Greetings. My screen was going all IFISNDFIFIUHWUYBDJHBFSKAMFIEUUGYEIUIWY(*EW(* on me so I just lost a bunch of progress on this when I was like 'Aww fuck this kill it with fire!'

I didn't actually kill my computer with fire. I have another one but that's my gaming PC and doesn't have Microsoft Word so I wouldn't be able to do stuff. I wouldn't be writing this right now. Spooky.

Anyway so I suppose I'll just get on with the chapter in a minute. After a conversation with a reader I have come up with the Fluff-to-Stuff Ratio! For those who do not understand babble-language, fluff is everything which could be considered non-essential to the story and stuff is the opposite of that. All credit for this idea goes to Anthropomancy who is also going to be teaching me how to Hearthstone. So he's a pretty great guy.

Anyway, the ratio for this episode will probably be about ninety per cent fluff and ten stuff. If you're wondering why, I just feel like a lot of stuff has happened in the last few chapters so we could all use a little break from the seriousness.

Chapter 36: Odd jobs

Late morning (11:30 12th June):

It was starting to become a bit of a habit to find myself waking in unusual places. However, hanging from a tree by a bit of rope attached to my foot was a new one. I shook my head then tried to work out where I was, though it quickly became obvious that I was not anywhere that I recognised even slightly. It was really foggy so I could barely see a few metres in front of me, but I could at least confirm that I was wearing clothes and that I was a few metres from the ground. I was wearing my Terran Republic armour, but it wasn't really the time to work out why or how.

After a quick check that the coast was clear I attempted to reach up and get hold of the rope around my ankle. My hands could just barely not reach despite multiple attempts so I gave up.

"This is what I get for not doing gymnastics in school…"

Looking for another way to free myself I checked my waist and found that there was a pistol attached to my belt. I recalled creating it and quickly coming to the conclusion that it was not such a great idea. But, it was only clear option.

I very carefully unclipped it from my belt then took aim at the rope. With a pull of the trigger the rope was disintegrated completely but I remained in the air.

"Why would I even make a gun that doesn't work with gravity? When would this ever be useful?" I shouted before throwing the gun, only to have it get stuck in mid-air where I let go of it.

"Not funny…" I grumbled just before the faint sounds of crumping leaves and breaking twigs reached my ears. When I instinctively turned my head to the source of the noise I was met by nothing but fog. Seeing as there was such a small chance that I was being approached by a friend, I put my helmet on and grabbed the gun.

The sound got unnervingly close and I realised every muscle in my body was tensed up. Finally a small dog, a husky, trotted up to me through the fog. I let out a long breath and un-tensed as it stepped underneath me then sat down. It sat down and stared up at me.

"Hey, dog-thing, I need you to help me."

It barked so I assumed it was agreeing to help.

"Alright then. I'm going to go ahead and name you… uh… Dave. So, Dave, I need you to take this gun and shoot the ground under me. Can you do that?" I asked while dropping the gun. Thankfully it reached the floor and wasn't caught up in the gravity field. Dave looked at it then picked the gun up and strolled away.

"No, Dave… Da- no not… stop, please!"

"Dave you betrayed me!" I declared as it disappeared through the fog.

"Oh no what if it was a girl…"

"Shit."

"Sorry Davette- ahh what's the point?"

I sighed then face-palmed. Suddenly there was a serious of loud slams all around me and I could practically smell the magic. I moved my hand down and peeked around to see that Talon, Katarina, Volibear, Jax, Jayce and Kayle were standing in a circle on the ground below me.

"Oh… uh… hi guys… not sure if it counts for much but I'll bake you all cakes if you don't kill me-"

Kayle put her hand up to silence me. Seeing as I was not in a place to argue I shut my mouth.

"No need for the bribery attempts. We are here as friends."

"Okay… listen before we go on can someone go find a husky, should be somewhere in that direction, with a gun in its mouth."

"That's not important." Jax stated before continuing:

"The only reason we brought you here in the first place is to inform you that many champions in the League have caught on to what is truly going on here."

Talon interrupted him just before he was about to get onto his next sentence:

"We began to suspect when Darius and Ezreal were on the same team."

Katarina picked up where Jax left off:

"Me and Talon decided to check it out and we found that the Council has had some changes that we were not told of. We did some research on the new guys and found that they are all from a business background and two of them can't even use magic. More interesting still, the only one that can use magic used to be the boss of a huge company in Demacia and the other two were his execs. They were all supposedly killed in an attack months ago perpetrated by a terrorist group, however I think you can see past that."

I furrowed my brow then scratched my head.

"So most of this makes sense, but how did he get in power with so many powerful and intelligent summoners around?"

"I can answer that." A familiar voice replied a few moments before Sam walked out of the fog.

"But I can't say that you will like the answer."

"Sam? Holy-something-rude I can't say how happy I am to see you. I was worried they would kill you for being friends with me."

"What can I say, I'm quite persuasive when I need to be. But anyway, the answer to your question is you. When you and Ahri joined the League you did quite a lot and there was nothing the League could do to keep it quiet. Suddenly a summoner comes along with all these ideas of how we can monetise Ahri's image for male viewers and your image for female ones. Greed got the better of so many of the summoners and he gets appointed to head of PR. Some mysterious accidents and a lot of bribery later we end up with the new Council being selected. And none of this was noticed by a single person through scheming and distractions. Funnily enough, all of the people who would publicise such events have retired in mansions now."

"Wow… on one hand I feel used and terrible for being an unwilling part of this process; yet on the other I get an ego boost from knowing that I'm good looking enough to be the guy who they use to get women to watch the League."

"Good to know this experience hasn't made you more serious."

"If you thought it would I am disappointed in you."

"Anyway, I suppose we should get you down now."

"Yeah. I don't really get why you put me up here anyway."

"We were going to scare you with a bear but I must have summoned something else. The spells for a bear and dog are very similar."

"More like 'the spells for a bear and lying, deceitful dog are very similar'."

"I'm not going to ask."

"Good. Now if you could get me down that would be fantastic."

"I would if I knew an easy way to do that. You seem to have utterly destroyed my rope, which you owe me a replacement of now, so I have no idea why you are still up there."

"I would blame the dog, but I can't really lie, this is entirely my fault. I couldn't find any faults in the idea of a gun that messes with the gravity of the area it hits when I was making it."

Sam shook his head and sighed. I was about to try and defend the idea when something very hard and distinctly hammer-shaped hit me in the face, knocking me down and to the floor. Out of my peripheral vision I saw Jayce picking up his hammer from beside me and holding out a hand.

"Oh no that didn't hurt at all. Yeah totally great. Perfect way to solve the situation." I stated while taking his hand and letting him pull me to my feet.

"I just wanted you to stop whining." He replied while grinning. I had the uncomfortable feeling that he just wanted to hurt me in some way.

"It's not whining. It's professional level whining."

Everyone seemed to simultaneously roll their eyes at me so I considered that sentence a success. It was awkward for a moment until Volibear piped up:

"One last thing I think we should mention is that when you attempt to restore order and take down the Council, none in the League shall oppose you outside the people he keeps near him at all times. We will make sure of it."

"If I get to see a bear punching a summoner in the face my life will be complete."

He nodded and smiled at the idea. I think it was something we all really wanted to see.

"There's nothing else that needs to be said so I think it is about time we got back. We do not want to invoke suspicion at a time like this."

"Alright then. Well, it was nice to see you all I suppose."

They all waved before Sam mumbled something and they all disappeared shortly before I was teleported next to the swimming pool. Of course with Sam being the one who did the teleporting, I ended up lying face-down on the ground. I was still slightly dazed by being hit in the head with a hammer so I decided to lay there for a minute. Unfortunately, I found myself being poked by someone's foot.

"Good morning Zoh. Are you incapacitated or have you decided that the tiles are nicer than your bed?" Shen asked while sitting down next to me and crossing his legs.

"It's a long story and, honestly, I don't even understand half of it."

"If we are truly being honest here then I should say that I do not believe you understand half of any story. Where you focus on the smallest of details and neglect the rest, I see the whole picture in perfect detail. Now I have no desire to learn what has left you like this, I would rather enjoy the thought that you do. So think back on it for a minute and see if you missed anything important."

"I feel like you know more than you're letting on."

"I would be a terrible Eye of Twilight if I didn't."

He got up then walked off, leaving me to think. I sat up then tried to put his advice into practice. When I actually thought about it there was a lot I had not considered. Those who had been there would not be able to stop all the supporters of the Council from interfering, so there had to be more support than I previously imagined. That also meant that if a town had a friendly champion stationed in it the summoners would be more easily dealt with. Essentially, the amount of work we had ahead of us was far smaller than previously guessed. If we really knuckled down and got to work we could potentially have made friends of every major town on Runeterra in less than a month with all the different teams working at it. The only problem in my mind was telling the other groups the news.

With a plan in mind and a new-found drive to do work I jumped up and ran over to the stairs. I was about to walk down them when I found Ahri to be in my way.

"Ah Zoh, just the man I was looking for. Now I need you and Shen to go do some work for me while myself and Akali deal with some other stuff. Here's a list of things I need done. Go find Shen then be off with you."

"But Ahri I have news and a plan and I want to do useful stuff and-"

"And I don't care. Now if I remember correctly I'm your boss so when I say you're going to do the things on this list, you do them. I know you're going to say I'm being unreasonable but today is just going to be one of those days where we all have to do a bunch of jobs we don't want to do so that this whole thing can keep on going."

"But-"

"I'm just going to make this difficult for you if you keep talking back. Also, take that armour off. It doesn't suit you."

I sighed then took the list from her hand.

"Come on Shen we're going to do stuff! Not fun stuff, but stuff!" I shouted.

Shen immediately appeared next to me at the top of the stairs.

"Wonderful, I greatly enjoy doing odd-jobs. Also, I'm surprised you are still wearing that armour Zoh. It does not suit your body type."

"Bet you guys like the NC or something stupid like that."

"Neither of us know what that is Zoh. You're referencing something that only you have any experience with." Ahri stated before giving me a hug and walking down the stairs.

"Seriously Zoh you should consider changing armour. There are a considerable amount of Vanu players around here." Shen whispered before patting me on the shoulder and walking out into the open air. I took a moment to enjoy what I had just learned about Shen before walking out and switching into my normal armour.

"So do you have a PC or something Shen? I don't think the internet around here is too incredible."

"Remember you allowed me to go to that region outside of space whenever I wanted? I found your computer there. The internet is surprisingly good there."

"Yeah I installed a router there when I realised that it was really boring without a computer. Books are great and everything but playing Planetside 2 is better."

"I agree. It would be quite interesting to get the internet here really."

"Actually I thought the same thing a few days ago, which is why the thing that I'm going to be giving towns to make them like us is the internet."

"That might take some time."

"I know. I'm still working on the details of it but at some point we'll get everything set up. Actually, we could all play LoL…"

"What?"

"Oh nothing really, just some paradox's and possibly a third wall being broken."

"Well, we should probably repair the wall."

"I don't think we can at this point. Anyway let's have a look at what we're meant to be doing." I declared while holding the list out in front of me. The thing right at the top was 'Clean up Kinkou temple'. Shen was looking at it as well and appeared slightly confused.

"But I just cleaned that yesterday." He remarked while I searched the page for answers. I turned it to finds 'Notes' at the top. Just under that was a comment by Akali which read:

"Zoh, you're going to have to teach Shen about this one. Apparently, he has never heard of a vacuum cleaner."

I looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"A broom works in my experience."

"Apparently, not to the standard Akali wants. Just remember, once this is all over and done with you will probably spend quite a lot of time there with Akali. If she wants it to be properly clean then you have to make sure that it is to the highest standard possible. It's what any good gentleman would do."

"Why would she want it to be so clean?"

"From what I can tell Akali is a bit of an adventurous one so my guess would be its so you can do it everywhere and anywhere."

"That is a plausible explanation."

A short time later (12:00):

If nothing else, the temple was pretty. It was nestled some way up a mountain and had a similar style to most other Ionian buildings. From the outside I could tell the main building had at least three floors and probably an attic. Another thing I noticed about the building immediately was how open it all looked. None of the doors were closed and every window that could be open was. All around the main building was open ground with training equipment scattered around along with a few buildings. Every other spot of free space was filled with either wildlife or nothing but grass, presumably for all of the meditation they seemed to do. I would have enjoyed the scenery a bit more if I had not just clambered up the side of a mountain to get there.

"Shen tell me again why we couldn't just teleport here. Or at least use a plane or something."

"Only the worthy are allowed to gaze upon the temple up close. The ascent proves ones worth."

"In other words, difficulty for the purpose of difficulty."

"I'll just pretend that is the case if it will make you feel better."

"Thanks."

"I was lying. It is not the case and I shall now injure you for it." He added before punching me in the arm. I wish I had kept my armour on for the climb at that point.

"Don't do that Shen. You have a good punch."

"I know. It is one of the things I am most proud of."

"Just be quiet or I won't teach you."

"Blackmail."

"What did I just say?"

"You said-"

"Stop right there. I know you are going to quote me so don't even bother."

"Fine."

"Now come on. Looks like we've got our work cut out for us." I ended before walking up the path to the main building until I got to the door. Shen followed then we both stepped in. Immediately I noticed the problem that Akali had. Everything was dusty and there was stuff sprawled around everywhere, presumably in the wrong places. I took a moment just to think on all that was wrong in the place and how it could possibly have gotten into that state. I recalled that Shen's room had been very clean and orderly back at the League building.

"Shen… how… why… I don't even…"

"What? Is there something wrong with it?"

"It looks like a damn tornado has hit the place."

"That is unlikely."

"Alright then how about this: the room is dirty and nothing is where it should be. I thought you ninja's were supposed to be incredibly clean?"

"That is a misconception created from a stereotype. I assume what you are referring to is the concept of the master making the apprentice spend all day cleaning the grounds to teach them a lesson. We have not done that for many hundreds of years. It is ineffective when compared to the vast majority of other methods."

"But surely you would want the place to be clean so you can find everything."

"Why? The important things are exactly where they must be and everything else only requires a small amount of persistence to find. We have an abundance of time anyway."

"If you have so much extra time why not sort everything else and not need to spend time finding stuff?"

"Cleaning will not help you in battle. Training is more important."

"What about when you're not training."

"Free time is called 'free' for a reason."

"If this is the case then why does Akali care now?"

"She normally stays in one of the other buildings which, if you inspect it, you shall find is spotless. I assume that now she has decided that she wishes to stay with me. You may guess why on your own."

"Oh yeah, that's a thing I definitely never wanted in my mind."

"I see no problem with a completely natural process."

"The fact you just called it a 'process' makes this entire thing far worse. Let's just get to cleaning." I stated before picking up some pillows that were in front of the door. I put them back by the table as I had found was the custom in Ionia as Shen stood in the doorway.

"What am I supposed to do?"

"Alright so the first thing we have to do is get everything back in its proper place. Just find something and put it where it should be."

"As you say." He declared before going and picking some stuff up.

After quite a while of attempting to find where everything had to be it was all in place. There was still, however, the problem of the dust. I put on my normal armour and picked a button off my belt. Shen stood by as I continually smacked the button until the tiny holographic display formed a vacuum cleaner. From what I could tell it still worked so I pressed it and a vacuum cleaner appeared in the middle of the room along with a cloth and a bottle of cleaning fluid.

"Dibs on the hoover." I declared while picking it up and pulling the plug cord out. With the plug in hand I scoured the room, looking for somewhere to plug it in. After no success what-so-ever I turned to Shen who was wiping a shelf.

"Hey Shen, do you have electricity up here?"

"Let's work it out. Less than two per cent of homes in Ionia have access to electricity, only one town has a power line and there is one power station which is almost fifty miles from here. Not to mention that we are on a mountain a few hundred metres from sea-level. So, I suppose we do not."

"Alright then. No need to be a douche about it." I muttered before plugging the lead into my helmet. It was quite likely that the power would overload the vacuum cleaner but I didn't have many other options.

Just as I was about to get to the last bit of dirty floor Kennen walked through the door holding some coffee.

"I am not going to deal with this right now." He stated blankly before walking straight back out.

"Why was he here?" I asked Shen who shrugged.

"Presumably so people don't think we forgot about him."

"But we did."

"Shhh."

"Ohhhhh… I get it." I acknowledged while tapping my nose with a finger. Shen smiled to show we were both on the same page then we got back to work. Soon after we were done cleaning the first floor. That was when I remembered there was another. And another. And possibly an attic.

"You know what Shen? I think this should be a job for robots."

"Good because we're going to be here all week otherwise."

"Just give me a minute then and I'll have something that can sort this out."

I dropped the vacuum cleaner then searched the building for various components that I needed. After collecting many pots, pans, kitchen utensils, vacuum cleaner parts, possibly important historical artefacts etc. I had everything that was needed so I started throwing it all together until I got the final result of a few little cleaning robots. They had slightly horrifying red eyes but the red plastic was the only material I found which would work. Other than that they could actually be considered cute. Like toasters with tiny legs.

It was while thinking about the robots that I realised I had an odd sense of 'cute'.

Once they were all done and turned on I beckoned Shen over to look at them.

"What do you think?"

"I'm not entirely sure whether or not I should be afraid or happy so I shall instead go for emotionless and simply say that they appear adequate."

"I think it would be best for you to air on the side of scared but we won't know until we try them."

I grabbed two while Shen grabbed the other two and we both ran up the stairs. Once at the top I set them to 'clean' then threw them all in before running back downstairs. Shen followed suit but he didn't look like he understood the running.

"In case you were wondering, they might explode."

"You're lucky this temple is not ancient and sacred or I might find that to be an offense against the rules of the land."

"Eh, I don't think it would matter either way. It is, after all, FOR SCIENCE!" I declared just before a slow, consistent beep became emanating from upstairs.

"Doesn't that usually signal when one of your inventions is about to go into nuclear meltdown?"

"Uh… yeah… give me a second." I answered before slowly edging back up the stairs until I could peek over the top into the room above. Just from looking I could not find any problem with any of the robots. They all appeared to be cleaning everything up quite nicely. When I listened slightly closer, however, I discovered that they were saying something over and over again in-between the beeps. Just to be careful I put my helmet on then very, very slowly stepped into the room. The robots all had their backs to me so it should have been mostly safe.

It was only when I got within a few metres of one of them did I hear what they were saying. It was something along the lines of 'exterminate'. Having had bad experiences with things that said exactly that I began moving away from the robots. My luck was shown to be truly terrible when they all turned around at once with dust which they were going to put away. Instantly they dropped it all and their eyes lit up.

"Shen, I'm going to need some help."

"What's happening?"

"Well at some point they became toaster Daleks so I think it is best that we just get rid of them now before they get overused."

That sentence obviously gave Shen more questions than answers so he ran up the stairs with his weapons drawn just in time for the robots to begin rushing towards me. I pulled out my axe and immediately smacked one like an evil golf ball, sending it flying out of the open window. Next to me Shen was battering one with his swords so I looked on to the next one coming towards me. It was made of a frying pan so I did the only sensible thing and chopped off its handle before grabbing it and throwing it out of the window. The beeping was starting to quicken so we had to get rid of them quickly. Shen managed to throw the one he had been fighting out of the window just in time to dodge the last one which had jumped at him. It hit into the wall behind him but I grabbed it before it hit the ground. I had an idea so I looked Shen straight in the eyes and we both nodded in agreement. I ran to the other side of the room then threw the robot at Shen who smacked it with one of his swords. It went flying out of the window and the home-run noise rang out of the speakers in my shoulder-guards. We both threw our hands in the air and cheered.

"What as throw and what a hit! If there was a crowd it would definitely be going wild right now!" I shouted as we both walked to the centre of the room and high-fived.

"Ah well, that was fun but we should probably go get rid of them before we meet some nuclear problems." I declared before walking downstairs and out of the building. When I walked outside I was met by a blazing sun and heat that should only be found in the desert. Somehow it had remained so nice and temperate inside the temple.

After a bit of walking I found where the robots all landed. They were either upside-down, on their sides or their legs were no longer attached to their bodies so I assumed that they were harmless. Shen walked up next to me and we both stared down at the incredibly angry, beeping robots.

"Is there any chance that you have a plan for this situation?" Shen queried while kneeling down to inspect one of the raging robots.

"I can improvise, FOR SCIENCE!"

"Don't you mean 'with science'?"

"That would also work!" I concluded before removing the chest-piece for my armour and shoving them all inside. All of the openings in the armour closed instantly once all of the robots were inside.

"Are you sure this will work?"

"Oh Shen really…" I muttered while holding his shoulder reassuringly.

"It almost certainly won't." I added just before my chest-piece jumped up from the floor then hit back down again.

"Hmm... didn't do that last time I tried this."

"How many times have you attempted this Zoh?"

"Ten times now. Eight times it has not worked."

"Wont your armour be irradiated though?"

"Nah it just stinks for a few hours."

"I don't understand you or your technology but I'm glad to have you around." Shen admitted while I picked up my chest-piece and put it back on. It was a bit warm but overall not too bad.

"Let's just say this has been done and hope Akali doesn't check." I announced before pulling out the list and crossing it off. Just below it was 'Don't die while doing the first task'.

"Hey look, we've done the second one already."

I crossed it off with a smile then looked down at the next one which read as 'Go visit Zoh's mother'.

"Hey Shen, look at this."

He stepped next to me and stared at it.

"Why would we do that?"

I shrugged then turned the page around and found the note for it: 'Zoh you barely ever visit her and she is your mother so you should'.

"Why would she care if I visit my mother?"

"Ahh look this note is from Ahri. I suppose she wants you to go see your mother and sister to make sure everything is alright."

"Urgh."

A long walk later (17:00):

Me and Shen sat on the sofa attempting to not look conspicuous as my sister stared right at us. I was still wearing my armour so the sofa was tilting slightly. We both sipped our tea as my sister's attention turned to Shen. He visibly became uncomfortable at being stared at by her so he kept sipping his tea until she looked back to me.

"Why do you both wear metal?"

I looked at Shen hoping he would answer but he averted my gaze and kept sipping.

"Uh well… you see… us grown-ups we tend to… play fight I suppose… with sharp things to keep it real… and uhh this is so we don't get… hurt… and uh Santa is there and the tooth fairy too which both definitely exist so… yeah…"

"Why would Santa play fight? Shouldn't he be telling the elves what to build?"

"Santa's got free time doesn't he?"

"I don't know, there's a lot of stuff he's got to get built."

"Look just lay off alright? Santa works hard and he needs his spare time to… fight and…"

"And?"

"I don't know maybe he spends his free time banging Mrs Klaus."

Shen almost choked on his tea when I finished my sentence. It took me a moment but I did eventually figure out what I had just said and how stupid it was.

"What do you mean 'banging'? That sounds like it might hurt."

"Oh god… look, banging is… a code-word for… I don't know, watching TV or something I suppose."

Finally Shen broke in to take the heat off me for a moment:

"Look, whatever your name is, your brother is trying to explain a really complex thing to you and he doesn't quite know how."

"But isn't he supposed to be super-duper smart?"

"There's different kinds of smart. He's a technical genius but when it comes to 'banging' he really doesn't have much experience. And from what I understand he has never met Santa."

"Hey I know a decent amount about the first topic!" I interjected only for Shen to sigh and shake his head.

"Zoh you're mother has had sex with more people than you. Take that as your permission to sit this conversation out. Now, little child-thing, what Zoh is attempting to explain is, I assume, sexual intercourse."

As if on cue my mother walked in with a plate of biscuits. I face-palmed just as Shen went back to sipping his tea awkwardly.

"Mommy, what's sexual intercourse?"

My mother also face-palmed as Shen ran out of tea to sip.

I put my hand back by my side then pushed myself up off the sofa.

"Well, mum, it was nice seeing you. I think we'll just be going now before we mentally scar Megan."

"I think that will be smart for now. See you later."

Me and Shen both stepped out quickly before Megan started asking questions again. Once outside we both looked at each other and sighed.

"This is why we should never be parents." I joked.

"I think if we both avoid that, it will be a service to the world."

"Well, I suppose we should get onto the next thing." I declared while pulling the list out. I crossed the one we had just done off then looked down at the next one which required us to 'Get two flowers from the top of Mount Gargantuan'.

"REALLY?" I shouted before throwing the paper on the ground.

"Now hold on it may not be as ridiculous as it appears. Let us consult the notes." Shen reacted calmly while picking it up and checking the notes.

"Oh, well according to this the reason for the climb is 'they would look pretty in the main room'."

I glared at Shen.

"Akali likes flowers."

"Ugh! Fine! Sure! Let's just get this over with." I sighed just before Shen teleported us to the base of the mountain. According to him teleporting anywhere else on the mountain would be very dangerous. I stared up at the absolutely gigantic mountain and instantly understood where its name came from. There were no clouds but it went easily above where the highest of them would be. I couldn't even guess how tall it actually was and I didn't dare guess.

"You know what, let's do this the quick way." I sighed before pulling out a sniper rifle and taking aim up the mountain. After zooming in as far as it would go I could see a plant right at the top. The flower had all sorts of colours on it so I decided that Akali at least had good taste in flowers. I shot then waited.

A lot of waiting later (18:00):

Me and Shen were pacing back and forth when the flowers finally fell down and landed right next to us. I had managed to hit them both right at the bottom of their stems so what fell down was an almost perfect cut for putting in a jar or something.

"Ah look, they finally got down here." I announced while picking them up.

I handed them to Shen then pulled out the paper before crossing off what we had just done.

"There's a lot of other stuff on here but I can't be bothered to do anymore so let's go home."

"Yes that would be an intelligent decision."

We both teleported back to the house just as Ahri was walking back in. She noticed us then turned and smiled.

"So, you guys have an eventful day?"

"You could say that."

"And I would. I did watch the whole thing after all."

"You what?"

"Yeah. Me and Akali have watched everything you've done today. None of those things we asked you to do actually mattered, we just wanted to laugh at your attempts to do some tasks ranging from menial to near-impossible."

Both me and Shen sighed deeply then fell backwards onto the ground.

Woo, utterly useless chapter! Except for that bit at the start. That's not invalidated.
