Daenerys
No one knew what to do and that had only made the situation worse.
The Masters of Meereen had been clearly expecting that the appearance of their new champion, the Juggernaut, would take the fight out of Daenerys and her own champions and thus allow them to declare a quick victory. Perhaps if there had been a battle it would be a quick one with one of her champions killed and the Juggernaut lifting their body up for all to see while Dany gnashed her teeth together before submitting to their desires. Things would return to how they always had been for the last of the great Slaver Cities, with them allowed to continue on with their lives as if nothing had ever happened, free to steal freedom from the innocent without any to stand in their way.
Or perhaps they had dreamed of something more. After seeing themselves do what Yunkai and Astapor could not it had caused them to begin to fantasize about the whispered desires of old men looking to make one more mark on the world. Rather than a single city amongst many make an empire. March on Lys and take them to be a part of a new Meereen Empire. Or even bigger and more mad dreams… such as Braavos, which had always been held as the greatest prize any of the Slaver Cities could hope to snatch up and subjugate to their will.
It didn't matter now for those idle dreams had been twisted into nightmares and now everyone was screaming and yelling and trying to escape with their lives.
When the Juggernaut had made it clear that he was going to claim Meereen for himself the Masters had begun to panic. They shouted conflicting orders, with some demanding that the slaves they had brought with them to watch the battle get them to safety while others cried out for them to throw themselves at the Juggernaut in order to stop him. It didn't help that the Masters didn't care if they actually owned a particular slave or not and as such the houseguards of the different families found themselves assaulted by different orders that conflicted with one another.
"Fight you fool! Slay that usurper!"
"We must flee! Clear a path!"
"To the left! To the left!"
"We must cut to the right!"
"What are you doing? Listen to me!"
"Heed my commands!"
"Go!"
"Stay!"
Madness… utter madness!
To make matters even worse some of the Masters had clearly decided that this was all her fault and had ordered their slaves to kill her, while others thought that if they took her alive her capture would somehow stop the Juggernaut. This forced Dany to give the command to fight back against the poor men sent at her through no choice of their own. Ser Jorah's sword was practically dripping with blood, so coated it the crimson fluid she could no longer see its surface. The Unsullied stabbed back at slaves that rushed them while Wade screamed and flailing his arms about, making lewd threats against everyone about what he would do if only he wasn't a torso.
"And the second hamburger will ALSO be made of your lungs!" Wade shouted as Gray Worm tossed him towards another Unsullied, so he could snatch up a spear and use it to take out a burly fighter that had charged towards them. "Whoa!" Wade exclaimed as he shifted in his new carrier's arms. "Hello there… listen, you might not believe this, what with me currently missing my lower half, but I actually am really well hung so once I heal if you are looking for a good time-"
The Unsullied tossed Wade at Gast, the Master letting out a cry of surprise as he found himself burdened with the warrior.
"Can you not call them off?" Daenerys asked as Ser Barristan hacked away at some panicked Masters who had somehow gotten ahead of them and were now running about, arms above their heads and madness in their eyes.
"I… well, the thing is my queen," Gast stammered, "I think they, uh, really don't care at the moment. Slave or Meereeni."
"Khaalesi," Ser Jorah said, moving towards her, shoving back another member of the panicked crowd, "our best hope is to get to the ships and put out into the bay. That will allow Logan and the Hulk to focus on the Juggernaut without having to worry about us-"
A roar split the air and Domino yanked Dany back just as the Hulk slammed down before them.
"Well, this is just a lovely day you've taken me out for," her aide told her, rolling her eyes.
Ser Barristan knelt next to the Hulk. "Are you okay?"
"Ugh," the Hulk groaned, shaking his head before slowly getting up. "Dome Head Man hit hard." He reached up and used his own thick knuckles to press on the side of his jaw, snapping it back into place with a crack. "Hulk just hit harder then!" He crouched before rocketing through the air, the shockwave from his leap causing their entire party to fall to the ground.
"Well, at least he enjoys what he does," Domino said as she quickly moved to get back up.
"You… do of course have a plan once we get to the boats, right my glorious queen?" Gast asked nervously.
"I do," Daenerys said.
"Do you really?" Ser Jorah asked, leaning in so only she could hear him.
"Does 'think of another plan' count as a plan?" she asked before shaking her head. "We just need to get our people safe and then we can figure out our next step."
"Wise…" Ser Jorah began only for the ground to tremble and roll under their feet. They turned… to see the Juggernaut racing towards them, easily smashing aside any who got in his way with his meaty hands. "Or it was."
"Form the line!" Grey Worm shouted and the Unsullied around them moved to become a wall of spears. Even those that hadn't originally joined with her when she taken control of the army, who had belonged to the Masters of Meereen, obeyed Grey Worm's commands and moved to stand shoulder to shoulder with their freed brothers, speaks lowering to try and stop the Juggernaut.
"So, uh," Gast said nervously as the Juggernaut continued his charge, "this might be a bad time to inform you of this but Cain Marko has a… reputation."
"I can only imagine," Daenerys said dryly.
"No, uh, not any of that," Gast admitted, looking about nervously. "See, the thing, uh, of it is that he is known… you can create fire, right?"
"Yes," Daenerys lied. It was utterly natural for her to claim she could create fire rather than just control it; never give your enemies, even those that had bent the knee, knowledge they could use against you. "Can he do the same?"
"No but… well… it is an open secret in Essos that there are-" He paused as the high wall of Meereen shuddered and great stone blocks began to fall… along with bodies. Daenerys looked back to see that the Hulk had reengaged with the Juggernaut and the two of them were trading blows that would reduce a normal person to a fine paste. For the two giants it merely caused everything else around them to shake and tremble. The Hulk grabbed the Juggernaut's wrist and spun him hard into the high wall, causing a massive crack to form in it. Dany watched, almost dumb founded, as the crack grew, racing up to the top and causing part of the wall to snap off, those that had been watching from what they thought was the safety of the wall screaming as they were sent plummeting to their doom, smashing into the ground around Hulk and the Juggernaut. The two of them didn't even seem to notice or if they did they honestly didn't care. At one point the Juggernaut stepped on a twitching body, crushing the person's skull like a child stomping on a piece of fallen fruit, and didn't even bother to look down.
Logan let out a roar, startling Daenerys into stopping, and she watched as he raced from the crowd, leaping up onto the Hulk's back before using him as a springboard to leap onto the Juggernaut. His claws flashed and he began to slice at his foe's bare arms, slashing at the flesh and muscle, cutting great swaths into his skin before the Juggernaut grabbed him by the head and began to laugh. Logan kicked his legs out, trying to free himself, only for the Juggernaut to slam a big boot into the Hulk, driving him back before he thrust his arm down, driving Logan into the ground.
"You are a rabid little mutt, ain' ya?" the Juggernaut taunted, looking down at Logan. "Just don't know when ta stop bitin' at me. But…" he grinned and pressed his foot down on Logan's chest, holding him in place before focusing on the rising Hulk, "…stay down like a good dog while I take care of this green bastard. I'll try not to put too much weight on ya, tiny!"
Logan roared and cursed and slashed at the Juggernaut's armored boots but he couldn't move the foot which meant he was pinned, forced to try and move his head one way or the other as the Hulk stormed forward once more.
"Hulk SMASH!" the green giant roared, throwing a heavy haymaker right at the Juggernaut who easily deflected the blow. For all his appearances of being a mindless brute the Juggernaut fought like a warrior monk of Ye Ti, bobbing and wreathing about as he sought to find openings against his opponent. Even with one foot locked down to keep Logan pinned he still managed to dance about, frustrating the Hulk by refusing to allow him to land a solid blow.
"We need to keep moving, your grace," Ser Barristan said, grabbing her arm. "We do them no good distracting them."
"Right, of course. We make for-" the wall trembled again, though this time because the Hulk had decided to leap at it himself. He struck it hard before pushing off, his feet causing it to buckle as he raced at the Juggernaut, finally managing to tackle him and freeing Logan who got up and hissed in pain, rubbing his chest before hurrying back into the fight. But thanks to the strike the wall was fissuring and falling apart and Dany turned to see their path suddenly blocked as a great section crashed down right in front of them, crushing some fleeing Masters and cutting off their route to the ships. "-into the city," Daenerys said.
"The Great Pyramid, I think," Ser Jorah said, waving for some of the Dothraki screamers who had been in the stands and had been delayed in getting away from the fighting pit to join them. "It looks like it is the most stable."
"A good place to wait things out," Daenerys agreed and her swollen group plunged into Meereen itself.
The citizens were in a panic, screaming and crying out as it became clear to them that things had gone terribly wrong and they were no longer safe behind their walls. Some ran about without a thought of where they were going; they passed one woman who kept going into a building only to race out of it, eyes wild in madness. One of the pleasure dens emptied out and all manner of naked men and women of every skin color and body size hurried out into the street, not caring in the slightest that they lacked clothing or that their genitals were coated with the juices of whatever partner they'd been with only moments early. Wagons were overturned and she could see smoke rising in the distance. Some slaves, seeing Dany, thought that this was part of some plan to break their chains and seized their chance at freedom. They turned on their masters, falling upon them, bashing their heads against the ground or kicking them till they coughed blood before crying out her name.
'I knew this wouldn't be clean,' she thought to herself as she hurried through the streets. In the distance she heard a child wail and all she wanted to do was break away and find the little one and cradle them in her arms. Tell them that she was sorry this was happening and she would do all she could to help them. But she couldn't… because in the opposite direction she heard someone else screaming for help. The entire city was crying out. 'Viktor drilled it into my head that war is never clean. And yet…' She looked about, her stomach twisting in disgust, 'I never thought it would be this bad.'
She ignored the whispering voice that taunted her that she had known it was this horrible… but she had been too greedy to care.
'The Iron Throne. The Red Keep. Westeros. All those lords that never thought about what you went through, the fear you felt as you ran from one home to the next, never knowing if your next host would be someone truly kind who wished to help… or a cruel brute who saw you as merely yet another prize to claim… all those lords forced to bow before you. To bend the knee and beg for your forgiveness. You HUNGERED for it. For that validation. Well, here it is Dany… here is the cost for your greed and your desires. Are you full? Because this is only the first… Westeros will not bend the knee easily to the Mad King's daughter, the Khaalesi with oil in her hair and mud between her toes. This is the fate of Oldtown, of Lannisport, of Gulltown. This is what is coming… does this slate your thirst?'
She didn't answer. Instead she just kept pressing on, allowing herself to be swept forward by her loyal guards, moving towards the Great Pyramid of Meereen.
It was a massive structure. She hadn't really understood just how large it was when she'd spied the top of it from the outside of the city. But now racing towards it she couldn't help but swallow at its towering height. It made her dizzy to try and stare up at it and as she plunged into one of the openings, Gast calling out for them to shut the gates behind them, she felt as if she were being swallowed whole by the great structure, doomed to never escape again.
And yet she couldn't dwell on that for long for there was so much more to focus on. The gateholders were sealing up the pyramid and Gast was motioning for them to follow him towards some stairs. Daenerys though couldn't help but gawk; while she had been told that the Masters used the Pyramid's ground floor as stables for horses and mules and donkeys she hadn't realized that they kept great elephants as well. Giant gray beasts with dark eyes and long trunks that, despite the chaos around them, simply kept grabbing great grasps of hay to shovel into their mouths. The fences that formed the boundaries of their pens seemed pathetically small and weak to Dany's eyes but then she was being grabbed by Ser Jorah and yanked towards some stairs and she lost sight of the great beasts.
Up they raced, hurrying along both stairs cut from the same sand-colored stone that made up the Pyramid as well as ramps that rose steadily up into the sky. Dany was twisted about, unable to tell which way they were going, but she trusted Gast to get them to safety… or at the very least she trusted herself to be able to deal with the man if he decided to do something foolish.
"No, this way!" Gast called out as Domino moved towards another ramp and they turned to see that Gast was gesturing towards a set of stairs… that led down.
"I thought we were trying to get high," Ser Barristan said gruffly.
Gast shook his head at that. "We are trying to lose the Juggernaut. This will take us down to a different part of the stables. We'll get some horses and make for your ships… hopefully we can sail out before he, uh, realizes that we aren't here."
"I hate to break it to you but I think we lost him pretty good," Domino said.
The entire pyramid shook.
"First off for someone who says her super power is good luck you have no idea how fucking jinxes work!" Wade complained from his place in Grayworm's arms. "Second off luck isn't a super power. That is stupid and you should feel ashamed for ever suggesting it."
The pyramid shook ahead and Daenerys looked around. "What was that?"
"If, uh, I had to guess?" Gast asked nervously. "The Juggernaut."
"He's attacking the Pyramid?" Daenerys asked, wincing at how shrill her voice sounded.
"Most likely he's already inside," Gast stated.
"…how?!"
"That's what I was trying to tell you," the Master said weakly. "Juggernaut… he has a power, just like you do Khaalesi."
"And that is?" she pressed.
"It is said that he is the Unstoppable Object. When he begins moving… he doesn't stop-"
The floor exploded in front of them, Daenerys throwing her hands up against the spray of stone and rock that struck at her. Ser Jorah cried out, clutching at his left eye, and Dany looked at him, placing a hand on his shoulder. She was ready to ask him where he'd been hit and to try and assist him only to freeze up with a massive hand rose from the hole in the ground and the Juggernaut slowly pulled himself up to their level.
"Well well well," the massive armored man said with a smirk, "look at what I found hanging out in here. A bunch of little rats, trying to scurry away from me." He clicked his tongue, shaking his head before slowly making his way towards them, his footfalls echoing through the stone hall. "You led me on an interesting chase… so many corpses, so little time…" He cracked his knuckles and Daenerys noticed that his hands were coated in blood. "But don't worry… I saved plenty of strength for all of you."
"Thank you but that isn't needed," Daenerys said before thrusting out her hands, her bracers clicking and sending out twin streams of fire. She felt the flames calling to her and she grinned, bracing her feet as she made them grow larger, striking right into the Juggernaut's chest before splashing off and swirling back around to hit him in the spine and the sides, locking him in place. She focused on the flames, their warmth becoming her own heat which she then sent right back at them, a cycle that caused them to grow hotter.
Wade let out a huff. "Don't just standing there thinking about how much of a tragedy it is that my ass is now a league away because you idiots forgot to bring it with you!" He bobbed his head back and forth. "Because don't worry, it will grow back! But the important thing is for us to actually HELP the Mother of Dragons and Flasher of Pale Titties over there defeat the Juggernaut! Because I can tell this fight hasn't gone on long enough so there must be more to go! No way Chaos allows it to wrap up this soon!"
"What would you have us do?" Ser Barristan snapped from where he was kneeling next to Ser Jorah, looking over his injury. Dany changed a glance at him and grimaced as she saw that it hadn't been just his face to get hit but his right arm as well sported gashes and chunks. That only made her all the more determined to send more flames at the Juggernaut, the massive brute now shielding his face even as his breastplate began to glow from the heat she was sending his way.
"I don't know!" Wade said. "I'm just a head and torso. Throw something!"
Grayworm looked down at the mercenary.
"…noooooo," Wade said slowly.
"I'm all for throwing him," Domino stated.
"I personally wouldn't mind," Gast admitted.
"You don't get to vote! In fact only people I am pointing at can vote! See me not pointing at anyone? That means none of you can vote!"
The Juggernaut let out a laugh.
"See, he found it funny!" Wade commented. "Also oh fuck he's laughing while Dany is trying to bake him alive!" He began to wiggle in Greyworm's arms. "Throw me! Out a window! I bet I bounce!"
Daenerys though tuned out Wade's pleas and focused on the fires. The flames had gone from red to orange to yellow and were now growing so bright that they were beginning to border on white. But even as she did so, heating up the Juggernaut's armor so hot it was glowing like a candle, he had stopped shielding himself and was now just… laughing. Laughing and twisting his body like a child playing under a waterfall, letting it splash against his skin.
"Heh… that tickles," Juggernaut said before taking a step forward. "Maybe I'll keep you around and let you massage all the tension from my shoulders after a hard day of rulin' this stinkin' city!"
"How?" Daenerys whispered in shock as he got closer to her, forcing her to finally begin backing up.
"This one tell you my powers?" he asked, jabbing a finger in Gast's direction. "When I decide on something and begin charging forward nothin' stops me. All you idiots think that just means that I can stomp through walls. But that ain't the case. Nothing. Can. Stop. Me. Not stone… not flames…"
He suddenly leapt forward, far too fast for someone his size, and wrapped his hands around Dany's wrists, catching her fires in his palms. She can feel the fire still but it wasn't burning anything, leaving her staring up at the Juggernaut as he leered at her from beneath his helmet.
"Not… you," he said and she felt him begin to squeeze.
Logan let out a bellow, suddenly leaping from the hole the Juggernaut had made and driving his claws into the Juggernaut's forearms, sending up blasts of hot blood.
"Let her fucking go," he snarled.
The Juggernaut smirked. "Poor choice of words, tiny." He used one hand to backhand Logan, sending him flying back into the wall with a crunch, before spinning and punching a wall, causing it to crumble and reveal Meereen stretching out before them. "But hey… I'm game for seeing if she can fly!"
Daenerys felt herself being yanked off her feet, just catching the sight of more of the floor crumbling as the Hulk leapt up to join them, and then she was soaring through the air, tumbling fast and hard, the world and the sky spinning about her wildly.
There were times in her life where, with illuminating clarity, she had realized the truth of the world. Pierced through the shadows created by honeyed words and lies and seen what was really happening. That the grand marriage Magister Illyrio had promised her was really her being sold off to a savage horse lord. That her brother no longer saw her as the little sister he was supposed to protect but as a threat to his crown that needed to be slain. That her kindness had caused Drogo's death and doomed her to spend the rest of her days as a crone within the Dothraki's holy city, serving others. That Viktor was right and her father had been a monster.
And now she saw… she was going to die.
Even if she was able to call out to her dragons, beg them to save her, they wouldn't reach her in time. The Hulk… maybe he could have leapt and caught her but he was fighting the Juggernaut. And she was falling so quickly… and from such a great height… that when she hit the ground she would be dashed and crushed.
She was going to die.
'Yet…' she thought to herself as she felt her stomach lurch and her flight turn into a freefall. The flames were still with her, clinging to her body, licking at her leathers causing them to singe and smoke. They called to her and with the only other choice being a rather grisly collision with the ground, she was more than happy to thrust out her hands and willing the flames to grow.
They swirled around her, pressing closer and closer. Her top and her pants began to burn and she felt her boots crack as the leather rapidly dried out. She pushed on, even as her bracers fell apart; she didn't need them anymore, not with the fire burning around her, feeding on her own garments and her will, allowing the flames to increase. She willed them tighter to her body as she felt her undergarments become reduced to ashes until all she wore was the flames.
Which was right.
She was the Firestar.
'My marriage was grand for I made it grand. A Targaryen is destined to sit the Iron Throne again but it is not my brother. My fate is not tied to ancient practice but what I make it. And I will not die here today!'
With a burst of flames from her palms she righted herself, only a meter or two away from the ground. The screaming populous went silent, staring at her, and when Daenerys caught her reflection a merchant's mirror she understood why. Not an inch of her skin was now visible for the flames completely coated her form. It was similar to when she'd escapade the House of the Undying only that time she had been a tiny being in the heart of a fiery chimera. Now she was the beast and as she smiled the flames around her face shifted, becoming sharper and clearer until them resembled her own features. Every curve and dip of her body was on full display yet also hidden by the burning white flames that coated her body, granting her freedom and privacy at the same moment. She tilted her head before she smiled all the more brightly, thrilled by the evolution of her powers.
An explosion filled the air and Dany snapped her head back towards the Pyramid, seeing the Juggernaut, the Hulk, and Logan were now fighting on its surface, climbing towards the top where the statue of the harpie sat watching over the city. Logan was using his claws to scale the structure while the Hulk and the Juggernaut were ripping great chunks from its surface with their bare hands, often hurling them at each other in an attempt to dislodge their rival.
Without a word Daenerys rocketed into the sky, the flames around her feet and legs firing down until it appeared that her entire lower body was just a plume of flames. She streaked back towards the pyramid in time to see the Juggernaut and the Hulk both end up on the highest level, one that had been carved out to form a great balcony where she knew the rich and powerful of Meereen had once sat and dined and looked down at the city created on the ocean of tears the slaves had wept. The Hulk roared and punched the Juggernaut in the jaw, snapping his head back, only for the massive brute to rush his head forward, cracking his dome-covered head into the Hulk's, causing him to wobble like a drunkard, flinging his hand about as he tried to steady himself. The Juggernaut though merely laughed and grabbed onto his wrist, planting a boot on the Hulk's chest before he began to pull, the Hulk bellowing in pain as his shoulder began to separate from his torso.
Daenerys thrust out her hands and let loose a stream of flames right in the Juggernaut's eyes.
He screamed and let go, clawing at his face before finally turning towards her, teeth bared in a snarl as he jabbed a meaty hand in her direction. "You fucking cunt!" he ranted, eyes squinting as he struggled to see again. "I'm going to yank those pale legs of yours apart and split you in half with my cock!"
"Why is it everyone always jumps right to threats of rape?" Dany asked, eyes narrowed as she zipped behind the Juggernaut, easily staying out of his reach before launching a pair of burning orbs that slammed into his back, causing the Juggernaut to fall to one knee. "If I had a gold bar for every boisterous blowhard who declared he was going to rape me I wouldn't need the coffers of Slaver's Bay… I'd merely buy the Iron Throne myself."
The Juggernaut raged at her quips and leapt at her, Dany though easily flying to the side so that he only ended up landing on the very peak of the pyramid. Her foe snarled and grabbed at one of the harpie's wings, ripping it free before twisting the metal around his arm to form a shield. He snatched up its foreleg and tore that free too, slamming it against his shield like a club.
"I'm gonna bash your brains in until all ya can do is lie in the street and drool!"
"You'll have to catch me first," Dany taunted before firing on the Juggernaut, forcing him to raise his shield.
Logan suddenly let out a bellow and Daenerys stopped her attack, allowing him to land on the Juggernaut's back and slash at his helm. But rather than attack the top he focused on the sides and suddenly there was a pop as he caught one of the latches and the entire thing began to bounce about wildly. The Juggernaut snarled at that and grabbed for Logan but was hindered by the shield he had fashioned, making his attempts clumsy. Those few moments gave Logan the time he needed, allowing him to kick off from the Juggernaut's back, landing back on the balcony… just in time for the Hulk to leap at the Juggernaut and punch him in the gut, denting his plate before the green giant grabbed at the helm and pulled with all his might, finally wrenching it free before the Juggernaut slammed his club into his side, knocking him back down.
His face was wrong. For someone so large and so brutal he should not have had a face that was so… plain. Short brown hair, a square jaw, dark eyes… but nothing strange or different about him other than his size. No hideous scars, no facial deformities. Just a man. One if she saw on the street, the same height as everyone else, she wouldn't have thought twice about.
And then he opened his mouth and all those normal features twisted into something vile.
"You fucking cunt bitch!" the Juggernaut roared, waving his bludgeon in her direction. "You think you can float there, your floppy fire tits and burning cunt visible to the world, and hurt me! I'm the Juggernaut! I am Unstoppable!"
"Undying, undefeated, unstoppable," Daenerys said in a bored tone. "Time and again I prove that for all the claims that something is known and decided and impossible to change… they are not that." She held out her arms, the flames around her legs allowing her to hover in place. "I am the Firestar. I take what cannot be and make it so."
"I'm going to tear your head off and cram it up your cunt!"
"And that's another gold brick," she muttered before she heard a familiar sound on the wind. "You've made your final mistake, Cain Marko."
That made the Juggernaut laugh. "Oh? Is this where you tell me how you are going to defeat me and it was a mistake to challenge you? Heh, I've heard that many times, Fire Bitch… usually followed by screams and pleas for mercy."
"The only one that is going to beg is you, Marko," Dany informed him. "Because of your error."
"And what is that?"
"You threatened a dragon's mother."
Drogan's roar filled the air.
The Juggernaut turned his head to the right, staring at the great black dragon that was now flying towards him… not noticing Viserion, her quiet and clever child, diving down from the left until he swooped down, teeth grasping onto the Juggernaut's weapon and tearing it from his grasp, flying off before the man could take a swing at him. Rhaegal flew over to her, flapping his wings as he came up next to her, clearly surprised yet also delighted that his mother could join him in the air. Daenerys smiled and reached out, her burning fingers stroking his cheek; fire could not harm a dragon.
"My ancestors were dragonriders!" she called out as Viserion circled back around while Drogan came to a stop and glared at the man that had threatened his mother. "They took the dragons as their mounts. Some saw them as good friends, others a beasts to try and master. But these are my children! I am not a dragonrider… my children will have no riders! They are free! As will Slaver's Bay be made free!"
'Now?' she heard whispered in her head, three eager voices rumbling amongst her own.
Dany smirked. "Dracarys."
All four of them sucked in a lungfull of air… before the family, as one, unleashed four gluts of flames right at the Juggernaut, his screams lost in the inferno they created at the top of the pyramid, melting the last remains of the harpie as they ignited a dragon star in the heart of the city.
The Juggernaut screamed in the inferno… but these were cut short. For while dragon fire did not need air to grow they would consume them all the same. And trapped in a vortex of flames it didn't matter how hard the Juggernaut could strike… he still needed to breathe.
Daenerys smiled as she finally released her flames, watching as the unconscious form of the Juggernaut sunk into the melted golden top of the Great Pyramid of Mereen.
