At this point it seems better to assume that the release schedule for this stuff is Wednesday and Saturday (yay for timing).

Return of the notes!

Number 1: I have realised that maybe I have been leaving a little too much to the readers imagination so there's gonna be a lot more detailing of characters and environments (beginning now).

Number 2: Zoh is going to be a bit of an arsehole for a while but I imagine I'll put an end to it soon enough.

THIS CHAPTER HAS BEEN UPDATED RETROACTIVELY

Chapter 6: Starting over

Zoh's POV:

"What do you mean you 'charmed' me?"

"I… I used magic to make you do what I wanted you to do. My original plan was to kill you for your life essence last night... I'm so sorry…"

"Oh is that so?! This entire time all I've been was an idiot for your entertainment and, what, a fucking snack?"

"Zoh…"

"Quiet!" I declared as my vision became hazy at the edges. The only thing in focus was my target.

The room became flooded in darkness so thick you could not see your nose between your eyes. I drew my axe and took a step back. The frantic yelling and clattering all around me was dulled to nothing as I paused a moment to enjoy it.

With one great leap, I launched myself into the air, axe high above my head. All my fury went into a battle roar so booming it could be heard throughout the building.

I brought my axe to bear as the wind rushed past me on my descent, closing my eyes in satisfaction with my vengeance. With a great clang and the sound of rock being disintegrated, my eyes shot open. The room around me had changed. I was in some sort of mess hall, similar in design to the room we had entered the building through.

When I looked down, I'd smashed through a thick stone table and made a small crater in the floor underneath it.

Turning to my side in found a small man with golden hair and clothing akin to what cowboys would wear pointing a magical blue bow at my head.

"Put the axe down or I'll blow your head off!" He shouted in a voice laced with determination.

"Do you really believe you'll be able to fire that before I take your head?"

We stared each other down for a few moments before eventually I spoke up once more: "Now point me to the lobby of this place before I destroy more than just that table."

The man made no movements but a woman sat behind him in the same purple robes as so many other people I had seen in that place pointed me to a door.

"You just saved this boy's life." Were my parting words as I walked towards the exit.

Soon enough I was back in the lobby. On the left I found myself only metres away from the door to the chamber where I expected to find Ahri. I took slow, deliberate steps on my way to it. When I got there, a kick gained me access.

Upon entering the room I was greeted by the sight of Ahri standing in the centre with the Summoners still sitting upon the high thrones. They all noticed I had entered at the same time and just as I was about to run at Ahri to finish what I had started I was once again disrupted, this time by a magical prison that surrounded me on all sides.

"You cannot prevent this! I'll turn this building to dust and spit on the remains if I have to!" I declared while smashing my fists against the prison.

"We cannot allow you to harm a fellow champion outside of League-sanctioned matches. As such, we have organised for neither of you to be physically capable of doing each other any damage." The female Summoner announced above the noise of my axe crashing against the magical barrier.

"Zoh please calm down! Don't you think this is an overreaction?" Ahri pleaded, but it fell on deaf ears.

"I've been betrayed like this before and I made the mistake of letting those involved live!" I threatened as I continued to attack the barrier walls.

"Silence! The scene that has occurred here today has made it clear to the High Council that you two cannot function as co-workers in your current state. To solve this, we have come to the decision that you two shall be placed within the same living quarters until such time that you have resolved these differences. Once again I shall remind you, neither of you can do damage to the other and we WILL know if you make any such attempt." The middle Summoner declared.

The magical prison faded but before I could put Ahri's invulnerability to the test I was restrained by two people. Looking back, I saw the woman in golden armour holding my right arm and a man in purple clothes and a hood concealing his glowing blue eyes holding my left.

"Come now, we shall show you to your room." The woman proclaimed.

An hour later (18:40):

Ahri's POV:

There was no denying that I was terrified as I stared at the door. Inside was quite possibly the most dangerous man on the planet, and I had seriously pissed him off. All I had for protection was a hastily casted immunity spell. I would have had more, but I told that 'Jax' guy I wouldn't need his help.

That felt ever more like a mistake as I gripped the door-handle and slid it open. I was immediately surprised by how homely it felt, considering how overbearing and gaudy the rest of the building was. A rectangular shape, the walls were stone and decorated by numerous works of art, coats-of-arms, shelves full of books, and candles lit by bright, orange flames. Wooden pillars were in each corner, almost certainly for aesthetics and not structural integrity. The floor was covered by a white carpet with red streaks and swirls breaking up the monotony. Above me, the ceiling was high and slanted downwards from the door outward. It was pretty much entirely made of glass, providing a view of the sky and plenty of light. In the centre of the room was a short, wooden coffee table, surrounded by maroon sofas and recliners. The only other noteworthy features of the room were the three doors on the wall opposite me and the two to my sides, one to each side.

My only real complaints about the room were the slightly overpowering smell of roses and the constant scraping sound of metal on stone. It was coming from the right-most door on the wall opposite me.

I approached it carefully and, already knowing what it was, pushed it open.

Sat on a bed, Zoh was sharpening his axe and, thankfully, out of his armour. He didn't even glance at me as I stood at the door, too scared to approach. After a few seconds of not even daring to breathe, I took a short step back when he stared up at me.

"Do you want to know why I've decided to not kill you?"

"Do I?"

"I would think so. To put it simply, life is more interesting with people like you around. We're going to leave it at that because, well, any more explanation would ruin the fun."

"So now what? We just sit around doing nothing until told otherwise?"

"Of course not. If we're going to be living together, we better get to know each other. I expect the truth this time around."

I looked to the ground, knowing that he would find the truth somehow, and answered sadly: "I guess I don't have many other options... Go ahead."

"First and foremost, why did you continue to charm me when you clearly knew that it was wrong?"

"I… I only decided not to do it last night. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to hate me…"

"What difference did it make, you revealed it when I was still in the room anyway?"

"I thought if you saw me willing to take the consequences you would respect me a little bit."

He stared off the side, clearly thinking on it. I knew another question would come soon, so I sat down and leaned on the doorframe.

When his concentration returned to me, he asked: "How did you kill those people?"

"I lured them to somewhere hidden then…" I trailed off while bringing out my Orb.

Zoh seemed slightly taken aback by this for a moment before he got up and walked over to me. He stopped a few feet away and kneeled down, glaring at my Orb inquisitively. His eyes followed the swirls of magic as they weaved through the ball of energy.

"What makes this essence stuff important enough for you to kill people for it?" He questioned while still observing every movement in my Orb.

"It's what made me human in the first place. I thought that, maybe, if I got enough of it I could become fully human instead of having these." I stated, pointing at my fox features.

"That's all I want to know for the moment. Now get out of my room."

The Orb disappeared as I tried to explain: "We are going to have to solve these issues at some point, why not now? I still want to be your friend, after all."

"And you don't think I want to be yours? While I'm sure some, if not most of it, was fake, you still had an interesting personality on the journey here. I just can't trust you, and we'll never get beyond this point unless you prove to me that I can."

"Every second I can spare is going to be spent giving you every example I can that I've changed until we're as good friends as we were a few hours ago. If I can, better." I insisted as I stood and left the room.

I didn't really have much to do, so I went to the door to my right, in the centre of the wall, and entered a small room. The room was pretty much the same as the main room, except much smaller. The only things inside were a sofa and a thing pedestal in front of it with a blue, glowing obelisk on top. Approaching the obelisk curiously, I reached out to it. It jumped, literally, into life, firing light at a wall opposite the sofa. A constantly-changing image appeared on the wall, showing a few people fighting in a path through a forest area. They were all murdering each other in various ways, using everything from a pike to a flaming bear. Five portraits of various people and creatures, some of which I was watching kill each other, lined the sides of the video. Two guys were narrating the action as it happened.

"This must be one of the matches I've heard so much about."

It looked quite interesting, so I collapsed onto the sofa and watched.

"At least it's something to do."

The game went on for a really long time, the timer reaching almost two hours before one team finally managed to make a cheeky play involving a teleport and win. At that point, I was barely keeping my weary eyes open. That had to have been the longest day of my life.

The obelisk's light dulled as I shoved myself off the sofa and stumbled over to the door. Thankfully, I didn't properly close it when I came in, so it was easy for me to slip my hand through the gap and tug it open.

After stepping over to the door to what I correctly assumed was my room, I shoved at it for a few moments before remembering that door handles existed.

As I shuffled over to my bed, I noticed that my room was pretty much a mirror-image of Zoh's. I didn't take in any details, as I was barely conscious at that point.

While laying on my side, somehow struggling to fall asleep, I noticed something outside the window. Getting out of bed and stepping over to the window while rubbing my eyes, I did a double and then a triple take before I realised that glowing, almost flaming red eyes were staring at me from the roof of one of the wings of the building.

"I must be seeing things." I thought aloud.

"Your vision does not betray you."

Jumping out of bed I once again saw the red eyes, and the man around them. In the low light I recognised that he was wearing a helmet which concealed all of his face. It had holes for eyes and a pointed mouth-grill. Every part of his body was encased in metal, save for the joins and his upper legs. None of the armour pieces on his body were sheet-metal. Instead, every piece was made up of various lengths of shaped metal that fitted together. His back held two large shurikens and on each forearm was a set of retractable blades, the mechanism of which had additional, smaller blades coming out of its sides. While the main blades were similar in general design to those of swords, the side-blades were shaped like axe-heads. Various pieces of red cloth covered parts of his body, such as the one covering the back and sides of his neck, leading up to his head, or the one covering the upper-most part of his right leg.

"Why are you in my room?!" I shouted, hoping to intrigue Zoh enough for him to come and help.

"I am here because I choose to be here." The man declared, his deep, gravelly voice sounding like it was coming from everywhere in the room at once.

"Can you stop choosing to be here?"

"Not until you fear me just as all others do."

"Some spooky armour and a few campfire horror stories aren't going to make me fear you."

He growled and disappeared in an instant. I heard him behind me before feeling two sharp things poking my back.

"In an instant I could end you. In two, I could take you to a hidden place and torture you until there is nothing left to feel the pain. Scared?"

"If I say yes will you leave?"

I felt the blade retract from my back. I turned to see him once again gone before I heard from the newly-opened window.

"My name is Zed, and it is only a matter of time."

Zed jumped out of the window but I heard nothing hit the ground below.

"That was… cryptic." I pondered over the subject for a few seconds before deciding I'd prefer to just sleep than think about it.

A few seconds passed before Zoh shouted from his room: "He is quite the interesting one."

"Yeah. Would've been nice to have someone around to help me confront him though."

"Probably."

Zoh's POV:

It was really difficult to decide whether or not that day had been good or bad. Sure, I'd reached the League and become a champion, but I'd also gone from one friend back to zero.

Thinking about it further, I eventually started trying to work out how I had been so easily charmed by magic. Surely such a thing would only work on someone already romantically interested in the caster, especially considering that Ahri was not exactly overflowing with experience in the ability. There was no chance that was the case. I was better than to have such thoughts about someone without something dodgy going on.

I hoped was better than that.

Not really wanting to think about it anymore, I decided to think up a plan to avoid getting the same trick pulled on me again. I wasn't magically attuned in any way, but I was pretty sure all magic was somewhat visible. It was mostly just a guess, but it seemed likely.

So how would she have charmed me without me seeing it? I'd have to be incredibly distracted and the ability concealed for me to fail to notice it to some extent.

But what if it was something that was transferred by physical contact? Like a magical disease…

I dozed off slowly, still straining to work it out. Just as I was about to slip away into sleep, it hit me. A triumphant smile graced my face and I shot up to a sitting position in bed.

"It was the kiss! That's when it started!" I quietly exclaimed to myself.

"All I have to do is not let her kiss me! Then she won't have a chance to pull anything even if she does still want to!"

I settled down into bed with a satisfied feeling and a content look on my face.

"I'm a fuckin' genius."

The next day (07:00):

I was having a lovely sleep when I was so rudely awakened by someone hitting me in the face. As in, I was being smacked time and time again until I couldn't ignore it anymore and had to open my eyes. Kayle, the blonde-haired lady from the day before was standing next to my bed and shouting: "Wake up! You have your judgement coming up in thirty minutes!"

"I wasn't told of this!" I declared while batting away her hands, which were still attempting to hit me.

"You're being told now!"

"Where do I have to go?"

"You don't have to go anywhere. Just be ready in thirty minutes and you will be teleported to where you need to be."

"That's helpful… so, do you want to leave now?"

"I see no reason I should. What if you aren't motivated enough to get ready in time?"

"That was the polite way of saying it, but let me re-phrase. Piss off."

"Fine. You'll have no-one but yourself to blame if you miss the judgement and get a disciplinary."

She strode out of the room as I hopped out of bed. It took a few minutes for me to get ready and into my armour, but when I was, I found I was early.

"I got twenty minutes to kill and nothing to do."

"Meditation is always good way to use spare time productively."

Turning around I saw that it was the same blue ninja that I had met back in Ionia.

"Apparently privacy wasn't something the people of this planet ever bothered to develop."

"Most who call Runeterra home have. You just happen to be in the largest concentration on the planet of those who don't. Now, would you like to join me in meditation?"

"Uh, sure. Not like I was doing a whole lot anyway."

"Wonderful."

He sat down on the carpet and crossed his legs. I copied his position as he put his hand on his knees and closed his eyes. It proved quite uncomfortable being in that position in my hulking armour, so I got up and removed it before returning to the position.

The second I got comfortable he asked: "So tell me, how long did it take you to realise that your travelling companion was manipulating your emotions?"

"You knew, didn't you?"

"I guessed."

"Why didn't you tell me then? We could've avoided a lot of problems."

"I was not sure. If I had been, you would have been told on the spot. Also, when I brought it up to my colleague, Akali, she concluded that it sounded rather similar to young love and said that, if I were to interfere, I would be stabbed."

"Aren't you ninja's supposed to not care about emotions like love?"

"I don't, but I do very much care about getting stabbed."

"Fair enough."

After a few minutes of essentially just sitting there with my thoughts, I came up a question that I needed answered.

"Hey, uh, Shen, right?"

"That is indeed my name."

"What is up with that angel-looking lady? Kayle."

"She is one of the older champions and often takes it upon herself to make certain that the new people know exactly what to do and when to do it. She is a fundamentally good person, however a number of frustrating new additions to the League have taken their toll on her patience."

"I suppose it's good to know that I'm not the only person she seems to dislike."

"You should know, she considers you one of the most irritating we've had in a long while."

"How can I, out of all the things here, be among the worst?"

"You attempted to kill someone literally in front of the High Council. Not even the most bloodthirsty psychopaths, the most hideous Void creatures, not even Teemo, has attempted that before. It showed that you were either mentally unstable to an extremely dangerous degree, or an idiot beyond compare."

"I'm a bit of both actually…"

We continued meditating for a few minutes more minutes before he spoke again: "There is one more thing."

"What?"

"Goodbye."

I opened my eyes and stared at him, slightly confused, as a series of blue rings appeared from the floor under me and floated up, surrounding my body in brilliant blue light. The sound of them slamming together as they shrunk out of existence above my head was cut off by my sudden appearance in a hallway. The ceiling was high above me and the walls were at least ten metres apart. A single, thin grey length of carpet lead from where I had appeared to a small, plain wooden door at the other end of the hallway.

Getting up to my feet, I summoned my armour and checked myself over for a final time before beginning on my way to the door. It only took a few seconds to get there, not giving me much time think back to the various trials I had gone through before. I wondered if this one would be the fighting kind or the puzzle kind.

I didn't want to keep the people waiting, so I shoved open the door by the handle. It was dark inside. Really dark.

"Hello? Anyone there?"

I heard nothing in return and began wading slowly into the darkness. I blinked for a split second and found myself in a laboratory, with all the equipment seemingly focused on creating a blue gas that multiple vials were filled with. Worryingly, my armour had disappeared.

Even worse, I started to realise where I was.

"Oh, no… not here… how did they bring me back to here?! I can't do it again!" I asked desperately to no-one. Searching the lab for an exit, I spotted a door. Just as I was about to go for it, a man in a lab coat pushed it open enough to pop his head through the gap.

"Sir, the demonstration starts in a minute. The officials have demanded that you be the one to demonstrate it."

My mind shouted 'no' and I willed myself to not follow him as he left but my body disagreed. I heard myself reply an "Okay" to the man and soon I was walking down the pearly-white halls next to him. After a short journey we reached another door which led to an exhibition hall. Military officials and politicians stood at the opposite end of it in the provided seats. On the side where we entered was a huge stage with a large glass container in the middle. Inside were well over fifty 'enemies of the state'.

I gave a short speech to the viewers about the future of chemical weapons. Once that was over I walked to the container and inserted a test tube of the blue gas into a dispersal system. I took a step back and prepared to watch the gas do its work. What was supposed to be a painless and quick knockout went more horribly wrong than I could even conceive. Immediately upon inhaling the gas, the people inside the container entered a state of pain beyond description. Within moments, huge black boils were appearing on the test subjects' skin. They burst almost instantly, releasing torrents of vile liquid, the very same liquid that was leaking out of their every orifice. As their screams filled the air, all the water in their bodies leaked out until all that was left were a bunch of dry husks.

Finally, my head and my body synced up, and I dropped to my knees. The utterly shocked expression on my face was about to give way to all-out weeping when one of the husks in the container stood up. It walked to the edge and then stepped through as if the glass was not even there.

"Why do you want to join the league of legends?"

"Because I've got nowhere left to run. All that's left is to make a stand."

"How does it feel exposing your mind?"

"I have nothing left to hide… and that scares me."

The lights in the room shut off, shrouding everything in perfect darkness. A short distance from me, a door opened. Beyond it, I could see the halls of the League. Without even a moment of hesitation, I ran out of the room and shut the door as quickly as I could. Physically and mentally exhausted, I slumped against a wall and slid down until I was sitting against it.

It took me a few moments to realise that I was hyperventilating and breaking out in a sweat. I ripped my helmet off and threw it aside to get some air. I wiped my brow and rested my head back.

After a few minutes I was as close to normal as I was going to get, so I picked up my helmet and got up. I was at one end of a hallway which held nothing but the door I had come in from. It connected to another one at the other end and, as I didn't really have any other options, I headed for it.

As I neared it, I heard a whistling coming from the right. It was getting louder and, when I stepped far enough into the hall to see down it, I recognised the creature it was coming from. He looked the same as he did in my dreams. Ancient-looking armour covered his body, similar in colour to the complete, empty darkness that made up the spectre. His head was all but featureless, with the exception of his bright white eyes and facial markings. He had two huge blades sticking out of his skinny arms, which were waving around behind him harmlessly. The area where his legs should have been was empty apart from a trail of shadows. As far as nightmare creatures went, this 'Nocturne' thing seemed to be one of the more dangerous ones.

I didn't really know how to react in that situation. Did I run? Did I hide?

When he caught sight of me and spoke, I realised it was neither: "Are you lost or something? I would be happy to help."

"What? Aren't you gonna… I don't know, kill me or something?"

"Why would I- OH! Now I remember you! I visited your dreams a few times, didn't I? Well, just so you know, that's not really who I am right now."

"So I should take it you've turned over a new leaf and become a better person since last night?"

"Precisely. Come on, walk with me."

He floated past me and I, being thoroughly lost, decided it couldn't hurt too much to follow him.

"If you don't mind my asking, why have you decided to change so drastically?"

"There's… this girl I like."

I stared at him with my brow furrowed in distrust.

"How the hell did you get a woman to date you?"

"Ignoring the insult in the question, I haven't yet. I like her, but I don't know if she likes me back."

"Who is it?"

"Morgana. She's Kayle's sister. Although, they're not really alike at all."

"Well, I'm not exactly the leading authority on the subject of relationships, but I'd suggest you go ask her out as soon as possible. There's no use waiting until someone else comes along and you lose any chance."

"But what if she doesn't like me?"

"Then that's too bad. Someone else will catch your eye eventually. And hey, if anyone is dumb enough to laugh at you getting rejected, you're a damn nightmare monster! You can drive them to insanity in a week!"

He turned his head to me and his eyes were lit up in what I assumed was a smile.

"Okay then. I'm gonna do it."

We took a few steps in silence before he looked over to me again and asked: "So… care to explain what happened yesterday?"

"It's… a long story."

"That's helpful because I've just realised we're going the wrong way. So, you know, we've got plenty of time."

We did a one-eighty and headed back the way we came as I began to give him the full run-down of everything that had happened between me and Ahri. One of the positive effects of the largely bare surroundings was that nothing was around to distract me. We very occasionally walked past a Summoner going about their business or another Champion, most of whom were looking as lost as we were.

For a place that looked so simple in overall design from the outside, that place sure did a great job of being a maze, even though it doubted that was the intention.

We were about to move into an under-construction area, noticeably void of any construction workers, when I finished detailing the story. Nocturne pondered it for a few seconds before stating:

"To me it seems like you over-reacted to what she did."

"Were you not listening to me? She tricked me into being her friend with the intention of killing me!"

"Yes, she did that. Likely because it was instinct to her when she was created. How do you honestly think you would react if you were suddenly an entirely different species with a different moral code? Add to that the fact that you suddenly have this insatiable desire to do something that you don't know is wrong yet."

"Am I being lectured about killing people by the creature that did it for shits and giggled for fuck-knows how long?"

"Yes. I might be a being of pure darkness, but I still have common sense."

"Well I suppose it's a good thing I didn't kill her then, even when I had the chance."

"You realise there's still a Summoner somewhere casting the immortality spell on her?"

"Please, I once launched a planet into its star because I didn't have enough milk for my cereal that day. I think I can deal with a piddly-little immortality spell."

"You… seriously? Wow, okay, remind me not to piss you off. Back on topic, I still think you should make up with her as best you can."

"I can't. What if I become friends with her again and she uses her magic to make me go further than I want to?"

"… You realise that you can't actually use magic against other Champions on League grounds… she couldn't charm you if she tried and I very much doubt she'd attempt it after how brilliantly it worked out the first time around."

"Why does no-one tell me these things?!"

"Considering how you scared the shit out of that Summoner to the point where we had to send him back to therapy, destroyed a table within a few minutes of walking through the door, almost killed a Champion and threatened to kill another, they didn't want to risk sending anyone to explain them to you."

"Yeah maybe I owe some people apologies… and money for the table… And floor, I destroyed a bit of that too."

"Don't worry about it man, they make such an absurd amount of money around here it's not even a drop in the ocean." He explained as we rounded a corner into the lobby area.

"Here we are. It was nice talking to you Zoh."

"It was nice talking to you too. Remember to come and tell me how it goes with Morgana."

"Will do. Keep what I said about Ahri in mind. I think she may be one of the many people you need to apologise properly to."

"I'll think about it. Goodbye Nocturne."

"Cya."

I smiled as I waved and went further into the lobby. I sighed deeply as I remembered what Shen had told me. At that point, two completely different people had both concluded that I had fucked up. Thinking about it a bit further, I found it hard to still convince myself that they were entirely wrong.

Even if it did not include Ahri, apologies would have to be given to a few people. I spotted one of them sitting at the across the room from me and, sucking up my pride, I went over and tapped on her golden helmet. Kayle stood and turned to face me, shooting me a glare from behind her helmet.

"What do you want?"

"I came here to apologise for causing that mess yesterday. I didn't mean to make your life difficult at all, I was just a little bit pissed off, to put it lightly."

"You sound genuine enough, so I accept your apology. Hopefully we can put this behind us." She affirmed while holding out her hand. I shook it and smiled.

"Now if you will excuse me I have some more apologies to make."

"Ezreal is over at the other side of the hall and Ahri is in your room."

"Hey, I never said I was apologising to Ahri as well."

"Well you're a bit of a twat then."

I backed away while glaring at her before spinning around and scanning the room for Ezreal. He was sat on a sofa at the other end of the hall next to a blonde woman holding a staff.

From the stare he gave me as I approached, I knew it wasn't going to go as well as the previous one had.

"What do you want, creep?"

He'd said all of five words and I already had the incredible urge to punch him in his smarmy little face.

"I came here to apologise for my actions yesterday. I'm sorry that I threatened you."

"What about my dinner?"

I shrugged.

"If you aren't going to apologise about everything you ruined then what's the fucking point of attempting at all?"

It would be so easy to punch him. One good swing would knock the little shit out for a few hours.

But no, I had to restrain myself.

"I'm sorry about your dinner. I'm not sure what I did to it, but sorry."

"That was a shit apology but I accept. Now get out of here you cretin."

I sighed and looked over to the blonde woman before whispering: "Quite the charming one, isn't he?"

We both shared a laugh much to his displeasure.

"What's so funny? What did you say?"

"Oh, just some adult stuff. You wouldn't understand."

I hastily left as he stirred up a shit-storm over her comment. It was pretty funny.

After a pretty uneventful walk back and a short search for the room number, I rubbed my face and sighed. I may have gone a bit over the top. Slightly. For that, I would have to make amends of some sort.

When I pushed open the door, I found that she was not in the living room. Considering that I hadn't been bothered to find out what the side rooms were yet, I guessed that neither had she. The only option that sounded reasonable was the observation room, so I headed over to it. The door was slightly ajar, so I peeked my head through. She wasn't in there either.

"Must be in her room. A bit odd, considering there's nothing of interest in there." I thought to myself as I backed away from the observation room and went over to her door. Pushing it open, I was greeted by the sight of Ahri being held in the air by her throat. The man holding her was decked-out in metal armour with giant blades on his arms.

He didn't even need to look back at me to know I was there.

"Take a step further and I kill her."

"I'm not sure if that is going to work buddy, considering that everybody here is invulnerable."

"All except this thing. The Summoner assigned to her is likely already in the emergency room. One of my shadows made certain of it."

"I'm pretty sure that you only have the one shadow. Hey look, it's right there." I taunted as I pointed to the shadow on the ground below him.

"Do you not know who I am?" The rage in his voice quickly becoming apparent.

"No, but if I had to describe you the word 'cunt' comes to mind."

He growled at my statement and pulled his arm back, the blades shooting forward to the ready. He got within a few inches of severing Ahri's head before being stopped by the intervention of a sword.

"Well that's helpful." I chuckled heartily as Shen somehow managed to release Ahri from the red-eyed man's grip and throw her across the room to me. She landed in my arms and I didn't really know what to do in that situation.

"So… how are you?"

"Is this really the time to make small-talk? Shouldn't we help or something?"

I observed the battle for a few seconds and saw that, despite the red-eyed man doing some magic tricks with shadows, Shen was still holding his own easily.

"Nah, Shen seems to have it in hand. Anyway, I was actually on my way here to apologise. Talking with the blue guy over there and a nightmare creature I met a while ago has kind of made me realise that I might have gone a bit over the top. So, uh, sorry for trying to kill you… and stuff."

I put her down and waited with baited breath as Ahri thought about it, the fight still going on in the background.

"I will accept your apology on one condition."

"I'm not going to like this..."

"You have to help me whenever I ask no matter what it is and you will never threaten me outside of the league games." As I listened to her demands my mind began to think up endless amounts of things I would have to 'help' her with.

"Isn't that two conditions?"

"Shut up."

"Okay. Whatever you ask, whenever you ask and I won't threaten you. But we're going to discuss conditions at some point. I don't want to be building any fifty foot golden statues or inventing a new flavour of ice cream cause you got bored with the current ones."

"Fair enough, apology accepted. First thing I want you to help with is the fight over there."

While I made my way towards the fighting ninjas I mumbled under my breath.

"I can already tell this was a bad idea."

"What was that?" Ahri questioned from behind me.

I turned around and lied: "Nothing."

She didn't seem too convinced but I didn't need her to be, so I switched my attention back to the fight. My presence didn't seem to register to either of them, so I just grabbed the red-eyed one while his back was turned and hurled him out of the open window. We were on the third floor, so I suspected that he wouldn't be a problem for a while unless he found a way out. My thoughts were confirmed when I heard a thumping noise and a groan. Stepping over to the window, I peeked out and saw him down there, splayed on the pavement next to a bush trimmed to the shape of a crab.

He wasn't getting up any time soon, so I pulled my head back and closed the window.

"I thank you for the assistance, but I already had him on the metaphorical ropes when you intervened."

"Yeah, well, I took him off of the ropes and threw him out the window."

"Right, well, I sense a spot of tension, so I shall be on my way. Actually, it might just be gas…"

He looked between me and Ahri, who was still standing by the doorway.

"Both. Definitely both."

He promptly teleported away, bringing the room's population down to two.

We both approached each other and met in the middle. I was the first to ask: "You didn't seem particularly worried about him threatening your life. Do you know something I don't?"

"Oh, he visited me earlier to get the name of the Summoner keeping me invulnerable. After a bit of 'interrogation' I 'broke' and told him some random name." Ahri explained as she took a seat on the side of the bed.

"That's just one of many things that I know and you do not."

"Oh really now? Go on, ask me something. I bet I get it right." I asserted, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Is that so? What day is it today?"

"Oh that's easy it's… uh… Monday?"

"Zoh it's Thursday."

"How was I supposed to know shit like that when nobody tell me anything?!" I retorted angrily, having already lost that contest.

Ahri closed her eyes and gave me the second question: "Okay how about this: what colour are my eyes?"

"… Brown?"

She opened her eyes while I mentally and physically face-palmed.

"How have you never noticed before?" Ahri demanded as I began to try and think up an excuse.

"I'm pretty sure I did notice at some point but I didn't commit it to memory. If it helps, I think they're lovely."

"My guess is you were too focused staring at my breasts to notice."

"What? No! I never do such a thing. How could you think I would possibly be so rude?"

"Zoh you are doing it right now."

I shifted my gaze up to her face and replied sternly: "Totally am not."

"It has taken me about a minute to prove that not only do you not know some very important things, but you also stare at my boobs just the same as any other guy."

"It's unfair though. You have been on this planet longer than me. Admittedly, most of it has been as a fox but that is beside the point."

"That makes it sound even weirder when I say that you are constantly looking at my breasts."

"I'm not constantly looking at your chest!"

"Oh really? Where are you staring right now?"

I stared back up at her eyes before declaring: "Nowhere in particular."

I tried my best to meet her gaze, but still noticed myself take a momentary glance down at her assets.

"I am really not making this easy for myself. Can I put my helmet on?"

"No, I am finding this too funny. In fact I think you should take all your armour off."

"Hell no that will only make it worse."

"Well then I guess I don't accept your apology…" Ahri trailed off at the last part, knowing that I wouldn't go back on my word when she brought it up.

"I hate you so much right now." I scolded as I began to remove my armour. When it was all gone Ahri stared at me with open eyes, looking me up and down with great interest.

"What?"

That's when I felt a breeze from the open door glaze over me.

"I'm not wearing many clothes, am I?"

She shook her head while continuing to examine me closely.

"I've had enough of this place. I'm going to my room." I grumbled as I went to the door.

"Well you better be ready by six. You're taking me out to dinner."

"Yeah, yeah whatever!"

I passed through the door and turned as she shouted: "If you want to go in what you're wearing now I wouldn't have a problem with it!"

This one is the latest yet… I think I am going to make an award for the chapter that is latest.

But anyway I am genuinely going to do some Nocturne x Morgana stuff. It's just too much fun to not write about it. You have to admit he is constantly being portrayed as a bad guy, so I thought that he deserved a bit of loving in at least one series.

Another note about this chapter. I stopped when Zoh walked in on Zed holding and went bowling and I couldn't be arsed to write something smart about how Ahri got out of it so I brought in a badass (Shen in this case) and then threw Zed out of a window. Seems reasonable don't you think?

As always write a review or something I honestly do care and I read all of them. Although it does help if you have an account so I can reply or something.

GOODBYE.
