For the first time that he could ever remember he wept. He held his child for the first time and he wept. He wept for his life the fact that he nothing. That he could offer nothing and he wept for the fact that this little perfect baby boy would in turn get nothing in life because his father could offer him nothing.
He kissed the boy gently on the forehead and slowly grudgingly to the cross from around his next and hung it on the corner of his bassinet his father had given it to him so it was only right he gave it to his son. Something to remember him buy or something to sell if money was tight. Something the only thing he had to offer him.

She kissed the toddler sleeping in the car seat as she pulled away. Her dad would never speak to her again after shse stole the car but there was no way else for her to leave. No way else to forget the path and if money was tight she could always sell it.

He crouched and wept with anger over his mother his drunk high passed out mother and he wept he shouldn't have to deal with her he was fed up with being the parent with having to look out for her. Of having to deal with her problems . she said if he did one more thing wrong then she would kick him out. He was final at his limits to test that theory. Any.way he could look after himself.
She stood and wept at the mother she never got to be as she waved goodbye to her teenager. Who was angry and refused to speak to her ever again. He didn't look up from the book he was reading. Just like his deadbeat father stubborn and selfish.
