Magic was clearly not powerful enough. Not strong enough to make him stop loving her. Anakin is lying there in bed with every single memory intact and every single emotion intact. He can mostly only remember the hurt though, and trust him the hurt is enough to break down any man. He stares blankly at the hospital walls. What is he supposed to do? There are really only two choices. One, believe Padme when she says that she has changed, he really has no idea what happened since the day he left and he wasn't away for too long. Just two weeks. Maybe she didn't accept Bail's offer maybe she picked him over his best friend…. The doctors pushed through the door to his room and broke his chain of thoughts.

Padme hears of the news that Anakin woke up and quickly gathered her things and ran from the cafeteria to Anakin's room. She ran all the way running through her head with things to say to him, things to explain to him. She abruptly stops at the giant glass window that looks down into Anakin's room. She can see the top of his head and he is definitely sitting up which is a wonderful sign. She has decided to ignore Morgan's crap, she and Anakin should be together, she didn't know it with certainty before but at least she is certain now. Just when she was about to turn around he ran into a family face.

"Padme!" Bail said assertively. "I was looking all over for you" Grabbing both her shoulders.

"Bail! What are you doing here?" She asks "I can't talk right now, I have to go see Anakin."

"Woah hang on a sec, I just spoke to his doctor they are going in there to check up on him to make sure things are ok, we can go in after that." He said rubbing his hands protectly along her upper arms. He pulls her in for a warm hug. She sank in his arms, the emotion torment was too much to bare and she finds herself finally collapsing underneath the guilt and the weight of things.

Anakin looked up from his bed just in time as the doctors continue to examine him. He saw his best friend, completely in love, hugging the girl that Anakin loved.
