Chapter 1: New Planet, Same War
Astra POV
I groaned and rubbed my helm, I had been flying my ship, and then suddenly something struck my ship. I had appeared to have crash-landed on a rather strange planet. A rough landing caused my ship to need plenty of repairs with many of my things damaged. I jumped and stomped on the platform meant to lower me out of the craft but it failed to budge. I glanced around as my blue optics faintly lit the area around me as well as some electrical wires flickering. I walked back over towards the ship's controls and could see a crack along with the glass of the cockpit, creating a weak point within the very strong glass. I walked over towards my ship's armory and grabbed a rather large hammer. The hammer was roughly over half my size and was silver metal with lines of blue. I swung it around a couple of times to build momentum before slamming it up into the glass, causing it to instantly shatter upon impact. I place the large hammer onto my back before stepping on the glass and hoisting myself out of my ship, I jump out of it and land on the very soft ground.
I tilt my helm before tapping the tip of my ped on the ground, it was very different from Cybertron's hard metal landscape. Then again everything was very different from home. I looked around and saw strange plants growing out of the ground, some of the other planets I had been to had similar plants. My optics glance up towards the sky to see the stars shining brightly as well as this planet's moon high above. The moonlight made the blue of my armor shine more and illuminate the scratches across it as well as on the darker gray parts.
A small smile forms on my faceplates but instantly vanishes as I hear heavy steps coming towards me, as well as a rather annoying high-pitched voice, which could only mean one mech was near. "Starscream," my mind wandered towards the rather incompetent Decepticon second in command. "He's probably the one that shot me down. But what would the Decepticons be doing on this planet out of all the other ones" I thought as I had my blasters pop out of the top of my forearm over my hand. I moved and crouched behind my ship as I waited for them to come closer to ambush them one by one.
The voices and ped steps grew suddenly silent and then blaster fire could be heard. I slowly moved around the ship and glanced around the edge and saw that there were two groups of Cybertronians fighting. "Apparently Autobots are also on this strange planet, along with the Decepticons. I had no clue that the war would spread this far away from home after all of these cycles." I thought and soon enough the Decepticons fled from the small group of Autobots leaving some deceased vehicon soldiers behind..
I watched the Autobots move into the bright moonlight and began looking over my ship. There were three of them, though I immediately recognized one of them. "Optimus Prime?" I wondered. The amount of blaster fire and voices I heard would have resulted in more than three Autobots. Moments later, I heard ped steps behind me, I spun around and tripped them before standing up and slamming my ped down onto their chest and aiming one of my blasters at their helm. It was a larger green mech, with blue optics, along with a very shocked look. "Wait..Wait…we're on your side," he said as he raised his large arms to try and get me to not shoot him. I was right, there were more than three Autobots within that fight.
The other Autobots ran around the ship and aimed their blasters at me, I glanced over my shoulder and saw Optimus slowly lower his blasters and transformed his arms back to normal. "Astra?" he questioned. I transformed my blasters back into my arms before moving off of the large green mech. I turned towards Optimus and bowed my helm in respect. I turn and help the mech up again and smile a little towards him.
"Uhh…thanks for helping me up…you're uh. Wait… Optimus, you know her?" the mech said as he seemed even more confused as he just stared at me. Clearly, something about me made him more speechless, even though I didn't know what. The others retract their blasters and seem to be more at ease around me as I show a much kinder side as well as with Optimus knowing me.
Optimus retracts his face mask and looks towards the green mech before speaking, "Yes," Optimus went to say more but I looked at him and was uncertain of what he would first introduce me to his small group. No one really needed to know who my sire was, or the huge role I had to fill due to his success but either way they would find out soon enough. "Astra is one of the generals of the Elite Guard and one of Ultra Magnus's younglings," Optimus said.
"Youngling? I haven't been a youngling since the very beginning of the war.." I thought as I look at him before turning towards a femme that was just staring at me. I tilted my helm and raised my optic ridge, wanting to know more about what this blue femme with pink accents was thinking.
I could still sense that large green mech just staring at me. I was slightly shorter than him and glanced over to look up into his blue optics. His optics were much brighter vibrant blue than my pale blue ones. He blinked a couple of times and looked away slightly embarrassed.
"Why are you not saying anything? Did the Decepticons shoot your ship down? Why did you attack Bulkhead? Why were you hiding behind your ship? Are you actually an Autobot?" she asked in a rather serious tone. Her body language seemed rather uneasy around me.
I go to say something but the green mech stands up for me, "Arcee, calm down, she doesn't have to talk if she doesn't want to. As for the Decepticons shooting her ship down, they hate us with a passion so why wouldn't they shoot an Autobot ship down? Why are you asking so many questions? She's also a fragging Autobot due to the insignia in the middle of her chest," he moves his hand back and places his thumb against the insignia in the middle of my chest.
I glance down at his digit against my chest and push it away. "Um thank you but anyways…speaking…is not my forte," I say simply in a very hushed tone accompanied by a slightly scratchy voice
