Hi all,

I have made a minor change regarding evolutions. In chapter 4, I stated that potential affects the Pokemon's chances to evolve. That is no longer the case. Potential only affects Stats from level twenty onwards. Pokemon still have to meet specific requirements to evolve, but they have the choice of choosing not to.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It's been some time since I last talked to you guys. I'm sure you are all aware of my story by now."

Lucas watched the chat, amazed at the speed at which people were responding. Since he last live-streamed, his channel and more than doubled in followers. It was a heady feeling to see the explosive growth, but he reminded himself not to get conceited.

"Now, I find it incredible how many new followers I have gained since a few weeks ago, so welcome to all the newcomers. I will not touch upon my kidnapping too much, as I would rather forget it happened."

Jason and Faith stood behind the camera. His lazy friend had coerced her into helping by highlighting comments to respond to, which made Lucas nervous. He didn't think she was above sending him some spicy comments to embarrass him.

"A couple of things before we get started. I should have mentioned this earlier, but I will donate all the money I earn on social media to charities. I am already fortunate to have a secure financial background, so the money should help those less fortunate than myself. So, if you have any ideas for charities in the Kanto region, send me a link.

Onto the other topic, I have sold Gotta Catch Em' All to the Pokemon League, and they will soon produce an instrumental version with my vocals. So, look forward to that. Before I respond to some chat, let me sing the song again."

Lucas grabbed the guitar and strummed a few strings to ensure it was in tune.

"Here I go."

As he played the song, he focused on watching Faith's face. He loved watching her various expressions, and he tried to pour as much passion into the song for her. She flushed as if recognising his intentions and looked away in embarrassment. Satisfied, he finished the song and put the guitar back down. "Now, let's read some chat."

Yellow_Snowman: It's great to see you back. Are you going to be writing any new songs?"

"Yes, I will create some new songs, and I even have an idea for my next one. However, it will not be out anytime soon since I will be busy preparing for the Pokemon Circuit. But watch this space."

AllGoodNamesRGone: There is a rumour out there that says you and Jason are an item. Is this true?

"While I have nothing against gay people, I am not inclined that way. Jason, on the other hand, who knows?"

Jason glared at him from behind the camera, shaking his fist. Faith pressed a fist to her mouth to prevent a giggle from escaping.

ManEatsPants: Where are Dante and the new fellow? They are the primary attraction, after all.

"That puts me in my place. Dante is currently busy training and has no interest in appearing on screen. Maximus, the Elekid I captured, is still too shy and may take some time before he makes his debut."

kim_chi: I know you have a girlfriend already, but are you interested in a threesome? I'm cool with sharing.

Lucas glared at Faith, who hunched over the laptop, her shoulders shaking with laughter.

"No, I'm not interested in sharing. My girlfriend is having a good time sending me some spicy comments. Why don't I bring her onto the stream and introduce you to her?"

Faith's head shot up with a horrified gasp. Jason grabbed her arm and pushed her in front of the camera. She glared at him but stood beside Lucas, waving at the camera uncertainly.

Lucas took advantage, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissing her on the cheek. "Everyone, this is my girlfriend, Faith. Isn't she beautiful?"

"You are so dead," Faith whispered.

"You're doing great, Max!" Lucas called.

Max waved his small hand in acknowledgement as he continued to push the small boulder. It was an exercise to build the body up and increase several Stats simultaneously. Lucas had been doing plenty of research on his two Pokemon and how he wanted them to grow in the future.

Dante would utilise special attacks and primarily be a mid to long-range fighter. Although, he kept his final evolution in mind, where he would change to the psychic-fighting type. However, Lucas considered Dante his partner and an intelligent entity, so he avoided the assumption that Dante wanted to evolve into Kirlia. It's not exactly the end of the world if he remains in his Ralts form. Dante stated his opinion and wanted to pursue his final evolution. His reasoning had been funny, though, as he didn't do it to chase more power. No, he just hated being so small. Max was already taller than him, which seemed to upset him greatly. So, Lucas planned accordingly for when he evolved into Gallade.

A surprising discovery he made was that evolution was not determined by the Pokemon's level like in the games. There were several factors involved, such as the Pokemon's age, bond level, happiness, diet and genetics. So, he could have a fully evolved Gallade below level thirty, which would be outstanding.

Since evolution brought a substantial increase in Stats, he had first assumed that Pokemon with evolutions were stronger. However, Pokemon went through four stages of significant growth in their lives, regardless if they had evolutions. It just so happened that an evolution triggered growth, but it was not required. Dante could stay as a Ralts and still end up a powerhouse. It just meant that his size, form, abilities and Moves might be different. Stats were only one determining factor, after all.

Lucas asked his dad about Pokemon building a foundation in martial arts. Dad said it was a common practice to teach Pokemon the foundations at least, especially with humanoid Pokemon that were similar in shape to humans.

Dante and Max would benefit from training in martial arts, which was the Pokemon utilising their body's natural power to deal damage without using Moves. Although Dante would not benefit as much until he evolved into Gallade because of his body shape and size. However, he would still benefit from gaining flexibility and learning to utilise his speed to the maximum.

Max would benefit from the training since his high attack strength and humanoid form favoured fighting-type Moves. He could teach him some fighting-type moves with technical machines. It was a shame that Max didn't have any egg moves since there were some powerful fighting-type moves he could inherit from his parents. But since his special attack was decent, he would probably end up a hybrid fighter, utilising both physical and special attacks.

Martial arts would never be as effective as Moves, as they didn't utilise Aura to reinforce their attacks, but it still could be effective against weaker Pokemon or in a battle of attrition. Once a Pokemon got to a high enough level, they could learn to manipulate their Aura to a frightening degree, and Moves became more malleable, or they could create attacks of their own.

His dad's Poliwraith would teach his Pokemon since he had the patience and discipline to be an excellent teacher. Not to mention he was totally hardcore; Lucas still remembered his own torturous training under the Pokemon's guidance.

Lucas turned as he heard footsteps behind him. "Hello, grandpa."

Tobias nodded at Max. "I see you have already started on his training."

"Yeah," Lucas shrugged. "I wanted him to give him a few more days to acclimatise to his surroundings, but when he saw Dante training, he wanted to start immediately."

"It's good to have healthy competition between teammates," Tobias said. "Listen, I wanted to talk to you about the island."

"What about it?"

"There was another reason I fought so hard for you to gain ownership of the island," Tobias smirked. "I need some real estate to set up a base for my disciples."

Lucas hummed. "So, I am a cover for your covert operations? Isn't Cinnabar Island too far from the mainland to be effective?"

"Being away from the mainland is the chief attraction," Tobias said. "Besides, you have seen my aircraft. It can reach Mach two speeds, so distance isn't a problem."

Tobias stepped closer and whispered. "There is some trouble brewing within parliament, and the Prime Minister needs me to investigate some troubling aspects with his hands clear of any involvement."

"Is this something I'm authorised to know?" Lucas asked quietly.

"I have permission," Tobias patted his shoulder. "It seems you impressed the Prime Minister with your heroics."

"Right, just what I was aiming for," Lucas snorted. "Well, I don't have a problem with it. Their presence on the island would be good protection if someone came along wanting to claim the island for themselves. However, I just signed over half of the island to Nora. She's not comfortable being here, so. as soon as I can arrange transport, she is going to return to the island."

Grandpa looked concerned. "Are you sure you can trust her?"

"Completely? No, but I think she wants to be left alone," Lucas replied. "In return, she will help me build a habitat for my team. I have other plans for the island, but they are far into the future."

"As long as she signs a non-disclosure agreement," Grandpa said reluctantly. "I'm okay with the idea. Besides, her presence on the island could help disguise the movements of my team."

Lucas nodded, turning to look at the aircraft. "In that case, you won't mind giving her a ride to the island. I need to get some supplies ready for her as well."

Tobias agreed and left to organise another trip to the island.

"Have you got everything?"

Nora nodded, her features hidden by a ski mask. There was no hiding that her face was unpleasant, so he didn't blame her for hiding her face. He still had yet to give up on finding a solution to her problem, but it could take a long time, or he may never find one. She couldn't put her life on hold.

Lucas reached out and hugged her. "Remember to call me often and tell me how you are doing."

"Okay," Nora said. She turned around and walked up the ramp and into the aircraft.

Lucas turned to Tobias and his team. "So, I probably will not see you for a while. Thanks for coming to rescue me. Look after Nora for me, okay?"

Sonya rushed forward and hugged him. "I certainly will. It's a shame that you're not a little older, or I would have snatched you up already."

"Get away from my grandson, fiend," Tobias shouted.

Lucas said his last goodbyes and returned to the mansion. Faith stood on the doorstep, her arms crossed and her face pensive.

"What is the matter with you?" Lucas asked.

"What kind of monster could do that to their child?" Faith whispered. "Compared to Alan Goldman, my parents were saints."

"Are you ever going to tell me what they did?"

"I don't like talking about it," Faith shivered. "Besides, I'm sure it's a matter of public record. You could look it up."

"I'll wait for you to tell me," Lucas replied. "There's no rush."

"You said that you wanted to talk to me about something?"

"That's right," Lucas said enthusiastically. "I perfected the recipe for my new incense. Are you still interested in making money?"

Faith eyed him doubtfully. "This better be fair work because I don't want charity."

"Oh, it's not hard work per se," Lucas said. "It's just very repetitive. Not something that I'm interested in doing."

"I don't mind," Faith shrugged. "I would like to save money before getting a Pokemon. What's the pay like?"

"It depends on how much they are worth," Lucas said, motioning for her to follow him. "I'll ask my mother about it and have an answer for you by the end of the day. You will get a percentage of every incense you make."

"That sounds fair," Faith said. "So, there won't be any drop in quality?"

"Not really, but I have already factored that into the equation if there is a noticeable difference. It will have to be mass-produced if it becomes popular, so it will probably lose some quality, anyway."

Of course, he didn't mention that it would lose some quality because he got a bonus to parameters when making them himself. He wasn't interested in the grind of producing hundreds or thousands of incenses. Lucas was more interested in researching new creations.

Opening the door, he showed her inside and walked up to the table. He took an already prepared incense and showed it to her.

Grass-Type Insight Incense | Rare | Grade: 3 |

Description: A new creation from a budding incense master. A Pokemon under the effects of this incense gains insight into manipulating Grass-Type energy. It may only apply to some Pokemon.

Effective Range: Ten metres.

Duration: Two hours.

Potency: Increases a Pokemon's grass-type energy sensing by 50%.

"So, it's more effective than the old recipe?" Faith asked, taking a sniff of the incense. "Why don't you make multiple versions at different price points?"

"Because eventually, I want recipes for all different Pokemon Types. That is already enough products to flood the market, and adding more will confuse the consumer. I don't think trainers would mind the cost even if they are expensive."

"I know I wouldn't," Faith said. "This incense is perfect for me; it will help me increase training even further."

"I will give you a twenty per cent discount," Lucas promised. "It is effective but not a magic bullet, as it only enhances the Pokemon's natural aptitude to sense grass-type energy."

Faith nodded, placing the incense down.

"Now, let me show you how to make the incense," Lucas prepared the ingredients. "I ordered a tonne of ingredients, so you're welcome to make as many as possible. Don't worry about speed at the beginning; you will get faster as you practice."

After showing her how to make the incense and watching her make a few, Lucas nodded, satisfied. "I'm going to find my mother. Are you going to continue here?"

"Yes," Faith nodded absently, already focused on her task.

Lucas left to find his mother with a sample of his product. She was in her lab, tapping away at her computer.

"Hey, I want you to look at something," Lucas said.

"What is it?" Sophia asked, turning in her chair. She took off her reading glasses and rubbed her eyes.

Lucas handed her the incense. "It's a new incense I created. It helps Pokemon sense grass-type energy."

"Really?" Sophia asked, looking amazed. "How effective is it?"

"Maybe thirty to forty per cent," Lucas replied. "It was how Dante learned Grass Knot so fast."

"This is amazing," Sophia breathed. "Can you replicate it for the other types?"

"I think so, but I still have to do further research."

"What do you want to do with it? There's nothing like this on the market."

"Well, I need you to get the patent for it first, then I want to sell it, naturally. I was wondering if your company would be interested in selling it?"

Sophia raised her eyebrows. "My company's only products are Pokemon foods, but it's possible. Alicia, my CEO, has wanted to expand the product range for a while now. The profits will eventually plateau with other companies entering the market."

"How much do you think it will sell for?" Lucas asked.

"How much does it cost to make one?"

"Ten Pokedollars."

"That's not bad, considering its usefulness," Sophia nodded. "We could get the ingredients at a cheaper cost if we buy them in bulk—so six Pokedollars per incense. Add on all the operating expenses, and it will cost about ten Pokedollars in total. If you sell it for twenty, then after taxes, that's a net profit of seven Pokedollars per incense. Of course, that's a rough estimate. You could sell it for more, but it depends on the demand."

"How much will I get out of it?"

"It depends if you want to sell the patent outright or license it to the company and get a percentage of every sale," Sophia replied.

"What do you recommend?" Lucas asked, leaning against the desk.

"License it out to a company. First, I would generate interest by producing enough to sell at the local market, and if they become popular, then companies will come sniffing around looking to purchase the incense. If you have several companies competing for the product, then you are in a better position to license your incense and get a bigger slice of the profits,"

"I hired Faith to start making them," Lucas said.

"See if you can make a thousand in the next couple of weeks," Sophia said, turning back to her computer. "I will get the patent sorted. In the meantime, see if you can create different incenses for other types, so both consumers and the companies have confidence that you can create more in the future."

"Right," Lucas said, dazed by her efficiency. "So, you don't want your company to get first dibs on the incense?"

"My son's welfare comes first, not my company. I will give Alicia a heads-up so she offers an attractive price first, but I am not letting you be shortchanged for your hard work. It is an amazing thing you have achieved," Sophia enthused. "Becoming a businessman is much better than a dangerous occupation like the Pokemon Circuit."

"Mother," Lucas sighed. "I haven't changed my mind about becoming a trainer."

"Well, think about it," Sophia said brightly. "You may find out you like it better."

Lucas shook his head and left the room. No matter what his parents said, he wasn't giving up on being a trainer. Teenagers became adults at fifteen anyway, so it's not like they could stop him. But he would rather work on reassuring them that he would be safe instead of alienating them.

Lucas stared at the odd collection of accessories in front of him. He looked at his dad in confusion. "Thanks? But it's not my birthday, and I'm not big on jewellery."

David rolled his eyes. "These are the protection equipment I promised you. It will block most psychic Moves, like teleporting or mind reading. It was my mistake not to get them for you sooner."

"Oh," Lucas picked up the silver necklace first. A gem was embedded in the middle, pitch black and shaped into an oval. He could see a dark Aura emanating from it, with his Aura Sight.

"The gem has been saturated with dark energy, then crafted into this equipment. Wearing them all together creates a field around you that disrupts psychic Aura."

"Cool," Lucas said, slipping the necklace over his head. "What's the range of the field?"

"About five metres," David watches as Lucas puts on the other accessories. A wristband, ankle chain and belt.

"It doesn't look that bad," Lucas said, looking at himself in the mirror.

"It works; that's all that matters," David retorted. "Now, I hear you have a date with Faith tomorrow."

"Yeah, so?"

"Is that wise? So soon after returning from being kidnapped."

"Do you want me to put my life on hold?" Lucas asked. "I can understand where you're coming from after almost nearly losing me twice, but nowhere is truly safe, as the first incident demonstrated. Will you confine me to the mansion for the rest of my life because I may be hurt? I would rather go back to being in a coma."

David ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "Of course not, but I don't understand how you can be so carefree about the kidnapping and torture. How can you be so well-adjusted in such a short amount of time?"

Lucas paused, considering how to the best answer. What could he say to that? I have a Gamer ability that gives me skills that help me negate mental trauma. Yeah, right.

"But we both know I'm not normal," Lucas finally said. "Despite Giovanni not getting the result he wanted, there is no denying that I'm not entirely the same anymore. You saw how fast I completed rehabilitation. It could have given me a stronger mind as well. Or maybe my experience in a coma gave me mental resilience. Who knows the real answer? But I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth."

David came over and hugged him, surprising Lucas. It wasn't like his dad to be a hugger, at least not with Lucas.

"I don't know if I can go through a third time," David said roughly. "How about a compromise? Could you take a few of my Pokemon with you? They are not going to intrude on your time with Faith."

Lucas sighed. "Fine, but we will have to find a better solution. The Pokemon Camp is recommencing in just over a week."

"You don't have to worry about that," Davis smiled. "They are bringing in some heavy hitters to guard the camp. They want to make sure nothing goes wrong this time."

Lucas raised his eyebrow in question, but David merely chuckled and left the room.

July 19th

Lucas paced in the entrance hall, nervous anticipation running through his veins. He was dressed casually in jeans and a sports coat. It was semi-casual, but their date took place where dressing up would be overkill. He had told Faith not to dress fancy, but he was still excited to see what she would look like when she made an effort.

Three of dads Pokemon watched him pace in interest, having seen their trainer go through the same ritual in the early days of the courtship. Hitmonlee, Poliwrath and Mienshao would be accompanying them on their date. Lucas hired a special taxi that transported Pokemon along with the human passengers.

Lucas looked up when he heard someone on the staircase. He swallowed heavily as a radiant Faith descended the stairs, dressed in a pale-yellow summer dress and a pair of flat sandals. It was a simplistic look, but she looked all the better for it.

"You're beautiful," Lucas blurted out spontaneously.

Faith smiled shyly, tucking some loose strands behind her ear. "Thank you. You look good as well."

Lucas held out his arm, and Faith tucked her arm into his as they walked outside to the waiting taxi. The Pokemon climbed into the back of the truck while they sat up front.

"So, will you tell me where we are going?" Faith asked.

"it's a surprise," Lucas smiled.

Ten minutes later, they pulled up in front of a giant dome-shaped greenhouse. The dimensions were immense, taking up an entire block of real estate.

"The Xanadu Nursery," Faith exclaimed. "I've always wanted to come here. They have a wide range of flowers and plants, which attracts numerous plant-type Pokemon."

"I thought it was the perfect place for our first date," Lucas silently cheered at his success, happy that Faith approved of his choice, "But I must admit that I have an ulterior motive. This place produces a lot of rare and expensive ingredients, so I was looking to buy some samples."

Lucas paid the driver, and both they and the Pokemon got out of the taxi. They walked up the pathway to the main entrance, where a woman was waiting for them.

"Hello, I am Florinda, the owner of the Xanadu Nursery."

"They don't allow many tourists in anymore," Lucas explained. "Because of the increase in the number of Grass Pokemon, there are concerns that someone may get hurt. It's because we have some powerful Pokemon with us that we even got permission to visit."

"Which is nonsense," Florinda snorted. "There's hardly any wild Pokemon here; they have mainly tamed Pokemon that have been abandoned or their trainers have died. But try and explain that to the government."

Lucas had researched how trainers could abandon Pokemon when a bond was in place. It was pretty simple and sad. If a trainer wanted to abandon a Pokemon, they deliberately mistreated the Pokemon until the Pokemon broke the bond themselves.

Florinda led them inside, and Lucas was instantly entranced by the unique atmosphere. It was like a small untamed forest, with a heavenly scent of flowers perfuming the air. He watched as a group of oddish scuttled out of the grass before disappearing again behind a tree. Beside him, Faith looked equally entranced as she spun around, a huge smile on her face.

"How do you stop the Pokemon from eating all the plants?"

"Most of these plants are not suitable for consumption," Florinda explained, leading them to a row of spindly yellow plants. Florinda picked up a branch and told them to stand back. She poked the plant, and it violently released a yellow spore into the air. "This plant is called a Stun Stem, and it releases a spore that mimics the properties of Stun Spore."

"That is so cool," Lucas said.

"Well, I will leave you to yourselves now," Florinda said. "The picnic basket is over there, next to the entrance. Enjoy."

"A picnic basket," Faith raised an eyebrow. "You have put a lot of thought into this."

"We're just getting started," Lucas smirked before jogging over to retrieve the basket. Even with his physique, he struggled to lift the basket. Poliwraith walked up to him and lifted the basket with ease.

"Thanks, Poliwraith."

They made their way deeper into the denser foliage and spotted a few Pokemon who scuttled away at the sight of the three Pokemon behind them. Lucas managed to get four more entries into his Pokedex before they reached a clearing in the centre.

Poliwraith placed the basket, and Lucas opened the top and retrieved a blanket, laying it on the ground. Faith stepped onto the blanket and sat down gracefully, but not before giving Lucas a glimpse of her upper thigh. He had to work hard to hide his reaction, crossing his legs and folding his arms in front of him.

Faith peeked into the basket, and her expression became confused as she reached in and brought out a Pokeball. "What is this?" Faith asked.

Lucas smiled. "After lunch, you will have the opportunity to catch a baby Pokemon in the Nursery. Florinda said that the Nursery is starting to get overpopulated, so she won't mind if a Pokemon bonds with you."

"Lucas, this is too much," Faith protested, although she clutched onto the Pokeball like a lifeline.

Lucas shook his head. "I'm only giving you a chance. There is no guarantee that a Pokemon will choose you, although they must be blind not to."

Faith leapt into his arms and hugged him. Feeling her breasts flattening against his chest, Lucas resisted the urge to push her down and give the Pokemon a lesson in human anatomy.

"Why don't we get started on lunch," Lucas stroked her back softly. "The sooner you can start searching for a partner."

Faith released him, a hint of redness in her cheeks. She started unpacking the basket to hide her bashfulness. Lucas just watched her, entranced.

"Stop staring and help me out here," she commanded.

"Yes, ma'am," Lucas saluted.

They laid out a spread of cold chicken, green bean salad, bread rolls, feta cheese, potato salad, grapes, and gelato. Lucas took out a bottle of chilled wine and two flute glasses.

"You do know we are underage," Faith said, starting to fill a plate. "Are you trying to get me drunk?"

'Off a bottle of wine?" Lucas scoffed. "Not likely. Besides, dad probably instructed his Pokemon to keep an eye on us, so I don't have my wicked way with you."

Faith shook her head. Lucas took the last items out of the basket: three massive containers with the Pokemon's food inside. No wonder he couldn't lift the thing properly. He should have used Telekinesis to show off in front of Faith.

Lucas walked over to the Pokemon and gave them their lunch. Lucas and Faith ate while chatting about various topics. He noticed that she mentioned the kids at the orphanage a lot. They meant a lot to her, and he enjoyed watching her get so animated. Gone was the girl who had a perpetual scowl on her face. This was the real Faith when she was comfortable and in her element.

"So, are you going to tell me about you being an Aura User?" Lucas asked, having forgotten about it until now.

"There's nothing much to say," Faith shrugged. "I am self-taught and have only learned to create a shield. We cannot all be prodigies like you and create skills out of nothing."

"I'm not a prodigy," Lucas denied. "Remember, I told you how I have Balanced Aura because of the experiments? I think that gives me an unfair advantage."

"Don't sell yourself short."

Lucas hummed. "Are you interested in learning some new techniques? I have a few that I could teach you, like Aura Sheen of Armament."

"I would like that," Faith smiled.

"Why haven't you registered with the Aura Guardians? Aura Users are in high demand. I don't think the Director would dare to mess with you if you had their backing."

"Because I am still underage," Faith said. "I would have to go through the Director because he is my guardian until I turn fifteen. Plus, I don't have much trust in the authorities."

"One thing puzzles me, though," Lucas said. "Why doesn't the media know that you are an Aura User? You revealed it in the forest just like me."

"I asked the group not to say anything," Faith spooned some gelato into her mouth. "When they didn't agree straight away, Mustang threatened them. They certainly agreed pretty fast after that."

"Remind me to thank the guy," Lucas said.

Faith's tongue chased a bit of gelato stuck on her bottom lip, and he had to look away at the innocent eroticism on display. He looked around with Aura Sight and noticed a Pokemon hiding behind a tall patch of grass.

He tapped Faith on the shoulder and pointed. "Look over there."

Faith looked at the Pokemon hiding in the grass. "Do you know what Pokemon it is?"

"It's a Tangela," Lucas said. "Try offering it some of the leftover salad."

Faith opened the container and crawled forward, placing it on the grass. "Hello there. Are you hungry?"

Tangela stuck her head out. The vines wiggled as she stared at the container. It was hard to make out her expression since only a pair of eyes could be seen, but he imagined it was eager for food.

Tangela crept closer, her short feet shuffling along in a comedic matter. When it reached the container, one of her vines grabbed a leaf of lettuce, and it disappeared into the void of darkness below her eyes.

Faith waited, letting the Tangela relax some before she crawled closer. Tangela peered at her, but it didn't seem to be scared of her. It appeared that it was used to a human's presence. Faith reached out and stroked its vines, and one of them reached out to tickle her hand.

Faith giggled and continued to stroke its vines. After the Tangela finished the salad, it crawled into Faith's arms.

"Wow, it can't be that easy?" Lucas asked, unknowingly sounding like a hypocrite after how easily Max had bonded with him.

"What do you say?" Faith asked Tangela. "Do you want to become my partner?"

Tangela responded by reaching out and grasping the top of her dress and almost pulling it down. Faith gasped, removing the vines and fixing her dress.

Lucas wiped his itchy nose. He could have sworn he just had a massive nosebleed. "Tangela is a massive pervert, but it brings some delightful benefits. You must catch it now," Lucas persuaded.

Faith glared at him but picked up the Pokeball and touched it to Tangela. She pressed the button, and the Tangela froze before a golden light surrounded them. After half a minute, Faith relaxed, and Tangela vanished.

"Congratulations. You just got your first Pokemon." Lucas reached out and hugged her. "The Pokeball is calibrated to my house. Just summon it back."

Tangela came back, and Faith hugged it to her side. Lucas mentally patted himself on the back for a successful first date.

So what do you think? Next chapter, the Director makes an appearance, and Lucas decides he needs to pay for his crimes.

Cheers.
