Rose and I were heading into town to go get our weapons, I had sent schematics a couple days ahead of time so that the smith and the tailor had time to make the adjustments necessary during Professor Oobleck's class where Jaune failed miserably to understand basic sign language.

Which meant also giving the tailor lady my Guess jacket, something that wasn't easy since it is one of the reminders of where I am originally from. We first entered the tailor's shop and she greeted us.

"Hello you two!" the young adult with tanned skin greeted with enthusiasm "here for your pick up?"

"Yes we are" I replied with a smile "You got my schematics right?"

"Weave some parts with fire dust thread, correct?" She asked.

I nodded with a "Yep" As she wrote it down on her scroll.

"And for Ms. Quartz a new pink and gold trimmed long coat" She said holding up a long sleeve hooded jacket that had the back long but it could still be zipped up in case of cold weather. I added that part in, I will fully admit that now. I care for her warmth and safety.

"And here is yours" She continued "Now I should warn you, Fire dust is dangerous, and if you treat it improperly, it will explode on you. That's why I have this pamphlet" She said handing me a Dust for Dummies pamphlet by the SDC.

Great, Another Weiss moment. Even when I'm away from her, I am still nagged at. I sighed "Thank you, I'll be careful" I said, putting my jacket on. So far nothing seems too different. Now I got to learn how to cast fire spell stuff. "How much?"

"Normally it would be about 150 Lien, but I'll cut it down to about 90 since it's your first time here" I nodded and gave her the Lein.

"Thank you! Hope you do business with us again!" She said as Rose was trying on her jacket, liking the look.

"Come on dear, stop admiring yourself in that mirror and let's go." I said about to drag her out of the store before the clerk stopped me.

"You almost forgot your holsters" She said handing them to me.

"Oh thank you." I said grabbing them and putting them on my belt that I had bought from a store that was similar to Target. "Have a great rest of your day!" I said as we walked away.

"Next stop the smith!" I said heading straight for it before being tugged at by my sleeve.

"Lets go and get lunch first, I'm hungry" Rose said as her stomach growled almost on que. She held it in embarrassment.

I looked around for a place to eat. "We'll have to go to a café or something, I have no idea if there are any restaurants around here-."

"I can show you!" Yang said out of nowhere.

Which made me jump with my arms outstretched in the opposite direction, and one knee up. Very manly I know. "Where in Dante's 9 circles of hell did you come from?!" I said without thinking.

She first looked at me confused at first. But she brushed it off and answered "Oh I was just taking a stroll." with a shrug. Knowing her, meant something completely different.

I facepalmed with a sigh. "Yang just point us to a restaurant please" I said exasperated.

She then pointed to a direction of a restaurant that I didn't notice before. "Sure thing, there's one around the corner, they have great steak" That made Jocelyn's eyes light up. Girl loves her steak. You would think different wouldn't you?

"Did you say steak?" Jocelyn asked with her mouth visibly drooling.

I slowly closed her mouth. "Rose honey, close your mouth, you'll attract flies." I told her.

"Yep, best steak on Saunus" Yang replied.

I then turned to face Yang. "Then we'll go there then the smith" I said with a shrug "Just us, sorry Yang, but this is a me and her thing."

Yang gave me yet another shit eating grin "Oh? Got any 'special plans' after the smith A?"

I sighed exasperatedly. That's her nickname she gave me a week ago that I still hate. Worst part was Jocelyn was the one who suggested it, she got it from Pretty little liars, and since then Yang's been calling me that nonstop.

I shook my head at her. "No Xiao Long, we will be heading back to Beacon afterwards" I deadpanned.

She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes "Hmph, you're no fun." She said with a pout before strolling away.

After Yang was out of earshot Rose asked me "Aren't you being a bit harsh? I mean wasn't she your- mph!" I covered her mouth before she could finish that sentence

"Teammate that I appreciate as a sister and nothing more? Yes, I may be cold now but I plan to warm up to them eventually. OK?" I said in the place of what she would have said about younger me.

I then released my grip on her mouth. "Ok ok, I get it. But at the same time, why aren't we telling them where we're actually from? And why did we switch our names anyway? I mean I went along with it of course but still... I don't know, lying to them seems wrong to me." She said with a worried expression forming across her face as she clutched her arms.

I placed my hand on her shoulder. "Look I know you don't watch a lot of Sci-fi movies, so I will give you a Spark-notes version of what will inevitably happen: Either A) This universe implodes with us in it or B) it will give them an existential crisis that their entire world is in a show. A piece of entertainment that makes their lives invaluable. Then they'd be seen as the crazy ones that go on and on about how there's no point to life if everything is predetermined etc. etc.

"Nerd" She said unclutching her arms.

"Force of habit, sorry my dear" I said kissing her cheek "Now come on, if this place is as good as Yang says it is, it will be packed any moment."

Well lunch took about as long as I expected. Seriously with how many people were in there, I'm surprised we even managed to find a seat. Though their pasta made the wait worth it.

Rose on the other hand devoured her steak like a goddamn bear fresh out of hibernation. She worries me sometimes. But in any case, We made it to the smith a tad later than I would have liked. I in fact the sun was about to set with the sky turning orange.

"Glad you two made it! I was starting to wonder" Said the smith placing his latest project down. He was a rather swole dude with scales that looked the part of a lizard. Not to mention his skin was green so I'm guessing he's supposed to be some sort of lizard faunus. "Here for your arms and armor I presume?"

I waved to him with a smile. "Yes we are, are they finished?" I asked as I placed my hands on the counter, leaning on it.

"Finished them hours ago. Lemme go and get them" He said going to the back of his store for a couple of minutes before coming out with three cases.

"This one is for you young lady" He said placing one of them in front of Rose "Your Crossbows that transform into swords. And for you mister" He placed the other two in front of me.

As I opened the box he said "Now I don't know a single soul who want their firearm and melee weapon seprate, but I guess you are a fan of the classics."

I nodded at him and looked at the pair of pistols that were based off the Rival Kronos one was white and black, the other was black and white. I picked up one of them and felt the grip. It was a nice grip, felt like it molded to my hand perfectly.

I placed both guns into the holsters and opened the other, looking inside I took out a sheathed black hilted sword with a guard in the shape of draconic wings in a V shape. I partially unsheathed it to inspect the blade. Red blade, probably infused with fire dust. I put it back in its sheath. As I did, I glanced over at Jocelyn who was testing out the crossbow function.

"Wow they work like a charm! How do I turn them into swords?" She said while inspecting her weapon.

The smith walked over to her with a smile. "Well there's a switch near where you were holding them. Flick it up to turn it into swords, and flick them down twice to turn them into their compact form. Perfect for travel. Because the hilts are made out of lightweight material. Courtesy of your beloved here." Said the smith while he was showing her how to use them.

He then looked like he suddenly remembered something. "Oh how careless of me, you wanted your armor too right? Let me grab them" He then disappeared into the back again.

She glanced back at me with a smile. "So nerd, what are you going to name them?" Rose asked placing the blunt end of her blade on her shoulder.

I couldn't help but chuckle. She calls me that often, it doesn't really phase me anymore. "Well the pistols will be named Kronos and Rhea respectively and my sword will be named Porfyrós Drákos, or Crimson Dragon" I said with a smirk.

She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Of course you would name them after Greek stuff" She noted.

I tied my sword to my belt as I asked her "What about you? What are you going to name your weapons?"

She looked up towards the ceiling for a moment, deciding on a name for them before coming to the decision "Rose's Thorns" She replied turning them to their compact form and clipping them to her belt.

I chuckled a little "After what we… ahem… discussed in bed?" I said with a smile.

She gave me a glare that said 'Just shut up you perv.' And I knew to back off.

I shrugged to her as I suggested "How about just 'Rose Thorns'? Makes it easier to say."

She seemed to like the idea. "Sure" She said with a shrug

The smith came back out with our armor. "Well it will certainly help next time you go up against a grimm, not that you'll need it since you have your auras." He said jokingly to which we politely laughed.

He caught onto our nervousness. "Wait you do have auras right?" The Smith asked.

I came up with something before we came here, might as well use it now. "We graduated early before we could" I said with a shrug "And our old weapons broke so we needed new ones. The smith really ripped us off back at Argus huh darlin'?"

She nodded and went along with my white lie "Yeah, remind me to check with reviews next time."

The smith nodded "Can't believe someone would rip you two off like that. They must have used cheap materials or something. Anyway, this should help if you get thrashed around by an Ursa" He continued "Go ahead and try it on! I guarantee it'll fit."

My armor of choice was gauntlets that had full blackened steel with red dragon like designs and a chest plate to match that could go under my jacket. You could barely tell it was there. I also got my hands armored boots of the same color.

I know I'm edgy, but I prefer not to stand out when I'm out in public. Plus I now have two sets of shoes, my street shoes for going downtown. And these ones for combat. So I should break them in at least. God knows my feet don't like leather.

Rose on the other hand has lighter armor with pink and white leather armor under her jacket, leather gloves, and combat boots.

The smith leaned towards me "Hey is it just me or does it look like it pushes something up?" He asked.

I gave him a slight glare and he backed off.

The smith clapped his hands and proclaimed "Look at you two, I could see you on the cover of Huntsman Weekly" He then crossed his arms with a smile.

I looked back at him. I'll need to pay him. "How much?" I asked getting my wallet out.

"500 Lien" He replied.

I looked at him dumbfounded "F-Five hundred?" I could barely afford school back on Earth. How is this more than my schoolbooks?

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Yeah 500, can you pay it?" He asked.

Rose and I looked at each other. I gave a nervous giggle towards her.

He sighed. I guess he thinks I can't pay for it at the moment. He then offered "Or you can pay me 300 now and the rest by the end of the week."

"Deal" I said putting 300 lien in front of him without a moment of hesitation.

He picked them up "Pleasure doing business" He said as he counted the money.

Joce waved to the blacksmith and told him "Have a great day!"

He smiled "You to" He said waving back.

[Later that evening]

"So what about our Auras?" Jocelyn asked in a concerned way.

I waved a finger in the air. "I've been thinking that. We should have RWBY unlock them for us later using that same ritual that Pyrrha did for Jaune." I told her.

She tilted her head at me with a look of confusion forming across her face "Later? Why later?" She asked puzzled.

I turned to her and answered "Forever Fall Forest will be soon, make sure Cardin has his eyes on Jaune. We don't need to worry them about it right now, danger level isn't that high in the first volume." I then turned back towards the airship that was heading to Beacon. "But for now, I would like to get assigned a locker to keep my weapons in."

I heard her sigh behind me. "OK I guess" Jocelyn trailed off.

I turned to meet her. She had her hand on her arm looking like she was in deep thought "What's wrong dear?" I asked stopping just in front of her.

She was silent for a moment looking at the shattered moon that was rising before answering "Do you think Earth exists in this universe?"

I gave her a shrug. Honestly I don't really know.

There's a million factors to consider if this could be the case.

However little though: "It's a possibility, but Remnant hasn't been able to go to space, mostly because of the fact their only fuel source is dust, and it loses power the higher it goes into the atmosphere. Not to mention back home it takes a considerable amount of force to leave the Earth's gravity, I imagine that it's the same with Remnant's gravity, due to the similar topography and geology. Not to mention the levels of oxygen. And the fact that whatever drops tends to take about the same amount of time as it would on Earth. But that doesn't really explain the death-defying stunts that the people here are capable of." I ranted.

I then looked up at the sky "Hell I can't recognize one constellation here, which is a bit of a problem since everything changes based off location. Orion for an example becomes completely deformed from Andromeda, which is only a few light years away from the Milky Way."

I then remembered who I was talking to, She doesn't really understand science like I do. I looked at her to make sure she was keeping up. And of course, she was looking at me dead confused.

I dropped my arms and sighed defeatedly "My point is, if we are in the same universe, we might be on the exact opposite end, or this." I said as I gestured to the ground "is its own universe."

She nodded as if to say 'got it. Stop talking my ear off. I don't even understand you.'

Once we landed, I then told her "Anyway, I'm sure my team will bombard me with questions later, but here is where we part ways my love." I told her as we exited the airship. "I'm going to see Glynda about getting a locker, you should go plan with team CRDL about Blake's bow" I said pointing to the top of my head "and Jaune."

She gave me a smile "Ok love" And pecked my cheek "Good night." She then took three steps before turning around and asking "Why did you order that for take out again?"

"Oh, this? Team RWBY will probably be hungry, I figured it's the least I could do." I said holding up the plastic bag "Weiss will complain about it being" I cleared my throat "Not up to her Atlesian standards" I mocked both her voice and stance. To which we both laughed.

"Alright bae. Good night." She gave me one last peck on the cheek before leaving for her dorm.

{Weiss' perspective}

"Achoo!"

"Weiss, are you getting a cold or something?" that dolt Ruby asked.

"The Ice Queen? Getting a cold?" Said that blonde bimbo Yang.

I crossed my arms. "Shut up! I do not get 'a cold' that easily! Oh and Thank you for saying 'Bless you'!" I yelled for it to fall on deaf ears.

"Guess the cold really does bother you!" Yang said snorting, then laughing to herself.

"Ha Ha, very funny Yang!" I said rolling my eyes "Where is he anyway? Wasn't he supposed to be back hours ago?"

It was then Ruby got a text "Guys he says he's getting a locker and will be up with food in a bit."

"Food? Why?" The moody shut in Blake asked finally looking up from that book.

"Probably because I pointed him and his girlfriend to a restaurant" Yang finally said after she was done laughing at her own joke. What is with this girl anyway?

"So he thought we expected to get a meal as well?" I said whilst shrugging.

"Guys he's a nice guy, he's just adjusting, that's all" Ruby replied "Maybe this is his way of apologizing for starting off by being… well like you Weiss."

I can't believe what I'm hearing! "What's that supposed to mean?" I asked while Yang tried to hold back her laughter and surprisingly hearing Blake laugh a little too "What?" I asked.

Yang had her hands on her mouth, she could barely contain her laughter. "I thought my semblance burned people, but Ruby just put it to shame!" said Yang rolling on the floor with laughter.

"Hey keep it down! Some of us are trying to sleep you know!" Yelled that dork Jaune across the hall from us.

"For once I agree with him, cease your laughter at once Yang Xiao Long!" I ordered with a foot stomp. But to no avail.

At the same time, the four eyed dork Achilles, or Justin, or whatever his name is knocked. "Is it safe to come in?" he asked.

Though her laughter she managed to say "Yeah, we're all decent."

He opened the door with a heavy sigh "Sorry I was late, Glynda took forever to register a locker, and it took even longer to open because apparently it was a factory malfunction" He said with a defeated sigh "So they're getting a new one for me. For now she offered to hold onto my weapons."

"What is this I hear about your weapons?!" Ruby said zipping up to him like a house cat. "Can I see them? Can I? CAN I?" I swear, they will make good friends because of how much they nerd out over simple weaponry. If he wasn't so private about his past anyway.

He simply chuckled at Ruby and patted her head. "With luck, you'll be able to see them when we go to the Forever Fall Forest in a few months." Hold on a moment... we're going to Forever Fall in a few months?

"And how do you know we're going to Forever Fall?" I asked.

He looked around the room before he came up with an answer. "My sister went here a few years ago, she told me about a beautiful red forest. She showed me pictures she took on her scroll. So yeah, I figured they do this every year" He said with a shrug "Besides I overheard some teacher- I mean professors talking about it in the hall on the way here."

Seems passable, I may take a trip to the library to see if there's any last name Vermilion in previous years.

"Anywho" He said, placing a plastic bag down on the nearby desk "Dig in everyone, I got one meal for each of you."

He placed them in order, R, then W, then B, then Y. I am assuming he put the first letter on each one of our names so he doesn't mix them up. I took mine and opened it. It was… disgusting to say the least, what was this? Fast food? It looks like it was done by someone who knows the basics plus some.

I glanced back at him "Hey what is this stuff?" I asked him as I pointed at my food.

He gave a look of a person who was disappointed "It was the cheapest thing I could afford. Sorry it's not from a five star restaurant." He said with a shrug as he handed Blake hers.

She took a couple of sniffs from it. "Is that… FISH?" She asked opening it frighteningly quickly.

He looked back at Blake with a nod "Yep, I figured you looked like you enjoy seafood, so I went to a butcher to get you this meal." He said as, I swear, I see her drooling.

"Why do I have a salad in here?" Ruby asked with her head tilted.

He turned around to face Ruby to answer her. "Because I know how much junk food you eat. Seriously, if you don't moderate that, you'll end up fatter than a whale." He replied rather coldly… huh so that's how that feels.

Yang seemed to agree with him on that. "He does have a point" Yang said while enjoying her meal, was that steak? He got Yang and I the same thing!

I turned my head to meet his eyes "Why didn't you ask what I wanted?" I asked him. He really should have asked me before getting this slop.

He waved at me dismissively. "Oh just try it Ice Queen" He replied as he picked up his pajamas up off the floor "I got a lot of hot dogs on the way here, as well as the pasta at that restaurant that Yang recommended I'm good." Before he shut the bathroom door. He looked back at Yang and said "By the way, thanks for the recommendation. Food's good at a cheep price."

{Justin/Achilles' perspective}

Well I think I gained their good favor. I hope Jocelyn is doing ok on her end. I can't begin to imagine what she has to deal with. I changed into my pajamas. I then went right to my bed to put my glasses away.

It seems the Ice Queen actually tried what I gave her. "This is really good actually" Weiss said surprised.

I pulled the covers open as I joked "Good glad you liked it, it cost me at least 50 Lien for that" well, it was almost 50 anyway.

"That cheap?" She asked. I sometimes forget she's an heiress, which means she has tons of money at her will, which also means she has more expensive taste buds.

I turned back to her and told her "Not all of us were born with a silver spoon in their mouth like you Weiss, some of us only have so much" I deadpanned.

She rolled her eyes "Whatever Four eyes."

I pointed at her and retorted "Only my fiance can call me that" which I immediately regretted.

Blake looked up from her food "Fiance?" she asked with her mouth full.

Weiss turned to Blake to remind her of her manners "Blake finish what's in your mouth for the brother's sake!" she yelled.

Weiss then turned back to me "I remember you telling us about her a little while ago, but how old are you anyway?"

Crap... Should I lie about my age? No that doesn't seem right. My body seems like 17 but my mind is definitely 20.

...

Fuck it. "Uh... 20?" I can't lie about my age, sure my physical body might look like I was 17 again. But I cannot lie about my age to them. And look at that, shocked faces, marvelous.

Yang stopped eating and turned her attention towards me "So you're older than us?" Yang said with her eyes turning red.

I held my hand out to her as if she were one of the raptors that Chris Pratt trained from Jurassic World. "Yang, Yang, I need you to contain the calamity that is your mameries" I told her. "Look I mostly assumed you guys already knew, so I figured there's no point in discussing it."

Thank God she calmed down returning her eyes to her Lilac coloring. I do not want to be on the receiving end of her wrath "Alright, so you're older than most of us." she stated as-a-matter-of-factly "Is that the other reason you knock before entering?"

"Yes" I answered without a moment of hesitation, here's hoping I wouldn't be punched.

Her expression softened. Good "What a gentleman" She said smiling.

It's been a long day, I need sleep. As much as I hate to lie, it drains me. "Now I'm going to catch some Z's, good night everyone" I said pulling the covers over my eyes. I just hope Jocelyn is doing better than I am.

{Jocelyn's perspective}

Cardin is on the window, perfect, now he will hear about Jaune cheating Beacon and the stage will be set for Justin's plan... Ok how in hell did he do that? He has no foothold- oh wait, he used the window itself as one, ok. Good to know then

"So Rose." One of the other members said, I forget their name, and it's not like I can look up the wiki what their name is.

"What do you want, Mohawk?" I replied crossing my arms.

"What's the story behind you and that guy in the red jacket, what was his name again? Achilles or something?" He asked.

Mama's boy haircut replied "Yeah it's Achilles, though Ozpin referred to you two by other names, what are those about?"

"Guys cut her some slack" Said Slick back Mercury knock off. "If she doesn't want to tell, don't force her." I know he's just saying that hoping to get into my pants. But my heart is already taken.

I already showed him what will happen if he tries anything. "Thanks pencil dick" I replied "I'm going to go get changed" I said as Cardin came back through the window.

"What did I miss. Were you three trying anything with her again?" he said as I shut the door and locked it.

"Phew" I sighed hoping that they didn't hear. Why am I in an all guy team again? Oh right, I made eye-contact with Cardin as soon as I woke up. God what I would do to punch his lights out instead of having to work with him, especially with the way he greeted me back then. He reminds me too much of one of my used-to-be-friends. No I will not discuss it.
