{Justin/Achilles' perspective}

I took a few practice hits before Yang showed up "Your stance is all wrong. All you're doing is wasting stamina swinging like that." She said with a hint of snarkiness to her.

I sighed and turned to face her "Yeah, so I'm told." I said exasperatedly.

She placed a hand on her hip with a smile "Well, that'll be fixed soon. I'll go easy on you this time."

I shrugged "Alright, I should thank you for that." I stated as my gauntlets extended.

Yang looked at them inquisitively "So what did you name them?"

"Drakon Gauntlets." I answered as I inspected them.

She then gave a giggle which threw me off guard.

"Something funny?" I asked.

She then gave into laughter as she asked "What is it with you and naming things after Dragons?"

I shoved a finger in her direction as I defended "Hey! Not everything! My latest weapon I named Demon's Kiss."

She continued to laugh much to my dismay.

It made me drop my arms, letting her laugh at my apparent name choices. I knew she burned, but this takes roasting to a whole new level.

Her laughter soon died "Sorry, sorry. It's just, you're either the most serious guy I've met, or the goofiest." She started "Hell I think a couple of ladies wanted your autograph."

I groaned "Don't get me started. I lost count after 56 people wanted me to sign their weapons, magazines, you name it, I've probably signed it." I deadpanned.

She shrugged as she said "Well you did put on quite a show during the duo rounds. Not to mention a lot of kids were quoting that thing you said. What was it again? 'This party's getting crazy, let's rock'?"

I nodded "yeah yeah, So we gonna do this or what?"

Yang nodded "Yeah, whenever you're ready old man."

I placed my hand on my chest with a mock look of offence "Old man? Excuse you?"

She gave me a sly smirk "Aw don't be upset. It just means you have a lot more wisdom to share with us younger people."

Jesus H Christ… "Yang, please do not give me a reason to have a midlife crisis."

"But I thought you already had one." She snarked.

I pointed at her angrily "Yang Xiao Long, what would your father say?"

She shrugged "That I did a good job."

I groaned. I can't stand being out-sassed like this. "Are you trying to get me angry?"

She shrugged "No, just spitting facts."

I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath. Like a river over stone. "Anyway Yang. Let me get a song going. Moon gave me an extra speaker."

Yang waited and stretched.

I then turned on a song many of you are familiar with, a little ditty called I Burn by Casey and Jeff Williams.

{I Burn- Casey and Jeff Williams}

"Oh I love this song!" Yang exclaimed.

I looked back at her in confusion. "Wait, you know this song?"

"Uh duh!" She replied "I never pegged you for a pop guy."

So Casey and Jeff are canonical musicians in this world. Good to know. I got into my stance "Well. I guess it'll get you motivated then." She got into her ready stance "Alright, Just remember old man, I'm going easy."

"Stop calling me old." I deadpanned.

We got out to the center of the hall and circled around each other waiting for the other to strike first.

It's a family rule of mine; Never try to hit first. And always finish a fight.

She then threw a light jab at me which I blocked and countered with a left hook.

She blocked that and we kicked each other away.

We then threw fists one right after another.

Which all connected and did seemingly nothing to her.

She threw one that I dodged then countered with an uppercut into her gut.

She gave a smirk as she mimicked my movement, feinting at the last moment and switching to her opposite.

It hurt like a dump truck in case you were wondering.

I threw another punch at her one right after the other which she dodged.

I then threw a jab at her face which she caught and throttled me which knocked me off balance.

She took advantage and combo hit me with at least three regular punches, two jabs and an uppercut which sent me flying.

I landed on my feet and recovered.

I used the fire dust to propel myself towards her while she used her Ember Celica to do the same.

I threw a jab at her face at the same time as she threw one at my face.

Which if anyone pays attention to physics will know that we just did a few somersaults in the air before landing back on the ground.

I got back up just in time to see Yang stopping her fist just inches away as the song ended.

The both of us breathed heavily. She then gave me a smile "You're a natural." She said though her breaths.

I chuckled "Well I certainly didn't see any of your fists coming" I replied through my own breaths.

She stretched her arms as her weapons transformed back into their compact bracelet form. "But a few things I noticed during all of that. For one, you tended to throw a punch with the same foot. You need to start pushing off with the opposite. Otherwise you'll wear out faster."

I nodded as I transformed my gauntlets back to their compact state. "Thanks. I'll be sure to remember that tomorrow if I ever need to."

She smiled at me "Ok now come on. The others are already in the dorm room. They're going to wonder where we've been."

I nodded at her as I got a notification on my scroll "Alright, I'll meet you there, my friend wants a quick chat with me while his team is out."

She nodded at me "Alright, well… see you soon then." She said cheerfully as she ran out of the hall. I put my scroll away and headed for CVFY's room.

[CFVY's room]

Well it's about what I expected… "Hey dude." Aaron greeted.

I waved back to him "Hey, so your text said you needed help but you weren't very specific on what that help was."

He gave me a smirk "Your performance at the duo rounds made me want to one up you. So I need to create a spectacle. A dramatic entrance."

I rolled my eyes "Of course. So what are your ideas?"

"Well…" He said resting his chin between his thumb and his index finger "I was thinking of having grimm in the stadium vanish with drones hovering with a banner in front of the entrance."

"Aaron…" I started "Grimm can't survive captivity. How are you going to get them into the stadium without being noticed?"

Aaron stared at me with confusion for a moment before asking "Then… What happened at the fall of Beacon? When the White Fang brought those Ursa in."

I shrugged "The best theory is they picked a random one up and brought it within 5-10 minutes. But anyway, back to your dramatic entrance. How are you going to get the drones?"

He hummed something as he pulled out two drones from his desk.

"Well that answers that question." I commented.

He nodded "Yeah yeah, so what song should I do for my entrance?" He asked.

I shrugged "Probably something by Fall Out Boy, I plan on doing 'My songs know what you did in the dark' so don't do that."

Aaron nodded "Actually that's a good idea. Thanks man."

I smiled "No prob. Now I gotta get going before Blake has one of her 'Blake vision' moments." I said half-jokingly.

Aaron chuckled "Alright man, see ya."

I held up my finger before heading out the door "Oh and one more thing, I hear bunnies are good at multiplying." I said before I headed out.

I saw Velvet there in a playboy bunny outfit. I could tell she wasn't comfortable but this was part of my revenge for what he did to me while we were dealing with Merlot. "You remember the plan right?" I whispered to her.

She nodded and silently entered the room.

I shut the door behind me and took out a piece of rope that I had hidden in my jacket. I then tied the doorknob to CVFY's room to a random door across the hall from it. I gave it a slight pull to see if it was tight. It was, and now to go to my team's dorm.

Have fun Aaron~

[Next morning in RWBY's room]

Welp, today's the day. The one on one matches. I got up and stretched.

My team was up by the time I was "You're up later than normal." Yang said as she got out of the shower.

Great, now I'll have to clean up Yang's hair. "Well I had a late night. Besides, I'm all trained up for the singles match. So I'm just gonna take a walk around the fairgrounds until my friend gets to his match. Because that will be when I face my fiance in combat."

RWBY nodded at me "We'll be sure to cheer you on!" Ruby said with enthusiasm.

"You better win." Weiss said coldly.

"Be sure to get plenty to eat." Blake advised.

"And most importantly, break a leg." Yang said. Poor choice of words on her part.

I nodded to them "Of course, I won't lose. Not to my fiance, and not to anyone." I told them with a smile. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I've gotta get ready for the day. Y'all should too." I then went into the bathroom to change giving my teammates some privacy.

[Fairgrounds much later]

We hung out at the noodle stand talking about random things.

Well by we I mean mostly them. I chimed in from time to time but it's nice to see them talk.

Eventually we were joined once again by JNPR.

They were just talking about one of their matches when Jaune said "For us, we elected Pyrrha to go onto the singles matches."

Everyone seemed happy with that. "Pyrrha is the strongest among you guys, it makes sense." I commented.

Jaune then asked "What about you guys? Who did you nominate?"

My team looked at me "Well, Achilles." Said Yang.

I swear I've never seen a look like that on team JNPR's face, aside from Nora who I think wasn't paying any attention.

"Achilles?" Pyrrha asked "I'm sorry but why him?"

Weiss cleared her throat "Well he has improved substantially. Not to mention he was able to keep up with his friend Keoth and Flynt even with their semblances active without having one of his own."

I scratched the back of my neck. I'll admit, when someone praises me it's kinda hard to describe the feeling.

"Besides that, he's a great fighter. Almost like he knows his opponents inside and out." Weiss continued.

I chuckled nervously "Well… Y'know the old saying: 'If you know your enemy, and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles'." I quoted. I believe that's from the Art of War. I'll have to check if I ever get back to Earth.

Pyrrha sighed "I think there's more you're forgetting." She stated.

She doesn't look too happy right now. I better see if I can talk to her.

"Hey Pyrrha," I said as I stood up "Wanna walk and talk for a bit?" I asked, much to my team's surprise as well as Pyrrha's.

"Um… sure?" She answered standing up. "We'll be around the cafeteria later on Jaune if you want to meet us."

Jaune, with a confused look on his face, nodded "See you later then." He said.

We walked a good distance away before I started speaking "You look like a rug was just pulled from under you."

She sighed heavily "Well, you could say that did indeed happen." She said shakily.

So sometime ago Oz approached her. Good to know. "So do you need to talk about it?"

She looked around as if trying to come up with something to say.

After what seemed like an eternity of silence and walking she finally spoke up as we got to Beacon's courtyard with the sun in the middle of the sky. "Do you believe in destiny?" she asked.

I took a sigh and sat down near the statue "You're gonna have to be more specific on 'destiny' there. Do you mean a finite goal or a predetermined fate that cannot be changed?"

She sat down next to me as she explained "I believe it to be a final goal, something you work for your entire life."

I nodded "Makes sense, better to view it that way. Makes it seem less stressful."

She gave me a nod "But… what would you do if something came along that you never expected? Something that had the potential to stand between you and your destiny?"

I shrugged "Honestly, I'd go along with the flow. See what it has to offer. And if it does get in the way, I move on and try to avoid it. But if it seems like you cannot, or it can rapidly help you to your destiny, or fulfill it rapidly, then go for it. Shoot for the throat." I said as I stood up.

Pyrrha mimicked my movements as we continued to talk "But, what if it was at the cost of who you once were?" She asked.

I again shrugged "That all depends on you, and what you can do."

She crossed her arms and looked away "None of it makes any sense though. It wasn't supposed to be like this." She said as we neared the cafeteria.

I put my hand on her shoulder reassuringly "Pyrrha, it's ok if it doesn't make sense at the moment. Just know that whenever you need them. Your team, and your boyfriend, will be willing to help as much as they can." I told her with a smile.

She stepped away as she began monologuing. "I've always felt as though I was destined to become a huntress. To protect the world." She gave a small sigh before continuing "And it's becoming increasingly clear to me that my feelings were right. But…" She said as she turned to face me with her fists clenched "I don't know if I can do it."

I put my hands in my pockets of my jacket letting her speak. I smiled at her reassuringly "Pyrrha, whatever this is, I'm sure you can handle it. And I know you are more than capable of doing what you feel you are destined to do. No matter if it's to become a huntress, a loving wife, or something greater. You've always risen up to the challenge of your rivals. I've seen you on TV, I've seen your capabilities for myself. I know whatever ails you…" I stated as I put my hand on her shoulder once more. "You're ready. After all, he who desires, but acts not, breeds pestilence. So it is written"

She chuckled at that statement. "Speaking cryptically again I see."

I shrugged at her. "It's a force of habit. My apologies."

Just then Jaune rounded the corner with cotton candy.

I turned back to her one last time "Let him help you. You can trust him."

I then let go and walked off to the colosseum. I need to get ready for my fight. And to watch Aaron with his oh-so dramatic entrance.

[At Amity Colosseum]

Welp, I'm ready. Though before me and Jocelyn get to fight, as I briefly touched upon, Aaron is going to fight Sun first.

He had told me ahead of time that he was planning this and I fully intend on watching it myself.

So I'm just leaning on the entrance to the stadium floor watching as Sun entered with Port announcing "Standing at 6 feet, hailing from Haven Academy. You know and love him; Sun Wukong!" With the crowd cheering for him. "And coming in from Beacon Academy, a student after my own heart standing at just 5'7 and weighing in at approximately 191 pounds." Port announced as a song started.

It seems to be Centuries by Fall out Boy. I'm not surprised.

{Centuries- Fall out Boy 0:30- 1:16}

"It is… Grimmslayer! Otherwise known as Moon Shadow." Glad to know he took my suggestion to heart.

Well some holographic grimm appeared on his end of the field and then the sound of gunshots could be heard as the holograms vanished.

Drones then put a banister over the entrance and Aaron jumped right through it ripping it in the process.

He then held his arms up to the audience which roared with excitement.

He then looked towards Sun and started walking up to him. As soon as he reached the edge of the center of the arena he did a front flip into it.

"This overdramatic motherfucker." I mumbled under my breath.

Sun pretty much just stood there looking impressed.

{Aaron/Moon's perspective}

"Dude… nice entrance." He told me with a thumbs up.

I nodded "Well it was mostly to outdo Achilles with his performance during the Duo rounds."

Sun nodded back "You two seem like good friends." He noted with his arms crossed.

I nodded in agreement. "We very much are. Now, are we ready to get this show on the road?" I asked him.

Port then started the countdown.

Sun put his gunchucks away "Sure man. I'll make sure to not use my weapons either."

Once the countdown ended I put my hands in my pocket and tapped Sun's leg.

Sun rolled his eyes and then roundhouse kicked me which I dodged.

"Oh so we're playing like that huh?" I taunted.

I then threw a left hook which Sun ducked under and countered with a kick.

It hurt but not enough to knock my aura down.

We exchanged blow after blow and I managed to get a lucky hit into his face.

Which made him stumble back a bit. He smirked at me "I'm impressed." Sun praised. "But that's not good enough."

He then used his semblance to make two clones of himself.

Just the opening I was looking for. I managed to get passed his clones and then ran passed him which confused him at first.

I then planted my elbow into his skull which managed to knock out the rest of his aura.

"And with that, Sun Wukong is out… Seriously someone should check on him. That looked painful just watching it." Port announced.

"Quite, the next match will begin in just under an hour. If anyone in the audience needs to refill on their refreshments, now is the time." Oobleck said.

I'll be sure to stick around, Justin and Jocelyn are fighting next. How she managed to stay in the singles when I took Emerald and Mercury out, I have no idea.

I then spotted someone in the crowd. She was wearing her gothic lolita outfit, I smiled at her and nodded.

I'll have to help her break Roman out after this so… yeah. I guess I'll have to miss out on whatever is about to happen. Or I'll watch it on my scroll, we'll see.

{Justin/Achilles' perspective}

Oh Aaron won? I wasn't paying much attention, I was on my scroll the entire time.

Judging from the fact Sun looks like he's seeing stars I'll assume he used the V trigger or something.

Weiss texted me Remember, keep proper form.

I rolled my eyes and texted back No promises ;).

I put it back in my pocket. I then stretched my arms and legs.

The older I get the more my bones and muscles feel stiff. So I want to make sure they stay loose since I'm swinging a sword around and wield akimbo guns. I wonder what Jocelyn is doing right now?

[In the locker room of the opposite side of the field]

"Remember Rose, you wanted this. I will be in Vale to start the final phase of the plan. If you fail, we go to my backup plan. Understood?" Cinder said sternly.

Jocelyn sighed agitatedly as she clipped her weapons onto her belt "Yeah yeah I heard you the first dozen times."

Cinder smiled at her "Good, now then. Go on and give your fiance something to remember."

Jocelyn nodded and headed for the arena floor.

[Back on the arena]

"And now, the event you've all been waiting for!" Port announced "These two fierce lovers have had each other's back for years. And now they are here, Competing to see who's kingdom really does reign supreme."

The crowd cheered with team RWBY cheering for their friend.

"Coming in from Haven Academy, standing 6 feet tall and dressing to impress all of those around her: Rose Quartz!" Port introduced with Rose struting out to the center of the ring. "And now, coming in from Beacon Academy. Standing at 6'4 with a fire in his eyes, with a flair for the dramatic, and styling his opponents thus far." Port introduced while Justin created a ring of fire from the dust in his jacket and prepared a song for his entrance. "You all know and love him. Achilles Vermilion!"

{My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark- Fall Out Boy, 0:50-1:10}

Justin then jumped through it and landed as soon as it dissipated.

He threw his hands up and yelled "Lemme hear you make some noise!"

And with that the entire stadium roared to life.

Weiss rolled her eyes as he waved his arms to get people to cheer for him. "Must he make a production out of everything?" Weiss asked.

"Oh come on Weiss, You have to admit, that was cool." Yang said to Weiss.

Weiss gave a defeated sigh "I guess it was alright. But I think Moon Shadow did it better."

Yang gave a snicker "You just don't want to admit that you like Achilles."

Weiss shot Yang a warning glare which made Yang back off.

Back on the arena floor, Justin and Jocelyn looked at each other face to face.

Justin remarked "You know, you still look just as beautiful as the day we first met."

Jocelyn smiled at him "Thank you, and you are as handsome as the day I met you. Though I'm not sure about the beard."

Justin stroked his beard "What about it?"

She placed a hand on his cheek "It hides too much of your handsome face."

Justin chuckled "Hey not now, we're about to fight now. I won't go easy, you know."

Jocelyn took her hand off and stepped back. "Of course dear. And I won't either."

Both Justin and Jocelyn then drew their weapons.

Justin drawing his blade and Jocelyn transforming hers from their compact form into their blade form.

Justin playfully pointed his blade at Jocelyn, while Jocelyn stared into his eyes with a glare.

Of course no one was prepared for what events would transpire next.
