team? What kind of Pokemon does he have?" Lucas leaned forward eagerly.

"Well, you have seen my Pokemon? What do you think of them?"

"Strong, of course. You nearly won the Kanto Championship, didn't you? Why didn't you continue doing the circuit?"

"Well, I felt like I had hit a wall," David said. "My Pokemon didn't have the highest potential, but that was something I could overcome if I wished."

"What do you mean? I thought the potential was determined in the egg?"

"Usually, yes. A fully mature Pokemon finds it almost impossible to increase its potential, but it is possible. It takes a lot of training to break through the barrier. Or you get lucky and find a rare candy in the wild that raises its potential by one tier."

Rare Candy? So that was a thing here? But it didn't raise the Pokemon's level but their potential. Was there a way to get them from the System? Then again, he could always use {Observation} on wild Pokemon until he found one with good potential.

"So then you joined the Pokemon Rangers?" Lucas asked.

"That and meeting your mother finished any ambition I wanted to continue as a trainer. I still wanted my Pokemon to be stronger, but I was no longer interested in the Championship."

Lucas hummed. "What about Grandpa's Pokemon?"

"Would wipe the floor with mine," David laughed. "His Pokemon are all Kanto native Pokemon. He's very traditional like that. His strongest Pokemon are his Blastoise and his Pidgeot. They are absolute monsters."

"When are we going to meet him?"

"Not for a while; he is a very busy man. He said he will try to visit next month."

Lucas was disappointed, but he could understand. David patted him on the shoulder and moved to leave but seemed to remember something. "I got a missed call on the from one of your old friends. Do you want to call him?"

"I have friends?." Lucas winced at the way that sounded. Of course, he had friends in his life. He was thinking about the old Lucas.

"There were a few friends. However, only one of them stuck around afterwards. He would visit you in the hospital often, but then he stopped visiting about nine months ago."

"What was his name?"

"Jason Finch. You went to school together."

Lucas hummed. "Did you ever find out why he stopped coming?"

"He said that he had to help his mother, and he didn't have time to visit, but I always thought that something else was happening. His family doesn't have much money like us, but that never stopped your friendship. It's a shame; I liked the kid."

Lucas tapped the guitar in thought. He wasn't good at making friends, but it seems they had a prior relationship, so maybe it would be a place to start.

"Do you have his number?" Lucas finally asked.

David nodded and took out his phone. Lucas copied the number into his phone and made the call. David hovered, trying not to look obvious that he was eavesdropping.

"Hello?" The voice was an older woman.

"Hi, this is Lucas Walker. Is Jason there? He called me before, but I missed him."

"Jason told me you had recovered. Congratulations."

"Thank you."

"Is Dr Potts still your doctor?"

The question was a little strange, but he didn't see any problem answering.

"You didn't hear? He died in an automobile accident a week ago." That had been a surprise. He wondered what had happened to the Haunter.

"Really? That's a relief."

What? "Did he do something to you? Or Jason?"

This time the silence was longer as if she was debating with herself. "Jason saw something when he visited the hospital. He wouldn't tell me what it was, but that man threatened to kill him if he didn't keep his silence and stay away."

Lucas stood up and started pacing. This was getting complicated. David stopped him. "What's the matter?"

Lucas repeated the conversation with the woman. David held out his hand, and Lucas passed the phone over.

"Mrs Finch? This is David Walker. Lucas's father. I was investigating Adrian Potts before he died. We believe he was involved with a criminal organisation."

David listened for a moment. "We don't believe that you're in any danger. But it's better safe than sorry. Would you like to visit for a few days? Lucas was looking to reconnect with Jason."

David frowned, then spoke harshly at the woman's response. "Yes, I understand. But you'll have to get over it for your son's benefit. This organisation wanted to keep the doctor quiet, so they killed him. It was no accident. If they discover your son knows something, you will be in danger. I will send someone to pick you up." He hung up before the woman could argue further.

David handed the phone back to Lucas. "Your friend will arrive soon."

"That's it? No word on how the doctor was some criminal. Don't you think that information is pertinent?"

"It's none of your concern. You're still a kid." David walked out of the room.

Lucas kicked the loveseat in frustration. Shaking his head, he headed back upstairs. He could understand where his Dad was coming from but it still rankled. Dad didn't know that he was an adult in a teenager's body, but he wasn't feeling charitable.

He retrieved his egg and lay on the bed.

'{Observation}'

Pokemon: ? Age: 0 Type: ? Potential: C

Description: A Pokemon Egg. The Pokemon has bonded with the player, and now it's a matter of time before it hatches.

Affection: 15 Favourite Foods:?

Aura Seed [45/10000]

Even though his {Observation} had levelled up, it still didn't reveal what kind of Pokemon it was inside. The 'System' was being a tease.

The Aura Seed certainly had a lot of capacity. If he maxed it out with his energy, would that raise its potential? What about its affection? It seemed just as important. Making sure the Pokemon doesn't break the bond due to low affection was important. There was the humane aspect as well, as they were essentially superpowered animals. Lucas loved animals well, except for one murder terrier.

Were Pokemon similar to babies in the womb? Would they react to the music he played? He decided he would learn to play the guitar as even if it didn't help with its affection, it would help him raise his {Dexterity}.

He found it strange that Pokemon were so cursed in this world. Why would Arceus allow it? Is there something he could do? Turn this broken world into something more like the anime, something more idealistic. Lucas wanted to smack himself for his conceit. He was only a rookie, and he was already reaching for the moon.

Lucas refilled his {Aura} and then continue to feed the egg while he waited for Jason to arrive.

0(((())))0

"Lucas, your friend is here."

Lucas stopped {Meditation} and stood. He stretched before making his way downstairs.

Vincent and his family were there with two people beside him.

The first was a woman who stood 5'2 and dressed in jeans and a red cardigan. She was attractive enough, with a youthful face that gave her the next-door girl vibe even if she was in her thirties. However, stress or a recent illness had her lose a lot of weight, and her hair was turning grey in some areas.

Jason, who stood next to her, was approaching 6'0, with long skinny limbs. He didn't resemble his mother that much except for the honest face. He kept his sandy blond hair short except for the fringe that almost covered his pale blue eyes.

Lucas got a headache imagining that his ears would bleed from the inane chatter this boy would bring. He looked the type.

Jason looked at Lucas as he descended the stairs and grinned. "Lucas, mate. It's just like you to defy death."

Lucas looked at him confused. "Who are you?"

Jason gaped at him. "You're having me on."

"Please tell me you told them," David asked Vincent.

Vincent shrugged. "Didn't seem important."

David face palmed. Then began explaining the situation to the two bemused visitors. Lucas leaned against the wall and waited.

"It's nice to meet you, Lucas. My name is Sarah, and I'm glad you recovered," the woman said.

"Man, that's rough," Jason commented. "But at least you survived. You can make new memories."

"Where are our manners," Sophia said. "Let's get you settled in your rooms."

"Hold on," Sarah held a hand up in protest. "I appreciate the hospitality, but you said that we may be in danger. You have two children in the house. Are you going to put them in danger?"

"You may be right," David admitted. "We do have excellent security, but I don't enjoy taking any chances."

"They can stay with me," Vincent said. "I have plenty of room."

Sarah tried to argue but Vincent gave her a flat stare, daring her to disagree. She reluctantly nodded.

"Well, I'm sure one night won't matter, so you can stay tonight," Sophia said. "Jason's room is next to yours, Lucas. Can you show him the way?"

Lucas nodded and gestured for Jason to follow him. The boy picked up his luggage and climbed the stairs.

Lucas opened the door and showed him the spacious room. It was smaller than his own, but still had its own fourposter bed and a balcony looking out into the grounds outside.

"Geez, this is almost as big as our apartment." Jason placed his luggage on the bed and sat down. He didn't look bothered at the display of wealth, which Lucas appreciated.

"So I don't know how to talk to you," Jason blurted. "You're so different from before."

"People keep telling me that my personality is different. So maybe we should pretend we are meeting for the first time and go from there."

Jason shrugged. "I can do that. Why do you want to continue our friendship, anyway? It would be easier to make new friends."

"Because you're the only one that stuck by me for so long. I want to at least try."

"Yep, I'm amazing alright," Jason grinned.

"I think I know why my Dad likes you," Lucas said. "You're completely the same."

"If only I could be so lucky to marry a hottie like your mom, I would be content."

"Please, don't say stuff like that," Lucas smiled evilly. "I would have to hurt you."

Lucas sat down in the armchair and turned serious. "What did Dr Potts do that was so bad that he threatened your life."

Jason ran his hands through his hair. "I don't know if I should say anything. Your dad probably wants to question me later."

"I know, but I need to know what's happening. Dad's never going to tell me anything. He's too overprotective."

Jason raised his brows incredulously as if to say can you blame him?

Lucas waved his hand. "I know, and it's not like I'm going to do anything about it," Lucas said. "But I hate not knowing. I already lost three years of my life."

"Well, when I visited, he was in your room. Dr Potts didn't even realise that I was there. He was sitting by your bed with his back turned, doing some dictation. I was about to call out when he started talking about experiments and a serum, uh, M-something. It seemed like he had been dosing you for a few months. I tried leaving without being seen, but he noticed me. You know the rest of the story."

Lucas leaned back in his chair in disbelief. Absently rubbing his chest, Lucas tried to scramble his thoughts into order. It didn't come as a surprise to him because he had reckoned that something sinister had been going on, even so, it had taken a turn he was not expecting. Someone had experimented on him. Was that why he had Purple Energy? Who was capable of such a thing? How many others were there?

The Quest (Awakened: Stage One) has been updated.

Description: The unknown perk doesn't give any visible benefits but may change. What is this power? Does the player dare wait to find out before it's too late? Find information on the perk. It may be related to the balance perk.

You are a subject of unknown experiments. Find the information that Adrian Potts concealed.

"Are you okay?" Jason asked, leaning over him and waving a hand energetically in his face.

"Dude, too close," Lucas shoved him.

"You spaced out there. I shouldn't have told you."

Lucas shook his head. "It's fine."

Jason unpacked his bags. Lucas was interested to see that he had an expensive-looking equipment bag. "What's in the bag?"

Jason looked at where he was pointing and grinned. Opening the bag, he took out a video camera. He placed it on his shoulders and pointed it at Lucas.

"So tell me, young sir, how does it feel to be the Kanto Champion?"

Lucas stood there with his eyebrow raised in question. Jason changed his voice to imitate Lucas. "Well, I couldn't have done it without my crew member, Jason. He was there by my side, every minute of my journey, recording every pivotal moment."

"Hold up. What the hell are you talking about?"

Jason lowered the camera and placed it back in the bag. "Man, I know you lost a lot of memories, but how could you forget our dream?"

"Maybe you're not special enough?" Lucas mused.

Jason clutched his chest in pain and staggered. "Feeling the love, bro. Well, it first started when I first got this baby. I saved up half the money for the camera, and you gave me the other half for my birthday. Which I'm still angry at, by the way."

Jason began pacing the floor in excitement. "You were going to the Pokemon Master, and I would be the guy behind the camera chronicling your every step."

"Don't you want to be a trainer as well?"

"Nah. I don't have the nerve to be a trainer. But I would love to travel and see the world. We could even try some live streaming to fund our travels."

Lucas was interested despite himself. It would be nice to have some companionship on the road and someone else to watch your back.

Even the live streaming wasn't so bad. He knew it meant a lot more attention to himself, which would usually make him break out in hives. However, he had noticed something odd that he was realising. Ever since his {Charisma} started increasing, he noticed a subtle nuance to its power. The higher it rose, the less bothered he was in attracting attention to himself. It was only a small difference, but it would only improve as his {Charisma} increased.

"So what do you think? Are we still on for doing this?" Jason asked anxiously.

"It's an interesting idea. However, you will need your own Pokemon if we travel together. It's dangerous out there."

Jason nodded. "Don't worry. The government offers a free Pokemon to people when they turn fifteen, as long as they can afford to look after it properly."

"Hmm. What kind of Pokemon are you interested in?"

"To be honest, I see myself as in a support role. Defensive and maybe some healing. So any Pokemon that fits that style."

Lucas nodded. That would be very helpful, actually. He would be the primary offence while Jason protected their backs.

"Would you be able to start this year? Maybe we should wait for next year?" Jason asked.

"I have a lot to catch up on, but I plan to set out shortly after my birthday this October."

Jason hesitated as if debating if he wanted to say something. Finally, he squared his shoulders. "Okay, I'm going to be frank here. I don't want money to ever come between us, so I will tell it straight. I love my camera, but if you ever give me so much for a birthday present again, I will punch you in the face."

Lucas raised his eyebrows. "Okay."

Jason continued. "I know it's going to take a fair bit of money to start our journey, but I have a part-time job, and I'm saving some money. My birthday is in July, so by then, I should have enough to care for my Pokemon. So I don't want you to ever think about giving me any hands-outs. Are we clear?"

Jason took a breath of relief from managing the words. Lucas could appreciate such honesty, and it made the decision to travel with Jason a lot easier.

"Crystal. But I don't want to rely on my parent's money to fund my journey. You mentioned earning some money by live streaming?"

Jason nodded. "You're good-looking, so that will allow us to get a foot in the door, at least. Now, just don't suck at Pokemon battles and we will be golden. It will also help me if I manage a stable salary so I can help my mother. So we start live streaming on the day you get your Pokemon. We should be able to attract a following pretty quickly."

"Why wait? If we set a channel up now and gather some followers, then we will already have a fan base and some money before we even begin travelling."

Jason slapped his forehead. "It's so obvious now that you think about it. But we will need a good idea to launch your channel, something that will attract attention."

"Follow me," Lucas stood up and left the room. Jason followed him into his own room and gasped when he saw the egg.

"Oh yes, this will do nicely." Jason chuckled.

So tell me what you think. Next chapter is a longer time skip and Lucas is done with his physio.

Cheers.
