Dolly and Dylan both stood upon a cliff, high above a vast ocean. It was the essence of beauty that stood upon everything that seemed to be the center of the world.
And in the very very center of it….
….was Dolly and Dylan's confidence.
Dolly and Dylan no longer felt nervous here, upon this rock. They loved each other, and this was their new way…
Dylan pawed the ground in pure excitement.
"So, what do we do now…!?" Dylan asked in his joy. Dolly giggled as she turned to her brother.
"That's easy for me!" Dolly stepped closer to Dylan. She was overjoyed that she could share her dreams with him. She hovered near him, wanting to lean into his arms, but she held back with a smile. "...I want me and you to leave our mark on this world!"
Dylan's smile faded as he blinked in ponder.
"...Mark…?"
"...Yeah….." Dolly looked out towards the water, with Dylan following suit. They stared at the world, admiring it from a far. "...I want me and you to be more than just any old dog, Dylan….. I want us to be known to this entire world! Be something….. Together!"
"... Something ….. together …." Dylan repeated in a nod, thinking about it. He smiled back at Dolly. "Yeah! I like the sounds of that!"
Dylan and Dolly blushed as they stared at one another, feeling so much for one another. They knew each other better then any other dog. They knew they could be with one another now.
They leaned in to kiss…
… Until there was a sharp whine.
"HELP ME! SOMEONE PLEASE!"
Both Dylan and Dolly jumped hard. They sensed the yell came from below.
Dolly and Dylan carefully leaned over the jagged cliff and saw who had called for help.
Domino, the dalmatian in a red sweater, who had mocked them for being together, was hanging on a branch.
"Domino…?" Dylan mumbled in confusion as Dolly and Dylan exchanged glances.
"Please! I'm going to die!" Domino cried in great fear.
Dolly almost felt sorry for him, so she reached down her paw. Dylan didn't object.
Domino slowly swung his body over and snatched the paw. With a grunt Dolly began to lift him.
Right when Domino let go of the branch though, Dolly stopped, leaving Domino suspended into the air.
Domino felt his heart drop in fear, and his eyes widened. Dylan felt his eyes widen too.
"...Dolly?" Dylan asked, unsure of her intentions,
Dolly smiled wickedly.
"...You shouldn't have mocked us!" Dolly stated.
Domino shook his head in a panic, looking sick and scared.
"N-No! Don't! I had too!"
Dolly began to lift her arm, but in anger.
"Had to what?! Treat us like scum?!"
"N-N-No! P-Please! Have MERCY-"
But it was already too late….
… Dolly had already let go.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Domino screamed as he fell, frailing his arms in a deathly fright.
"NO!" Dolly yelled out, but she instantly shut her own mouth with her own paws. She had widened eyes as she slowly scanned the room.
There were many puppies around, but some of them only stirred. Dolly looked down feeling guilty for screaming.
Dolly slowly let go of her mouth and stared at one of her paws.
She still felt the vibe she felt during the dream. She had a malice hate for Domino….
…..But would she really let Domino go to his death? Would she really hate him that much?
Sure, he mocked Dolly and Dylan, but even Dolly should have expected for a random dog to judge the both of them.
However, what got to her the most was when Domino told her that he didn't like her.
….. He hated her.
She didn't know why, but she wished she knew. Did Domino know her somehow? He obviously knew they were brother and sister, and tried to play it off as he didn't know them at all at first.
….. It was only when Dylan and Dolly accidentally revealed they were on a date that Domino showed his true self.
… Dylan ….
She slowly looked over across the hall, and saw the other room. She knew Dylan was in there.
She touched her lip again, remembering how Dylan kissed her last night in his tree house. It was a wondrous moment.
She got up and began to quietly wandered the house a bit, trying to keep her mind off her fresh, and very recent dream. She soon found herself peering into an empty room. She stares into it. She figured it easier to stretch out in a much emptier room.
…. It was pretty private too…
She looked across the hall, towards Dylan's room.
Her mind went back to their kiss…
She felt her soft lips with her paw again…
She stayed that way for a long silent moment. She felt a strong sense of longing.
Oh, how she would love a kiss in the morning…..
In the morning, as the sun slowly rose into the sky, during the crisp and cool morning.
Nearly everyone was asleep in the house on Dalmatian street. All the pups and the parents slept peacefully amongst the house.
However, their eldest son was the first one awake. Dylan was sitting upstairs staring through the window and loving how beautiful the sunrise was this morning. He was smiling, and he was quite happy.
Dylan and Dolly were doing just fine again. He couldn't get the night before out of his head. However, unlike the day before, he was happy how it ended.
Dylan and Dolly had kissed. This made Dylan feel a lot different. He couldn't help but to dream about that kiss over and over again. He just couldn't be rid of that amazing feeling they had shared together.
So many wonderful thoughts were rolling around in Dylan's head….
After Dylan had waited for a few hours, he heard a few joyful puppies wake up within the morning's very few hours of the morning, ready to face the day themselves.
Dylan smiled to the wonderful sounds. This made him think of Dolly as well. He slowly made his way across the hall slowly, before he slowly peered into the room where Dolly was sleeping.
It was just him and Dolly in this room.
He didn't think she would mind if she had found out he was in here with her. Dylan just couldn't sleep anymore this morning….
Dolly just wouldn't leave his mind ….
Hearing the pups enjoy the morning ….
The birds chirped gracefully….
The morning sunlight casted its way inside this small room that was upstairs. Dylan turned and his smile slowly faded. The morning light had shined upon Dolly, allowing her to glow as she bathed in the morning's beauty.
This morning was turning out to be slow, but yet, very beautiful….
This made Dylan's heart race slowly. This made him long for her. Although he knew he'd have to correct his act around his family…. Even so…. He began to have a wonderful idea as it slowly surfaced.
He smiled when he had this small thought…
He approached her slowly. Dolly was lying on her side and she was smiling as well. Dylan started to wonder if she was thinking about him as she slept.
He looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was near the door, or if anyone would peer through it.
Noticing that the close was clear, he turned back to Dolly. He slowly leaned down towards her.
Dolly was fast asleep. Her first experience in this new morning was what had awoken her. Dylan slowly met with her lips. She felt Dylan kiss on her lips slowly.
She moaned a bit, before she could even realize what was happening. Her tired eyes opened slightly. She felt herself smile, as she seemed to kiss back as she tried to pull her head back at the same time.
Evening though she pulled back, she tiredly giggled, returning Dylan's kiss.
"Dylaaaan~ What are you doing?" She asked, sounding very, very tired. Her eyes remained closed for a bit, before she let them tiredly open.
"It's a beautiful morning….." Dylan told her, in a respectful whisper. He rubbed his face against hers. Dolly shyly smiled.
She was enjoying his affection this morning. Knowing her wish earlier this morning had just come true.
Dylan looked into her tired eyes with a smile. Dolly wondered how long he had been waiting for her. Her heart started to race a bit, causing her to become a little less tired.
" …. I wanted you to see it …." Dylan whispered to her, sounding oddly confident.
They ended up staring into each other's eyes for a short moment.
Dolly slowly stood up, wanting even more affection from her brother, but she knew odds were not in her favor. To keep them safe from shame and or humility, she had to act reasonably. She smiled confidently.
She turned, willing herself to take control of the day.
She slowly walked past Dylan.
Dylan lost his smile in awe as he saw how confident she looked, as if she was ready for anything.
She stopped upon the stairs and looked down upon it.
There stood Dawkin, to Dolly's delight.
Dawkin saw her, and instantly jumped from his own emotions.
"Ooooh, Dawkin!" Dolly called in a cocky, but sweet manner.
Dawkin fidgeted with his knuckles.
"Hi! ..Yes, Dolly…?" Dawkin replied, nervous that this was leading to more of this affection nation he had been battling for a few days now.
Dolly tilted her head with a sigh as Dylan, and unannounced to them, Da Vachi, approached the conversation.
"Let's play tag." Dolly announced indefinitely.
This created a ruckus between them.
"Tag?" Dylan asked.
"...Tag?!" Da Vachi asked as she was just finishing wiping the sleepiness out of her eye.
Dawkin finally realized her plot. She wanted to talk to Dawkin alone….. and she might be wanting to show off to Dylan.
Dolly soon approached Dawkin with a confident smile. She gave him a knowing look as she got closer. Dawkin let out a small sigh, knowing it was most likely not in his best interest to refuse her odd request.
He slowly reached out
"Tag." Dawkin breathed…
….And he took off!
Dylan slowly raised his brow as he watched Dolly run after him. He felt his confusion and his longing. However, he didn't think he needed to follow after Dolly. He figured she knew what she was up to.
"Any idea what that was about….?" Dylan asked anyway.
Da Vinci watched Dolly chase Dawkin into the living room.
"My guess…." Da Vinci pondered for a moment. "... .She wants to talk to Dawkin …."
Da Vinci started down the stairs.
"Go follow them. I'll go get my canvas and we can try to make peace with what we have of this situation." Da Vinci instructed as she went down the stairs, and soon turned the corner.
Within the living room, Dolly had him cornered.
Dawkin tried to escape this corner, but each time he turned to slip by his eldest sister, Dolly was on top of it, blocking his path.
As soon as Dolly knew she had caught his small, but wise brother she leaned in with a confident, but serious smile.
"How much do you know…?" Dolly questioned him with her smile. Dawkin panicked and fumbled his paws together.
"H-How much do I-I know….? Kn-Know what!?" Dawkin asked, acting as if he knew nothing.
Dolly smiled, even if her expression grew more and more confident. She squinted her eyes a bit. Dawkin also saw how serious her expression was becoming.
… It also looked like she was beginning to enjoy the pressure she was putting on Dawkin.
"Oooh, I guess even smart pups can play dumb…." Dolly teased, with only a hit of frustration within her voice, but she smiled greatly. She pressed forward and met Dawkin, muzzle to muzzle.
"How much do you know about….. Me and Dylan?" Dolly demanded to know. Dawkin hesitated. He didn't know exactly how to answer.
"... I- I…. Um…. Well….."
He wondered how much Dylan had spoken to Dolly. However, he could tell from Dolly's confident and oddly happy expression, that the two of them might have spoken quite a bit. He just wasn't exactly sure.
"I know about…. t-the date…. And…. how you guys…. ran into the street dogs…. and all that intells…" Dawkin shyly explained. He started to shift nervously. He rubbed the back of the head. "... And how…. Dylan… li-li-li-lik-"
Dolly leaned in with a sweet smile.
"How he…. liiiiikes me?" Dolly finished in a teasing way. She was enjoying the fact she felt comfortable being open with Dawkin. Dawkin nervously stuttered out nonsense upon hearing this.
"He…. Yeah…. Uh…. Um…" Dawkin rubbed his arms slowly. He didn't really know what to say at this point. He felt awkward. He had no idea what to think.
…. He even began to blush.
Dolly smirked. Dolly soon swooped down and grabbed Dawkin by his collar. With him as nervous as he already was, he didn't fight back.
Dolly went to a window, and opened a window with her head. She quickly threw Dawkin out and she tried to follow just as quickly.
"AIPE!"
Dylan and Da Vinci looked to see if the coast was clear, and followed much more carefully.
At the tree house, everyone was lodging around more care freely.
Even Dawkin, who didn't like this idea at all, was more relaxed with just the four of them knowing this weird happening. He was sitting on a box, kicking his feet, and grinding his paw knuckles into the wood nervously.
"...So…..you two really…" He twirled his paw once, in great annoyance. He breathed the words out slowly. "...are dating now….?"
Dylan and Dolly were lying next to each other, with Dolly hugging into Dylan's body.
Da Vinci was sitting near Dawkin. She didn't know how to feel, but she wasn't nearly as shy or nervous as her brother Dawkin was.
Dylan wanted to hug onto Dolly, but he was feeling a little bit nervous to just do as he felt.
"Uh….. Yeah…. …." Dylan answered honestly. Dylan and Dolly exchanged a quick glance. "We are…."
There was a moment of silence, but Dawkin crossed his arm, and gave into his feelings.
"Well, I'm going to be the bad news breaker…." Dawkin said this, and Dylan blinked as Dolly frowned. "... It's wrong!"
Dolly almost stood, but she could feel Dylan's paw holding her hip to keep her from losing her cool. She went to stand up, but because of Dylan, she merely shuffled her body in his arm, remaining in a laying position.
"You just don't get it!" Dolly tried to argue with Dawkin. Dawkin ended up rolling his eyes slowly.
"What's not to get?" Dawkin asked her with annoyance. He pointed at them. "That my brother and his sister are doing something nearly everyone will claim is taboo!? Which it is!"
Dylan looked down, thinking about it. He then looked back up slowly.
"She's right … You have no idea how we've been feeling…. I don't think it's going to go away…." Dylan tried to explain slowly, understanding that Dawkin would most likely not listen.
Dawkin was getting frustrated by this conversation. He felt like no matter what he told Dylan that he would never attempt to listen to reason. Dawkin stood a little.
"And it will never go away if you two keep pursuing this…. this…. Tomfoolery!" Dawkin argued loudly. Da Vinci tried to reach over to try to calm him down, but he thrusted his shoulder away from her.
He stepped forward. He looked really angry.
"And I have to say; I've just about had it!" Dawkin admitted through his anger. He pointed hard towards his two eldest siblings. "And I'll put a stop to this once and for all!"
Dawkin turned and started to march towards the exit of the tree house.
"I'm telling Mom and Dad!"
That was when Dylan and Dolly stood up, panicked and worried. Dolly rushed over and got in his way.
"Oh! No you're not….." Dolly told him in a worried, but confident way. This caused Dawkin to stop. He frowned hard, annoyed by her resilience. However, before he could say anything in reply, she brought her head forward. She tried to give him a big, confident smile. "Cause ….. ''We're'' going to tell them…."
This caused Dawkin's face to shift his expression. Da Vinci even stood up to cup her paws to her mouth to hold in her surprise. Dylan was silent, he could feel the vibe in the air, and he could tell that Dolly was actually nervous about this whole thing, even though she could hide it very well.
"Y-You are….?" Da Vinci asked with a quiet and nervous voice. She stepped a little closer, and so did Dylan. The two wanted to see how this played out, and Dylan was slowly becoming more and more nervous about Dawkin's reaction towards all this.
"Y-Yeah…. We talked about it last night…" Dylan added, wanting to convince Dawkin their intentions on not hiding this forever.
Dawkin slowly crossed his arms, and he slowly stared at Dolly's smile for a moment. They stared at each other for a moment. Then Dawkin slowly smiled.
"Okay…. So…." Dawkin leaned in a little closer with a small, sly smile. "Go tell them….."
Dolly's smile instantly faded to her younger brother's request. She paused. Then her cheeks started to flush with a bright red.
…. She slowly sunk her head lower.
"Well….. I…. uh….. I don't think we should like…. tell them right away….." Dolly stuttered through her shyness. Dawkin slowly raised his eyebrow slowly. He let out a short and small fake laugh.
"Oh…. and just whhhhy not?" Dawkin asked slowly, doubting her words. Dolly felt embarrassed by just the mere thought of telling their parents. This was when Dylan slowly stepped near Dolly. He did so slowly, trying to cut the tension as well.
"Well…. We don't… really want to….. rush that part…." Dylan tried to tell him, but he didn't understand where he was actually going with that statement, as he was just trying to delay it a little bit. However, Dolly's head perked up with an embarrassed expression.
"I-I mean c'mon Dawkin! T-Try to understand this in our shoes for a moment….." Dolly asked of Dawkin.
"Ew, gross…. No thank you….." Dawkin commented, shaking his head a little. However it was Da Vinci who just stood up, to stand up for her siblings.
"But they're right! If they tell mom and dad right now, they would be devastated! We need to think about this Dawkin!" Da Vinci pleaded as she stepped up to his side.
Dolly sat down slowly. She started to rub her arm slowly.
"I-I mean….. We just started this ….. And wh-who knows…. This all called be a silly…. silly phase….. Or something….." Dolly shyly explained. She slowly looked at Dylan. Dylan however, looked upset when she had said this.
"I….. hope it… isn't a….. phase….." Dylan expressed honestly. Hearing this made Dolly's ears droop downward a little. Her gaze slowly fell to the floor. She didn't like that idea either.
"Yeah…. Me too…." Dolly admitted, feeling the same way as Dylan did. As wrong as it might have felt…. …. She didn't want it to be just a phase either. She loved him, more than she ever should.
There was an odd silence that began to linger. Dawkin paid attention to his eldest siblings carefully. As much as he hated the idea of them being attracted to one another…. He did feel bad for them. He may not understand their feelings they recently developed, but did comprehend the sadness they might be feeling, and how nerve wracking this had to be for them.
Dawkin eventually rolled his eyes. He growled at himself slowly.
"Look…." Dawkin started, drawing in Dylan's and Dolly's attention. Da Vinci stepped forward to listen as well.
Dawkin jabbed a finger towards them.
"You two have one week….." Dawkin offered them suddenly. He lowered his finger, still silently growling. "That's only for you two to have time to come to your senses…"
Dawkin slowly looked away, as he sighed.
"Figure it out….." Dawkin told them quietly. He then gave them a serious glare. "Because one way or the other…. I'm going to tell mom and dad if you don't…."
Dylan's and Dolly's head slowly lifted up to their original level. The two of them exchanged each other's expressions before they turned back to their younger brother.
Dolly and Dylan let themselves smile warmly.
"Fine. Fine …. Deal!" Dolly agreed for the two of them. Dawkin let out his sigh as he knew what was ahead now. Da Vinci eventually let herself smile.
Da Vinci ended up hopping her way towards them. She was wagging her tail furiously with joy.
"So-So… So what are you two gonna do today! I heard the weather's supposed to be very, very grand!" Da Vinci asked, very happy and quite excited for the new day.
Dawkin rolled his eyes.
"Oooh, I'm sure those two are planning all sorts of awkward things…." Dawkin started to count his paws. "Kissing…. Cuddling …Exchanging spit…."
Dawkin gestured two air quotes.
"Doing the 'Cootie Dance'…." Dawkin ended up confusing himself when he thought about what he just said, then he ended up looking shyly away. "... Or whatever parents do…. behind closed doors…."
Da Vinci's head ended up tilting to Dawkin's last thought.
"Cootie…. Dance…?" Da Vinci asked, confused on what that actually meant, however, she wouldn't get the answer cause Dolly stepped forward.
"We're not going to do any of those things….." Dolly states, before she leaned forward with a confident smile. "Cause we're not gonna spend the day together!"
This time, it was Dylan who tilted his head in confusion..
"We're….. not…..?" Dylan repeated in question, feeling a new way of disappointment soar in his stomach.
Dolly turned, giving her boyfriend a soft smile.
"Of course not, Dilly~" She told him sweetly. She scooted closer, trying to comfort the disappointment she saw in his eyes. "Think about it….. Before we fell in love, our interests weren't even remotely similar….."
She twirled her paw slowly to continue her point.
"I mean…. You're into Poetry…. Poodle wolf…. You actually enjoy your chores …." Dolly slowly put her paw down. "... I think its best if we don't change our usual routine…. Too much…."
Dylan looked down, he almost seemed really disappointed, but he knew deep down that she was right. He shuffled his left paw, trying to deal with the idea of not being around Dolly for most of the day.
"Oh…. uh…. Y-Yeah…. Sure…. Your….. Um….. Your right….." Dylan slowly agreed, even though he couldn't hide how disappointed he was. He really wanted to spend time with her. He wanted her. He wanted to feel like they were together.
However, Dolly smiled sweetly to his sadness. She knew that he truly liked her, and his feelings were true. She slowly stood up. She leaned in towards his ear slowly.
Dylan's eyes widened slowly when she approached.
"... And later….."
Dolly shyly shifted her muzzle and paused underneath Dylan's ear, becoming a little shy.
"I'll…. be here…. tonight…."
Dylan's disappointment melted away when she promised him that. In fact, it excited him. He smiled slowly. Dawkin looked around, for no particular reason trying to figure out what Dolly just whispered..
"W-Wait! What did she just tell you…!?" Dawkin tried to ask quickly. Dolly stepped back from Dylan, trying to not blush too hard. Dylan was grinning ear to ear.
"Okay! ….I can live with that…." Dylan confirmed for her. With this Dolly was satisfied with their plans she walked passed Dylan and proceeded to climb out of the tree house. Dylan slowly got up and followed her out.
"H-Hey! Answer me! Dylan! Dolly!?" Dawkin kept asking through his frustration. He got up and he followed them. "I don't like being ignored!"
Da Vinci ended up giggling as she watched Dawkin desperately chase after them. She smiled as she grabbed her canvas and she followed Dawkin down the treehouse.
They all slowly entered the house. The two eldest siblings went into the house first, ready to do their chores.
….. And ready to face this new day, head on.
Doug and Diliah were smiling themselves as they had just completed their final repair to the floors and ceilings. Everything was pretty much back to normal with the interior of their living rooms.
There were pups everywhere, and Diggs soon fell off the railing and into a sea of pups.
Delilah took a sigh to let out stress.
"Yup…..It's home again." Delilah seemed to express in her own relief. Dylan and Dolly walked in slowly with Dawkin and Da Vinci shortly following. Dylan and Dolly smiled upon seeing all their siblings running around.
When their parents saw them, Doug's head lifted slowly. He was leaning on the wall, resting from all his hard work.
"Oh! There you two are…. I was wondering where you two were…." Doug greeted them, admitting his curiosity. He slowly stood up. Delilah slowly stood up as well.
"We almost thought you guys left the house without taking care of your brothers and sisters…." Delilah admitted her suspicious.
Dolly almost flinched to the statement, but she twirled her ears in confidence, to wipe away her doubt, and she giggled.
"Our siblings come first in EVERYTHING!" Dolly admitted. She soon swooped up Diggs, and put him on her head. "Who else would look after them when you two finally return to work?"
Dough and Delilah smiled to Dolly's response. Dylan ended up smiling warmly to this as well. He then made his way towards a broom.
"I'll tidy up the upstairs first…." Dylan offered as he made his way up the stairs.
Dolly, who fought the urge to follow, walked up to Deiliah.
"Mom…? Anything fun I could do?" Dolly asked, blinking with the want of adventures.
Delilah put a paw towards her mouth, trying not to laugh at her request.
"Heh…. Fun…?" Delilah repeated, trying hard not to smile too much. She turned slightly. "I suppose you could round up the rest of the puppies…. I haven't seen all of them this morning…."
Dolly at first was going to continue smiling, but now she realized she instead got sucked into chore city. She frowned and walked forward.
"Finnnnne. I'll do a head count and the Health checks…..." Dolly moaned, not hiding her true feelings.
Doug and Delilah exchanged their own smiles, as they were trying their best to not laugh at Dolly's reaction.
"Well, they seem to check out…" Delilah commented. Doug nodded.
"Yeah…. Hey! Say!" Doug got an idea. "Since we both don't go to work until tomorrow, let's help the two out. I get Dylan, you help Dolly?"
Delilah smiled gracefully as she started to step back.
"Splendid! It would be a nice change of pace from all of these repairs!" She agreed, feeling excited to work on something else.
She turned and started heading towards the direction Dolly went.
Doug nodded a few times before going towards Dylan's direction.
Little did everyone know, Da Vinci and Dawkin was watching from the very top of the stairs's railing.
Dawkin shook his head, feeling disappointment in his siblings overshadowing his heart. However, when he looked over to Da Vinci…it seemed as if she couldn't keep her mind off of them, Dawkin could sense it… in an odd sense of wonder.
"...You're enjoying this….. Aren't youy…?" Dawkin asked. Da Vinci turned to him, and noticed he was narrowing his eyes.
Da Vinci paused for a moment, wondering what Dawkin's question meant. She turned back to gaze towards the bottom floor, watching the pups follow their mother into the other room.
Da Vinci felt a little shy, so her cheeks became a soft pink.
"... Well…. I do enjoy watching them become…. Happier…." Da Vinci honestly answered, although she felt her paws grip the reeling a bit harder as she peered through the gaps of it.
Dawkin leaned forward a little, pondering in an angry groan. He leaned back and eyed Da Vinci.
"And if…..it makes them sadder?" Dawkin questioned in a sense of a warning.
Da Vinci's shy smile soon faded. She thought about it for a moment. Da Vinci and Dawkin let this question linger as they watched their many brothers and sisters run around as they were gathered.
"... I …. don't…. know …"
It was much later in the day now. Dolly and Da Vinci had already left the house together. Dylan thought it was nice that Dolly was getting closer to one of their sisters.
Dylan however, was worried that Dolly had decided to spend the day outdoors.
….. This led Dylan to worry about one major issue they still had….
Domino and his gang of street dogs. This worried him to no end. He couldn't stand the idea of Bones or Domino trying to hurt her ….. or worse.
Without an excuse to follow Dolly, Dylan remained at the house. Dawkin and Dylan was out in the back yard, spending the day together, much like how Dolly and Da Vinci was.
Dawkin was lying on one of the lawn chairs. He was laying there watching his brother run back and forth from one end of the yard and then back to the other.
Dawkin eyes felt locked in his elder brother as he ran past him once again. Dylan ran toward his tree house once again, slightly kicking off of it as he ran by.
"Lap… 52!" Dylan announced as he turned back to run past Dawkin again. Dawkin was becoming bored. He laid his head on his arm slowly.
Dylan ran to the fence and he touched it with his paw before turning around to race back to the tree house.
Dawkin watched Dylan run by once again. This was when Dawkin decided to mention the elephant in the yard.
"What…. are you doing….?" Dawkin asked slowly, almost able to guess the answer. He just figured it was easier to ask Dylan himself.
Dylan kicked off the tree again.
"... 5-.. 53!" Dylan ran by him again. He wasn't trying to ignore him, but Dylan didn't hear him. Dawkin frowned as Dylan touched the fence and turn around with a heavy breath.
Dawkin stood slowly on the lawn chair. This time he waited for Dylan to get close. Right as Dylan got close, Dawkin raised his head up to the air.
"DYLAN!" Dawkin hollered in anger, trying to get his attention. Dylan eyes widen when he missed a step, falling right on his chest.
"Oof!" Dylan puffed out, losing some of air due to the fall. Dylan turned his head to his brother. He paused, merely just staring at his brother. Dawkin rubbed his claw into his own chest, in an attempt to make them shine.
"Oh good…. You CAN hear me…." Dawkin stated confidently with a cocky smile. Dylan sort of gave him a soft smile as ye remained on the ground.
"Yeah….?" Dylan confirmed with confusion in his voice. He slowly sat up, dusting off his chest with one of his paws. "What's up, bro?"
Dawkin smile shifted into a softer one.
"Why are you running laps in the backyard?" Dawkin asked, cutting straight to his curiosity. Dylan felt himself smile more shyly. He looked down.
"Oh, uh…. I can't get Dolly out of my head…." Dylan honestly told him. This caused Dawkin's eyes to roll.
"Oh, wow..." Dawkin then glared at him, almost feeling annoyed. "... Shocker…."
Dylan shook his head a slight smile, trying to ignore his brother's slight tease. Dawkin laid back down slowly.
"So what's the real reason….? Are you trying to bulk up just to impress your sister?" Dawkin continued to ask, trying to get a better answer. This was when Dylan lost his smile. He looked slightly down..
"No…. I mean,... Sure, I guess…." Dylan rubbed his shoulder. Then he looked at Dawkin with a serious expression. "... But the real reason is… I'm just…. worried about her…."
Dawkin raised his brow, trying to understand, he had his theories of course.
"What got you so worried….?" Dawkin asked, trying to let Dylan answer for himself. Dylan looked towards the sky.
"Cause she's out there…. And somewhere out there…." Dylan let his head down to growl under his breath. "Is Domino….. and his mutts…."
Dawkin let himself smile softly. He understood, even though he figured it was this that had gotten Dylan so worked up.
"Ah…. So what?" Dawkin's started to question further. He inched closer. "You think they'll mess with her….?"
Dylan hated that thought. He looked slightly away, showing fear within his expression.
"... I can't stand the thought…. not being able to protect her….." Dylan expressed slowly. He then growled at himself, turning back to his brother with a very serious expression. "That's why I decided to get stronger…. So the next time I run into those mutts….. I'll be ready.. .."
Dawkin was slowly nodding, taking in his information. He understood his brother's concern, at least a lot better than Dylan's personal feelings for Dolly.
Dylan wanted to get stronger to protect the ones he loved…. Nothing strange about it.
Sure, it was Dylan's love for Dolly that was helping push him past his limit, but he knew Dylan wanted to be ready for those street dogs as well.
"I see….." Dawkin stood up and he hopped off the lawn chair. He smiled cunningly to his bigger brother. "Well, if you keep running laps around the yard….. I'm sure you can run away alot easier…"
Dylan shook his head, confused by that statement. Dylan frowned as he leaned close to his brother.
"What!? Who said I was going to run away!?" Dylan questioned, insulted by that mere thought. Dawkin laughed a little. He trotted towards the middle of the yard.
"I'm just saying…. running will only increase your running speed and stamina…." Dawkin slowly sat down. He was smiling confidently. "I mean sure, it can help you get in shape…. But your overall strength won't be given your desired effect!"
Dylan stood there, paying attention. His eyes looked for his next question, thinking about this carefully…
"Then…. What do you think I should do?" Dylan asked slowly, really wanting to know. Dawkin rubbed his chin a little bit.
"Well….." He started to think out loud. "Many things actually…."
"Like….. what?"
Dawkin slowly looked around the yard.
"You know…. Anything that involves strength…. Like picking up objects, push ups, sit ups, chin ups….."
Dylan then smiled confidently. He then rubbed his two front paws together.
"Alright….. push ups then!" Dylan decided as he quickly got on all fours, keeping his back two legs tightly together. He kept himself straight. He then began to bend his elbows to perform a push up..
"Okay…. Oooonnn-" However, Dylan's strength failed him quickly. His body didn't want to go back up. He almost managed to lift a little but his arms began to shake badly" Onnnnnnnne-!?"
He managed to struggle….
But it wasn't long…..
His arms gave out and he hit the dirt hard. He felt stupid. His eyes looked at Dawkin for answers.
"And uh….. how many can a uh….. strong dogs usually do?" Dylan asked, wanting to know how truly weak he was. Dawkin found this funny so he couldn't help but to smile.
"Oooh I don't know…." Dawkin started to state sarcastically as he tapped his paw to his own chin, he smiled confidently as he leaned in closer. "I'd say most of them could do fifty… quite easily…."
Dylan sat slightly up, dumbfounded.
"F-Fifty!?" Dylan cried in shock. He shook his head hard, hating the fact he couldn't even do one. "Okay! For real this time!"
Dawkin watched as Dylan got back into position again. Dylan then bent his elbows to try to perform another push up.
"Down… then….. back….." Dylan mumbled to himself as he tried to lift himself back up. However, this time he did even worse. His elbows were burning and he couldn't find any strength. He was struggling really hard. "C- C'mon!"
"Why….. can't….. I….. do… One!?" Dylan complained as he tried to lift his body up, but his arms remained in a bent position.
….. Then his arms ran out of strength. He fell to the dirt hard again.
"PLAK!"
Dawkin sat there, feeling pity for his poor brother. His intentions was pure….. but his results was against him.
Dylan laid there, feeling lousy. He hated this. How was he suppose to get stronger if he couldn't even do a single push up?
He looked up with his eyes. He saw Dawkin's expression. He laid there for a moment, just letting his failure to do a push up sink in.
"... Help?"
Dawkin and Dylan were walking together through the hall. The two of them was thinking of Dylan's predicament. They were silent as they walked through their house.
Well…. Mostly silent.
"Man….. if I don't get stronger, how am I suppose to face those street dogs again!?" Dylan continued to complain. Dawkin had been listening to this whining for almost an hour now. "Bones is like…. way stronger than I am…. And I bet Domino is stronger too…."
"Hmmm…." Dawkin hummed as he was beginning to have an idea. Dylan leaned closer to Dawkin, seeking help.
"I mean- your smart! Have you thought of any ideas yet?" Dylan sought, seeking answers from his much wiser brother.
Dawkin backed off him, feeling a bit closed in.
"Well, actually….." Dawkin began to say as he found his own space again. He stepped forward and then he turned to his brother fully. "I was thinking, maybe you shouldn't need to work on your strength….."
Dylan's head tilted, he stops in his tracks.
"Huh? What? What do you mean?" Dylan began to question slowly. "How on earth an I suppose to fight Domnio and his gang without strength….?"
That was when Dawkin raised a finger to show a point. He gave Dylan a confident smile.
"When you can't beat an opponent with strength….. You use….. Skill…." Dawkin explained confidently, sure that this was the answer. Dawkin turned to keep walking down the hall to their house. Not as confused, Dylan paused before he rushed to catch back up with his little brother.
"W-What kind of skill…?" Dylan asked desperately.
"Obviously….. Fighting skills….." Dawkin told him without thinking twice about it. Dylan eyes widen. He slowly smiled to that idea. He knew he was right.
"So…. How do you learn these skills…..?" Dylan asked. Dawkin smiled shifted into a more confused smile. He gave him an odd glare.
"You really don't know that answer….?" Dawkin asked him, thinking Dylan should know this, since he was a big nerd.
"Well…. in Kung Fu movies they usually have this master…. Or something….." Dylan tried to guess. Dawkin stared for a moment, then he shook his head with a satisfied smile.
"Well…. Close enough….." Dawkin mumbled, unimpressed by Dylan's answer. They eventually made it to their living room. Dawkin jumped into one of the soft chairs. "We just need to ask someone to teach you how to fight ….!"
Dylan remained standing as he stepped in front of his brother. He slowly looked down in thought.
He liked the idea but….
"Who would do that though…..?" Dylan began to ask, becoming discouraged and doubtful. "I don't know anyone who…. knows how to fight…."
Dawkin smiled as he laid back with his paws tucked behind his head comfortably.
"Well…. Luckily for you….. I do!" Dawkin proclaimed confidently. Dylan quickly got excited and he stood in his hind legs, leaning on Dawkin's soft chair.
"Wait! You do!? Have I met him….!? Is he really good? Would he teach me?" Dylan bombarded Dawkin with many questions, becoming very excited. Dawkin smile grew a little more.
"Yeah, you met him….. I don't know how good he is….." Dawkin then shrugged a bit. "And I'm sure he would teach you…."
Dylan's tail started to wag. He got even closer.
"Well! Don't just lay there! Tell me! Who is it!?" Dylan kept asking, growing more and more excited.
There was a pause, but Dawkin gave him a confident glare.
"... Dad…"
Dylan's tail suddenly stopped for a moment. However, it was only for a moment. His tail started to wag even harder. Dylan's smile grew.
"Wait….! Dad!? He knows how to fight!?" Dylan questioned further, his excitement rising through the roof. "I didn't know that!"
Dawkin shrugged a little.
"Well…. He told us that he use to fight all the time….. I'm guessing it was before he became a fire fighter…." Dawkin explained. That was Dylan hopped off the chair and he slowly looked around.
"Oh, yeah! Dad and Mom got the day off today….!" Dylan remembered as he seemed to slowly spin in a circle of excitement. "Today would be a fantastic day to ask him!'
Dawkin nodded slowly.
"I suppose it would be…." Dawkin agreed slightly. Dylan was still looking around, but he quickly turned to Dawkin.
"Do you know where he is…?" Dylan asked quickly. However, this made Dawkin's smile fade a little.
"Uuuuh…. No…." Dawkin answered honestly. Hearing this Dylan began to walk away with a great smile.
"I'll go find him! I'm going to learn how to fight! Woohoo!" Dylan shouted with excitement. He ran off happily.
Dylan eventually found his father in the kitchen. He was gathering bowls to make an early dinner. He was humming some sort of song.
Dylan slowly made his way into the room. He approached his dad nervously.
"Hey there, Dylan….." Doug greeted his son slowly. This surprised Dylan a little. He didn't make noise, nor did his father look to see who it was.
"Oh! H-Hey Dad…. What's ya doin?" Dylan asked carefully, too nervous to just out right ask his father what he really wanted to ask.
He figured he'd just ease into it.
"Just making me, and some of the pups a small meal….." Doug explained confidently. He turned to his son with a welcoming smile. "What are you doing, Champ?"
Dylan didn't know how to answer this correctly, he was too nervous to.
"N-Nothing really….. Dad…." Dylan shyly told his Dad. It was half true, but he still felt like he was beginning to beat around the bush already. Dylan shuffled his front paw shyly. "... I uh…. I was just wondering if you was…. really busy…. i-is all…."
Doug started to fill the bowls in front of him with kibble carefully.
"No…. I'm not that busy…." Doug slowly smiled at his son with a knowing smile. "... Why?"
Dylan slowly hopped up on the counter next to his Dad. He looked down in thought, thinking about how he should approach his desire.
He then slowly looked at his Dad.
"Dad…..?" Dylan slowly started. Doug put down the bag of kibble.
"Yes, son?" Doug asked, not turning to his son. Dylan slowly tapped his paws on the counter, trying to find his courage. He slowly tried to look at his dad a little better.
"... Do you…. know how to….. Fight?" Dylan asked nervously. Doug's eyes widened. He slowly turned to his son with a baffled smile.
"Whoa ….. What brought this on, sport?" Doug asked, wanting more information to why Dylan was asking. Dylan felt shyer when he asked this. His nerves began to hold him back.
"Well….. I…. I heard you…. knew how to fight and….." Dylan slowly looked at his dad with desire in his eyes. He tried to look serious and determined. " And I… wanted to…. learn….."
Doug laughed as he hopped off the counter. Dylan followed him with his gaze, watching him try to walk away.
"Nothing good really comes out of fighting, my son…" Doug tried to inform his son. Dylan hopped off the counter and he stood straight. He tried to stand tall.
Dylan hesitanted to speak, but when he did…
He spoke boldly…..
"And….. what if someone….. that you love… is in danger…..? Am I just…. supposed to run….?" Dylan asked slowly. Doug slowly stopped his leave. "Because. … I don't think I can ….. just do that….."
Doug slowly turned to his son. He saw a strange look in his eyes. Dylan looked different. He looked….
… Serious…..
Doug had never seen this look in Dylan's eyes. He didn't look like the small, little dalmatian that Doug had raised to love.
He could tell his son had a desire…..
A desire to protect…
… The desire to fight…
He saw himself in those eyes.
"Is this….. because of those…. street dogs…..?" Doug asked, catching on. This made Dylan look down, hurt. He knew he couldn't lie to his dad about that. Dylan tried to find the right words.
"... I…. I want…" Dylan looked up, trying to put his heart into his expression. "... I want to stand up to them, Dad…..!"
Doug stared at his son, trying to understand. He knew that Dylan wasn't one to find violence appealing. So Doug knew that Dylan wanted to become stronger…. So he could stand up for his family if the need called for it.
Doug took a couple of slow steps forward.
"And…. This is for…. self defense right….?" Doug asked as he slowly approached his son. "You won't….. try to seek the fight…. right?"
Dylan shook his head slowly. He let himself smile a little.
"No, Dad…." He promised. He stepped forward himself. "I just…. want to protect someone…"
Doug paused for a moment, pondering this for a moment.
Doug smiled slowly. He stood confident with his son. He nodded slowly.
"I understand, son…."
However, Doug slowly thought about Dylan's words carefully. He slowly caught onto something. Doug chuckled a little. He had this odd smile. Dylan slowly felt the need to back up a little.
"Wait…. Did you say… there's a someone…?" Doug asked, as he slowly smiled more confidently.
Dylan sensed an odd feeling from his dad so he tried to turn and run but his dad was quick to grip his son with his arm, hooking around his son's neck. "... Now tell me! ….. Does this someone…"
Doug slowly whispered close to Dylan's ear.
"... happen to be…. A girl…..?"
Dylan's eyes widen. His face started to turn red. He felt like his secret was about to be cracked wide open …
However…..
Could he just lie to his dad?
Had he ever lied to him before?
….. At this moment he found it hard to just say anything.
The butterfly's in his stomach started to have a panic attack.
"W-What do you m-mean….. Dad?" Dylan stuttered through his shyness. That was when Doug tightened his grip.
"Oh! Come now, my boy!" Doug laughed as he started to rock his son back and forth. "I wasn't born yesterday! I can tell your all tongue tied! You're blushing… ! And you haven't even said 'No' yet!"
Dylan coughed a little.
"D-Dad….! Can't….. Breathe!" Dylan gagged as his father's grip was just too much for the weak and skinny dalmatian.
Doug let go without thinking about it.
"I knew you had it in you, son!" Doug praised as he turned around, feeling like a proud father. Dylan was too busy trying to cough and catch his breath after his father had finally stopped unintentionally chocking him.
Doug flipped back around. He was all smiles now.
"So! …What's her name?" Doug asked. Dylan was still hacking up his own air.
"N-Name….?" Dylan asked, trying to comprehend the question. Doug stepped closer.
"Yeah-Yeah! You know….. The name to you secret girlfriend!" Doug continued to questioned quickly. This was too much for Dylan to process.
….. Dolly was gonna kill him if he found out.
"... Secret… girlfriend?" Dylan asked again, trying to play dumb. However, Doug could see his blush and the way he was acting.
Doug wanted to scoot closer.
"Oh come on…. I'm your Dad…. I won't tell anyone….." Doug begged confidently. This was beginning to drive Dylan mad. His face started to flush with a bright red color. He clenched his paws tightly.
"I…. don't…. have a…. girlfriend!" Dylan freaked out as he shook his paws harshly.
Doug crossed his arms with a sly smile on he grinned greatly.
"Oooh…. You don't have to tell….." Doug told him, he then wagged a disappointed finger at him. "But don't lie to me…"
Dylan let his arms and his head fall. He drooped downward. He felt his embarrassment overwhelm him. He just couldn't convince his dad.
"Sure…. Dad….."
Doug had a great smile. He was happy to hear this news. He slowly reached out and gripped Dylan's shoulder with a caring expression.
"Hey! No need to be so shy….. I'm sure she's great! ….. And if you want, you can introduce me to her when your good and ready….." Doug offered his shy and nervous son. Dylan looked up slowly. He still felt really nervous.
He just couldn't believe that he let it slip this far.
"But you will…. Won't you?" Doug asked, wanting to be sure. Dylan couldn't handle this very well. "And you don't even have to introduce her until your good and ready…."
… How was he suppose to tell his dad no….?
"Yeah… I-... I will….. I…." Dylan couldn't help but to look shyly away. "... I …. promise ….."
Doug then slapped Dylan in the back.
"GAK!" Dylan whined when his dad unintentionally knocked him to the floor. Doug didn't even notice when he started to walk off.
"Okay! Let's go outside and I'll teach you the basics!"
"... O-Ow …"
In the room, hours later, when it was turning night.
Dolly and Deiliah had barely just finished the health check. However, it had taken longer than she had wanted.
Deepak, and the Dimitri trio had gotten into an argument. Dimitri 1 was the one who wanted Deepak to grow braver, but Deepak told them he was the older brother.
Dolly agreed with the Dimitris, but the trio was the one who had taken it too far. This caused Deiliah and Dolly to get involved.
After that, there were missing puppies, all found playing in the backyard.
After another hour, Dolly checked the last tooth from Dorothy, and dropped her flashlight.
"THERE!" Dolly announced in a groan, and she walked away from the area. Delilah gave her a glance, before turning her attention back to the other puppies, and Dorothy.
Dolly turned the corner with a frustrated frown, as she stepped up the stairs.
She was so bored, and annoyed, she couldn't get this stress off of her. It was similar to the same stress she had obtained from the morning that was before the flash flood incident.
All she wanted….
….Was not to do any more chores.
She slowly walked into the bathroom, and closed the door. She let out a sign as she leaned against the door, trying to let out her steam. She looked up, peering at the ceiling, glad to finally feel free again. She soon looked forward, and she saw herself.
She looked like a mess…..
Dolly walked over to the stool, and sat upon it, eyeing herself once more. She grabbed her favorite brush, and touched it to her ear, as she held it.
She brushed it once… twice…..
Her mind soon drifted off, and Dylan appeared in her head.
Her brother.
Dolly felt the guilt she use to have. Did she still feel guilty about all this?
Yes….. Spending time with her mother made her remember this was going to crash and burn.
Dawkin called it Taboo….
Dominio called it sick…
What would her mother call it? Dolly felt her heart throb with sadness. She slowly put the brush down.
…What…. did Dylan call it…?
Love…
Dolly looked at herself, and tried to picture it through Dylan's eyes. His nerdy brain was nothing like hers, but he wasn't a bad person, nor an idiot.
Soon she blushed as she remembered how amazing Dylan was. How heroic he was when he crashed into Bones, saving her that day. He even saved her life from the flash flood.
He was amazing…. and he had kissed her.
Dolly was blushing now as she stared into the mirror.
She wanted to look even cuter for Dylan…..
She touched her front paws together in a grasp as she tried to look as cute as she could, and quietly whispered in a sweet tone.
"Hi there…. How are you….?" Dolly asked in a sweet tone.
Dolly frowned in her blush as she looked down.
"... No…. no….."
Dolly twisted the other way, posing once more.
"Hey sweetie~! You are looking rather razzle dazzle tonight…" Dolly cooed. Dolly eyed herself for a moment, before tsking.
She hadn't realized the bathroom door had slowly opened up.
"'Razzle dazzle…?'" Dolly continued…. oblivious to the presence behind her. "...Come on Dolly, you can be cuter then-"
"Razzle dazzle does kinda sound a bit… cheesey I'd say…"
Dolly jumped so hard, she slapped the brush, in which it slid into the tub, making it slide back and forth, making a lot of noise.
Delilah jumped to the reaction, but her smile never left.
Dolly and Deiliah were quiet as the awkward silence was interrupted by the brush, slowing to a stop.
Dolly and Diliah slowly eyed one another. Dolly looked sickly, but Dolly noticed Diliah seemed almost too calm for Dolly's comfort.
"...Moooooom?!" Dolly whined as she leaned against the mirror nervously.
"What?!" Delilah giggled. "...My little Dolly is growing up, and I can't give you advice?"
Dolly felt her sweat turn cold, as she tried to ponder her situation. She realized she looked real flirty in front of her mom just now, but that didn't mean she knew that Dolly was going to hit on her own son. She made Dolly guilty as she could possibly feel.
Delilah must of saw the fear she had, as her smile slowly faded.
"Dolly… It's okay. I understand you must like other boys." Delilah told with authority, trying to kill Dolly's nerves. However, as Dolly relaxed, she seemed to become even more sad.
Dolly didn't want to lie to her mother. Dolly wanted to speak the truth.
"...Mom….." She called, wanting to talk to her. She wanted to love Dylan…..
However she wanted to not be a monster….
"Yes Dolly…?" Delilah replied carefully, with a sweet tone. Dolly took a breath.
"There….T-There is a boy…" Dolly admitted ever so slowly.
Delilah nodded, but she didn't reply at first. She had already caught on something else was a miss.
"...Okay. That's great!"
However Dolly turned hard to Deiliah, making her flinch.
"But! ..." Dolly tilted back, as a new wave of nervousness hit her. "...But …. What if…. what ….. if ….."
Delilah bravely took one step forward, nearly leaning on Dolly. Dolly felt like she could use a hug from her, but she was so guilty, she couldn't bring herself to come out of her shell.
"What if, what…?" Delilah questioned. Dolly took a stuttered breath.
"...What if you hate me for dating him….?" Dolly questioned in a whisper that she could barely make. Delilah blinked.
For a moment she was silent, but Delilah's lips moved.
"... He's not one of those …. mutts in the street ….right?" Delilah asked, purely worried.
The statement was so wrong, Dolly smiled hard with a tsk.
"W-What?! No!" Dolly answered in an astonished giggle. Delilah took a breath of fresh air.
"Oh thank god." Delilah breathed with a smile. Dolly….. However lost hers.
"But…. It is a male that will… probably make you worried…." Dolly told.
Delilah looked at Dolly's expression, and froze.
Dolly had a glare she had never seen Dolly make before.
She had a angry frown, and her eyes were like daggers.
…..She had never seen Dolly this serious before.
Delilah ended up smiling her worries away.
…. Dolly wasn't going to betray her, she told herself. Dolly wouldn't be telling the truth if she was truly in the wrong.
"So …. when can I meet him…?" Delilah questioned with a smile. Dolly blinked, surprised that she wasn't questioned her.
Dolly blinked, thinking about it, and thought about what this truly meant.
Dolly felt her stomach become so light, it made her dizzy. She was really going to reveal it was Dylan?!
Dolly shook her head.
"N-Not….. Not now…." Dolly told, feeling sickly.
Delilah blinked, seeing her reaction.
Both of them stayed quiet, with Dolly feeling worse and worse, as the silence only grew more anxious emotions.
Dolly however felt her worry lift when Delilah grasped her shoulder.
"... When ever you are ready…. You don't have to tell me right now…." Delilah told suddenly.
Dolly looked up slowly, feeling awe struck.
"W-... What?" Dolly mumbled, confused. Delilah, however, had a true smile.
"... Just …. promise me you WILL tell me who he is … before …. You dump him." Delilah told in a motherly, but very stern way. She said it in a way that Dolly knew if she crosses her mother now, she would hurt their relationship.
Dolly looked down with a understanding smile. One with worry, but also clarity.
Her mother was going to know some day…..
"... I promise mother…. I'll tell you before the end … of this month. " Dolly said in a shy manner. Delilah lost her smile as she pondered her request. Delilah nodded.
"Okay…" Delilah finished as she let go of Dolly. Delilah smiled warmly, and Dolly smiled back.
Delilah turned as her tail wagged.
"Come on child. Dad has made us a early dinner tonight! I'm sure everyone is waiting!"
Delilah soon left the room, leaving Dolly with a new feeling.
This feeling was even worse then her guilt for liking her own brother…..
… It was the worry that she was going to hurt her parents …..
Doug and Dylan set out the bowls in the kitchen, one for each pup. Originally Doug was only making food for just the few ups who were actually hungry.
….. But with Dylan's help they eventually decided to make everyone a fair share.
So they all could eat as a family.
Doug eventually went over to a small bell that was in the kitchen. Doug looked over to his son to see to confirm if they were actually ready. With a smile and nod from Dylan, Doug reached over to the bell.
Ding-a-ling! Ding-a-ling!
"Everyone! Dinner is ready!" Doug announced to the whole house. They waited for a few seconds, before finally, they could hear a waves of paws.
"Food! Food! Food!" They heard the entirety of the pups chant as they all rushed through the door.
Doug and Dylan both backed up, holding in their laughter.
One after the other the pups poured in, each claiming a bowl of food.
Doug walked over and started to tend to the pups. Dylan walked over to help, but he got distracted, with the sights of Dolly.
He paused as he watched her walk in. He was so distracted that he barely saw his mother next to her.
When he did see that his mom was entering the room right after her, Dylan was quick to pull on his collar, reminding himself to remain calm around Dolly.
He did, eventually, walk up and greet them.
"Hey, Mom!" Dylan was sure to greet her first, trying to act natural. He then looked over to his sister and he ended up smiling shyly to her. "H-Hey! Dolly…."
Dylan slowly tilted his head with his continued smile.
"I didn't know you were home already….." Dylan looked at the clock. However, he seemed surprised to see the clock had said seven o clock. "O-Oh….. is it that late already…."
Dolly ended up giggling and rolling her eyes.
"Oh please…." Dolly said through her giggle. She then looked down, almost disappointed, but she held a firm smile anyways. "I never even left the house….."
Dylan felt taken back by this, earlier he had thought she went out and about with her sister Da Vinci.
"What…? You didn't?'" Dylan asked, for sure that she had watched her leave the house. However, Dolly shook her head slowly, almost biting her lips.
"Nope…. Pup duty and all…" Dolly explained, feeling tired, not really wanting to remember all the little details that annoyed her through the day.
Delilah smiled as she walked by her two eldest children.
"We had a few…. challenges to say the least….." Delilah further explained as she walked over to her husband Doug.
*But didn't you walk out the door with Da Vinci…? I swore I watched you leave the house…." Dylan explained why he was so confused. Dolly waved it off with one of her front paws.
"Oh…. That was because a couple of pups managed to get out of the house so…. I had to round them up." Dolly explained her reasoning. She smiled warmly. She shuffled her paw a little nervously. "Da Vinci was just… a big help.."
"Ah, okay … I see…" Dylan had said as he gave Dolly a joyful smile. Dolly was going to smile as well, but she didn't get the chance, for she ended up seeing a bright purple bruise on Dylan's forehead.
Without even thinking about it she took her boyfriends shoulders with each of her paws and pulled him close.
"Woah! What are you-!?" Dylan panicked as Dolly pulled him near. She peered at the bruise now that she was a lot closer to it.
"What happened…? Did you get hit over the head!?" Dolly asked, becoming concerned. Dylan blinked a couple of times, before he let out a breath that slowly turned into a giggle.
"Oooh… That…." Dylan felt his forehead. Dolly slowly let go of her brother. Dylan continued to giggle a little.
"Are you okay? What happened….?" Dolly continued to ask, expressing her concern.
However as Dylan opened his mouth, his father leaned into her view.
"Oh! Dylan just wanted to ask his old man for a few lessons in HARD KNOCKS!" He boasted proudly.
Dylan rubbed his forehead a little.
"Oh it's nothing….. just uh…." Dylan slowly put his paw down. He looked towards his dad, seeming to smile a little bit. "I sort of….. uh…. asked dad to teach me…"
Dylan looked back towards Dolly with a shy smile.
",... How to uh …. Fight …"
Dolly raised an eyebrow. Her smile grew a little. She was almost impressed.
Dylan gave her a really goofy smile.
"Let's just say…. Dad is a little too good at sweeping me off my feet." Dylan shyly looked away, even though he never truly lost his smile. "He said that he's gonna help me…. With my fighting stance next time…."
Dolly ended up letting out a soft and sweet giggle.
"Ah… you don't say…. That's… pretty cool…" Was all Dolly could think of as a reply. The two ended up smiling at one another, becoming lost in their own gaze.
They stared at each other without even realizing it. This was happening a lot recently.
Luckily the two was quick to catch on what was happening. They turned their heads, embarrassed by the fact that they could easily do that without realizing. Dylan took a couple of steps back.
"Yeah…. right…. the food…." Dylan said as he continued to walk backwards, trying to draw a bit of space between them.
Dolly slowly bit her lips, as she almost felt disappointed that they had to keep their distances. She looked around slowly.
She then saw that there was an empty bowl by Da Vinci.
*Oh! Da Vinci!" Dolly walked over there quickly, greeting her. Da Vinci smiled to Dolly's presences.
"Why, hello there my sweet sister!" Da Vinci greeted very sweetly. Dolly was quick to claim the bowl of food next to her.
Dylan ended up sitting near their dad, who sat near their mother. Doug took in a very satisfied breath.
"Well…. It's so nice to be able to eat all together…. as one big happy family…" Doug expressed as he took this experience all in, happy to be able to spend most of the day with his big family.
Delilah nodded in agreement. She gave her husband a really soft smile.
"It sure is, my dear…." Delilah agreed, sounding blissful as well. The two parents was enjoying this moment.
This made Dylan and Dolly happy to listen to their parents. The two enjoyed this moment.
Dylan slowly went down and he started to eat slowly.
"And our family is only gonna get bigger…" Doug added. Delilah nodded again in agreement. Delilah had tooken a bite of her own kibble, as she dabbed her mouth cleaner with a small napkin.
Once she did so, she smiled at Doug.
"I know…. It's a wonderful thought isn't it?" Delilah expressed slowly, enjoying this feeling and enjoyed the ideal future they foresaw.
"And did you know…." Doug began, letting himself smile sheepishly. "That Dylan has a girlfriend… that he hasn't told us about yet…."
"Oh? Is that true?" Delilah asked, almost thrilled to hear this news.
Dylan began to choke on his kibble. He felt it stop in his throat. He ended up having to punch his own chest to keep himself from choking way too hard.
He spat out the clump of food that was in his throat. He sat up quickly.
"D-Daaaad!" Dylan whined, very a sorts of shy. He took a glance over a Dolly
Her mouth was gaped open very wide. She was shocked. She wasn't expecting that at all.
Dylan and Dolly was both embarrassed and the two were trying to hide their shy and embarrassed blush.
"Right! Right…. Sorry, forgot…." Doug held his hands up in defense, but Dylan could tell just by his smile and his expression that his father wasn't exactly sorry for blurting out that fact about Dylan.
He then held up a finger to his lips.
"It's a secret…." Doug joked, making it obvious he wasn't actually going to keep it a secret. Dylan started to grind his teeth together it nearly felt like he was going to grind his teeth til it shattered.
Dylan turned to examine Dolly's expression. She had a very mild blush that she had a heck of a time hiding. Dolly looked almost mad, but she was hiding it well, it almost looked like she was smiling in her anger.
Delilah held up a paw to her mouth and she silently giggled.
"Oh, yeah! That reminds me. …" She leaned in close to Doug, wanting to whisper. "Dolly has a secret boyfriend as well ….."
Dolly turned to her mom with a frustrated and an embarrassed expression.
"Mom!" She complained quickly. Delilah pretended to flinch, even though she was having fun with this.
Dolly and Dylan's hearts started to race heavily as the two sat there, unable to make any valid response ….
Delilah looked back to her husband, trying not to burst into laughter.
"Oops… right…. Secret…." Delilah repeated what Doug had said as well. The two started to giggle amongst themselves. Dylan, the one right next to his parents, had to look away in frustration.
Dylan now knew these two had no intentions on keeping the fact that their oldest siblings was now dating someone, a secret.
They just hoped they didn't have to reveal the harder truth right away.
Dolly heard one of the pups begin to snicker quietly. She turned her head. She knew it must of been. Upon looking towards the direction of the laughter, she confirmed who it was.
It was Dawkin, because of course it was. He was loving this….
"Hehehe… This is too good…." Dawkin whispered happily to himself. He bent downward to take a bite out of his kibble.
Dolly saw how wide his mouth was, so she used her paw to flick a large piece of kibble.
It soared and it shot into Dawkin's throat.
"KAK!" Dawkin held his throat and he gagged harshly.
Doug turned towards him. He was quite concerned.
"Woah! Son? Are you okay?" Doug asked with a worried expression.
"I'm…. fine!" Dawkin answered with a harsh voice. He was still gagging a bit, until eventually he managed to shallow it. "… Gaaah…."
Delilah shook her head slowly, disgusted.
"Dawkin! Don't eat so fast…. You know better…." Delilah lectured with a harsh voice.
Dolly had a lot of trouble hiding her giggle. Dawkin turned to her and watched as Dolly was giggling, holding in her laughter with one of her paws.
Dawkin gave her an annoyed expression. He stared for a moment, before turning his attention back to his mother.
"Sorry…. Mom?" Dawkin apologized, allowing Dolly to get away with the kibble flick.
Da Vinci was sitting a little away from everyone else, but she wasn't that hungry. It was a bit early for her to eat, so she didn't really touch her food.
She shuffled nervously. She was nervous for her two siblings. She understood their situation. She shifted her direction to her parents.
"So… Mom? Dad? Does the two of you have to go back to work in the morning….?" Da Vinci asked sweetly, wagging her tail to hide the fact she was trying to change the subject.
Doug and Delilah smiled softly towards their younger daughter.
"Yep, that's right! We got most of the house fixed…." Doug explained to their daughter, then he gave his attention to the rest of his pups. "So that means we'll be going back to our regular schedule…."
Delilah sighed hard. She rubbed her sore paws together. She gave her husband a small smile.
"It didn't feel like much of a break, did it…" Delilah commented as she felt like she worked with her paws too hard. Doug let himself chuckle out his relief. He was glad to finally be done with most of the repairs.
"No…. It did not…" Doug sighed, smiling with content. All and all, they were all just happy to eat together.
Dylan and Dolly slowly exchange a quick look towards one another. They could tell that maybe things could work out. Embarrassed and blushing, the two slowly went back to their meals.
The entire family slowly went back to eating their meal.
After a while, Delilah lifted up her head and from what Dylan could tell, she was counting.
Dylan silently chewed on his food as he watched his mom do this. It took a bit, but eventually their mother paused her counting.
"Where is…. Destiny, Deja Vu, and Dallas?" Delilah asked slowly, realizing that the small triplets were missing from this family meal.
Dylan shallowed his food quickly when he processed what she meant. He looked around slowly.
"Wait…. They're not here?" Dylan asked, realizing this was true. He didn't see them anywhere in the room.
Delilah looked around slowly, before she turned to her son.
"No…. They're usually around though…. Would one of you like to find them?" Delilah asked politely. Dylan went to open his mouth to volunteer, but he heard another voice step up instead.
"I'll go!" Dolly quickly called, standing up quickly as she was so shy, she ended up sprinting out of the room. It was a larger room so she had to run by her entire family.
Delilah smiled as she watched her run by.
Why… Thank you, Dolly…" Delilah thanked as Dolly ran by them.
"No problem!"
This was when Da Vinci stood up, wagging her tail joyfully.
"Oooh! Ooh! May I go too?" Da Vinci asked excitedly, wanting to be excused. Doug and Delilah exchanged questionable looks. However, they smiled and they turned back to their younger daughter.
"Sure! Why not?" Doug granted her permission to follow her older sister. Da Vinci hopped a couple of times as she was joyful to leave the meal she hadn't even touched.
"Thanks, Mom! Thanks, Dad!" Da Vinci thanked as she sprinted in the same manner as Dolly, racing to catch up with her sister.
Dolly was searching through the halls. She was personally glad to have an excuse to leave dinner. She didn't think she could take much more of her parents teasing nature.
She tried not thinking about it too much….
She knew that the day would come to think about telling them the truth. She also figured with their parents knowing that her and Dylan were dating someone, that it would calm Dawkin down….. at least for a little while..
Dolly focused on her task to find her deva sisters. She looked carefully for them, figuring they couldn't be too far from the dinning room.
It actually didn't take long to find them.
Dolly stopped in her tracks when she saw the three, nearly full white puppies, each with matching collars walking by.
Dolly noticed that Destiny was holding onto a piece of paper that didn't seem all that normal. This got Dolly's attention.
This was when Da Vinci ran up right by her.
"Oh goody! You found em!" Da Vinci realized, announcing her presence to her older sister. Dolly took a glance at Da Vinci, before she smiled at her. Dolly then turned back to her objective and followed her three sisters.
Destiny turned to her twin sisters, smiling confidently.
"I can't wait for tomorrow …. The three of us will surely win…." Destiny confidently encouraged her sisters as she led her pack.
"Yeah!" Deja Vu and Dallas cheered.
Dolly made herself known as she turned the corner, finding herself in front of them.
"Win what…?" Dolly asked them, nearly spooking them.
The three deva pups stepped backwards, with a shy smile.
"O-Oh! Dolly…. You spooked us…." Dallas told her with a nervous smile. The three soon regained their composer.
Da Vinci soon joined in the conversation.
"Hey, what's that piece of paper….?" Da Vinci asked Destiny, getting really, really close. Da Vinci's tail started to pat the ground with excitement.
Destiny looked at the paper and then she slowly slipped the paper behind her back.
"Wouldn't you like to know…." Destiny rudely remarked with her head held up high, refusing to tell Da Vinci.
This was when Dolly stepped behind her and she swiped the paper from her back.
"Yonk!" Dolly comedically chimed as she took the paper.
"Heeey!" The three deva girls whined.
Dolly stepped back, sitting next to Da Vinci as they both checked out the piece of paper.
….. Which actually turned out to be a fancy flier.
"Huh….?" Dolly saw that this flier was announcing something she hadn't been to before. "The first ever…. Annual Dog show, Camden London…. Hosted by dogs…. For dogs?"
"Dog show….?" Da Vinci repeated, becoming quite curious.
Dolly saw something strange that was near the bottom of the flier. She read a line that was near the bottom.
"No humans…. Allowed?" Dolly read out loud. Dolly's eyebrow raised slightly. She looked down to her small little sisters. "Wait…. Where did you get this?"
Dallas fidgeted with her small paws.
"It was taped to our mailbox…." Dallas answered honestly. That was when Deja Vu waved her arms in a majestic way.
"Their everywheeere!" Deja Vu was too happy to say. Dolly looked back at the paper, trying to see if it had any more information.
Destiny then stood on her hind legs, holding out a finger, and bobbing her head in a sassy way.
"And we… the deva girls are soooo gonna win!" Destiny promised them, overly confident.
Dolly had an odd feeling about this dog show, so the idea of her small, vulnerable, little sisters going to a strange dog show so young…. just didn't feel right….
Dolly felt herself sweat as she quickly thought of a way to prevent them from going. She struggled to smile as she put the flier up to her face, trying to hide her expression.
"Oooh… Oh no! It says here there's an age requirement…. And You're all too young…." Dolly lied quickly. She thought the deva girls weren't exactly mature enough to go to a dog show like this.
….. Especially if it was going to be hosted by adult dogs…..
Da Vinci leaned closer to see the piece of paper. She scanned the paper quickly trying to look for the age requirement.
"Wait…. I don't see an age restrict-"
Dolly was quick to swat Da Vinci's behind with her tail. Da Vinci jerked forward.
"AIPE!" Da Vinci yelped before turning her body to rub the sting away. Dolly slowly rolled the flier up.
"And besides…. Mom is looking for you guys, we were eating dinner ..." Dolly tilted her head with a great smile. "So…. You girls better go eat up."
The deva girls looked down, disappointed.
"Awww…. We were gonna win…." Destiny complained in a quiet whine. Deja Vu was behind her, feeling disappointed as well.
"I had so many outfits set out…." Deja Vu whined as well.
"... This stinks…" Dallas complained as she was the last one to leave the hallway to meet up with their mother.
Dolly stood there, watching their sisters leave. She gripped the flier softly, but firmly.
She waited til the deva girls were out of sight, then she looked at the flier that was rolled in her paws.
Her eyes slowly widened….
And her blush grew bright.
Dolly started to hop slightly rapidly as she was having a wonderful idea. Da Vinci was watching her become overjoyed and she tilted her head.
Dolly turned to her with a great smile.
"I….. I just have to participate in this dog show…." Dolly told Da Vinci with a shy expression of excitement. Da Vinci looked at the flier carefully that was still in her paws.
"Huh…? You want to enter…?" Da Vinci asked her carefully. She also had her doubts about this show.
Dolly seemed to become hyper as her excitement overwhelmed her. Da Vinci saw that her blush was very, very bright.
"Y-Yeah….! It could be…. Fun!" Dolly assumed as she seemed too excited about it. Da Vinci seemed confused by this. She then looked at her carefully.
"Are you sure this is a good idea….?" Da Vinci asked, feeling worried about this. "Why do you want to go so bad….?"
Dolly slowly hugged the flier. Her blush grew even more bright.
"D-Dylan…. could be…. there…. and I could …. I could….." Dolly seemed to hesitate. She almost squeaked when she got even more excited. "Oooh! I have to look my best! I have to go!
Da Vinci stepped back as Dolly started walking, trailing her thoughts.
"And Dylan ….. can ….. watch….. and I could be…. so….." Dolly started trailing off again. Da Vinci took a few steps to follow her while she was in her own thoughts.
"Dolly…?" Da Vinci called, trying to get through to her sister.
Dolly slowly turned around. Da Vinci watched her turn very shyly as she was still very deep in thought.
Dolly looked like she was both upset, and excited. Da Vinci saw this. Her expression was deep and Da Vinci could see her eyes sparkling.
She almost thought Dolly was going to cry.
"I…. never…. loved…. someone…. So-So deeply before." Dolly admitted. She hovered her paw to her lips, and she could feel herself shake. "I…. I…. I want Dylan to see me…."
Da Vinci stepped closer, she was looking at the ground, listening to Dolly carefully. She looked up slowly.
"Doesn't he…. already see you?" Da Vinci asked, confused. Dolly's face seemed to soften into further sadness.
"No…." Dolly clenched her paw as it shook with desire. "... I want him… to REAAAALLY see me….."
Dolly turned, holding her head up high, grasping onto her own chest, where her heart was.
"I want…. him to see…. the side that he… would forever forget…." Dolly expressed, almost sounding sad. She looked down, feeling longing overwhelm her.
Her voice felt shaky. She lowered her arms and grasped them slowly.
"Want him to…. claim me ….. Forever….."
Da Vinci stared, listening to her sister's passion. She could feel it. Dolly felt true love for Dylan.
Da Vinci could see it. She could feel it….
… And she believed it…..
"I see…."
Dolly fell silent, letting her feelings sit in her heart.
After a while she shifted in her position. She blinked a couple of times. She realized the way she was acting was a bit odd.
She was also worried about her parents. She shook her head, trying to get out of her head.
She stared at Da Vinci who was still there, watching her sister.
Dolly slowly smiled, coming up with a great idea. Dolly slowly stood up.
"Hey! I know!" Dolly stated, walking a bit closer to her younger sister. She grasped Da Vinci's shoulder gently. "Why don't you…. join as well!"
Da Vinci's eyes widened.
"Huh!? What? Me!?" Da Vinci asked, feeling surprised by this.
"Yeah! I'd say you're old enough…. And mature enough…." Dolly explained to her. Dolly even gave her a small wink. "And…. You are cute too, ya know…?"
This made Da Vinci slowly blush.
"I-... I don't know…." Da Vinci expressed her doubts, looking away nervously.
Dolly gave her a reassuring smile. She slowly removed her paw.
"Hey…. Just… think of it like…. You know…." Dolly twirled her paw slowly. "Yeah! Think of it like…. An art project…! Yeah!"
Da Vinci blinked a few times, giving that some thought.
"... Like… an art project….?" Da Vinci repeated slowly, actually liking the sounds of that. Dolly sat down and she gestured her paw through the air.
"Yeah! Like…. You are…. the canvas…." Dolly explained, almost mystically. Da Vinci's tail wanted to wag as she smiled slightly, still unsure.
"... I…. am…. the canvas….?" Da Vinci repeated, and when she repeated Dolly's words again, her words made her tail begin to wag.
She looked down slowly, shyly smiling.
"Is the…. dog show really going to be like that?" Da Vinci asked her slowly. Dolly's smile grew a little. She grinned heavily.
"Yeah! Totally!" Dolly answered, becoming excited about the whole idea. Da Vinci paused to think about it.
Da Vinci searched her feelings slowly, wanting to carefully think about it.
….. Then she smiled.
Da Vinci hopped once, wagging her tail hard.
"Okay! Let's do it!" Da Vinci finally agreed, happily enjoying the idea. She stepped closer with a smile. "When is it….?"
Dolly paused. She slowly unrolled the flier quickly. She looked over it quickly.
Dolly's eyes widened. She looked at Da Vinci.
"It's…. …. It's tomorrow!" Dolly informed Da Vinci quickly. The two suddenly felt a sense of urgency.
Da Vinci felt hesitant for a moment, but then she gave Dolly a confused glance, almost nervous.
They stared at one another for a brief moment, realizing they had many hopes and dreams in their heart…..
….. And then Dolly took off. Da Vinci blinked once, and took off after her. Dolly was much faster than she was.
Dolly opened the door fast, almost startling the entire family of 101 dalmations.
"Hi!" Dolly greeted with a smile, as her heart was racing. Everyone turned and saw her, practically sweating, and breathing hard.
Dolly slowly approached the end of the table where her parents was. Dylan blinked when he saw his sister, the one he was in love with, seeming odd. It worried him.
"Dolly…?" Dylan mumbled. Dawkin was the one who noticed Da Vinci just arriving, seeming to have a excited smile on her face.
"... Check this out ….!" Dolly suggested as she brought the poster towards the center of her parents.
Delilah and Doug blinked, as they eyed the page.
Soon, in a wave, all the puppies gathered around. The puppy's crawled all around Dylan causing Dylan to be pushed into the back of the group. He tried to lean his head upwards to get a better view of what they were looking at. However, he soon heard his father.
"... A dog show ….?"
It was finally night. Dylan and Dolly had put everyone to bed, because their parents went to bed early. It was by far the easiest chore.
Dylan and Dolly made their way to their only place of solitude.
Dylan's tree house.
Dylan was the first to climb up, but his mind was on what had came up recently.
"A dog show…." Dylan climbed fully inside the lonely tree house, with his lightscope, and beanbags, seeing how it was lit up by a single lamp. "... I don't know….. it's doesn't even seem to be official-"
Right then, something flew through the entrance of the treehouse. It flew into the opening of the interior of the tree house. It was rather large, and its shadow loomed over Dylan.
"-CONTEST?!" Dylan yelled out, unintelligently as he had to dash to dodged the large object.
Dylan missed it by an inch, and it crashed right into the empty space of the tree house.
When the chaos settled, Dylan blinked at the object.
It was a large blue couch.
"What's not official about it…?" Dolly asked, as she was ignoring the obvious on purpose. Dylan was flabbergasted.
"...A-A couch?! W-Where the dog did you get a freaking couch?!" Dylan questioned, in utter bewilderment. Dolly tilted her head with a smile.
"Eh. Doesn't matter…." Dolly patted it once. "It's an old couch for an old tree."
Dylan frowned, and tilted his head. He had almost forgotten how annoying his sister could be.
"But if it's old, why is it in my treehouse?!" Dylan questioned. Dolly didn't get angry with Dylan. She understood that this was his place, and she put a large old couch in his tree house…..
…. but …
"If we're staying together, I want to put my girly touch onto the place." Dolly answered honestly.
Dolly took a moment to push the couch into an empty spot in the tree house. When she put it into place, Dolly seemed to proceed to the side of the couch.
Dylan's frown seem to subside, but he still seemed confused. He tilted his head.
"But even you must agree that couch is rather old….. dirty….. used-"
Right then Dolly's expression shifted to one of annoyance, as she pulled a latch.
In a snap, the couch seemed to come to life, as the bottom kicked out, and something larger shot out.
"AIPE?!" Dylan cried as he was smashed into the wall.
Dylan did bounce however, and as he was expecting to hit the hard wood of the tree floor, he hit something rather soft.
Dylan opened his eyes in a few blinks, and saw it was a large, soft, comfortable mattress.
"...Oh!" Dylan realized in a high pitch sound. Dolly giggled as she hopped on the bed suddenly, making Dylan jump.
"Yeah! …. Oh!" Dolly cried as she began to hop on the bed, getting higher and higher with each bounce. "Come on Dylan! Jump with me!"
Dylan nervously laughed, as his nerdy side got the better end of him.
"Uh….Ehehe… No thanks…" Dylan could hear the creaks of the tree house that his dad had built for him. It might of been a very well built treehouse but it was still a tree house. "...I think both of us jumping on the bed would be a bad idea."
This didn't stop Dolly, as she was just enjoying herself."Man…! Dylan! I honestly can't wait for the dog show! I want you to see me!" Dolly exclaimed.
Dylan tilted his head.
"But I do see you-" However, as Dylan tried to sit up, the wood had shifted too. This caused the bed to tilt, from Dolly's jump.
"Woaaah!" Dolly cried as she lost her footing, and she suddenly landed on Dylan.
Dylan was stunned, but Dolly was still giggling.
"... Hahahaha! ... " Dolly and Dylan soon looked up into each other's eyes.
Dolly sat up fast, making Dylan sit up fast too.
Their hearts were racing already from the rush of the fun.
Dolly paused, she slightly looked away, rubbing her arm.
"... But, I mean… I want you to….. 'Truly' see me Dylan!" Dolly explained, and she couldn't think of any better way to tell him what she truly meant….
… but by kissing him. Dolly soon grabbed his shoulders, and planted a kiss on Dylan.
Dylan felt stunned, and he wanted to kiss back, but by the time he did try, she pulled back.
"...I want to be someone important to you." Dolly expressed her heart, as she soon leaned forward, and planted another kiss on Dylan. Dylan wasn't expecting another one that fast. She pulled back again ."...I want us to shine and leave our mark!"
Dolly kissed him three more times in a rapid succession, ever so lightly, for she loved him. Dylan saw Dolly was going for another kiss and this time Dylan kissed back finally with a smile.
Dolly soon kissed Dylan again. This time however, Dylan grabbed her back, and leaned back. Dolly soon pressed hard against his lips, trying to savor Dylan's taste. Dylan was blushing, as he had wanted to kiss her all day.
The two slowly leaned back onto the bed, with Dolly on top of him.
Dolly however, wanted more of Dylan. She tilted her head, and without realizing it, as she was so excited about everything.
Dylan felt her kiss deepen, and she slipped her tongue in his mouth. Dylan felt his excitement kick in as he closed his eyes and he decided to embrace it this time. This is their first french kiss after all.
Dolly soon began to realize this, and she opened her eyes. Dolly slowly felt her tongue return to her own mouth and she let go of him.
Dylan almost forgot to open his eyes, as he realized she stopped. He stared up at her, as she was almost practical sitting on him.
She held her lips, as she realized she could have gone too far. She turned away.
"S-Sorry…! I didn't mean too-" Dolly started to cry, but Dylan soon shot up, and reached out.
Dylan caught her paw.
"H-Hey! It's okay!" Dylan told as he tried to sooth her heart. Dolly turned to him blushing, still holding her lips. Dylan smiled at her. "...I… I want to ….."
Dylan looked down, without finding the courage to continue his words. Dolly reached out and touched Dylan's paw that was on the ground.
"... To try it again ….?" Dolly finished for Dylan. Dylan and Dolly slowly gazed into each other's eyes, feeling their hearts race with excitement. They both wanted to be even closer. They did not feel the hate of being together.
Only the guilt…
… However, their love was stronger than that guilt.
Dylan nodded, feeling nervous. Dolly looked so beautiful to Dylan. How did he ever get so lucky?
Dolly didn't move at first. Dylan looked so handsome, and brave now, especially with that bruise on his head. Dylan almost scared her, and it excited her. How did she ever get so lucky?
Dolly slowly touched his shoulders.
Dylan slowly touched her hips.
They both leaned forward, and Dolly fell into his embrace.
Their lips locked, and Dylan made the first kiss.
Dylan slipped into his deep kiss with passion, wanting to show how much Dylan loved her.
Dolly followed him in his passion as their kiss deepened.
They only paused when the moon lit upon their faces.
It was a beautiful, prosperous night.
