A/N : No you are not hallucinating, a new update 3 years later. I haven't been inspired to write, fell hard for another couple in another fandom and continued to live my life. And then suddenly a few days ago, I realized I missed Ron and Hermione a whole lot. There isn't much Romione in this one, it was easier for me to fall back into Hermione's pov and her relationship with her parents. I am hoping to continue and finally finish those 100 drabbles but I make no promise. 36 to go! Happy new year guys! Here's to 2021 and hoping that even if it sucks, we will still have 2020 to look back to and remind us to find little things that makes us happy. Thanks to MsBinns for the read through and ongoing support with these.

64. July

She found out she's a witch the previous fall.

Since then, Hermione has spent hours after hours devouring books about wizards and the Wizarding World.

The more she reads, the more she realises that she felt out of place all her life and everything is finally making sense. She's discovering a world she yearns to enter.

So when July comes and she finally receives her Hogwarts letter, Hermione is beyond excited. She misses the covered worried looks her parents share, they congratulate her, their smiles slightly tensed. They want to support her but they also know that this is an experience they won't know how to share with her.

Hermione doesn't realise that this is the first crack of their relationship and that it will take years and a war to fully break before mending back. For now, she is eleven, magic flows through her veins and she can't wait to be at Hogwarts. She longs to belong.
