Education on the Isle is not good. They have close to no materials, the buildings are old and musty. One of the schools literally used to be a morgue. There's no temperature control, so it can be below freezing in the middle of winter.

There are three schools on the Isle, Dragon Hall, Serpent Prep, and The Witch School. All of which serve kids grades 1-9, or ages 5-14. There are 4 classes in the morning, then an hour-long lunch break, then another 3 classes in the afternoon. The schools don't serve lunch so the kids leave and eat at other places but most kids don't return to school.

The schools offer classes like Selfishness 101, Evil Schemes and Nasty Plots, Advanced Vanities, and Wickedness. They also offer some basic science and history classes. Contrary to popular belief they don't teach you how to read or write, they expect you to already know how. In history classes, they teach it from the villain's point of view.

Dragon Hall is run by Dr. Facilier and Serpent Prep is run by a pirate. Teaching is a well-respected profession on the Isle and teachers get paid more than any other job on the Island.

Dragon Hall and Serpent Prep get funding from the student population. They charge their parent's different amounts depending on how high they're ranked on the Isle. But The Witch School is funded by the Witches on the Isle.

There is no system for students who have disabilities or don't speak English. Generally, students who have disabilities or don't speak English, don't go to school and learn from other places. Harriet Hook is known for teaching kids how to speak English, how to read, and how to write. She also helped create Isle Sign Language after figuring out that a child can't hear. Each gang generally has a system in place to help kids who can't go to Dragon Hall or Serpent Prep.

The school doesn't teach them important parts of adulthood, like sex-ed. Many kids, especially the older generation of VKs learned from experience. But now they are teaching the younger generation what they know so they don't make the same mistakes that they made.

The education system on the Isle is not great and leaves many children out, but it's what they have and will probably never change.
