Shut the Door

Just shut the door and forget me,

Forget everything you've ever seen,

You've never really seen much,

A shy smile

A cautious laugh

Nothing you'll really remember,

It doesn't matter because you've got her,

She draws everyone's attention,

A loud voice

An infectious smile

To gain recognition I'll run miles,

Just so I'll receive a knowing smile,

But when she enters your on your feet,

A new story to tell

At my expense

So why don't I save you the trouble,

Because it seems this room is full,

I'll leave you to your admiring,

Her simple beauty

Her glowing soul

I'll go open the door and stand there,

Wondering why life isn't fair,

You can all stop and look for a moment,

Then you take the handle

And shut the door it behind me.

For me this poem is looking at how Starfire felt during 'sisters' I wrote it because I've been feeling down about my own sister lately, she seems all Blackfire without the criminal…sadly. -.- Being the middle child/youngest sucks you know.
