Author's Note : Hello there readers! I bid you welcome to my very first fanfic! So, I have been scouring the web for a good MHA x Doctor Fate Crossover, but I haven't found one in English yet, so I decided to take a stab at it. Hopefully everything pans out well. Still trying to straighten out a few kinks here and there so I apologize in advance! That being said, I welcome any supportive criticisms and inputs, but no flames please! Anyway, on with the story!

PROLOGUE
Most people in this world believe in a simple truth. That there are always two polarizing force in every human lives. These two forces help shape our outlook on life, as well as our choices, both big and small, and ultimately, the person we become. Some called it good and evil, others believe it's good luck and misfortune. Well, after all that I've seen in my long life, I rather call it Order and Chaos.
In my view, these two contradicting forces is the basis of all life. Civilizations rose and fell, and time rages on, but these two stay eternal, locked in an everlasting struggle against one another. What amuse me to this day is that men still believe that they could control these two aspects. As if they are the writers of their own destiny. However, the terrible, yet inescapable fact is that all men are playthings for Order and Chaos, whether they realize it or not.
After hearing all of this, you must think that I'm nothing but a nihilist, a man who lost too much in his short time here on Earth and is now a raving lunatic shouting nonsense to an uninterested crowd. I wouldn't blame you. But, if you care to stay, you would find that this fantastic world of Heroes and Villains is but a miniscule speck in our real existence.
So, do you have the heart to listen?
MUSUTAFU, JAPAN
The sobs of a 4-year-old boy is heard throughout the playground. It was the middle of recess, but strangely, none of the other children seemed to notice the boy's plight. Only one of them made the choice to step in and try to help the boy, as his heart wouldn't let a defenseless child get pushed around. "Kacchan, that's m-mean! D-don't you see he's c-crying! If y-you don't stop now, I'll-I'll s-stop you m-myself!" a boy with dark green hair said as he stands uncertainly in front of another boy, this one with ash blond hair, and his two lackeys. Barely holding in his own tears, Izuku Midoriya, age 4, balled his shaking fists in an attempt to strengthen his resolve. 'I've got to protect him, just like All Might!' he thought.
Opposite him, Izuku's childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou, also known to his Izuku as 'Kacchan', just stared at the quavering young boy with an arrogant smile. "Heh. Even though you're Quirkless, you still think you could play at being the hero, huh?! Deku?!" He sneered, shouting Izuku's demeaning nickname at the end.
Still standing over his crying classmate, Izuku could only let out a high-pitched shriek as he was attacked three-to-one. The beating he received was quite brutal, but at least it was done swiftly. The bullies wouldn't want the grown-ups to notice, after all. Afterwards, Izuku lie there on the ground, under the heat of the midday sun, where he could do nothing but think of his current predicament.
You see, for as long as he could remember, little Izuku has only one simple goal in his mind. To be a hero who could save others, all while wearing a smile. This dream was conceived ever since he first saw the debut of Japan's very own Symbol of Peace, and arguably its strongest Pro-Hero, All Might. How can such a thing be possible, you may ask? Well, this world is a bit different to our world, whereas the citizens of this world has evolved to a point where 80% of the world's population has what they call, a "Quirk". A special superhuman ability or power of some sort. Most of the people will first display their Quirk on their 4th birthday, with some late bloomers here and there.
Surely with this fact, the world is filled with all kinds of powerful people with Quirks who doesn't know what to do with this sudden talent. Most of them, regrettably, turned to crime. This is where the profession of Pro-Heroes is accounted for. They handle the "villains" with their own Quirk and hand them to the local police to be arrested. Alas, not everything is perfect in this brave new world. The rest of the population is deemed as "Quirkless" and treated as handicaps or flawed people, simply because they were simple human beings.
As you can tell by the earlier exchange, Izuku Midoriya is one of these "Quirkless".
At the tender age of four, Izuku Midoriya has learned that not all men are created equal.
Hearing the bell that signals the end of recess, Izuku quickly gets up, patched himself up as best as he could, and limps back inside his classroom. He didn't notice the subtle drops of rain that falls from the skies, nor the faint traces of clouds that shrouds the sun.
11 YEARS LATER
ALDERA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Just like every other pre-teen, Izuku Midoriya hated going to school. But his reasons may not fit the usual adolescent's complains of "School is so boring!" or "I'd rather hang out with my friends!". No, his particular reasons on why he thinks school is hell is because A; he doesn't have a single friend in his Middle School, and B; he is constantly bullied by his classmates because of his Quirkless status and his lofty dream. Case in point…
"Well, since you're all Third Year students, it's time to think about your futures and what you want to do with your lives. I could pass out handouts for your future plans now, but… You're all pretty much planning for the Hero Course, right!" Izuku's Homeroom Teacher shouted, as he threw all of the handouts in the air.
"Yeahh, That's right!" The whole class cheers and shows off their various Quirks.
"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks! But using your powers at school is against the rules!" reminded the Homeroom teacher. "Hey Teach! Don't lump us all in the same group. I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects!" sneered Katsuki with pride. "Hey! That was uncalled for Katsuki!" said one of his classmates. "Yeah! You think you're better than us?!" another incredulously asked. Enraged, Katsuki shouts "You should all shut up like the extras you are! Come on! I'll take you all on!" He snarled.
"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to U.A. High, right, Bakugou?" the teacher asked. The rest of the class looks shocked, and murmurs started to spread across the students.
"U.A.? The national school?!" one whispered, flabbergasted.
"That school has a 0.2% acceptance rate!" another said in disbelief.
"It's impossible to get into!" shouted yet another one.
"That's exactly why you guys are just extras!" Katsuki shouted, getting excited. "I even aced the mock test! I'm the only one at this school who could possibly get into U.A.! I'll definitely surpass All Might and become the top hero!" Katsuki proudly roared to his classmates.
Izuku is no stranger to Katsuki's loud and rather obnoxious tendency to brag, but, not wanting to worsen the already precarious situation, he could do nothing but keep his head down and his hopes up that nobody would realize that he was also aiming for U.A. High.
"Oh yeah, Midoriya, you wanted to go to U.A., too, right?" the teacher said nonchalantly.
And with that, his hopes were shattered.
There was a pregnant pause as everybody in the room absorbed that tidbit of information.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Afterwards, the class erupted in mocking laughter.
"Huh? Midoriya? No way!" one student said incredulously.
"There is no way he's getting into the Hero course without a quirk!" another student mocked.
Hearing his classmate's less than encouraging comments, Izuku tried to come up with a response. He shakily stood up from his seat and said "Th-They got rid of that rule! There's just no precedent…." His response got cut short as Katsuki charges up to Izuku's desk and exploded it.
"AARRGH!" He roared, "Listen up, Deku. You're even worse than these damn rejects, you quirkless wannabe. You really think they'll let someone like you in when they can have me?!" shouted Katsuki with some venom and a lot of pride.
Izuku looks up at Katsuki, humiliated and a little fearful, but not discouraged "No, wait, Kacchan! It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything!" Izuku said while scooting back, "Believe me!" he cried. "It's just that it's been my goal ever since I was little." He continued. "And well...I won't know unless I try…"
This does nothing to assuage Katsuki's volatile temper though. In fact, it only provokes him even more. "Whaddya mean, unless you try?!" Katsuki asked incredulously. "Are you taking the test for fun?! What the hell can you do? You're Quirkless!" he shouted to his former best friend, explosive sparks coming out of his palms.
Izuku desperately wanted the whole spectacle to stop. But alas, his homeroom teacher did nothing to diffuse the situation. He even seemed to enjoy what's going on, if the hint of a smirk on his face is anything to go by. Izuku started to lose faith, until a voice he never heard before said, quite sternly "Alright, that's quite enough, Bakugou-san".
The whole class looked to the entrance of the class to find the source of the voice, where they see a middle aged man, seemingly of Western origin, wearing a formal-looking suit and vest, and holding an old, elegant-looking walking stick, locking eyes with the explosive ash-blond boy.
Katsuki was just about to tell him to piss off and mind his own business, but then he noticed that the Principal was right next to this stranger and doing so would ruin his seemingly perfect conduct on his permanent record. So, with a low growl, he stomped back to his seat and let Izuku off the hook. For now.
Looking quite curious, but not too worried of this new development, Izuku's homeroom teacher asked the Principal the obvious question, "Excuse me, Principal Tomio, but who is this man?" the teacher asked, trying to hide his snide attitude, but failing.
"Well, Saburo-san, this is the new World History teacher, replacing Makinami-san who decided to retire early last week." The Principal answered curtly. "Ah, is that so?" Saburo-san said skeptically. "Then it's nice to meet you, Mister…?" he left the question hanging, trying to gauge the new teacher's reaction.
Unbeknownst to the homeroom teacher and the principal, the students of the class have also been paying attention to the interaction between the three individuals, seeing where the conversation will go. This applied to Izuku himself. Strangely, he sensed an aura of aged wisdom and hidden strength from the enigmatic new teacher, something he noticed in many seasoned Pro-Heroes. But that's impossible, right?
The man took his hand and shook it, "A pleasure to meet you as well, Saburo-san. My name is Kent Nelson."
