Chapter 8 – Distracted
Sunday, January 13th, 2019
I let my finger trail down his bare chest as his arms tugged me closer to him. "Good morning," he whispered into my ear-tickling it with his breath, I smiled as I tilted my eyes back to look up at him. We stayed until about ten last night at my parents' house before we came back here and spent most of the night underneath of his sheets. "Good morning," I whispered back, and he smiled as he rolled me onto my back and his lips found mine within seconds. His naked body pressed against mine and I hooked my legs around him.
"I want to wake up like this every single morning," I smiled into the kiss as he slowed it down. Suddenly, there was a big pounce on the bed. Troy groaned burying his face into my neck as Luna stared at us wagging her tail. She nudged Troy and I reached over to scratch her head. She had wedged herself between us last night in bed causing Troy frustration at one point, but I could only laugh and rub her belly. "C'mon Luna, let's go potty." Troy eased out of the covers and slid on a pair of shorts. "Don't you dare move from this bed." He whispered leaning forward, "I have plans for this morning and they don't include clothes…or dogs." I took the opportunity to see his bronze chest with defined pecs. His abs were chiseled, and that v pointed straight down towards exactly what I wanted. His body was built and defined in every single area and I just wanted to let my tongue explore every single surface of his body. He grinned as he caught me staring, "Like what you see?"
"Hmm," I snorted, and he chuckled.
I smiled as he kissed my lips before disappearing downstairs. I snuggled up with the blanket and rolled over to grab my phone. I unplugged Troy's phone and plugged mine in. I scrolled through some text messages and I rolled back over as my eyes shut again. I rolled onto my side and when the bed shifted, and his hand touched my bare arm. "What did you do with your dog?" I mumbled, and Troy let out a throaty laugh. "She's downstairs consuming peanut butter." He rolled me onto my back and his lips quickly found mine. "I don't really plan on leaving this bed today." He whispered as he let his lips move down my body. His big hands covered my breasts as he pressed soft kisses on my belly and then he hovered above me before he gave a devilish smirk up towards me.
"Troy," I warned, and he chuckled before he pressed soft kisses in between my thighs. I bit down on my lip as he gently nudged my thighs apart before his tongue disappeared causing me to gasp and tilt my hips up. "Oh, Brie, baby, I'm going to have you begging before too long." I wiggled underneath of him, but he put his other hand on my stomach to still me. He dove his tongue in and I gripped the sheets underneath of me as I tilted up again begging for more.
"You are so fucking beautiful," he whispered against my skin before he licked, flicked, and tasted every single part of me. His tongue doing all of the work and I was moaning underneath of him. Begging for him to just finish me off but it only took one more slid off his tongue before I was coming unglued. His dirty words echoing in my ear while he licked me clean. My breathing was irregular when he pulled his body back up against mine and his hardness pressed into my thigh. His pecs pressed against my breasts and I let my fingers trail over and between his abs. So well defined from hours of work and countless hours of work in the gym.
"When you scream my name," he grunted in my ear as he moved his hips over mine teasing me as I was still trying to breathe from that when he had me wanting it all over again. "Fuck, Gabi, you make me want to quit my job and just do this every day. To lay in bed with you and hear your moans and they are from me." He continued to drag himself up and down my center. My head tilting back as he found my neck and devoured it with kisses. "You know, those boys gave me a fucking ton of shit." I couldn't stop my giggle this time, "I have a feeling I should just do the same to you."
"Go for it," he chuckled as his lips instead pressed delicate, soft, kisses on my neck. His tongue dragging down to my collar bone. Troy finally reached over for his nightstand and tugged it open before pulling out a condom. It took it from his hands and his blue orbs held mine and he raised an eyebrow. I opened the foil packet and quickly rolled it onto his thick shaft between us. His eyes absolutely never leaving mine as his breathing grew deep while I worked it over him.
Troy sank into me only moments later causing him a groan of satisfaction. "Fuck," he whispered as he made our hips meet and I groaned with him filling me. Troy put Brad to fucking shame when it came to sex. Brad could barely get me off in an entire hour if he was able to even do that. With Troy? Holy fuck, if he wasn't on orgasm number four with me by the end of an hour, he was disappointed. He knew what the fuck he was doing. God Bless him.
He moved my legs to allow more leverage and his thrusts were deep as I tilted my hips back to allow him to meet my needs. His needs. All of our needs. "Gabi," he breathed my name out and moved faster and faster. His breathing irregular and panting heavily as we moved our bodies together. "Troy," his name came out as a plea and he reached between us, and with one flick he sent me spiraling over the edge. His own body falling close behind as he uncrumpled my legs from his shoulder and then collapsed down on top of me. He pushed most of his weight off of me but I pulled him down all the way and he grunted.
"I'm going to crush you." He whispered into my ear and I shook my head as I tucked my body into him. He rolled onto his side and he pressed a kiss into my forehead. He kept his lips there for a moment before he rolled out of the bed as he disposed of the condom. He quickly was crawling back into the bed as he pulled me flush against his body. Neither of us spoke while we were waiting for our breathing and heart rates to return to normal.
His eyes fell closed and I wrapped my hands through his. "This is a good morning," he whispered, and I laughed as I felt his lips touch my ear again. "You're so beautiful," he whispered into my ear and I smiled, "You're pretty handsome yourself," Troy chuckled, and he twisted me onto the back. His blue eyes took me in and a smile crossed his face. His finger trailed down my face and he let his finger drop to my neck. "Did you call me Brie earlier?" I asked him after a few moments and Troy's face tinted red. "Yea, it slipped. I mean, Gabriella…" I couldn't stop my smile. "Everybody always just calls me Ella or Gabi." I told him, "It really just slipped." Troy mentioned, and I shook my head.
"No, I really like it. It's different. Unique. I feel as if I am starting over anyway. A whole new life. I have been with Brad for so long and now losing my sister. It's like a refreshing start with our relationship and maybe I need a new nickname. It's just light and fun." Troy let a tiny smile cross his face, "Then you'll be my Brie," he bent down and his lips buried against mine again. Troy's phone then started to go off on the other side of his bed. "Fuck," he dragged out as he quickly palmed for his phone and pulled it towards his ear.
"What?" he spat, and I laughed gently into his side as Troy gripped his phone. Troy let out a long groan, "Man, I don't know. I'm not sure I am going to make it today." Troy said as he took his free hand that was wrapped around my body to rub the bridge of his nose. "Dude," I heard through the phone and Troy grunted, "Gabi is not in my bed." Troy tried to hide, and I giggled, and he covered my mouth. I couldn't stop my laugh.
Troy just rolled his eyes, "We'll be over at 12:30. Not a damn minute sooner." Troy dropped his phone on his chest and I kissed his shoulder. "Football Sunday?" I questioned, and Troy just nodded his head, "Sadly." He responded, and he tucked me back against his body again. He set an alarm on his phone for 11:30. Only another hour in this bed together. "An hour?" I questioned, and Troy pressed his lips to my neck and then the corner of my lips. "You're taking a shower with me."
I giggled, and he closed his eyes to the sound, "I love that sound."
My eyes closed, and I just snuggled closer to him. A scratch at the door had Troy groaning before he rolled out of bed and Luna came bounding into the room. She jumped onto the bed and wiggled between us again. "Luna, down," Troy said, and she just stared up at him while I couldn't resist to rub her belly. "Gabi," Troy warned, and I laughed as I snuggled up with Luna and she licked my face. Troy groaned before laying back down into bed. Luna separated us, and Troy rolled his eyes.
"Luna," Troy said again, and he gently shoved her, and she huffed at him. She moved and laid down at the end of the bed as Troy was quick to dive and pull me close to him. I laughed as Luna wagged her tail. "If she gets to kiss you, I get to kiss you about fifty times more." I rolled my eyes as he planted kisses all over my face. Troy laughed in my ear the more I laughed as his wet kisses traveled over me. His hands holding my face. Luna was soon barking at the two of us rolling causing both of us to laugh harder.
Troy stopped as our breathing was heavy again and those lust-filled eyes focused on my lips. "So beautiful," he whispered, and I closed my eyes as he kissed me. It was soft and slow. He stopped and held me close to his body. "I loved your family last night," he finally said, and I exhaled, "They were pretty great last night. You were amazing with Blaine and Lucy." Troy intertwined our legs as he exhaled, "They are pretty cool. Blaine is really, really good at basketball."
"I heard you trying to convince him to switch sides." Troy laughed and nodded, "Yea, I was." He kissed me again, "And Lucy?" Troy just grinned with a tiny shrug, "She's cute." I smiled, "You'll be a really, really, good dad one day." Troy shifted uncomfortable underneath of me, "That wasn't supposed to mean anything," I quickly added. "I just…you were really, really good with both of them last night. Brad never even attempted to get to know them."
Troy exhaled and pressed his lips to the crown of my head. "I know, I didn't mean to get weird. I just…I've never thought about kids before." I smiled, "That's definitely too early for that conversation." I whispered, and he laughed quietly. His hands slid down my body and he bit on his lip, "If anything were to ever happen and you landed pregnant…" Troy started, "And trust me…I'm careful as fuck. Are you on birth control?" I laughed, and I nodded, "Yea, I am. Shouldn't we have had this conversation a while ago?" Troy cracked a wide boyish grin with a swift nod, "Probably but good. Don't stop and I'll keep using condoms but if some weird something happened, and you did get pregnant…I'd be lucky to have a kid with you which is really fucking weird to say but there are just some people you are like…yea, no, I never would have a kid with them." I couldn't stop my laugh as I nodded. "Yea, I wouldn't want to have kids with Brad."
"There a few girls that I've been with and seen Dylan with and I'm like fucking yikes." I couldn't stop my laugh again and Troy laid another kiss on my head. "I see us doing big things together though, Gabs. I do." I couldn't stop my smile as we were both quiet for a few moments.
"Do you want to meet my family soon?" Troy asked, and I smiled, "Yes, I would love too." Troy laced our fingers together while Luna looked happily at both of us. She wagged his tail and Troy laughed at her. "She loves you in this bed." I kissed his hand, "I love being in this bed."
Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019
I pushed the button into the building as it buzzed, "How may I help you?" the static buzzed as I looked at the camera, "I'm here for a presentation for Troy Bolton." I told her, "We'll buzz you in," the door buzzed, and I pulled it open as I went to the front office. A bored old lady glanced at me as I peered down at my black pencil skirt with a cream blouse that was sleeveless with a high neckline. My black blazer covered my shoulders with a diamond necklace that was Zoey's across my neck. A pair of diamond studs in my ears with black pointy heels on my feet.
"Sign in here," she said shoving the book over to me and I raised an eyebrow as I signed my name into the book. She shoved a blue badge across with the Knights logo across the top with Guest boldly written across the middle. "Bryson, will you please escort Miss. Montez down to Coach Bolton's room." My eyes took in the tall male, who looked familiar, stood up at the desk as he eyed me suspiciously. We walked out of the office as Bryson eyed me again and I suddenly knew how I recognized him. He was on the basketball team.
"What are you here presenting on? I'm in Coach B's next hour." He said Troy had his government class and a free period the first two hours of his block schedule leaving me here to have lunch with him and then present in his last two classes of the day. "I'm a marketing manager at a local firm. T…Mr. Bolton contacted me about giving a presentation." I said with a simple shrug and Bryson narrowed his eyes towards me as we took the familiar route to Troy's classroom.
"You're here awful early," he accused, and I bit down on my lip, "He told me to come at this time." I repeated, and Bryson stopped in the hallway as I continued to walk taking a left turn down a hallway. "How do you know where his classroom is?" I stopped, "I don't know," I blinked at the young man after I just lied to him. Bryson let a shit-eating grin across his face, I was busted. "I thought I recognized you from one of our games that you sat behind the bench." I sighed, and Bryson basically skipped to Troy's class.
He yanked the door open, "Yo, Coach B, you didn't tell me your girlfriend was the one giving us a presentation." Troy looked up alert as his eyes connected with mine, he wanted to smile but his eyes filled with want almost immediately as he took in my outfit today. "Bryson," Troy said shifting his attention to him. "How did you figure out she was my girlfriend?" he asked turning his head and I laughed as I walked into his classroom. "One: she knew how to get to your classroom. Two: I recognized her from behind the bench. Three: She called you Troy." Troy rolled his eyes, "Actually," I stated, "I started to call you Troy and I redirected to Mr. Bolton."
Troy yanked open his desk and he tossed Bryson a $20 bill. "Keep your mouth shut during class. If you don't then I will make you run at practice and give me the twenty bucks back." Troy warned, and Bryson grinned from ear to ear. "You da best, Coach." Troy grunted underneath his breath, "Bryson, go back to the office. I'll see you next hour." Bryson basically skipped out of the classroom as I turned back towards Troy. His eyes snapped to mine and he stood up and I finally caught a glimpse of him.
My mouth shifted as he was in a pair of navy pants with a white striped button-up shirt that had the top two buttons undone. A brown belt looped through his pants and the same brown shoes on his feet. Holy panty dropper. He was damn gorgeous. "Damn, B, is that how you dress for work every day because…" he came closer as he tugged on my black jacket to pull me closer. His lips lowered to mine and I smelled his cologne that was like a fucking drug. Jesus.
"Me? Let's talk about fucking you. Jesus, Troy, how many teenage girls come begging for extra credit?" Troy let out a loud laugh as I let my hands run down his side. His sleeves were rolled up to his midarm to show off his muscular arms, all of those veins popping against the surface. I let my hand squeeze the back of his neck. "How have you been?" Troy asked as he tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Good," I told him, and I honestly have had a good couple of days. Troy was out of town for a basketball tournament all weekend and I had two late meetings yesterday.
I was sad that this was the first chance I was able to see him since last Wednesday. "How was dinner on Sunday with your family?" Troy asked as he began to pull food out from underneath of his desk as he pulled up a chair for me. "Good. They asked about you and I told them that you would be around next week. Did your family decide on a day?" Troy smiled, "Saturday afternoon. My mom wants to do a late lunch. It worked for most of our schedules." I smiled, "It sounds like a good time. Also, your basketball players are really observant."
Troy groaned, "The whole team will know by the end of the day and then tomorrow when I have more of the team…it'll be a joke and I will be broke." I laughed as he reached over, and his thumb cherished my knee. "You're fucking beautiful," he whispered leaning closer to me. "Will you please come over to my place tonight wearing this, so I can damn take it off of you?" I laughed and nodded, "Yes, I miss you a ton." Troy smiled, and he grimaced, "I have a meeting after school, so I had to push practice back. I won't be back till late, but I promise to make it up to you." He raised three fingers and my face blushed a deep red. A grin stretched across his face and he laughed as he kissed me again.
"Four and you have a deal," I bargained, and Troy chuckled as he leaned forward, "Testing my skills tonight," I raised my eyebrow with a smug smirk on my face. "Oh baby, I think you can do it." I slid my hands up his chest and he grunted. We both ate our food as we caught up over the week. He had a game tomorrow night, Blaine on Thursday. Troy licked his lower lip and I looked at him. He just shook his head as he glanced at the clock. "I'm not sure how I am going to make it through two classes without pulling you into a fucking bathroom to start the countdown." I giggled at him and he shook his head, "I'm in deep trouble."
Troy's POV
I was supposed to make a fucking pop-quiz over her presentation but for the fucking life of me I couldn't get my eyes to stop staring at her. I couldn't get them to leave her beautiful plump lips, I couldn't get them to leave her breast that was on fucking show it felt like, and I sure as fuck couldn't leave her legs. I had no fucking clue what was coming out of her mouth right now. Not one damn clue. She had made a really good presentation, I think, over her work but I just…that cream blouse on her tan skin that when she moved her arms up high it rose up to show that bare tan skin.
She moved easily in her heels and she looked happy as she talked about her work. I could only feel Bryson's eyes in the side of my head as I finally drifted over and looked at him. He was smirking at me and I rolled my eyes before I looked back at Gabi and I slipped my phone out of my desk as I turned my back to the class. I pulled up a group chat with Jax and Cameron.
Troy: Please fucking come help me. Gabi is doing a presentation for these next two blocks and she is going to fucking kill me slowly.
My eyes took her in again as that pencil skirt framed her beautiful legs and her hair was beautifully pinned half up and half down. My phone buzzed in my lap and I looked down at it to see that Jax only sent back laughing emojis and Cameron sent an actual help.
Cameron: I'll be down in like two minutes. I need to see you wiggle in your seat trying to hide your boner from your class.
I bit down on my lip because he wasn't wrong. Gabi flickered slides and she looked across the classroom before her eyes landed on me. Her lip grazed across her lower lip and bit down on it. Jesus. Is that what me running my hands through my hair does for her because she's going to have to stop doing that. I shifted in my chair as one of the kids started talking. "Stop talking," I snapped rolling my chair to look at them. Bryson struggled to hold in a laugh as I hated having the basketball team in my classes and they all loved to take my class. They knew me too well and I knew them too well. They were like my children here and I never knew how to not be biased to them.
"Bryson," I warned, and he lost his smile before looking back at Gabi. The door then propped open as Cameron came strolling into the room. He grinned looking at Gabi as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, "Sorry to interrupt, I need to borrow Coach for a minute." Gabi shifted her gaze to me and I just shook my head. "No, you can come over here," I said, and Cameron rolled his lips together with a chuckle escaping his mouth. He came over and plopped down on a chair by my desk that Gabi was sitting in earlier.
"Dude," he whispered, and I just shot him a look as he chuckled, "Ah yes, I understand why you can't get up. She is quite the show up there. How do you think Bryson feels?" He raised an eyebrow and my face paled. Tomorrow she's coming in a muumuu. I grumbled as he looked at Gabi and I shoved a notepad towards him. "Make a pop quiz for me. I can't focus on anything but her damn mouth." I whispered quietly; Cameron let out a louder chuckle as he shook his head. "Just promise a good night for her and she'll make it for you." I raised my eyebrow, "Uh…well…I already promised that if she would just come over tonight. I haven't seen her since Wednesday."
Cameron smirked as he tilted back to watch Gabi for a minute. She took a few questions as I tried to focus on the actual words, she was speaking but I was struggling. "Mr. Bolton," my head snapped at the sound that left her lips. Her brown eyes pulling me in as I swallowed hard, "How many marketing classes did you take in college?" My tongue was like fucking sandpaper in my mouth. I lifted a brow to face her and I responded, "7 or 8, it was my minor." I finally replied to her. I did like Marketing in college, I certainly like it a whole bunch more now. Gabi grinned, "So you'll be able to help." She clarified, and I gave her a look as she smiled.
"I'm going to have you guys look some marketing presentations that you are able to find and then we'll discuss the good and the bad of them all." She proposed to the students, "I want to see if you know how to spot good marketing vs. bad marketing. Hopefully, Coach Bolton will be able to help us out in identifying the good and the bad." She paused as the kids all began to retrieve their MacBook's that the school district provides. "I'll give you about fifteen minutes."
She let them go to work as she noted the time before moving towards my desk. Those hips taunting. "Cameron," she greeted as she took a sip of her water sitting on my desk. "Hey Gabs," he grinned, and I just rolled my eyes. "You are putting him in quite the tailspin," Cameron said as he kicked his feet up onto my desk. "Cameron," I hissed under my breath and Gabi just fucking grins from ear to ear. "Oh, trust me, I'm pretty sure he has no clue what I said up there."
I frowned, "I do too." I protested, and she raised her eyebrows towards me. "Then you know I told the entire class that we are together?" My face paled and she laughed, "Just kidding. You really didn't pay attention." I grunted from her words as my eyes surveyed the class in front of me. Cameron just laughed as Gabi smirked as she put one hand on her hip. "Coach William…what are you doing?" Bryson asked as he came up to the desk. "Came to see Coach B…" Bryson grinned, "Coach B and his…" he leaned in really close, "Girlfriend?" Cameron hooted with laughter as I just shook my head. I pushed off the chair to get up as I felt her eyes on top of me.
"Bryson, go back and do what Miss. Montez asked you to do." I said nudging my head and he just rolled his eyes disappearing back to his seat. I walked around the students making sure they were actually doing what they were supposed to be doing. Most of them were and the few I had to redirect had a tab open already. My eyes went back to Gabi who was chatting with Cameron, a smile on her face as they discussed something.
Damn, I missed her while I was gone.
Gabi looked up at the clock and brought the class back. She asked for volunteers and they all displayed on my screen what they had found. Gabi was able to inform the good and bad about each campaign. What she would have done differently herself and then she asked for my own advice. My advice was stupid compared to hers, but the class was able to work together to find the best one that was found among the class.
Once the bell rang, they all scattered, and I knew I only had minutes before students were walking back in here for the last hour. Cameron smirked, "I'll distract at the door." He motioned standing up and I watched him walk to the door before I had her pulled into my lap, my lips devouring hers, "Brie, baby, you're hot as fuck." She laughed in my mouth as she kissed me again. "Can't focus?" she whispered as she let her hands sneak up my hair.
"Oh no…I absolutely cannot. Those lips…are so fucking perfect." My lips found hers again and she pressed back gently, "We still have another one." She reminded me, and I grunted out my displeasure that I couldn't just lock the door and her in my room. "Fine, but…if you make a pop quiz for me, I'll throw in the fourth." She giggled and sealed the deal with the kiss.
Gabi's POV
Troy gave me a key to his house so that I could come over whenever I wanted and that he wouldn't be home until almost eight-thirty. Little did he know, I came straight here after leaving his classroom. I only made a detour home for clothes to wear tomorrow and to grab my make-up bag. I also snuck in some work-out clothes so that I could take Luna on a walk before he got home. Yet, I knew I had to return to my outfit from earlier today because he seemed to have some strong fantasies all day. I entered his house and I heard Luna pop-up in her kennel.
My eyes peered into his laundry room as I walked in to see clothes everywhere. I then took in a dirty kitchen with dishes piled up in the sink. His living room wasn't in too bad of shape but just a few things needed to be picked up. I could only imagine what his bedroom looked like. Spending a weekend away from home and then being in the thick of basketball season was probably slowing him on cleaning around the house. I shook my head at him as I looked into his dryer to see half a load sitting inside. I went ahead to re-fluff it while I kicked off my heels. I walked across the room to see Luna wagging her tail with her tongue hanging out of her mouth. "Hi, sweet girl," I said unlatching her cage and she bounced out. Her paws hitting the floor as she went up and down with excitement.
"Let me change and then we will go on a walk or run," I told her as she followed me around. I changed in his bathroom while I slipped on my sneakers. Luna gave me a bath as I giggled while rubbing her thick fur. "C'mon, let's go change your daddy's laundry and then we can go." I led her through the house as I started another load of laundry as his washer was empty. I then grabbed Luna's leash as she freaked out running for the door.
I chuckled watching her as I hooked it onto her collar as we bolted outside. She quickly went to the restroom and was literally bouncing as I walked with her until she tugged a little bit and I realized that Troy must actually run with her. I happily switched, and she did much better with a running pace as she zagged back and forth trying to smell everything. I formed a route in my head as I didn't turn around until she started to slow down. When we turned around by the time, we got to the house she settled in the grass panting.
"C'mon Luna, we need to go get you a drink." I told her as she followed me into the house. She quickly went for her water bowl before sliding down onto the floor. I did his dishes and when his washer buzzed, I happily switched over the laundry again. I started another load as I picked up his mail scattered around the kitchen island. I washed off his counters and then peered through his pantry and fridge to see what I could make us for dinner.
I settled on chicken breasts with rice and steamed carrots. I slowly began to prepare that when my phone buzzed next to me, "Hello," I answered as Luna was laying underneath my feet as I continued to make dinner. "Hi, where are you?" Jenna's voice echoed from the other end of the phone. "I'm at Troy's," I told her hoping she didn't want to hang out tonight. "Oh…I was hoping to see your face." I smiled, "We saw each other yesterday," I reminded her, "And Troy and I haven't seen each other in six days."
"Whoa, that's a lot for you two." I shook my head, "Yea, I know. I'm cleaning up his place right now. He was out of town all weekend and then thrown into basketball once he got back. His house is a disaster." I remarked as it was coming together but it still needed more work. His floors needed to be swept mostly because of Luna's hair. "What a great girlfriend," I smiled, "I really like him, Jenna." She chuckled, "I could have told you that."
I let a smile play on my lips as the dryer buzzed again. "Tomorrow right after work? Troy has a game at 7." I offered, and she sighed, "Yea, we can have an early dinner." She said, and I nodded as I hung up the phone with her. I put our food in the oven before I went to hang up his clothes and start another load in the washer. The laundry had been reduced plentiful as you could see his floor and he had washed underwear. I took in the different types of boxer briefs sitting in front of me that I folded for him. Calvin Klein and Adidas were the top runner with a few different pairs of jockey thrown in.
I picked up the living room of Luna's toys and folded blankets. I played ball with Luna who didn't have too much interest as she was still pretty tired from our run as I glanced down at my clothes. I was in zero mood to change back into my clothes from earlier, but I smiled as I knew of a way to let it fly for tonight. I glanced at my phone to see it was right at 8:30 when the garage door opened. I poured myself a glass of wine.
"Luna…who's here?" I whispered to her and she let her ears rise before hopping towards the door. Troy walked into the laundry room and he glanced around, and I saw his eyebrows knit together at the machines running in the background. Luna greeted him jumping up as he was in a pair of basketball shorts with a grey t-shirt that still had sweat spots on it. His Nike tennis shoes untied on his feet with his laces sticking out. He greeted Luna but when his confused face finally met mine, he turned his head. "Did you do my laundry?" I just nodded as I took a sip of wine and Troy inhaled. "Did you cook dinner?" he asked, and I nodded again with a tiny smile surfacing at the edge of my lips.
Troy finally walked into the kitchen as he put his backpack down on the kitchen counter as he surveyed the entire place. "You cleaned my entire first floor." He observed, and I just nodded, his blue eyes found mine and all I saw was a whole lotta want. Those blue eyes were storming with complete need and desire but also thankfulness. "Luna and I also went on a run so she's pretty tired. Played some ball," Troy looked at Luna and then back up to me as he took four steps around the counter and he pinned me against it. "Jesus, Brie," he whispered, "First, you come into my classroom looking sexy as fucking hell. Those heels and that blouse on you…I was having a hard time controlling myself." I smiled as his breath hit my face causing goosebumps to travel down my back. "Then you leave and come to my house to wash my clothes, cook me dinner, and clean my house while also exercising my super hyper dog?" He groaned as his hands slid up my body, "Thank you, I don't know how in the fuck I'm going to repay you. I'm the fucking luckiest guy out there," I could barely breathe with him so close to me, "Running Luna? That was to my benefit," I whispered, and Troy chuckled, "How is that?"
"You promised me three."
Troy laughed as he finally slid his lips over mine and he tugged me close to his body. "So, fucking lucky," he claimed my lips with his and a tiny nibble of my bottom lip had me breathless. Troy pulled back and he smiled, "Seriously, thank you, so much. I was out of underwear and my house was a fucking disaster." I just nodded, "You've been amazing to me and it was the least I could do. Dinner should be almost done." Troy grunted, "I don't know if I am going to make it to dinner," he whispered pulling our hips flush together and I grinned, my eyes flickered back to the clock to see we had twenty minutes as I wormed my hands into his shorts.
"Gabi," he warned as he bit down on his lip and I giggled while I eased his shorts down with his boxer briefs. It took one lick of my tongue for him to curse and grip the counter. "I'm about to make this day unforgettable," I whispered tilting my head back to look at him and he hummed with agreement.
Troy Bolton was never going to forget this night.
Troy rubbed his chin over my shoulder and he smiled, "What a fucking night." I giggled as I curled into his body as I just wanted to be close to him. I only ever wanted to be closer to him. "You held your end of the deal," I approved, and he chuckled into my hair as his fingers found mine and we just laid together. Luna was passed out on the floor after Troy let her in after our last time. We both had to go to work in the morning but neither of us had the heart to actually fall asleep and end this night.
"What made you do everything? You know you didn't have to do that, but I really do appreciate it. I'll treat you to a great date on Sunday." I smiled as I rubbed his shoulder. "I just walked in and my only real plan was to take care of Luna. I didn't want her to be wound up when this is all I wanted to do." I suggested causing Troy to smirk as he let his hand run over my back. His large palm resting against me while he twirled my hair around his finger.
"Yet, when I walked in, I saw all of your dirty laundry and it didn't look like you were choosing to ignore it but simply just didn't have time. I know how that happens, so I just wanted to be helpful and I had nothing else to do. I know you know how to do your own laundry so…it doesn't scare me to help you." His lips pressed into my temple, "You're amazing," he whispered, and I just held onto him. "I can't wait for you to meet my family," Troy said holding my hand. "Do they go to your games?" I asked him, and he nodded, "Yea, not all the time. Macken is in school still so she isn't around too much but she will be here this weekend with her boyfriend, Silas."
"Silas, what a name." I mentioned, and Troy rubbed my arm gently, "Yea, he's pretty cool. They have been dating for four years and are only 20." Troy's thumb stroked my skin gently, "Brady is dating a girl he met in college. Ada," Troy drew a picture on my skin with the tip of his finger, slowly and carefully. "Brady has talked to me several times about taking the next step with her. He's afraid he is too young, but they are really a good match for each other. I love Ada,"
"I can't wait to meet them," I told Troy and he kissed the top of my head again. His legs tangled with mine and I sighed softly, "I'm excited to watch you Coach tomorrow night. I really, really love watching you." Troy shifted, and he pinned me back against the mattress gently. His blue eyes searched mine as if he was looking for answers. "We have only known each other for six fucking weeks and I just…I just am falling so fucking hard for you." He whispered into my ear. "You walked into my life and turned it upside down so fast. You make me so happy every day. Then you come here and do everything you did today. Then you tell me you love watching me coach…" he shook his head and my stomach tingled with butterflies as tears filled my eyes.
"You saved my life," I whispered up towards him and his blue eyes took a serious concern through them as he looked at me. His thumb gently stroked my cheek and I bit down hard on my lip as I had to figure out how to explain myself. "I was so sad, so lost, so unhappy with my life. Yes, I am still sad. Yes, I still have my days where everything hurts. But I smile more than I cry anymore. I don't feel this overwhelming need to cry every single day. You are a light spot to my life and I can't fucking thank you enough for being at that game that day. I can't thank you enough for holding me on my bad days. I will never be able to thank you enough."
His thumb brushed away the tears that fell and his lips covered mine, "Oh…" I paused as I wanted to lighten the subject as I gently pushed him backward. "I have something to make up for the fact that I didn't wear the outfit I wore all day today." Troy raised an eyebrow and I giggled, "You'll just have to wait and see tomorrow. You can rip it off after the basketball game." Troy grunted and he rested his forehead against mine. "So, fucking beautiful and so very much mine."
The words echoed in my head over and over again: mine.

Troy's POV
I changed into my suit in my office as I tugged on the jacket and brushed my fingers through my hair. To say that I was sexually frustrated after watching my girlfriend, who surprised the hell out of me yesterday, prance around in a navy-blue dress that pressed her breasts together. A cream blazer over top but in between classes, she shook it off to show me those breasts that were on display. For me. All-day it was teasing and as soon as she left, I ran home to take Luna to my mom's house for the night because they weren't coming to a game until next week.
"Coach B," Tanner leaned into my office and I raised an eyebrow, "Heard your girlfriend was the presenter in our class today," I rolled my lips together and I looked at Tanner as I saw Shawn and Xavier peering over his shoulder. "Where did you get that information from?" I asked as I tilted my head back to watch their reaction. My eyes searched for Bryson in the locker room, but I came up empty. "Bryson, he told us yesterday at practice but swore that we couldn't say anything until after school today. So here we are."
I rolled my eyes but at least Bryson waited until today to give up my secret to the entire school. Gabi definitely wasn't coming back anymore because of the show she put on today. My dick couldn't handle it. Jax joined me today and he just fucking laughed because he knew. "Yea, that's my girlfriend," I answered as I tied my dress shoes and all three boys grinned from ear to ear. "Coach B," Xavier said with wide eyes and I just rolled my own this time.
"She's freaking…" I raised my eyebrows towards all three boys, "Be careful how you finish that sentence." I warned quickly, "She's my girlfriend and not somebody who we are going to talk about like that." Shawn went wide-eyed himself but he just grinned, "You did good, Coach B, you did well." I couldn't help but let a smile cross my face this time. "She's damn beautiful, she'll be here tonight. Yall better be nice to her." They just nodded as they disappeared out towards the court. I followed them as I surveyed the filling stands for our varsity game. JV just finished about five minutes ago, so the varsity team was warming up. Cameron and Dylan were rebounding. Jax was warming up the other half while Jesse was writing in the gamebook.
My eyes surveyed the stands before I came across Gabi sitting with Jenna and in my own surprise, Blaine. I walked across the court and leaned over the back of our bench. Gabi let a wide grin splash across her lips as she was still in that same fucking dress. I couldn't wait to get it off of her tonight. "Hey Brie," I leaned across to press my lips to hers and she pulled back a little surprised. "Cats out of the bag. Bryson told the entire team." Gabi giggled as I looked over at Jenna. "Jenna, it's a pleasure to see you again." My eyes shifted to Blaine as I smirked, "Come to watch a good team?" I asked, and Blaine chuckled.
"If I remember right, we beat you guys. I am just hear to scout, so I can make this next beating a bit worse." Gabi and Jenna laughed as I chuckled underneath of my breath. "I deserved that," I said with a laugh and he reached across. "Go get'em, Coach B," I smiled as I looked at Gabs again while I winked at her. "After the game?" I asked, and she nodded, "Yea, I have to take Blaine home."
"I have to pick up Luna," I said with a nod as it would work out, "I'll pick up a pizza." I told her, and she smiled with a nod, "Troy," I heard the whistles and I nodded as I squeezed her hand before I pulled away. "Good luck, T!" she called, and my stomach filled with butterflies. It had been a long time since somebody had wished me luck. I went to the coach's meeting as Bryson and Harrison were my two captains for this season. We did the normal rules and shaking of hands as I stuffed my hands into my suit pockets.
Once we were dismissed, I picked up my water and I observed the team warm-up doing their typical thing. Cameron and Jax stood on the other side of me. "You ready for this?" I nodded my head as I tilted my head to see the last-place team in our division on the other side. "Yea, I definitely am. I have a hot date tonight." Cameron and Jax swung their eyes to Gabi, "Damn, she's teasing you with that dress." I grunted and they both laughed. "Bolton, have you seen what she's wearing?" Dylan asked coming up to us. "Yes, yes, she already knows I have big, big plans on taking that dress off of her later tonight."
"Better get a win to make tonight ten times better." I laughed as we all did our fist bumps before I had my starters all sit around as I drew up the first play. I zoned in and I looked at all five of them. A happiness filled me as I capped my marker and the five starters were announced in our home gym. It was going to be a really good night.
Gabi's POV
Troy called a play from the bench as he watched it unfold in front of him. His eyes never losing track of the ball and when his team turned it over a frown of disappointment filled his eyes. He shook his head as he yelled at them to get into the correct defense. They may have been winning by fifteen, but Troy wasn't taking it too easy on the other team. Blaine was watching intently as they too hard destroyed this team earlier in the season.
Blaine had called me after I left Troy's school to see what I was doing tonight and when I told him he asked to tag along. I agreed because I knew he might just need an out, but it was nice to see him just relax and watch a basketball game for the first time in a really long time. I looked over at him and he was just watching the game. "You okay?" I asked him, and he nodded his head, "Yea, I'm just…tired." I squeezed his knee. "If you need a break from the house. You know you are always welcome at my apartment."
Blaine squeezed his eyes shut, "You have plans with Troy tonight," I shook my head, "No, you come first. You always come first." I reminded him, and he exhaled as I could see him struggling. "I'll talk to your dad after the game. Come just relax and sleep at my apartment for the night. Okay? I want you to feel safe and for you to get a night full of sleep. You do look really tired Blaine. How is Lucy doing?" I asked and he sighed, "She's doing okay. Not nearly as many nightmares but I'm just not sleeping well. I just lay awake in the house."
"Just come stay with me for the night, okay?" he nodded his head and he watched as Troy called a time-out. "I'm sorry, I don't want to ruin your plans with Troy tonight." I shook my head, "He will absolutely understand. He's going to ask most likely if he can come to stay the night too. He cares about you as well but if you aren't comfortable with that." Blaine narrowed his eyes towards me and I knew where his teenage brain went. "No," I said with a laugh, "No. I would never do that with you there. I'm your aunt and that's gross." Blaine chuckled, "I don't care. I like him." I smiled, I leaned against Blaine, "I like him too, but I love you." I whispered, and Blaine smiled towards me.
"I'm sorry how hard these past few months have been." I told him, and he shrugged his shoulders, "I've been seeing the same counselor as Lucy and it's been helping." He said but I watched as Troy directed his team through the final few minutes of the game. Jenna had left after half time promising to call later. "I'm glad, Blaine. I think I should probably go talk to somebody too because of just everything. Troy helped a lot but it's still hard. Nobody thinks you have to be okay with this yet, but I am happy to see you still doing things you love." He just nodded his head as the game ended within the next five minutes as the Knights came out on top.
Troy and everybody shook hands as they disappeared to the locker room. "C'mon, let's go call your dad." I took him to a quiet area of the gym and I called James. He answered on the third ring, "Hey," James voice was foggy, and I knew he had been drinking from the moment he answered. I was a little surprised and my heart broke. James had to be the biggest one struggling through all of this. "Are you okay, James?" I asked quietly, and I turned away from Blaine.
This must be why he has been staying up. For Lucy.
Anger filled my system because Blaine didn't deserve to do this. He shouldn't have to be there for Lucy. Her dad should do that but if this was a nightly occurrence until he passed out…I swallowed on the large lump in my throat. "I think I am going to come to get Lucy and keep her and Blaine for the night. I'll get them both to school tomorrow. Blaine said he has been struggling to sleep and it sounds like you need the night off." My voice was low and quiet.
"I can take care of my kids, Gabi." I chewed on my lip, "No. James, I think you need a break. I can take them. I will just swing by to get Lucy." I said again a little bit firmer and he just chuckled, "Whatever," he finally muttered and hung up the phone. Tears filled my eyes and I turned towards Blaine as I blinked a couple of times. His face shifted, and he looked down at the ground. "Blaine, sweetie, how long has this been happening?" I whispered, and he tried to control the bob in his throat. "The last month or so. It wasn't every night at first, but they are becoming more and more frequent. I stay up the nights he drinks too much to make sure he is okay, and that Lucy doesn't go looking for him."
"Oh Blaine," I whispered, and I pulled him into a tight hug, "I'm so sorry," he didn't cry but he just held me back tightly. "Why does everybody keep doing this to me?" he whispered, and my heart ached. "I wish I knew Blaine; I wish I knew." I pulled back as I wiped my own tears away and then his own. "C'mon, let's go talk to Troy, and then we'll go pick up Lucy." Blaine wiped at his face and we both went back to the gym. Troy was talking to somebody, but I could see him sweeping the area for me.
He caught my eye and his face was instantly filled with concern. I walked closer to him and he left his conversation. "Brie, are you okay? Blaine?" he asked looking at the both of us and I just grabbed his hand. "I'm sorry, I have to take Blaine to my apartment and we are getting Lucy." I whispered to him and Troy's face was only concern at this point. "Are you okay?" I nodded, "We'll be okay. I just have to take care of them for the night." I told him, and Troy shook his head, "I'll come over. Okay? I don't have to stay the night, but I'll come to check on all of you." I just nodded as he kissed my forehead. "Blaine are you okay?"
Blaine looked away and Troy wrapped him into a hug, Blaine accepted it without much hesitation. "I'll see you guys in a little bit." A squeeze of my wrist and a press of his lips to my forehead. He walked away from the group as I grabbed Blaine. We went to the car and I quickly drove to James' house. "Blaine, I am just going to run inside and get Lucy. Stay here." Blaine just nodded as it looked like he didn't want to go inside. My stomach ached with concern for these poor kids and suddenly I felt like I had to take them in for a longer period of time than I wanted to take them in.
Opening the front door, I could already hear Lucy crying. I walked up the stairs double the time and I opened her bedroom door to find her. She threw her hands up in the air and I picked her up. "C'mon, you are going to stay with Aunt Gabi," I whispered into her ear as I grabbed her backpack along with Blaine's that he left. They each had clothes at my place but when I came out of the room, I saw James. He was drunk with glassy eyes and a tumbler of whiskey in his hands.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, and I just shook my head, "Not tonight, James." I said harshly. I then disappeared out of the door and took Lucy to the car. She caught sight of Blaine and she wormed her arms around him. "C'mon Luc, we're going to stay with Aunt Gabi." I swallowed on my lump as I knew I was going to need a minute tonight. I easily got them to my apartment and they both went to the second bedroom. "Blaine put Lucy in my bed. She can sleep with me tonight. You need to sleep." Blaine didn't argue and did as told.
Blaine came back out, "Are you going to take us from our dad?" he asked in a quiet whisper and I exhaled, "I don't know, Blaine. You can't stay with him right now though. We'll talk more about this tomorrow. I will talk to him tomorrow when he is sober." I promised him, and Blaine nodded, "You won't go anywhere else besides my apartment or Grandma and Grandpa's." Blaine exhaled, "Go to sleep." I whispered, and he nodded as he went to the bedroom. He shut the door when there was a knock on the front door.
Opening it up, Troy was standing on the other side in a pair of jeans with a t-shirt. Tears filled my eyes and he quickly swept me into his body. "It's okay," he whispered as he held me close to his chest. He pulled me to the couch and he pressed his face into my hair. "What happened?" he asked after I calmed down. My hiccups the only thing cluing him. His hand rubbing up and down my back trying to soothe my rough breaths. "Blaine and I were just talking. He mentioned that he was having trouble sleeping and he was really tired. I told him he was always welcome at my apartment, but he heard that we were supposed to hang out tonight." Troy shook his head, "They come first," he said automatically.
"I know, I told him that. So, we made an agreement that he would come over here. I said you might stay the night, but nothing would happen. I called James and he was drunk. It only took a few minutes for me to realize that James was getting drunk at night more frequently and that Blaine was staying awake to listen to Lucy. I told James that I was coming to get Lucy and when I got there she was sobbing. I can't let him do that to these kids. I know James is struggling. I know. I get it. I just…that isn't the answer for these kids who have lost so much already." Troy hugged me tightly to his chest. "You did the right thing." He whispered into my ear, "You did the absolute right thing." I inhaled as I couldn't take off work tomorrow because I already took a half day the last two days.
"I just want to protect them. They don't deserve this shit. They didn't deserve to lose their mother. They don't deserve their father to fall into a black hole because he doesn't know how to deal. They don't deserve any of this and I just want to wrap them into my arms." Troy's lips buried into my hair and he just held me close to his body. "I am so sorry," he whispered into my ear and I just held on tightly to him. "I'll have to get them both up and ready for school tomorrow. I have to go to work. I have three meetings." Troy just rubbed my arm. "I can help you get Blaine to school. Lucy doesn't know me as well." I swallowed on the lump in my throat as I exhaled. My heart rupturing from his kind generosity for just wanting to be helpful.
"You don't have to do that." I whispered, and Troy pulled back as he tilted my head back to look me in the eye. Those blue eyes were only full of concern and his thumb gently stroked my cheek. "No, I don't have to do anything, but I want to do it. I want to help you. I want to support you. I want to do it." I just buried my face into his chest and he wrapped me up tightly in his arms. His body rocked mine gently and he never let go until I pulled away from him. "Luna?" I asked, and he shook his head, "My mom has her tonight. I dropped her off before the game." He explained quietly.
I grimaced, "Lucy is in my bed." Troy shook his head, "I'll take the couch, I want to be here for you tonight. I want to be there for them. I want them to view me as a safe person in their life." I just shook my head as I looked at him closely, "Why?" I whispered, and he gave a tiny smile with the corner of his lips tugging up. "Because I'm falling in love with their aunt and I can't have them hate me." A true smile tugged to my lips and I covered my lips with his. "I'm falling for you, too," I whispered as I pulled back and he kissed me again.
Happy Sunday! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! It was a bit more lighthearted than the rest. I just want to clarify something about the update schedule. I would LOVE to update weekly but tomorrow I start my very last semester of school (hallelujah) and we all know how MIA I go during school. By updating every other week – I am able to update throughout the entire semester even if I don't finish another chapter between now and when I graduate in December. It's consistent updates and hopefully, once I finish the story, I will be able to start putting them out weekly! Until then…every other week. Better than every few months amiright?
His Girl will hopefully be up by next weekend. I have a few more sections to write! Thanks for all the patience!
