A/N: Just wanted to again thank you for reading and reviewing. I tried to reply to everyone I could but if I missed you, I apologize.

LeighAnn sat quietly in her room above the Long Branch, arms wrapped around her knees, staring at the wall. But it wasn't the wall she was seeing. Instead she was seeing the beloved faces of her father and brother that night in the barn.

"I got him." She told the apparitions in front of her. "I got him. He's dead, Papa. And Travis, I got your horse back. You both can rest now. I did it." LeighAnn closed her eyes as her family faded from view and for the first time in two years, she laid down her head and cried.

Down in the bar room, Kitty and Matt stood at the end of the bar, quietly talking. When they returned to town, Matt sent a couple back to the ranch to collect the dead man while he went over to the telegraph office and sent off a couple of wires. He'd never really been too curious about the man before as he'd caused no problems and didn't act suspicious. But he was curious now.

"What will you do expect to find out about that man that will change anything?" Kitty asked when Matt came back to the saloon and to share a beer with her.

"Nothing." Matt shrugged. "Except maybe his real name and maybe if he was wanted anywhere. I don't remember ever seeing his face on a poster but that doesn't mean he isn't wanted anywhere. If he is and there's a bounty on him, well…" he jerked his head up to the top floor, "maybe she could use the money."

Kitty smiled up at Matt. "Thank you. I imagine she could."

Two weeks later, LeighAnn stood outside the Long Branch, tying her carpetbag on the pommel of her saddle. Despite Kitty's insistence that it wasn't necessary, LeighAnn felt obligated to stay on at the Long Branch long enough for Kitty to find a replacement for her.

LeighAnn remembered Kitty's reaction. Kitty had smiled when she'd told her that. "LeighAnn, there is no such thing. You're one of a kind, you know. You're impossibly beautiful and better at cards than I am. Not to mention how good you are at handling the cowboys in here. Trust me, you will be impossible to replace."

LeighAnn had shaken her head with a smile. "I'm flattered, Kitty. But I'm not you. You've done this for several years now and you get better each day instead of bitter. I'm afraid I'd get worse each day. Besides, I know where I belong. And it's home where my family is and my land is. I don't know what all I'll need to do when I get there, but I'm anxious to do it."

Nodding, Kitty took her arm. "Then what you say, I teach you all I can about books and inventory and such while you're here. You'll need to know that kind of stuff when you go back to run your ranch."

"I surely will." LeighAnn nodded with a wry smile. "That and a lot of money."

Although, LeighAnn had refused a loan from Kitty and insisted she'd be fine financially, she was a bit concerned. But then her friends stepped up to her aide yet again. Marshal Dillon did find someone who'd had a bounty on Baines and after verifying the man's death he'd sent for the money and presented it to her. She'd tried to give it back to him, as he was, after all, the one who'd actually killed Baines.

But Dillon had refused. He insisted he was only doing his job and she was the one who'd done the most to bring the villainous man to justice. In the end she acquiesced and accepted the money, securing it in the bottom of her bag that was now tied to her horse. It would be useful in getting her ranch back up and running.

Patting the neck of her horse she smiled. She'd decided to ride her brother's horse back home despite Kitty's offer to have it sent to her. She wanted to once again feel close to her family and riding that horse would help in that regards.

"You about ready to leave?" Kitty stepped off the boardwalk and to her side.

"Yeah." LeighAnn nodded. Reaching over, LeighAnn hugged Kitty tightly for a moment. "I'll never forget you, Kitty. And I'll never be able to thank you for all your help."

Kitty shook her head. "I didn't do all that much. Besides, look how much work I got out of you these last couple of weeks. My books and inventory have never been in this good a shape. Not to mention the uptick in business, with all the men coming to see you play or have a drink with you. I'm the one that needs to thank you."

LeighAnn shook her head as she mounted up. "We both know better than that." Taking the reins of her horse, LeighAnn took a long look around her at the town of Dodge City and then back at Kitty. "If you ever find yourself in need of sanctuary, come to my ranch, Kitty. You did that for me. It's the least I could do for you."

"I'll remember that." Kitty smiled and waved as LeighAnn turned her horse and rode out, headed home at last.

When LeighAnn reached her ranch, she noted how much work she was going to have to do to bring it back up. But she wasn't afraid of that. Walking back behind the house, LeighAnn followed a overgrown path to a small fenced in lot on the hill behind the main ranch.

Stepping inside the small fenced in area, she stared at the three headstones there. Jesse Turner, Travis Turner and Martha Turner. Her parents and her brother. Her family. "I'm home." She whispered as she stared at the names on the stones. "I'm home and I'm never leaving here again."
