"Well that wasn't what I was expecting." Peter said as they looked at each other.
"Me neither but Peter. I think we should at least go on an actual date." Cindy replied.
"I agree we could see a movie and afterward we could get some ice cream if you like?" Peter asked as he got a text from Aunt May.
"Hey aunt, May what's up?" Peter asked.
"Peter, can you meet me at the Hospital?" Aunt May asked.
"Sure I'm on my way." Peter replied as he touched the pendant on his necklace and his suit formed around him.
"I have to go."Spider-man said as he jumped out of the window and he swung to the Hospital, and he went to her room as he saw her doctor.
"Aunt May, what's wrong?" Peter asked as he noticed a look of trepidation in her eyes.
"Peter, sit down." Aunt May said as Peter sat next to her.
I'll give you both some privacy." Doctor Lee said as he walked out of the room and he closed the door.
"Peter, I have cancer, it's terminal." Aunt May said with trepidation and grief in her voice.
"God May, how long did they say you have?" Peter asked.
"They're not sure it could take months or weeks or even days." Aunt May replied.
"Aunt May, there is something you should know about uncle Ben's killer. He was caught by Spider-man and he's been arrested." Peter said.
"Good I'm glad that awful man is going to prison. I'm happy that Spider-man was there. I hope he stays. New York needs hero's like him." Aunt May said as Peter's phone went off and he looked at it and he saw that it was a missed call from Dewolff.
"Aunt May I have to go." Peter said as he left the Hospital and he walked to the precinct and he saw Dewolff talking to her partner.
"Peter, this is my partner Stanley Carter." Jean Dewolff.
"Who's this Dewolff? I never expected you to have friends." Stanley Carter said sarcastically with a smile.
"Ha Ha Carter I'm suppressed you can't back any of that talk up at the range." Captain Dewolff replied with a smile as the rest of the cops laughed while they saw a 13-year-old kid sitting In a interrogation room.
"Who's the kid?" Peter asked.
"His name is Miles Morales and his parents were killed in a robbery gone wrong." Jean Dewolff replied as Peter remembered uncle Ben's murder.
"Does he have any family?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, Aaron Davis but he's in prison for robbery." Jean Dewolff replied.
"What's going to happen to him?" Peter asked.
"Well we're going to put him in child protective services." Jean Dewolff replied.
"Do you mind if I talk with him?" Peter asked.
"Sure, ask him if he's seen anything." Jean Dewolff replied as they walked into the interrogation room and she turned off the camera.
"Hi Miles, my name is Peter Parker. I know you probably don't want to talk. I know I didn't when my uncle Ben was killed. I want you to know that you're not alone. I know what you're going through." Peter said as Miles looked at him.
"You do?" Miles asked as he looked at Peter.
"Yeah, you're a Spider-man fan?" Peter asked as he noticed a spiderman pin on his sweater.
"Yeah despite what Jameson says the webhead is a hero." Miles replied.
"I used to take pictures of spiderman." Peter said.
"Cool, so you know who is right? Miles asked.
"I do but unfortunately I can't tell you." Peter replied.
"Oh." Miles replied.
"Miles, I hate to ask this but did you hear or see anything that could help us find the person or persons that killed your parents?" Jean Dewolff asked.
"I didn't see much but I did hear one of them call each other Ox. They were looking for my uncle and when they found out that he wasn't there they killed my parents." Miles replied as a tear fell down his face.
"Thank you, Miles, that was very brave." Jean Dewolff replied as they heard a knock at the door.
"Dewolff child protective services are here." Detective Carter said.
"Come on Miles." Captain Dewolff said as they left the room while Peter left the building and pressed the pendant on his necklace, as his suit formed around him.
Chapter 7 Enforcement
Spider-man swung onto a building as he got a call from Dewolff.
"Hey, Jean, how's Miles?" Spider-man asked.
"He's asleep at the orphanage. Jean Dewolff said."
"Good, do you know anything about the Ox?" Spider-man asked.
"He's a part of a crew called the Enforcers who worked for Wilson Fisk." Captain Dewolff replied.
"Wilson Fisk, whatever happened to him?" Spiderman asked.
"Fisk was in charge of all the crime families in Hell's kitchen; he also manipulated the FBI. Daredevil was able to arrest him." Captain Dewolff replied.
"I guess it's a good thing he's still in prison. anyway I'm working on a lead that could help keep him in prison." Spider-man replied as he hacked into a thug's phone as he walked into the bar with no name.
"Hey Deke you hear that the big man is getting all of the fat man's territory." Speed demon said.
"Really? I thought Foswell was dead." Deke replied.
"Yeah well it seems like he's been lying low." Speed demon replied.
Spider-man hacked into a member of hammerheads men's phone.
"Hey sonny you heard about what happened to Hernan?" The thug asked.
"Yeah the Spider's getting out of control but I'd take him over Castle or the devil of hell's kitchen." Sunny replied.
Spider-man sighed in frustration as he hacked into another thug's phone.
"Hey Gargan, have you heard anything from Montana?" The Thug asked.
"Yeah, he and the rest of the enforcers are setting up a weapons deal with the Russians at Red Hook Terminal. Gargan replied.
Spider-man swung to the pier as he sent the information to Dewolff and he jumped onto a container as the Bratva stopped at the pier but before they could make the deal the cops drove to the pier and they started shooting.
Spider-man shot a web at a Bratva member's chest and he did a right cross to his jaw that knocked him out. Spider-man's spider-sense went off as Ox tried to tackle him but he jumped out of the way as he fired web darts into his head that caused him to pass out.
"And they said only Rhino's like the color red." Spiderman said sarcastically.
"Die bug!" Montana said as he cracked his whip but Spider-man caught it and he snapped it in half then fired an impact web at him that strapped him to a crate. Fancy Dan did a heel kick as Spider-man's spider-sense went off, and he did a backflip followed up with firing impact webbing at him. Fancy Dan sidestepped him and he countered with a jumping spinning kick to his chest that caused Spider-man to fall into a crate that's followed up with roundhouse kick to has that's followed up with a backflip kick to his jaw that temporarily knocked him out.
Fancy Dan took out a tactical Gerber knife but before he could stab Spider-man he opened his eyes and he fired some webs into his eyes, and he followed up with a jab to his nose that knocked him out. Captain Dewolff picked fancy Dan up as her partners arrested them along with the Bratva.
"You ok?" Captain Dewolff asked.
"I'm alright the only thing that's hurt is my pride." Spider-man replied as he went to his loft he pressed the spider on his suit and went into his necklace as he turned around and he saw Ezekiel sitting on a chair with a cup of water.
"What are you doing here?" Peter asked.
"I had my people watch your fight with the enforcers. You rely too much on your spider-sense and gear." Ezekiel replied.
"My spider-sense gives me the edge in a fight along with my web-shooters." Peter said as Ezekiel leaned forward in the chair and finished the glass.
"Peter, your web-shooters along with your spider-sense are just tools In your arsenal and if you rely on them too much then they are a crutch. Luckily for you I know a person that can help you." Ezekiel said.
"Who?" Peter asked.
"Meet me at WebCore tomorrow and don't worry about the city. I asked Cindy along with Jessica to watch over it. Oh, here." Ezekiel said as he threw a set of keys at Peter and he caught it.
