So… the League universe just got ret-conned entirely… bugger.
I promise that this series will be brought to a proper close and not hurried shut to finish it before the inevitable new series.
On the topic of the new series, it will basically be an alternate universe version of this one. So Zoh will go into the next series. I'll be honest, it's mainly because I can't be arsed to create an entire new main character. It is so damn difficult to make a new character that doesn't just end up being a written version of me or someone I know. In general, I hate it. So I'm just going to keep Zoh. Plus, everyone else will be very similar to how they are now. Shen will be weird, Rengar will be violent, Akali will be as close to normal as I dare get etc. etc.
But that stuff is pretty far away. Hell, I haven't even worked out how Ahri and Zoh are going to meet.
I'll sort it later…
PUN OF THE DAY OF THE CHAPTER OF THE WEEK OF THE SOMETHING ELSE:
"Hey Yorick, who is your favourite ADC?"
"Hmm I'm not sure… I do dig Graves."
OH YEAH THIS IS IMPORTANT SO LISTEN! Lemon ahoy! There will be a warning when it is close so if you see it, skip down until you see the warning that is has ended.
Anyway! Nothing else to report.
On with the chapter!
Chapter 32: Bad press
Ahri POV
I was brought back to reality by a brilliantly cooling breeze of air whistling down the stairs and by my back. As much as I had to commend Zoh for creating the little underground cave, it did have an irritating tendency to get very warm and humid. Every time a breath of air swept through the cave I was pulled out of my own little world of imagination and back to the card game. At that point I could not even recall what game we were playing.
Once the cool air was gone I attempted to drift back into a half-sleep, only to be kept in reality by a sudden bout of conversation started by Zoh.
"So then, where have you been these last few days Dis?"
"Honestly Zoh, I've been banging your mum."
"…Wish I hadn't asked."
"What the hell did you think I was doing with her? Playing cards? No! Cause this shit is boring with only two people."
"What about Megan?"
"As far as I know, she has not heard anything. I'm simply known as 'Mommy's friend' to her."
"In all fairness, she's not really old enough to distinguish between wrestling and banging."
With some effort I ignored it all and went back to my happy place. Just me and Zoh, far away from any troubles or worries. It was a simple life but I didn't need anything more. Even though I constantly reminded Zoh that I wanted a tree-house, a swimming pool, a tennis court etc. I never really cared. It was as always the people that mattered the most, especially if the people in question were any of the ones playing cards with me that very moment.
Suddenly every bone in my body jumped and my hairs went on end. It took me a moment to realise that the cause of my jump was Zoh's arm, which was all of a sudden around my shoulders. He gently shook my shoulders to get my attention then whispered in one of my fox-ears.
"You realise that you've been going all in every game at the first possible opportunity, right?"
"I've been daydreaming a bit?"
"I noticed. What were you thinking about?"
"Oh, nothing really."
"I'm interested now."
"Be a good boy and I'll tell you about it later." I teased while turning my head to him and giving a seductive smile.
"Depends what being a 'good boy' entails."
"I think you know. But in case your memory needs jogging…"
I grabbed Zoh's head softly and pulled his lips against mine. He took hold of my hip with his free hand then just sat there enjoying it, just like I was.
After a few blissful moments I let him go but held his arm over my shoulders. His shirt sleeve was gloriously cold so I wanted to keep it there as long as I possibly could. We both looked back at the rest of the group just in time to see Yasuo gulping down more of his winnings. The moment alcohol became a part of it he had suddenly become vastly better at everything we did. And, in contrast to what he said in League games, he could NOT handle his drink.
I peeked at my cards, going out of my way to stop Zoh from seeing them. They weren't too bad. Probably.
Just in case, I leaned over to Zoh and whispered into his ear:
"What game are we actually playing?"
"Uhh… hold on." He leaned to his right and whispered to Lux. She seemed confused for a moment then copied his actions to Rengar.
Eventually I was being asked by Lissandra the exact same question which I had put to Zoh.
"Okay so I guess we all just forgot then. What shall we actually do?"
All the other people sat around the table shrugged their shoulders and simply tried to avoid being the one who answered. The first, and probably only, one with the balls to speak up was Dis.
"I guess we should make a plan for the next few weeks before Yasuo passes out."
"Actually I have that sorted." Zoh interjected.
"What, do you have a map or something?"
"No. I have pamphlets." He stated blandly before pulling out a bunch of pamphlets with 'Terrorism for dumb-asses' printed on the front. Zoh handed them out to everyone, though some people barely managed to keep hold of them. Clearly, Dis had made the beer far too strong.
"When did you get time to make pamphlets?"
"Dude, I can literally go to a place where time does not apply."
"Oh yeah… seems a bit OP to me."
"Everything I own is OP. Otherwise I wouldn't own it."
"I don't even need stuff to be OP." Dis smiled.
"I only need a Statikk Shiv!" Yasuo declared before collapsing sideways onto Lux, taking her with him down to the ground. They landed with Yasuo lying on top of Lux.
"You son of a bitch!" She screamed while whacking him with her sceptre but it was in vain. Yasuo was as likely to wake up as a child shot by elephant tranquiliser.
All the other people around the table were struggling to hold back their laughter out of fear of what Lux might do when she got free. I got incredibly close to bursting out in laughter but managed to cover my mouth and keep it down.
"Stop laughing you sons of bitches!"
The more she flailed and struggled the funnier it got. Her inebriated state added just as much.
A few seconds later Yasuo shuffled around on top of Lux, an action which pushed multiple people over the edge. Zoh included.
Almost instantly after that everyone in the room joined in the laughter. Multiple factors coincided to make the situation far funnier than it had any right to be, so much so that my chair tipped backwards, taking myself and Zoh with it.
After a good while of sustained laughter it died out just as Lux's temper cooled down. Everyone finished laughing before absolute silence entered the room. It was broken shortly after by Nocturne.
"We have probably had a bit too much."
"Yup."
"Uhuh."
"Definitely."
"On a scale of 'tipsy' to 'can't walk, can barely talk' we're probably at 'all emotions are stronger'. So, no-one get into any arguments."
Once we were all done agreeing with each other over and over and over again we all got up to our feet then sorted out the table. Without a word we all cleaned up the room then, at the last possible time we could, picked Yasuo up.
Lux's face was not one of positive emotions.
"Okay I suppose we'll go now. See you when we see you." Malzahar declared while waving and leading Lissandra, Nocturne and Morgana up the stairs. Soon after Rengar grabbed Yasuo and slung him over his shoulder.
"We're going to go as well. I think drunk-hunting sounds like fun."
He went up the stairs but Lux did not follow for a moment, instead choosing to go to the bottom and turn to glare at the rest of us left in the room. She left soon after so the only ones left in the room were me, Zoh, Akali, Shen, Zed and Dis. The last of those was wiping some spills off his armour and hood when Akali spoke up:
"So I've been wondering, are you actually going to help us Dis?"
"Sorry, I can't. Even though I'm on holiday I still can't directly affect things like this. I'll be watching every once in a while though."
"And let me guess, the rest of the time you will be-"
"Banging Zoh's mum."
"That's what I thought. Have fun with that by the way."
"I most definitely am. She is surprisingly tight."
"Oh god!" Zoh exclaimed before face-palming.
"He, he, he. I would mention some other things which surprised me but that would be spoilers."
Shen decided to attempt to lighten Zoh's mood with one of his ever-helpful comments:
"Do not fret Zoh, for surely extended use will un-tighten your mother's private area."
Zoh added his other hand to his face and groaned. I decided that the best thing to do would be to make it worse for him:
"To be fair, I'm still tight down there and we had sex every day for weeks." I explained to the group while motioning to myself and Zoh.
"I don't have any more hands to face-palm with!"
I slapped his face relatively lightly and held my hand there.
"There you go."
"I'll leave you guys to do… whatever it is you're going to do." Dis announced while giving a polite bow then stumbling up the stairs.
Zoh removed his hands along with mine then took a seat on the edge of the table.
"Alright guys, I suppose we should all go do whatever we must to get sober then we can put together a plan of some sort then go bomb the shit out of the League's PR. Sound good?"
Everyone nodded and dispersed except for Me, Zoh and Zed.
"Zoh, I require a conversation with you. There is a problem that has been brought to my attention which you should know of."
"Do I have to leave you guys alone?" I asked.
"If you wish to stay I have no objections to it." Zed replied.
"Okay then. Go on then, what's happened?"
"One of my acolytes was surveying the League area, searching for structural and security vulnerabilities, when they happened across a deal being made by two Summoners. They both exchanged documents before going their separate ways. My acolyte followed one and retrieved the document he was carrying. The document contains the files of all the new Council members."
"Alright. What is the 'problem' this has created?" Zoh queried, a look of interest on his face.
"The document we retrieved is not the problem nor does it create the problem. That honour goes to the document we did not recover."
"If this is what one of them traded then that other document must be of equal value."
"Precisely. From what the acolyte told me, both Summoners appeared to be in a hurry once the transaction was completed."
"Why would they need to trade documents like this in the first place?" I asked, getting a dismissive sigh from Zed.
"It is a well-known fact that different groups of Summoners conspire against each other nowadays. If I had to guess, a group of Summoners is planning to make a power play. So, they trade with one of the other groups with information they need in mutually beneficial exchanges."
"I feel like there is a quote for what the League is right now…"
"A house divided is shit." Zoh replied.
"Close enough."
"So then Zed, how do you suppose we find that other document?"
"Despite my personal distaste for the idea, the best course of action would be to spare the lives of the Summoners in the PR area so that we may question them."
"I was going to do that anyway. Now we just have one more question to ask."
"It is agreed then. I shall vacate myself from this area and purge this alcohol from my body."
He disappeared instantly, leaving a smoky shadow behind which quickly faded away.
"What do you think he means by 'purge'?" I asked Zoh who shrugged before replying:
"Going for a piss?"
We both pondered it for a second before seemingly coming to the same conclusion that it was best not to think about it.
As the sounds of a tree falling over and someone shouting "bugger!" came down the staircase I took a seat on the edge of the table. Zoh took a moment to fiddle with a flickering light bulb which was imbedded into the wall until it stayed on consistently.
"When did you make them?"
"I found them in the pile of stuff. They didn't appear to be particularly dangerous so I put them in the wall. Hopefully they won't explode or anything… no promises though."
I shuffled slightly to the right to make room for Zoh as he strolled over to me. When he hopped up onto the table I grabbed his arm and wrapped it around my waist.
"I hope I never have to do something which requires two hands around you…" He noted.
"If that happens, I'll lend you a hand."
"What if you're doing something with both of your hands?"
"I'll lend you a fucking tail or something."
"Don't swear. It's rude."
"I'll do what I want."
"Yes ma'am."
"You should stop calling me that."
"Yes ma'am."
"Stop."
"Three bags full ma'am."
"I said stop!"
"Anything you say..."
"Thank you."
"… ma'am."
I punched him as hard as I could on the stomach, knowing it wouldn't leave any permanent damage. It was still satisfying to see him keel over for a moment and void his lungs before pulling himself back up.
"That was very rude ma'am."
"Oh my god why are you so annoying sometimes?" I shouted while pushing his arm off me.
"Because seeing you get annoyed is kinda funny every once in a while. No wait, it's funny all the time."
I turned from him with a "humph" while crossing my arms and slouching my head.
"Oh this is how you're going to play it? And I suppose I'm meant to just get on my knees and beg to be forgiven?"
When I didn't reply he chuckled.
"Yeah no that isn't going to happen."
It sounded like he took off his shirt then laid back on the table. I took a quick peek to confirm what I heard.
"If you were wondering, I decided to stop wearing my shirt. You'll understand why soon."
Every once in a while, as we sat there, one of my tails would brush along him. Even though I tried my very best to stop my brain from thinking about it, all I could imagine was Zoh's muscles. My mind was not my own, apparently, so I instead tried looking around the room for things to focus on. Unfortunately, we were in a nearly blank room.
"Ahri you really should stop touching my abs with your tails. I know they are great, but you've got to stop."
I pulled all my tails around to my lap and held them down by leaning on them. Behind me, Zoh got up and walked through to one of the other rooms. He came out seconds later holding a bottle of water which he took a sip of before pouring the rest over his head.
"That's much better." He declared before stretching and laying back down on the table.
Every time I glanced back he was just lying there, eyes closed and smile on his face. I distinctly remembered doing a very similar thing to him a while ago. It worked for me then and it was very much working for him. Every moment that went by I felt my desire growing stronger.
"Surely I am better than this!" I thought to myself with a certain amount of disdain for my own nature.
I decided that the best thing to do would be to leave but every time I tried to jump off the table my legs would not allow me to go or my arms would stop me in one way or another. Gritting my teeth in frustration, I chose to sit there and try to sleep. That worked about as well as my other idea did as I soon found that I was debunking my own reasons for being irritated with Zoh in the first place. It wasn't long before I gave in to temptation and laid down on top of him.
"Oh, hello Ahri. How's it going?"
"Can we just do something for a bit? I really, really need it."
"Before we do, sorry. I do hate doing this, but it was too good of an idea to pass up."
"I don't give a damn if you're sorry or not!"
At the same time as I began pulling off my clothes I planted my lips against Zoh's. He gave me some help getting off my bra and panties before pulling away from the kiss for a moment.
"What if Shen or Akali walks in?"
"They're passing the time until they are sober, what do you think they are doing?"
"Good point."
Lemon bit here!
As he began kissing my breasts I, with the help of my tails, took off his trousers and boxers. All the water Zoh poured over himself was getting all over me as well and splashing onto the table. Before I knew it he was teasing my entrance with his fingers and kissing my nipples. I moaned loudly at the pleasure I was receiving, not being sure what felt better. When I thought it couldn't possibly get any better he began to fondle my other breast while shoving two fingers inside my entrance. I was genuinely worried that anyone outside would hear my moaning and groaning, but I just about managed to force myself to be quieter. Looking around frantically for some way to repay Zoh, I came to the conclusion that the best idea was to play with his manhood using my hand and a tail. He jumped for a moment before continuing with what he was doing.
It felt like hours passed by but I knew it was only a few minutes. I had already came more times than I could count when Zoh removed his fingers from my then-very wet hole. He also stopped sucking on my breast to kiss me. I moaned into the kiss when he pushed his manhood inside of me then started thrusting in and out. With one hand he continued to fondle my breast as the other grabbed my butt. All I could do was play with my other breast and hold onto Zoh with my hands while trying to match his thrusts with my own. Once again I found shudders going through my body as I came again. When Zoh felt this he started thrusting even faster than before, immediately getting me right near the edge of coming again. I got closer still when he stopped kissing me and went back to sucking on the breast that I was playing with. Seconds after my mouth got free I let out a moan and cried Zoh's name. Moments later I once again felt myself coming, only to realise that he did as well. I felt myself getting filled up as we both stopped moving. He continued to pour into me for a few more seconds. When he was done I got up and sat there, him still inside of me, before whispering.
"You realise we are going to continue until I'm so full I look fat, right?"
He nodded with a smile and took hold of my hips. It was going to be some time before we finished.
End of lemon.
Many hours later (9th June 01:00am):
The peaceful slumber I had managed to lull myself into was broken shortly after I got into it by a knocking behind me. When my eyes blinked open they were barraged by bright light which forced them back closed again for a moment. I put my hand up to shield my face before opening my eyes and staring around the room for the source of the noise. My attention eventually locked onto Akali who was standing at the door, looking about as scruffy as I imagined I did. For a moment I was worried until I saw that me and Zoh were safely under the covers in our bed.
"Morning Ahri. I see you did much the same thing as I did to pass the time."
"Yeah. I'm surprised you didn't hear us to be honest."
"It would be weird if we did. Being as deep in the woods as we were."
"Oh yeah that would be weird. What about Zed? He didn't hear us, did he?"
"Uh yeah about that… he probably did. Or at least, he heard enough to make him climb to the top of the mountain."
My eyes widened as a look of regret covered my face.
"Oh god it is going to be so awkward next time I see him…"
"I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. We're about to go attack a place with people so he will probably forget about it when the bodies start piling up."
"I thought we weren't going to kill people?"
"I'd say that is a best case scenario. Now once you have woken him up and got dressed we can show you the plan."
I gave a thumb's up and smiled, prompting her to walk out. Putting my hand down I stared down at Zoh who was sleeping quietly. Noticing that he was still inside of me at the time I swirled my hips around in a circle, immediately waking him up.
"Wha- what happened? What month is it?" He exclaimed while frantically staring around before his eyes locked on me.
"Oh hey Ahri. Seriously though, what month is it?"
"Still June."
"Ah. Okay. Good. We weren't doing that for as long as I thought."
"Thankfully not."
"So uh… why did you wake me up?"
"We've got to get dressed to attack the PR place."
"Alrighty then. You're going to have to get up first though. I'm a bit stuck down here."
I leaned down to give him a quick kiss before pulling myself off of his manhood.
After a bit of struggling and some help from Zoh we were both dressed. I went through to the other room, Zoh following just behind. As we strolled into the room Akali was just sitting down and Zed was coming down the stairs. Once everyone was seated Shen stood up and placed a large, labelled map of the League grounds on the table.
"As you can see, this is the League building and surrounding area. This is the main area and these are the living areas." He noted while pointing at various parts of the map.
"These are the areas we must avoid at all costs. A large majority of the fighting-fit Summoners are stationed in these areas and obviously most of the champions are there at this moment in time. I doubt I speak for only myself when I say that it is not my intention to spend my night fighting the greatest warriors on the planet who can't be killed and are grumpy because they got woken up early."
"Now then, this is our target." He stated while pointing at a room just behind the Council chambers. It had two entrances, one connecting it to the Council room and one leading to a few more rooms which were marked as 'Under Construction'.
"Why are those rooms near it still being made? Didn't they build the League ages ago?" Zoh questioned while scratching his chin.
"They constantly tear rooms down and remake them. The main designer is a bit of a douche." Akali answered.
"That fact plays to our advantage. We can use the unfinished rooms as an easy access point into the League. The construction workers will not be there and it is a well-known fact that the designer goes around villages at this time, utilising a loud-speaker to offend people's lack of artistic architecture."
"I kind of hope he is there now so I can smack some sense into him." Zoh revealed, leading to nods and grumbles of approval.
"We may only hope. Now, once we are inside the incomplete rooms we must quietly plant breaching explosives on the wall between us and the PR room. If my memory does not fail me, they all meet around this time of night before dispersing and going home. This means that they should all be sitting around a large, rectangular table. So, as long as we play it correctly, they should be easy to subdue. Presuming of course that the so-called 'flash-bangs' we found in the pile outside do as their title suggests."
"If we are going to use them I will just say now that I am not liable for any permanent blindness, deafness, total lack of basic human senses, death, large amounts of pain, seizures etc. that may occur from use of flash-bangs." Zoh added.
"… Indeed. I hope above hope that none of those outcomes happen. But apart from that, there is one point which we must remember once the explosives have gone off: we will only have five minutes for interrogations before the other Summoners will realise something is wrong. Explosions happen all the time, but explosions followed by no response from entire rooms over the radio is usually a cause for concern."
"So how are we going to get out?" I questioned, getting a shrug from Shen.
"We were hoping Zoh would be able to provide our exit."
"I have, exactly the thing for that." Zoh announced, a huge grin crossing his face.
"What is it? A teleporter?"
"Nope."
"Then, what?"
"Ever heard of a bunker-buster?"
A few minutes later (01:30am):
I tried to keep low as we approached the building I had called home a few days ago. My eyes had just about adjusted to the light by then so I could see the outline of the trees and outhouses surrounding the huge building. Zoh was next to me in full armour with a bomb strapped to his back which was supposedly the thing that would be getting us out. It looked like a particularly fat rocket and was nearly as tall as he was. After a bit of jogging we got to a wall and crouched at the bottom of it.
"How are we supposed to get up there again?"
He pulled out what looked like a rocket launcher with a hook in the end instead of explosives. Aiming it up and firing, the hook shot out along with some rope that was attached to it. It clinked onto the roof so Zoh gave it a tug before detaching the rope from the launcher and putting the launcher somewhere. Not sure where but I wasn't too worried at that point. I watched as he pulled himself up the rope, the bomb on his back swaying dangerously around.
"Be careful with that thing!" I exclaimed in as hushed a voice as I could.
He stopped climbing and looked down at me from a few metres up.
"It's almost probably likely not to maybe explode. Possibly."
Zoh's attempt at reassuring me did precisely the opposite. Thankfully he clambered onto the roof moments later without an incident. A wave of relief washed over me so I was finally took hold of the rope and pulled myself up. Once on the roof I took a moment to try and find Shen, Akali and Zed but realised that I was trying to find ninja's in total darkness. Zoh gave me a pat on the back before running across the roof we were on and jumping across a small gap to the next one. I copied his actions to a T and found myself at the edge of a hole in the room which presumably went down into the unfinished room. Zoh jumped in without a moment of hesitation, an action I was not so keen to copy. Instead, I sat down on the edge of it and dropped down so I was hanging onto the edge with my hands before letting go. I expected to hit the ground but Zoh caught me before that could happen.
"Thanks."
"No problem milady." He replied while putting me down on my feet. In the pitch black I could see nothing until a pair of glowing red eyes appeared in the corner of the room.
"I see you have arrived." He declared before the entire room was bathed in light from something on Zoh's armour. It was almost entirely bare save for some ladders and boxes. That was, until I noticed that Shen and Akali were sitting on the floor just in front of us.
"Hey guys. How long have you been there?"
"Approximately three seconds. Four. Five. Six. Seven-"
"Alright Shen you can stop now, we get the idea." Zoh interrupted.
The two ninjas got up from the floor.
"Zoh, if you would please plant the explosives we can begin in proper."
"Gladly." He replied before going to the wall which separated the room we were in and the PR room. I noticed as he prepared the explosives that there was a door right next to Zed, who was leaning on the frame of it.
"Why don't we just use that?" I asked, getting looks of what could be described as disgust from my friends.
"You would prefer to go through a door over destroying the wall?" Akali questioned.
"Well I just thought it would be easier! No need for you all to glare at me! Jeez."
Akali and Shen sighed at me while Zed rubbed his temples with one hand.
"Okay then everyone come and stand where I am now." Zoh stated while taking his position just to the left of the explosive. We all gathered behind him as he pulled out a small grenade-looking thing and pulling the pin. A second later a huge explosion blasted the walls to pieces but left us unscratched. The very walls of the building shook as Zoh threw the grenade thing through the still-crumbling wall. Some shouting came from the room next-door before being silenced by a deafening bang and a flash of incredibly bright light. Everyone else rushed in as I stood there in pain, my sensitive fox-ears ringing and my eyes feeling like they were just splashed by lemon juice.
I dropped to one knee and held onto my ears protectively. Even though I couldn't hear it I knew I was whimpering and I even felt my eyes tearing up a bit. I opened them just in time to see a Summoner get thrown through the hole in the wall, followed by Zoh. The Summoner scrambled across the floor, trying desperately to get away from the towering man in armour and his axe. Zoh caught up to him easily and picked him up by the collar.
"Look, you're making this way more difficult than it needs to be."
The Summoner just about managed to get a book from atop a nearby box which he quickly threw at Zoh's helmet-covered face. It pinged off harmlessly leading to a face-palm from Zoh.
"As I said, you're making this difficult. It can be easy, but you are actively going out of your way to stop it from being that-"
Zoh was interrupted by another object, this time a lamp, to the helmet.
"Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you? You aren't the Summoner I scared shitless when I first got here, are you? Cause you look kind of similar."
A plank and a brick later Zoh gave a deep sigh before turning to look at me.
"Ahri can you- are you alright over there?"
He strolled over to me, still holding the struggling Summoner in one hand and took a knee in front of me.
"That really… really hurt."
Zoh knocked the Summoner out with a punch before lying him down and sitting down next to me. I continued to rub my eyes and tend to my ears until Zoh took off his armour and sat me down on his lap.
"Let me get a look at you."
When I turned to give him a better view he examined my eyes and ears closely.
"So far as I can tell there is no permanent damage." He stated while pulling out a cloth and wiping my eyes with it before putting my head down a bit and kissing my ears. It felt slightly better, simply because I enjoyed the feeling of silk cloth on my face and of Zoh kissing my ears.
"I can make something to speed up the healing process when we get back. For now, I've got to set up some explosives."
He got up and put on his armour, taking some explosives off his belt. When he disappeared back through the hole in the wall I rested my back on the wall. The Summoner Zoh had knocked out earlier, who was just in front of me, started to wake up so I kicked him in the face, sending him straight back to sleep. A moment later Zoh, Shen, Akali and Zed all ran in. Shen grabbed the Summoner and ran him back into the other room as Zoh offered me his hand.
As I took it I asked:
"Are they going to get caught in the blast?"
"Nah we threw 'em into another room."
Shen jumped back in as Zoh took the bomb off his back and placed it on the ground.
"Alright everyone grab on and remember: when I say 'jump', fucking jump. If you stay on this thing too long it will not end very well."
We all took hold of various handles on the side of the bomb. As Zoh fiddled with a button for a moment. I looked back just in time to see Ezreal of all people jump into the room with his bow-thing drawn. He was about to say something when, without missing a beat or even turning around, Zoh pulled out his axe and smacked the little blond boy with the blunt side of it. Zed burst out in laughter at it.
"That was nice. I've always wanted to do that."
"Thank you very much. Aha! I've got it!" He declared while planting the little button on the bomb and smashing it with his fist. A burst of fire flew out from the back end of the bomb before we all flew through a wall, sending debris all over the place.
Then another wall.
Then another.
And then another.
One more wall later we were out in the open air with the League building far behind us and the treeline in front of us fast approaching.
"Jump!"
I barely heard it over the sound of wind rushing into my face and the ringing still present in my ears, but I heard enough to let go.
For a few seconds there was nothing. I could not bear to open my eyes and the ringing blocked all noise.
Upon hitting the ground I instantly did what came naturally and rolled to lessen the fall. I rubbed my eyes then looked around for everyone else. Shen, Akali and Zed were safely on the ground. Zoh was not. A second later another explosion went off, creating a huge fiery blast along with a shockwave that sent ripples through the air. It flung huge amounts of dust into the air and knocked everyone off their feet. Apparently even ninja's couldn't avoid explosions if they were massive enough.
Through the sea of dust I could just about make out what looked like a meteor flying up into the air. It stopped gaining altitude after a while but appeared to stay motionless in the air. That was put to an abrupt end when it began descending rapidly, still on fire. It was then that I realised it was actually Zoh. He passed through a layer of cloud and must have been going so fast that the fires which had previously covered him were put out.
About ten seconds later he smashed into the ground right where the bomb had gone off, expanding the crater it had created. All the dust that had settled was threw into the air once again making me, being the only one not wearing a face-mask, to burst out in a coughing fit. Through it all I still managed to make my way to Zoh and knock on his helmet a few times.
"Hey Zoh are you *cough* alright in there?"
"Yeah, no I'm fine. Just fell from a few hundred metres up, while on fire and in a suit of incredibly heavy metal armour just after I got exploded by a bomb. Actually, the only thing I'm not happy about is that I didn't nail the three phase landing."
"Alright then, no need to be a sarcastic twat about it."
"Sorry, I'm not usually in a good mood after falling from a few hundred metres-"
"I get the idea! Now shut up and get running."
He pushed himself from the ground and joined the rest of us in running from the scene. We fled into the forest ahead of us, not even taking the time to look back. After a short run we got to a small break in the canopy, above a sink-hole in the ground. The sink-hole was surrounded by a few metres of dirt with no grass. In the darkness we almost fell into it, only realising its presence when we were mere feet from it. I thought that we were all safely stopped at the edge of it, but that was false. Shen was gripping onto the edge of the giant hole with one hand. Akali got down to help him when an ark of lightning cracked through the treeline, obliterating the ground just next to the ninjas. I spun, my eyes being met by a group of fifteen or so angry-looking men running towards us with swords and torches in hand along with two Summoners. They yelled their war cries as Zoh yelled at us:
"Zed: take out the Summoners! Akali you help Shen up then join me and Ahri in taking on the rest!"
Zed laughed and disappeared into shadows, yet I still heard his reply:
"Gladly."
As Akali attempted to help Shen up Zoh ran into the group of men head-on. I created my Orb and jumped in after him. My first target was a particularly gruff and unsightly man near the front of the pack. I rushed close to him to kick him in the stomach before dashing sideways, throwing my Orb as I went. It hit him in the side just as he attempted to strike where I used to be. I moved a few metres sideways so that when my weapon returned it plunged through another, younger looking man. When I attempted to look for a new target I noticed that Zoh was doing his best to not kill anyone. He was instead knocking them aside with the back-end of his axe or punching them, although the odd unlucky one did get a slice from his blade by accident.
By the time I dived back in on my chosen enemy Shen and Akali were jumping into the fray, weapons drawn with intent to kill. The enemy numbers were starting to thin but the occasional strike of magic did slow our progress. Before I could launch my Orb into the battle fire coated the ground ahead of me, forcing me back. It settled down long enough for me to determine which way my target was moving and stop them in their tracks. I was overcome with the strangest feeling when the Orb hit its mark. It felt so strange for a moment until the Orb returned to me. It disappeared then reappeared in my hands. When it did so my ears felt better. I couldn't explain it. I didn't want to. All that mattered was my ears didn't hurt anymore.
In my awe I didn't notice the flurry of rocks flying at me. Before they could hit I was tackled out of the way by Akali. She didn't say a word before getting off me and dashing back into the crowd. I shook the haze out of my mind and ran back into the fight. One of the enemy soldiers ran at me with sword raised. I dashed behind him and ducked as he swung his weapon in a huge arc. I kicked the sword out of his grip then threw my Orb into his gut.
Through all the violence and gore I never even pondered for a moment on the idea that I had just killed a man with no weapon. No way to fight back. I was already dashing and fighting when he hit the ground.
A few moments later it was over. The fight was over and the only noise was the heavy breathing of those still alive and the clanking of Zoh in his armour. He looked around until his eyes landed on me.
"Add 'getting hit by sharp things', 'being set on fire again' and 'getting electrocuted' to my list of gripes for this morning."
"Add 'being tired' to mine."
In the distance Zed's voice rang out:
"I believe this may be something you shall want to see."
Zoh shook his head and ran over to Zed who was looking at something the other side of a tree. I followed him until we got to the other side of the tree. There was a female Summoner there, sobbing into her hands which were in chains.
"It was my understanding that this one was supposed to NOT go back to the League."
"Yeah Zed, she wasn't. Do you reckon that maybe she did run but was caught? It explains the cuffs after all."
"Why don't we ask her?" Zed questioned.
"Does she look like someone who can answer questions right now?" I retorted while kneeling down to comfort the girl.
"Torture normally works."
"Quiet Zed." Zoh groaned while sitting down next to the girl.
"And what do you suggest we do? It is not like we can take her with us."
Zoh thought for a moment.
"Alright then. We're taking her with us."
Yeah this is over now. Hope you lot had fun.
I'll admit, this was a bit hard to write at points without feeling awkward. You know the points I'm talking about.
So I'm going to end this so I can get some sleep. Goodnight all. Or, good morning at the time of writing. Or evening. Or afternoon. Really depends on when you read this.
Ahahahaha! I just found the horizontal line button while editing this on and now I shall abuse the fuck out of it :D
Goodbye! I hope you all enjoyed reading and I also hope you all enjoy life until the next chapter, at which point I will once again wish you all good luck!
