Author's note:

What's this? Two updates to this story in a row? I know I know, I tend to update RWBYverse first, but some personal issues got in the way of both of us being able to work 100% on it.

Other than that, I've been going back and re-working the previous chapters.

This chapter will be dedicated to my late grandpa.

{Aaron/ Moon's perspective}

Training with Tai has been going great.

He showed me a few new moves that I never would have thought of.

Yang was training beside me.

Tai decided it was a good idea for us to train against each other.

Which went well until I went a little too hard…

… Ok fine, after a few minutes of sparring, I surprised Yang with the good ol' fashion Freshly Squeezed moves. I.E: Where I surprise her with a few taps on her leg and then a super kick to the face. Like I did to Mercury.

She got back up and wiped her mouth "That was a cheap shot." She muttered.

I shrugged at her "Apparently it works well against you and Mercury, which I think says a lot about the both of you."

Tai called for a time out. "Before you two break each other's bones, let's go back inside to get lunch," he told us.

I shrugged again "Sounds good, I'd like to have a full stomach when I defeat Yang."

She rolled her eyes at me with a smile that pretty much says the same thing my friends do: 'You're an asshole'.

"Yeah yeah I know. My friends say the same thing." I told her.

And like that, we ate in silence. Admittedly, Tai is a good cook. Nothing compared to my mom though.

And like that, I felt homesick.

I think Yang noticed since she broke the silence "Hey, you alright Moon?" She asked.

I shook my head. "First, you can call me Aaron, Moon is more or less a nickname."

She nodded "Alright Aaron, what's the second thing?"

I gazed down at my food "Well… I'm just homesick."

"Homesick?" Tai asked. "Forgive me for asking, but why don't you head back home?"

I sighed. "Well… I was from a village in Vacuo. Alburia, and one day a sandstorm pretty much knocked it off the map when I was training in Shade."

He gave an understanding nod and returned to his food.

Yang placed a hand on my shoulder and assured me "Well you're always welcome here."

"Thanks Yang…"

We returned to silence. Afterwards we began training once again. I'm going to have to convince Tai to let us go, but we can always sneak away. Besides, I feel like the temperature is dropping. I just hope Justin will be able to get his butt in gear.

Meanwhile in Atlas

{Justin/Achilles' perspective}

"So why am I coming with you two to meet your business partners?" I asked Jacques as we took a limbo to… wherever we were heading.

He swirled the red wine in his glass as he explained to me "I let you live in my house for free, I just feel like it's time for you to repay my kindness."

I knew there would be a catch. Jacques is a symbol for why I hate Corporate America.

Not to mention Whitley is here glaring at me the entire time.

"So why bring Whitey?" I asked once again.

"It's Whitley you hillbilly!" He corrected me.

It fell on my deaf ears "I know what I said." I retorted. This is about all the entertainment I can get while I'm locked in the Schnee manor.

Jacques doesn't like it, but I know what he wants. So I'm at least 90% sure he won't just kick me out.

"I know you two have your differences." Jacques started "But I ask you to not argue for at least 20 minutes when we get there."

"Speaking of…" I said as I looked back at him. "Where are we going?"

Just then the limbo stopped in front of some sort of bar or restaurant. I can't tell due to the fact that all of these buildings all look the same.

"Here." He said as the door opened next to me.

Once we were at the door and Jacques confirmed his reservation. He turned to me and said "When we get in there, don't draw any attention to us. We're there to discuss business and nothing more."

I shrugged at him, "Alright."

And once we were inside I threw my hands out and yelled "WHAT'S UP BITCHES?!"

Which made everyone stare directly at us.

Jacques grabbed my shoulder and turned me to face him and whispered "What did I just say?"

I shrugged "I'm filled with spite, you say one thing I do the exact opposite."

He groaned and told me to follow.

We got to a table. And lo and behold, I spot the Marigolds. "Woah woah woah, you never mentioned we were meeting with them!" I said to Jacques.

"If I had, would you have come?" he asked.

"I didn't want to go whether or not you asked. You basically dragged me off the couch." I hissed.

He gestured for me to take a seat.

Now under normal circumstances, I would show more manners than I do right now. But since I'm more in a mood to see just how far I can push Jacques, I decided to forgo my table manners and kick my feet up at the table.

Much to the Merrigold's displeasure.

Jacques sat next to me with a groan.

Henry Marigold was with them today it seems. He was giving me a look of disgust.

"Jacque, it's good to see you." Said the Marigold mother. "But um… who is this?"

Jacques adjusted his clip on tie and explained "This is Achilles Vermilion, one of the only surviving members of the Vermilion family."

"Sup?" I greeted.

They looked at each other in confusion then back to me as if I were a ghost. "W-well it's a pleasure to meet you."

I rolled my eyes and told them "Spare me the formalities. I was never raised with the wealthiest of the wealthy."

There was a conversation but honestly I wasn't paying attention. There's only so much business I can listen to before my mind starts trailing off to another place.

Eventually it seemed like we were ready to order. And thank god, because an hour later I would have gone into a hangry state.

Another hour passed and I put my feet down so the waiter had a place to put my food. It was some form of pasta that I didn't recognize.

I turned to Jacques and asked "What is this?"

He looked at my dish and said "That is a linguine and ground beef. Considering what I see you eat on a daily basis I figured you would enjoy this… less expensive meal."

I raised an eyebrow at him "How much is this?"

"It is worth 50 Lien." He answered.

50 Lien for all of this? How?

Better be some damn good pasta.

Before I could get my answer a wine glass was placed in front of me as the waiter poured a red wine.

After that I ate in silence while everyone else was in conversation. Something about the 'fundraiser' Jacques was talking about.

Eventually I got fed up waiting for their conversation to end since I already finished my plate. So I got up and walked to the bar. I then asked the bartender "Hey drink slinger, who's dick to I have to suck to get a beer?"

The bartender groaned. "There's no need for that, I can make you one now. Which one do you prefer?"

I pointed to the one that had a silver and red design on it. "And put it on Jacque's tab."

As I was waiting, Henry Marigold showed up next to me. "Beer? Isn't that a poor man's drink?"

Without looking at him I replied "I was raised as a working class. So forgive me that I don't have expensive taste buds."

"I get that. Your parents probably did that to make you humble or something." He replied.

"No."

I could see his confusion out of my peripheral vision. And with an annoyed sigh I explained "We've always been a working class family. My dad did plumbing while my mom stayed home to take care of the house and my sister and I with my two little brothers."

"But… Your family is famous throughout Remnant. Why would anyone want to be in a lower class house willingly?" he asked.

"It's a nice ranch house. Plenty of fruit trees, and the amount of game that comes across our yard could feed our family for weeks if an apocalypse ever did occur." I answered.

With confusion still on his mind he replied. "That doesn't answer my question."

I shrugged. "Doesn't need to."

He leaned against the bar "Well… since we're here… What do you plan on doing after this?"

I turned sharply at him and firmly told him "You're not my friend, you might as well be a stranger to me. I know you Marigolds only bother with stuff when you have something to gain."

He looked offended. "I would never! I just wanted to get to know you better!"

I gave a quick chuckle and replied "And then what? Sleep with me then break my heart in the morning like a horrible reality TV drama?"

He looked terrified as he stepped back "Wha- no! I'm not like that-!"

I rolled my eyes at him "Oh please, all rich types are like that. I would know, I had to deal with snot nosed brats like you back when I lived in Argus. And you know how we introduced ourselves?"

He looked around the bar nervously.

The bartender slid my drink to me as I grabbed it and passed it to my left hand. "We raise a toast." I explained, "So I'll raise a glass. To the amount of suffering that people like you caused."

I then took a sip. I then looked at the glass then back to Henry "Because this glass is on you!"

I then hit him over his head with the beer glass and by extension, my robotic hand which sent him directly to the ground. His face now covered in what he considered a poor man's drink.

Of course everyone immediately rushed over as Mrs Marigold cradled her son's bleeding face. She then yelled at me "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

I shrugged at her "Plenty that a therapist would get rich off of just me alone."

Jacques then grabbed my shoulder and turned me to face him as he angrily stated "We're leaving."

I looked back down at my handiwork with a slight smirk on my face directed at Henry before I exited with the Schnees.

In the limbo Jacques didn't hesitate to yell at me. "I hope you realize what you've done."

"Yeah, I decked a rich person. That's one more item off the bucket list." I replied, trying my damndest to channel Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.

He groaned and rolled his eyes. "Well now we'll have to pay for the damages YOU caused."

I shrugged, "That sounds like a whole lot of not my problem."

Jacques groaned out of annoyance. "In any case, we're heading to the hairdressers next."

"Good, I need a haircut anyway."

Jacques then chuckled "Oh not for a haircut, we're going to make sure your hair looks… well not like a Greaser's"

I raised an eyebrow at him "Excuse me?"

He waved his hand and explained "I can see what you're going for. The tough-as-nails from a lower class family with the hair to prove it."

I touched my hair and replied "Not… exactly? Hair like this is hard to maintain."

Jacques raised an eyebrow but I guess decided not to ask for me to elaborate "In any case, we're going to make sure your hair is perfect for the fundraiser."

Now I was curious "So why don't we just chop it off?"

Jacques took a sip of his champagne before he answered "Why to keep your appearance up. Like it or not, this is your signature look now."

I was puzzled to say the least "So you don't want me to look like a greaser yet keep my long-ass hair?"

He nodded, "Thank you for understanding."

I threw a hand up and retorted "I don't understand dick or balls!"

"Sir, we're approaching the hair dresser now." The driver informed us.

"Thank you." Jacques replied.

I narrowed my eyes on Jacques. "You're doing this on purpose aren't you?"

He gestured for us to exit the limbo

Patch

{Aaron/Moon's perspective}

Yang fell to the ground with a very loud thud.

Tai was surprised by the move I made against his daughter.

Yang got back up groaning "ow…"

I shrugged "And that's why I don't use that move. When I said it hurts, I meant it."

Yang scoffed "You're telling me. That nearly shattered my aura."

I waved a finger at her "And that's why you don't mess with me."

She smirked, "Guess it's true what they say about short people."

I shoved a finger in her direction "Don't. I get enough of those from Achilles."

She giggled. "Of course."

Tai came to us with water "Take 5 you two. Ruby and I will be out with lunch in a moment."

And like that, Tai and Ruby disappeared into the house.

And as soon as they disappeared Yang asked me "Have you heard from Achilles?"

I scoffed "If he's ever bothered to pick up his scroll. No I haven't."

Yang looked towards the sky as she nodded "I see…"

Now I'm curious "Why?"

She mumbled "Don't worry about it ok…"

Well that definitely means something.

Before I could ask her my scroll vibrated.

Hoping that Justin FINALLY texted me I picked it up only to see…

Oh god she was recording that session?!

Yang's scroll then vibrated. She checked it and her mouth hung open. Her head slowly turned to me.

Tai and Ruby soon came out. Tai yelled something but to be honest I didn't hear it. I was too embarrassed by the fact that apparently now I'm going to be in a scandal.

Atlas

{Justin/Achilles' perspective}

"Ok Jacques, the hair treatment or whatever was nice. But why am I getting fitted for a three piece suit?" I asked out of sheer annoyance.

Jacques cupped his hands as he explained "For the fundraiser of course, we can't have you looking like you've crawled through a forest would we?"

I narrowed my eyes at him as the tailor got very specific measurements of me while I was t-posing. "Ain't that at least 2 months away?"

Jacques nodded "Of course, which is why we need to start preparing now."

It's official, he's worse than Jocelyn when it comes to planning.

"Alright," Said the tailor. "We got his measurements in. We'll have his suit by month's end."

I dropped my arms and stepped off the podium.

Jacques nodded and like that we left.

"So…" I said as I crossed my arms "Where are we going next?"

"Home." Jacques said abruptly.

Just then, my scroll vibrated.

I checked it to see if Aaron texted me again.

It was from Neo.

… Good lord! Is that what she did to that poor guy?!

… Is any of that even legal?

My face must have given something away because Jacques yelled "Achilles! What is the hold up?!"

Of course I quickly put my scroll away and told him "NOTHING, *ahem* nothing, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."

He raised an eyebrow at me.

I got in the limbo without saying another word.

{Weiss' perspective}

I think I've been staring out this window for hours. Wondering when Achilles and my father would come home.

Of course my thoughts were interrupted by my scroll vibrating.

I checked it. I care not to describe what I saw, it was… horrifying to say the least.

Isn't that Neopolitan and Moon?

… Oh my gods.

Achilles slammed the door open behind me, making me jump.

He then closed the door behind him and asked "So you saw it too I guess, judging from that look on your face."

I nodded silently.

He sighed "Figured, it was from Neo. Jacques even got it. He thought it was a virus or something."

I put my scroll down and joked "So… I guess she didn't take the break-up well then."

Achilles raised an eyebrow at me, then quietly chuckled "If only Moon could have heard that."

Patch

{Aaron/Moon's perspective}

I buried my head in my arms as Tai, Yang, and oddly enough Ruby were discussing what to do about this situation I now find myself in.

Tai asked me "How did you not know there were cameras in the room?"

I told him "Oddly enough I was a bit distracted at that moment."

Which sparked an argument between Yang and Tai. I glanced outside to see a single leaf falling down.

… I suppose it's almost time. I need to get everyone to Mistral.

I'll wait for this argument to die down though, doing so here would result in a hard no.

Reviewer session:

KingofDelete: Jacque is the perfect example of capitalism. Or at least, that's how I see him. Hell with how manipulative he seems in the show I figured that he would eventually want to milk me dry.

Also glad to see you enjoy my writing! I do make a point to go back through and edit things from time to time if I feel it's necessary
