Hello one and all! Welcome back to whatever the hell this story has become!
This may seem slightly late but it is all an illusion! You simply imagined the last few weeks! Trust me, I have no back-up for that idea.
Now then, my guess right now is that you would all like me to end my rambling but that won't happen just yet as I have an announcement. This is the first chapter that will be reviewed before its release by the user Anthropomancy. So expect fewer spelling mistakes and more sense to be made by things. It's going to be wonderful, trust me.
Also, here is the JOKE OF THE CHAPTER! WOO HAPPY FUN TIMES: Do you know why Viktor wins lane so much? Because he has the upper hand.
I can feel your cringing.
Alright I'll get on with the chapter now.
Chapter 38: Poro Problems
General POV
On one world fights were erupting everywhere in the crater that held the last remnants of a society nearing destruction. Very few people on the surface knew why they were fighting but to stop would only end in death at the hands of your allies. No-one could abandon the fight, for it could be the last of a dying planet.
In the main tent of the invader's camp, Ahri and her fellow champions fought men and women in armour which seemed indestructible. Shen and Akali could do nothing but avoid the strikes of their enemies while Ahri relied on staying out of reach and throwing her orb at every opportunity. Zoh was having a much easier time. His axe sliced through their armour as if they were wearing tin foil.
The fighting was intense on that planet. A stark contrast to Runeterra where the major powers of the world had managed to organise a day of peace across land to bury the dead and give the living a chance to remember what peace, true peace, actually was.
Even with the pacts signed and the grudges put aside, violence was still expected. Common criminals would still roam the cities and towns while rogue military units made war against tribes and those who could not defend themselves.
One man was expected above all overs to wilfully ignore the peace. He was the one who never tired of death. The red eyes that men saw before their deaths were as infamous as the sounds of metal cutting through bones, organs and flesh. There were few on the planet who would openly announce that they do not fear the day when those red eyes stared them down from a distance. Those who had were long since dead.
Yet, as the day wore on, word spread that no-one had spotted a man clad in metal with burning red eyes. The sun was dragging its way into the afternoon and not a single report had come out of an otherwise unexplainable assassination. No-one was willing to suggest that he may be dead in the open but many thought it to be possible. Rumours had gone around since he left the League that the man had come across the secret to immortality but many dismissed that. It seemed more likely that he had been killed than he had simply taken a day off. Killing was all people knew him to be able to do.
Not one person suspected that Zed was simply spending the day playing around with Zoh's more entertaining creations. Table-tennis was his favourite as it got to around three in the afternoon.
"Alright Bob, I'm going to hit the ball to you. All you have to do is hit it back to me. Okay?"
The poro stuck its tongue out and shook the paddle.
Zed furrowed his brow and served the ball. It was placed perfectly for Bob to hit it back and, for the first time that day, he did. Zed almost allowed himself to smile with relief as he hit it back again. Unfortunately, Bob didn't hit it again.
"Oh come on! You had the idea for a second there!"
Bob dropped the paddle then rolled onto his head.
"Fine! We'll do something else! Lazy bastard."
Zed dropped his paddle then went to the pile of stuff. It took him only a second to find something interesting lodged in-between something that looked edible and something that looked like it could end the universe. Which it very well could, considering the creator. Just as Zed began pulling it from the pile he noticed that something was wrong. It was not something he could see, hear nor feel but he knew that all was not as it was before.
The poro on the table felt the change just as the ninja did. It came as a deep pain to Bob's stomach, yet he somehow managed to find where it had come from. The poro ran off around the side of the mountain as Zed turned. He decided that it was something he would benefit from investigating so he started sprinting to catch up.
They had almost gone half-way around the huge mountain when Zed and Bob stopped dead in their tracks. Ahead of them was an army that stretched over the hills with an utterly massive hextech cannon in the middle of it.
Zed stared at them for a moment as Bob ran away as fast as his legs would take him. After a moment a summoner burst out through the ranks of soldiers and stomped towards Zed with a look of utter contempt on her face. Zed recognised the woman as the summoner who had got into a rather strange argument with Zoh days before. She got to the ninja and pointed right at his face, ignoring how incredibly stupid that was.
"This is what you get for having a misogynistic, racist, sexist, man-splaining, GamerGate asshole in your group!"
The ninja had yet to move what-so-ever but after a second he realised he would not be able to glare her down.
"May I ask, since when did you people leave Tumblr?"
Immediately the woman's eyes flared up and she attempted to slap Zed, only to hurt her hand on his metal face-mask.
"You didn't think that out did you?"
"You're such an bastard!" She shouted before walking back behind the front line of the soldiers. Zed sighed and rubbed his eyes then extended his blades and declared to all the soldiers within ear-shot:
"If you truly believe that you can kill me then step forward. The rest of you can either run and I'll kill you later or stand and await a clean execution. As for that weapon you have there, I think that is going to be mine pretty soon."
Surprising Zed, all the soldiers stood their ground. Moments before he was about to unleash hell the cannon started making a lot of noise and rumbling. The pitch of the rumbling got higher and higher until it was a whine that hurt the ninja's ears.
"Well that's not good." He muttered before disappearing into his shadow as the cannon fired a huge bolt of electricity which struck the mountain and completely destroyed it. Giant chunks of rock the size of skyscrapers flew from the mountain and struck the miles from where the mountain used to be. They flattened forests and swept towns away in an instant. The crater left behind where the mountain used to be was so deep it was possible to see the tectonic plates that had created the mountain over millennia. Minutes went by and rubble was still falling from the sky, smoke was still rising from the hole left behind and Zed could do nothing but watch. He was perched on a mountain far away yet the damage was still easily visible to him. What he did not expect, however, was for a huge explosion to go off seconds later. The source was somewhere in the crater but the explosion went mostly outwards. The ground around the crater shook massively and broke apart before it all got pulled into a single point. It then exploded upwards, creating a pillar of blue energy that went above the clouds. After a few seconds it became evident that the pillar was not going away, so Zed made a mental note that he had just bore witness to the creation of what would inevitably become a world wonder.
"What the hell possessed Zoh to make him think building that was a good idea?" He pondered aloud. The cannon was probably built in Piltover but the second explosion definitely came from something Zoh had made. It was far beyond anything Zed had seen on any of his visits to the city of progress.
Deciding that he had to get to the bottom of it, Zed disappeared.
Zoh POV
With a few new scrapes for my armour I returned to Runeterra with my friends. We were all a bit tired and bruised so it came as a huge disappointment when I opened my eyes to find that at some point our home had been destroyed and replaced with a crater the size of a city containing the bottom of a pillar of energy that could only have come from my failed attempt at making a toaster earlier in my life.
When I pulled my helmet off I felt the crisp, cold air on my sweaty face. There was no dust, no flames, just an empty hole in the ground and a plume of light. And the occasional rock that fell from the sky, but I didn't really want to know how that factored in to the situation. A second later Ahri burst out:
"What the fuck happened?!"
I hadn't worked it out fully yet so I was glad when Shen answered:
"It appears that the mountain where we had taken residence has been destroyed in a way which set off one of Zoh's inventions. This is likely the work of the League."
"But all my stuff was there!"
"Well, most of it. But in all fairness, Zoh lost more than the rest of us. How are you doing big guy?"
"I'm mostly just pissed off that they destroyed the pool. I liked that pool."
"It was a good pool. We should all just look at the bright side of this."
"There's a bright side?" Akali asked while pulling her face-mask down.
"The planet is still here."
"I suppose that's good."
We all stood around for a second not saying a word. I put my hands on my hips and sighed while looking around.
"So, what are we going to do?" Ahri asked while peering over the edge of the crater.
"Well it doesn't seem like we can do things the long and non-dangerous way. Guess we better gain some support from Demacia and Noxus then kick the door in at the League."
"Sounds good to me. It's getting kinda late now so we should go find an inn or something."
"Couldn't we just find one of our friend's bases or something?"
"Nah too many characters for the readers to keep track of properly."
We all shrugged then started walking to the nearest town that we could remember. It was a few miles off but we were all too done with the world to run at that point. As we got further from the scene the air got gradually hotter until it I decided it was warm enough to take my armour off. After a couple minutes of not talking I decided to lighten the mood in the only way I could think of:
"I opened a company that sells land mines that look like prayer mats. Prophets are going through the roof."
It took a second but then everyone got it and we giggled like children. Shen somehow managed to one-up me though:
"I saw this poor old woman slip and fall on some ice. At least I think she was poor, she only had 3 gold in her wallet."
Later that afternoon (19:00):
In the distance the sun was just barely holding onto the horizon, illuminating the clouds and sky above it in a glorious orange glow. It was getting late but the air was still warm and thick, though not to the degree that it was uncomfortable. The street-lights that adorned the streets of the seaside town we had happened upon were just beginning to turn on, bathing the side-walks in a weak yellow light that flickered as the flame was touched by wind. We were making our way along a street which lead down to the pier, giving us a wonderful smell of the fresh sea air. The carnival on the pier closed a few minutes before we arrived but thankfully the tavern right next to it didn't close for a few more hours.
As we approached the tavern the smell of the ocean was replaced by a thick stench of alcohol. There was no noise coming from the pub so I assumed, rightly so, that this had been a place of great merry-making earlier in the week but the landlord did not know what an air-freshener was. Fortunately, I barely noticed the smell after the long walk. I, like all my friends, just wanted to sit down and have a drink.
We were all walking side-by-side but I pulled ahead slightly to open the door for them. They all stumbled through the door, being caught off guard by a slight step down behind the door. I took note of it then took a massive step over it to be sure.
The first step into the tavern introduced me to the quaint room. It was clear that this place was very old and had not been developed considerably since its creation. Pretty much everything was made of wood from the floors to the tables. Wooden beams held the ceiling up and tables were scattered all over the place with chairs aplenty around them. Most of the chairs were knocked over or stacked on top of one another, presumably from the last time a bunch of people got pissed there. Candles were placed everywhere and paintings were hung on every wall you could see. They ranged from incredibly well done to a few clearly made by the owner's young child.
Luckily for us, the place was mostly empty. I assumed all of the usual patrons were being forced to spend the night with their significant other. My significant other and the two ninjas went and found a table while I tried to remember what they all drank. I approached the bar and made a guess:
"I'll have some whiskey, vodka for the ninja lady, lager for the male ninja and… I don't know some rum or something for the fox lady."
"I'll get the bar-boy to bring them over to you." The bar-man grumbled through his scruffy beard. I nodded then joined my friends at the table, taking a seat next so Shen. Ahri was opposite me with a smile on her face.
"You're looking cheerful."
"Well, you just managed to remember the one drink that I have yet to try. Once I've done this you'll owe me something."
"Was this a bet we made while drunk?"
Shen joined the conversation just before Ahri could reply:
"You were both incredibly drunk at the time. Remember that time you woke up on the roof?"
"Yeah."
"This bet was made just a few minutes before you passed out."
"Oh. Well, what does Ahri win?"
Shen shrugged as our drinks were delivered. I looked over to Ahri as she took a swig of her rum.
"Well?"
"Nothing too bad. I don't even think we were dating back then."
"Those were weird times."
"Yep."
We all said nothing for a second then took some synchronised sips from our drinks. My whiskey tasted quite nice but I could tell it was very strong so I wouldn't be able to have too much if I didn't want to end up on the Shadow Isles with a trident in one hand and a potato in the other.
It was silent for a minute until Akali summed up how we were all feeling:
"Today has been a bit shit. In like, every way possible."
"Absolutely. I was just getting everything how I liked it then suddenly our house gets replaced by a big hole in the ground."
"The worst part is we don't even know what happened. It was just here, then it was gone."
Perfectly on cue, Zed took a seat next to me.
"How about you allow me to enlighten you on the subject?"
I motioned for him to continue so he went on:
"To put it simply, an army came over with a massive cannon that shot our mountain which thoroughly destroyed it. That then led to something of Zoh's exploding and making the crater even bigger. I went and found out that it was all choreographed by the head of the League. He appears to have taken a special interest in us."
"I don't know if I speak for anyone else, but I'd be disappointed if he was not interested by us. Offended almost."
"That aside, what do you suppose we do about this?"
"I was thinking we could just get support from Noxus and Demacia then go beat the hell out of some summoners."
"That is precisely the wrong thing to do. He very clearly did this to try and get a response out of us. It would be wise to not give him what he wants."
"Well we have to do something. We can't just make another base and start over. This will be the height of public confusion so we have to take advantage of that."
"I know that. What we have to do is contact our friends and get them to step up their work while we take out a network of castles I discovered that supply the main League building. With them taken care of the main building will be forced to lighten up on security because they won't be able to feed the soldiers who defend it. Then our allies on the inside can take out the rest and we just have to take out the leader."
"That sounds reasonable. For now though, let's focus on drinking too much."
Zed went and got a drink then we all clinked our glasses together.
Next morning (05:30 13th June):
An irritating bird woke me up by chirping louder than any creature should be capable of chirping. The little bugger was perched on the window-sill squawking bloody murder. I looked over to Ahri who had somehow managed to stay asleep through the grating noise. I got out of bed and calmly walked over to the over side of the room to pick up a book on a small table. The ball of feathers and hate was still trying to wake up the people on the other side of the planet when I turned around with the book in hand. I lobbed it so hard that the bird was turned into jam. As a final good riddance I put my middle finger up to where it had been before promptly forgetting about it and getting dressed. At some point I had bought a dark blue suit, though I didn't remember buying it. All I did remember of the night before was getting set fire to.
Twice.
Once I was dressed I gave Ahri a kiss on the forehead then went to the door and opened it just enough to poke my head through. I looked over to Shen and Akali's room before whispering loudly:
"Hey! Shen!"
After a second his head poked through their door and looked over to me.
"Yes?"
"What happened last night?"
"We got wasted then went out into town and did some things then came back here and you paid for seven rooms."
"Why seven?"
"Two for us and five in case you needed to play dodge ball."
"That doesn't make any sense."
"Of course it doesn't, we were drunk."
"I know but damn. Drunk me sounds like a fun guy to be with."
"Drunk you is hilarious until you start singing as loudly as you can."
"I'm not a good singer…"
"Not even slightly."
"Oh well. Anyway, I have a plan."
"For what?"
"All I'll say is, it's gonna get us both points with our lady-friends who are currently sleeping behind us."
"What would I use those points for?"
"No, no… you just… I'll explain it in a moment. Get dressed then we'll begin."
Shen stepped into the hallway, fully dressed, then closed the door.
"Oh, when did you get dressed?" I questioned while doing the same.
"I slept in my clothes. Akali is at her 'time of the month' and I didn't want any of that stuff on me."
"Nasty. Ahri hasn't been through any of that as far as I know and with some luck she won't ever have to."
"It's going to happen at some point. I have a bunker high in a mountain range if you ever need it."
"From the stories I've heard, that sounds like something I'll need."
Shen nodded then continued:
"So, what was this plan of yours?"
"Essentially, we're going to sort out the perfect 'girl's day out' for them both with all the stuff that they like to do. This town is almost entirely made up of stuff for tourists and people with more money than sense so we can go around and book them in for all that then just leave them to have fun while we go do our stuff."
"What's 'our stuff'."
"Just think up stuff you like to do and we'll do it."
"This sounds like it will take a lot of time."
"We'll be having fun all day."
"Shouldn't we be, you know, winning the support of Demacia or Noxus?"
"I've sorted for our friends to do that today then we'll take over that job tomorrow. Right now we just have to make sure everyone's morale is up and all that good stuff."
Shen contemplated it for a moment then agreed:
"Fuck it, let's enjoy ourselves for a while."
"Brilliant! Let's go organise the day."
Later that morning (10:25):
A single beam of sunlight shone past the blinds as the sun made its way ever-higher into the sky. The day was just beginning to get to a comfortable temperature. It was probably not the best day to be wearing a suit, but I didn't own a pair of shorts and had no intention to.
I was sat comfortably on the sofa in the corner of the room as Ahri slept away on the bed. There was not a large choice of books in the room so I ended up reading about Paddington Bear. Which was awesome.
It was just as the smell of fresh bread reached me that Ahri began to stir. I put the book down as she sat up and rubber her eyes. After a second she looked over to me and smiled.
"Hey."
"Good morning. Sleep well?"
"Yeah. It's a lot easier to get to sleep when you're not living in a mountain."
"True."
Ahri knelt on the bed and wrapped the covers over herself then pointed at me:
"I like your new suit."
"Same here. As the saying goes, nothing looks better than a well-tailored suit."
"That's not a saying here."
"Well it should be. So are you going to get dressed or just walk around with the covers wrapped around you all day?"
"That second one sounds fun."
I shrugged then added:
"I can't deny that, I've done it before. But anyway, today is not the day for it. Me and Shen have spent the last few hours booking you and Akali in for all of your favourite activities that will last all day so that you two can have as much fun as possible to forget about that whole 'home-got-destroyed' thing."
"All of my favourite activities?"
"Yes."
"ALL of them?"
"Yes."
She raised her eyebrows at me then I got what she was hinting at.
"Oh for fu- no, not that one. I don't even know where I would go to book you in for that."
"Some sort of whore-house I assume."
"I thought those things were just in like, books and stuff. They actually exist?"
"Yeah. They're everywhere."
"I'm sure I would have seen them."
"You will have. Big 'XXX's on them, glowing outlines of men and women on them."
"Oh. My uncle always said they were just adult cinemas. That's why he would always go inside for a few hours whenever me and him went on walks and I had to stay outside."
"Yeah…."
"My life has been a lie."
"Most of it. Want to hug it out?"
"The day I say no to an offer like that is the day after I die."
We both stood up at the same time then walked over to each other. As soon as I could I wrapped my arms around her, even though she couldn't do the same as hers were holding the covers up. I gave her a kiss on the neck as she shuffled around under the covers.
"Can you let go of me for a second?"
I did as she asked and as my arms came off her so did the covers, which dropped to the ground. She was wearing lacy white panties and a matching bra. I couldn't help but stare and I didn't make any attempt to hide it. It astounded me that she was still coming up with ways to look even hotter on a daily basis.
She saw that I would have been happy to stand there and admire her for quite some time so Ahri grabbed my jacket and pulled me into a kiss. I held onto her hips as a breeze passed through the room, pushing the blinds aside and letting in a wave of sunlight. My eyes were closed but I could feel the warmth of the sun on my hands. After a second the breeze stopped and the blinds covered up the window again. Moments later Ahri pulled away then sorted out my jacket where she had been gripping it.
"You're getting quite good at this." She whispered as I took my hands off her hips.
"I've had a lot of practice."
Ahri nodded then replied while picking up her clothes:
"It would be nice if you could hold me a bit tighter though. Getting handled slightly roughly seems like something I could get behind."
I raised my eyebrow to her which made her roll her eyes and go on:
"No, I'm not going to go shopping for handcuffs and a whip."
"Good. I don't want to have to check the internet to make sure I'm not using the various tools correctly."
"Tools is a tame word for them."
"Look, I don't fully understand how that stuff goes down. All I know is I'm not going to take part in it. Other people can, but I feel like I'd just end up in space somehow."
"Now I want to see that just so we can find out how badly you can bugger something up."
I had a momentary flashback to an exploding star.
"Yeah… let's not do that." I ended while backing away then sitting on the sofa. I laid back and put my feet up on the armrest while Ahri got dressed. After a minute of struggling to get her clothes on Ahri was ready so I tried my best to get up with some grace, though I ended up nearly falling over. When I got my balance back and looked up I found that, at some point, Shen and Akali had come in. I cleared my throat then smiled:
"Are we all ready to go?"
They all nodded as Akali added:
"I was just going to sit around in my pyjamas all day before Shen told me about this so I'm excited."
"That pyjama thing definitely seems like a good idea for another day. As for now, myself and Shen will excuse ourselves and let you two enjoy yourselves."
Lunchtime (12:30):
Far above us the sun was sliding behind some of the few clouds in the sky, giving Shen the few moments of not being blinded that he needed.
"Pull!" He shouted. I instantly pulled the cord on the clay-pigeon machine which sent one of the small ceramic discs flying into the air. As the sounds of many shots went off I got back to eating my sandwich. One thing that was awkward in its absence was the sound of clay being struck by a shotgun slug.
I looked over to Shen who looked equally bewildered by his own failure.
"I must have failed to account for something. What are all the variables that could possibly be included here?"
"Uh… wind, gravity, travel time… the sight might need to be calibrated. There could be a problem with the gun for all I know. Do you want me to take a look at it?"
"I would appreciate the assistance. Guns are not my speciality."
"Give it here then."
Shen handed me the weapon so I sat down and checked it over a few times while mumbling:
"Mhmm…. Yep…. Alright I see the problem."
"What is it?"
"You're a really bad shot." I concluded while smiling up at him.
"There's no need to be rude." He retorted while snatching the gun from my hands.
"No need to get grumpy. You can't be good at everything."
"I have never desired to become good at everything. However, a gun is a weapon and I am supposed to be at least slightly proficient with all such things."
"Well, you better hit the next one then." I stated while launching another clay pigeon into the sky.
Ahri POV
The feeling of warm mud all over my body was not exactly new, but it was definitely never a positive thing before. I moved my head as much as it would go to look at Akali who was in the mud-bath next to me. We were in the only two baths in that room and all that had been left to keep us entertained was a hologram orb which was on a constant loop of League games. They looked like all the players were in bronze, and deserved to be there.
"Hey Akali."
"Yeah?"
"This is relaxing and all, but what are we actually supposed to do?"
"… I don't know."
"You'd think they would give us like, an instruction manual or something."
"I'd appreciate that right now. We can't really go ask because, I don't know about you, but I'm kinda nude right now."
"Yeah, same. Where did they put our clothes?"
"I have no idea."
"Shit."
"Yeah."
There was a brief pause as we both tried to think about what to do.
"I-spy?"
"Ahri, I'm not even nearly that desperate."
Zoh POV
It was quite warm in the massage room and it smelled of exotic flowers and candles. The only noise that punctuated the thick air of the room was a stream of quite, soothing music. I was laying down on a strange bed thing with a hole where my head went so that I could look at the ground. Shen was in the same situation, but on the other side of the room. We were both getting massaged by some Ionian ladies who both looked like they were much weaker than they actually were. I could feel my bones crack in and out of place as she dug her elbow into my back.
I wouldn't have felt awkward if the only thing keeping me decent was a towel draped over my butt.
"Shen, Argh! At what point does this AH become comfortable ARG what the eff!?"
"I gave up OW hope on that happening a ARGH while ago now."
"Ah bugger. Do we at least Ooh damn get something to keep us OUCH fu- entertained?"
"Nope."
"…"
"This was a bad ideaAahahhahhthat hurt a lot."
"I think I might cry."
"Same here." He concluded just as something clicked in my back in most painful way it could.
Ahri POV
Out in the fields beyond the town walls we had found a good spot to do some pyrotechnic stuff. There was nothing important nearby and there was only one tree within fifty metres. From what I could tell there wasn't anyone nearby so we weren't going to hurt anyone with the various explosives that Zoh and Shen had bought us.
I was hidden behind our blast-proof glass looking on as Akali set up the explosives and pottery, which I had picked out to see if it would look cool when it blew up.
After a second Akali strolled over to me, laying out detonation cord as she walked. I put on my ear-defenders while the ninja hooked up the det-cord to a detonator. Akali then put hers on and we both stared over at the arrangement. Everything appeared to be fine so I motioned for Akali to press the detonator but instead she questioned:
"Do you want me to find something to cover your fox ears?
"I'm getting used to hearing loud things…" I replied just before she pressed down the detonator with her foot. There was a large, dusty explosion that blew mud high into the air. The shockwave knocked me back slightly and made the blast-proof glass shudder slightly. Pieces of metal and pottery smashed against the glass, making tiny cracks in it.
"…Slowly." I remarked while rubbing my ears.
Zoh POV
We had been doing very unproductive things for most of the day until Shen got the idea that we could do a sexy photo-shoot and put the best ones on a calendar. There was, surprisingly, a shop in the town which specialised in exactly that kind of thing.
About half an hour into the photo shoot we had gotten to the beach volleyball photo. I was in nothing but swimming shorts and aviators while Shen had the same along with his usual mask. The photographer was standing on the side-line and we had been instructed to just play the game like usual so we did. Shortly after we had won and many photo's had been taken. Just when I thought it was all finished the camera-man's assistant strolled over and dumped a bucket of water over my head so I just put my hands on my hips and smiled. Shen got the same treatment and that signalled the end of that scene. We were about to leave when three girls and a guy walked up to us, all looking around fifteen or sixteen, with pens and paper. One of the girls spoke up first:
"Are you Zoh and Shen from the League?"
"Yeah. Can we help you with something?"
"We were just wondering if we could get your autographs? You're all of our favourite and second favourite champions."
"Sure but first you've got to tell us who's your favourite."
They all looked contemplative for a moment before I got a collective reply of:
"Shen."
I was a bit disappointed so I turned my head to Shen who was obviously smiling smugly beneath his mask.
"Why?" I asked while turning back to face the group.
"He's more about helping team-mates."
"Alright I can't deny that but who is hotter?"
Again they all appeared to be in deep thought before the guy spoke up:
"You. Slightly better body, sexy accent and we can actually see your handsome face."
I looked back to Shen with a cheesy smile, glad to see that his smug smile was gone. When I turned back to the group they were all clutching their pens and paper.
"Alright then we'll sign whatever you want us to now." I announced. Two of them stepped closer to me and the other two stepped closer to Shen. We both signed various things for them before they switched around and we did the same thing for them. Once it was all done they stepped back away and were all smiling quite a bit.
"So is there anything else we can help you with at all?"
One of the girls appeared to be struggling with whether or not to ask me something for a moment before she blurted out:
"Are you really a terrorist now?"
"Well, technically no. Not by the dictionary definition anyway. We're more like 'political dissidents' I suppose but that doesn't sound as cool."
"Why are you being 'political dissidents'?"
"It's a long story and we're in the middle of making a sexy calendar for fun so I don't really have time to answer that."
"Can you give us short rundown of it? Some of the stories the Institute of Justice has been spreading are a bit weird."
"Alright so basically the dude in charge of it now got there in a bad way and has been abusing the power a bit much and it's getting worse and worse as time goes on so we're going to get some support from people then put him in jail. Or kill him. Depends how things go but I'd rather see him rot in prison personally."
"Oh. So is that why you had to blow up that mountain?"
"No we didn't blow it up. We were on another planet at a time so it would have been exceptionally difficult to blow it up from there. The wiring is rather difficult."
"That makes sense. Kinda."
Aaaaaaand abrupt end.
This chapter took quite some time to actually write but I had the ideas for it all pretty much on day one so it was a strange thing to write it. Oh well.
All I will say is I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I hope you've had a good few weeks since the last one.
Goodbye.
