Wheatley had gone missing.

All the while, she'd been fighting the urge to go over to security and demand for his location. She was fighting her strong urge to worry; to care; to help. She was fighting herself. She was fighting Caroline.

She found herself staring blankly at the panels in her chamber and at the screen displaying blue and orange busily trying to solve a chamber.

What was wrong with her? He'd only been missing for two days. Two days in the facility, however, was enough to signify he was good as dead. Shouldn't she be happy about that though? She shook her headpiece trying to release the tension she was feeling. She should have been feeling happy. She wasn't. She was ill, upset, and hopelessly worried. She'd never felt this way for anyone, ever. Except for her, the lunatic mute.

She immediately slammed some panels down in her chamber in frustration.

She'd felt that way because as much as she didn't like to admit it the lunatic mute had been the only person to have ever been as close to a friend. Give or take it was true.

Chell took on turrets, bombs, suffocation, and explosions just to help her get back into the chassis. She'd portaled to a new frontier just to help. GLaDOS hadn't bailed on her too, even as a worthless potato.

She'd been her only friend and she'd let her go because that was the right thing to do. Not only that, Chell was destructive and very stubborn. The friendship probably wouldn't have lasted long after that but they'd been friends nevertheless.

Now GlaDos was alone and friendless again. Up until Wheatley, the disk wiped core showed up.

He didn't know her the slightest. He didn't know what she'd done in her past, he didn't have any expectations of her either. The other cores did. They were afraid of her, he wasn't; not anymore. He truly believed they'd been friends and probably still did, but he wouldn't anymore if she didn't find him soon. He'd say she left him to die, that she was selfish and cruel. She didn't want that. She would lose her chance to obtain a new friendship.

She needed to find him and fast!

Her time was draining fast and if he didn't end up dying he'd lose his trust in her forever, like everyone else, and getting any friendship going would be hopeless.

"Blue! Orange!" She snapped at the screen.

"Stop messing around! There is an emergency in the name of science and I need you two now!"
