Note to those who had read chapter 3 when it first came out: I would like to apologize for the mess that was chapter 3. I had accidentally posted a draft and some of my notes for the fight were still within the text.

Yeah yeah Crystal, yuck it up *amused eye roll*

I have gone through and fixed most of the errors (There might still be some hiding that I'll get sooner or later).

Now, I'm glad you all liked the fight between Danny and Amazo. I have no idea what OP means, but I'm guessing it means something along the lines of 'Danny = god level' or something like that. What I am trying to do is to have a balance of Danny's power level; strong but not over-powered- OMG, THAT'S WHAT OP STANDS FOR! *facepalm*

Anywho… yeah, a good balance is what I'm going for! This will be covered some more in this chapter a bit. I was going to have it in the last chapter, but I like how I ended it.

Speaking of the ending; you guys are awesome! Bwahahaha! Yes Vlad has ended up here as well and is up to his old tricks again.

I totally agree 'SilverExcel115' that a good pairing should be thought out and relationships are well developed. To be honest, if this was set in YJ season 1, I would have probably paired Danny with Miss Martian. They would be so cute together and I haven't read a fic with them paired up. Nothing against Superboy here, just wanting to see something different.

Well, here's chapter 4.

…~~~oOo~~~…

Darkness is what met Danny as he blearily blinked his eyes, eyelids weighted down by exhaustion. Said eyes shot open when he did not recognize his surroundings nor recalled what had transpired.

The first thing he took notice of is that his pitch surroundings were moving. The continuous rocking and whirring of engines gave Danny the impression that he was traversing on the highway. The honking of a car horn confirmed his suspicions.

He was in some sort of truck.

After a moment of panic, Danny let out a sigh of relief when he found that he wasn't restrained. He was resting on something wrapped in a thick plastic. Firm and comfortable, the object was flat, bigger than him, had a slight springiness… A mattress?

He then recalled what had happened.

The fight with the android had lasted longer than any single fight he had combated with a foe. That and the fact that the robot was as easily as strong as, if not stronger than, some of his more powerful enemies; it had left him fatigued and injured. Danny, not wanting to be found by the strange people, had left Metropolis in a hurry. He had just crossed city limits, flying at a fast pace, when exhaustion hit him like crashing into Walker's front gates. He had fallen several feet from the air before catching himself.

That fight with Amazo had drained the teenager more than he had realized and he was loosing the energy to keep himself in the air. Danny then spotted a truck delivering mattresses driving on the freeway. Danny had phased himself into the truck and apparently passed out on the mattresses, succumbing to his exhaustion.

The truck jolted, causing Danny to grunt as he had bumped his side. Most of his other injuries had already healed; the scratches, scrapes, various bruises, sore jaw and tender left ankle. What still hadn't healed up were the bruised ribs.

'Note to self: stay away from maces and people wielding them.'

Fortunately, it will be completely gone in no time. This wouldn't be the first time, nor will it be the last time, that Danny was grateful for the near miraculous healing abilities his powers gave.

Danny became aware of the noise of traffic. Curious as to where he was, he phased his head invisibly. He must have slept longer than he thought; it was a new day. The morning sun greeted the halfa, causing him to squint and blink.

Once his eyes had adjusted, Danny took in his surroundings. The truck he had hitched a ride on cruised in moderate traffic. The buildings had a feel of importance. What looked to be a palatial sort of hotel passed by.

'Cathedral Park Condominiums,' Danny read on the awning overhanging the entrance. 'I wonder where I am?'

The truck soon stopped at a large crosswalk. What appeared to be tourists eagerly made their way to the cheerfully decorated entrance of…

'Smithsonian National Zoo- wait, Smithsonian? I'm in DC?!' Danny recognized the name of the zoo as Sam had, at one point, ranted about it.

Feeling his energy recovered, Danny transformed and left the truck. Invisibly following a tour group, he spotted a stand with pamphlets. Snatching one, he floated into a tree and browsed through it. Danny was too occupied to notice where his particular tree was.

'Definitely in DC,' Danny thought, reading the information. A long, grey nose popped into the branches, sniffing out the invisible teen. 'Awesome, I always wanted to go to Washington. Definitely gonna see-'

His train of thoughts were interrupted when he felt something poke his arm. "Huh?"

Turning his head, Danny chuckled at the curious nose sniffing him. He leaned a bit and got a good look at the elephant. Apparently he had chosen a tree right at the… 'Elephant Trail Exhibit' according to the pamphlet.

Seeing that there was no one around and that the tree hid him well enough, Danny dropped his invisibility. This didn't bother the elephant; quite the opposite actually. The trunk brushed his cheek and made its way to the snow-white hair, ruffling it as the elephant gave the teen its attention.

Danny giggled at the elephant's administrations, the long nose grazing a ticklish spot. "Hey there bud. Just saying hello?"

The elephant let out a small trumpet in response, then wrapped its trunk around Danny's middle.

"Woah, hey!" Danny exclaimed as the elephant attempted to pull him down. "I don't exactly belong down there-"

The elephant was stubborn, only tugging with a slight increase in force. Feeling himself coming down, Danny turned invisible. Again the elephant didn't seemed bothered by the sudden display of power, instead it just contented itself with holding the teen in its trunk.

Danny patted the grey animal's forehead, earning a pleased rumble from the elephant. It was then Danny had noticed two other elephants as the one carrying him ambled towards its zoomates. Somehow the other elephants could tell there was an invisible teenager in their buddy's trunk, for they were soon giving Danny their attention.

"Okay, okay!" Danny protested softly at the trunks nuzzling him. "Nice to meet you all."

"Mommy! Daddy!" A small child's voice caught their attention. "I want to see the tigers!" A young family came into view, the two parents and the young boy.

"Slow down buckaroo! Don't you want to see the elephants first?" The father asked his son, indicating the trio of elephants… and the invisible teen.

"Sorry fellas, I had better go." Danny didn't want to draw attention to himself, and elephants holding seemingly nothing would very likely draw that unwanted attention. The elephants made soft noises that sounded like disappointment, but obliged the teen by releasing him. Danny patted their trunks in goodbye, then flew off.

Spotting a tour bus, Danny followed as it passed many stores, restaurants and other tourist attractions. A majority of the buildings had the US flag hanging at the entrances.

Danny finally arrived at the White House and all the different nearby monuments.

"Man this will be so cool! I wish Sam and Tuck were here…" Danny frowned as his thoughts turned to his loved ones. "I wonder how everyone is doing back in Amity." Danny muttered to himself. He had been thinking of them more frequently as time passed.

It has been almost three weeks now since he had last seen home. His heart ached at the realization. Three weeks. Almost a full month at this point and neither he nor his friends have came up with a way for him to go home. Danny wasn't even sure if his friends had any idea that he was in another dimension. And he couldn't imagine the worry his parents and sister were feeling about his disappearance. His parents probably blame the ghosts.

The ghosts. How long would it take until the ghosts discover Danny's absence and invade, if they haven't already? Is Amity still even standing? How many people have gotten hurt since-

Danny took a deep breath. Freaking out will do him no good.

Danny found a secluded place to change back, surprising since there were so many tourists about. He walked up to the Lincoln Memorial. Since he was here, might as well "soak in some national history" as his sister would put it. He went inside, where the statue of the 16th president resided. The following was inscribed above the head.

IN THIS TEMPLE

AS IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE

FOR WHOM HE SAVED THE UNION

THE MEMORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

IS ENSHRINED FOREVER

Danny pulled out his phone and snapped a picture. He definitely wanted to show his friends and Jazz the places he visited when he returned home.

'That's assuming if you can get home.' Danny shoved the traitorous thought down.

He wove through the crowd, people chatting excitedly and gazing in wonder at the historic site.

Despite all the people around him, Danny felt utterly alone.

Back in Amity Park, three weeks earlier

The door of FentonWorks closed shut, the click reverberated through the quiet house as both Jack and Maddie trudged into the living room and collapsed onto the couch. Today marked the third day of Danny's disappearance.

Jack looked at his wife. Maddie leaned on the armrest of the couch listlessly. Dark bags rested under her sorrowful eyes and pale countenance completed the look, which reflected the worry he currently felt for their youngest and the previous sleepless nights.

And the upcoming restless nights until Danny returned home.

"Jack, what are we going to do?" His wife's soft voice was bearably audible, Jack almost missed the question. Not that it would matter as he had no answer. They sat in the quiet house, the refrigerator creating background noise.

Soft footsteps came down the stairs. "Mom? Dad?" Jazz came into the living room, flanked by her brother's friends. Jack couldn't help but smile at the two younger teens' loyalty to their friend. "We need to talk."

By the tone of her voice, Jack could tell that whatever Jazz had to say was important.

"What about Jazzerincess?" Jack knew Maddie was not in a state to fully engage, so he took the initiative. "Whatever you need to tell us, we're all ears."

Jazz claimed a seat on the armchair in a stiff posture, hands clasped firmly on her lap. Sam had contented to lean against the wall and Tucker plopped himself on the bottom step of the stairs.

"It's about Danny." This caught both Fenton parents' attention. The fierce broil of emotions churned in Jack's gut. "…and we may have a clue as to what might happened to him."

"You might?" Maddie's voice was barely a whisper.

Jazz shot a look to the younger teens before returning her attention to her parents. "Before we can explain, you first need to know something important."

"Remember when the portal didn't work at first?" A couple of confused nods were the response.

It was Tucker who then "Danny, Sam and I had gone down into the lab later that day. Both Sam and I wanted a peek and had convinced Danny to show us around. After some… talking-"

"I egged him on," Sam interjected her tech friend. "I'm the one that convinced Danny to-"

"Sam, now's not the time-"

"Danny went inside the portal to see if there was anything wrong." Jazz butted in, preventing the two friends from having a spat. "He accidentally found a on/off switch on the inside-"

"What?!" Maddie and Jacked gasped. "There was- but then-"

Jazz spoke up again. "While Danny ended up okay afterwards, he ended up… getting powers from the accident."

"Powers?"

Jazz pulled out a custom built camcorder. Both Fenton parents recognized it as they had built it themselves. The thing about ghosts and any other supernatural beings was that they had the passive ability to distort a person's perception of them. Hence how the ghosts went majorly unnoticed for quite some time. Even recording equipment, visual or audio, was effected. Jack and Maddie had to add filters to all their equipment, from the cameras to the Fenton Phones. The news crews had even made a deal with FentonWorks to upgrade their equipment so they could have adequate documentation of the specters.

The video was short, but clear and to the point: their currently missing son changing into Amity Park's infamous ghost boy.

"What? But…"

"Before any rash conclusions are jumped to, we're going to say this: Phantom and Danny are the same person. Danny's not overshadowed or replaced or anything." Jazz stated with such conviction.

"And he's innocent concerning the whole mayor kidnapping and the robberies." Tucker hastily added.

"…so all this time…"

"Danny's been keeping the town safe from the hostile ghosts. There are good ghosts by the way." Sam said.

"Wait, how does this involve Danny's disappearance?" Mrs. Fenton questioned.

"That's where it gets complicated." Sam muttered, the room turning their full attention to the goth.

Present day

Sam let out a sigh, watching the rain patter on her windowpane of her bedroom. For once ever since Danny's disappearance, the outside world matched how she felt on the inside.

Ever since the remainder of Team Phantom had told the Fenton parents the truth, they were now better able to coordinate with their ghost allies now that they didn't have to sneak behind the parents' backs.

At this point it had been deduced that Danny, since he had the Infimap on his person and the weird energy distortion, must have been teleported to a distant location. To where, no one was sure. As Frostbite had explained, the Infinite Realms stretched on and had many gateways that opened to anywhere on earth, anywhen, even to other dimensions.

"Woah woah! Dimensions? Like the whole 'multiverse' thing?" Tucker questioned.

"Indeed. Why else would you think this-" Frostbite gestured to their surroundings "-would be called 'the Infinite Realms', Hmm? We are in the Inter-dimension; the one that connects all the others."

"Fascinating!" Maddie had exclaimed with interest.

"As it is oh mother of the Great One. To put it in simple terms for the younglings: imagine the Infinite Realms as a blanket, with balls sitting on top. The balls are the different worlds and all are connected by the Infinite Realms. Now the blanket isn't 'simply' laid out flat. Imagine it's crumpled up and all the balls are somewhat tangled. This would symbolize how strong the connection of that dimension is to the Infinite Realms.

"Your dimension could be compared to a ball that's completely tangled in the sheets. The connection is so strong that the 'Ghost Zone' is sometimes called the flip side of the world. There are others with varying strengths of connections. Some dimensions are 'buried' like your world, some are 'partially covered', some 'sit nicely' on top of the blanket, and then there are the ones that managed to 'almost roll off' and are now on the edge. The ones on the edge simply have weak connections."

"How weak?" Sam asked.

"Try 'portals only open every 1000 years or when the planets all align' weak."

"So my little brother could be anywhere?" Jazz said with exasperation. "And just how many other dimensions are there?"

Frostbite let out a sigh. "Far too many to count I am afraid."

Now that wasn't reassuring in the least. Fortunately, Frostbite and Pandora had some tricks that could possibly locate their half-ghost friend and the Fentons were lending whatever aid they could.

Not even the assurances of whatever progress Frostbite, Pandora or the Fentons made can assuage the dread that loomed overhead. And it only grew worse as the GIW, since Danny wasn't around to keep the peace, have now started to claim a stake in Amity.

They had tried to cover up that Danny was MIA by having Amorpho do flybys, disguised as Danny. While the ruse had worked for sometime, the truth had somehow leaked and the town was slowly getting overrun. With this development, the GIW started implementing patrols.

The small branch of government lacked caution and had no regard for the safety of civilians. This caused much dissatisfaction, borderline civil unrest, among the people. Many of the citizens were petitioning the disbanding of the branch. Much to Sam's pleasure, her own parents were some of the elitists that were against the GIW.

Sam gazed drearily out the window, her face resting against the cool glass. Her hair was out of its usual topper ponytail, the unkempt hair falling into her face and the roots of her hair showing it's natural strawberry blond color. She had on her usual top, but it was paired with a pair of grey sweat pants. Sam didn't bother covering her feet. A picture of the trio was griped fiercely in her hands, the glossy surface retained the moist evidence of her sorrow and worry.

Where did Danny end up? Was he okay? An infinite amount of scenarios bounced around in her head as she thought of Danny. Was the place that he was in better than home? Or was he stuck in a war-torn world? For all Sam knew, he could be injured, starving, sick, hunted or some combination of all the above… or worse. She tried to think positive; that Danny found help and is doing fine. Keyword tried.

Even before she became a goth, Sam had the tendency to be pessimistic.

*knock*

"Sammykins? Are you doing alright?" Her mother inquired, worry evident even though muffled through the door.

All that Sam could do was mutter a soft "yes". Fortunately her mother had heard, explaining that Tucker had called to remind her of the plan to visit the mall before shuffling away.

Yes it was quite fortunate her mother had understood the unspoken message; her parents might have been more understanding towards their daughter, but Sam wanted a moment alone.

…~~~oOo~~~…

"-still no leads on the culprit of the chain of thefts."

"Thank you Marcelle. In other news: a new yet unknown hero came to the rescue in Metropolis. The identity of the youth that defeated Amazo remains unknown. We would provide a photo of the youth, but it seems one of his abilities can distort recordings of himself."

"It would seem that the young man is camera shy~."

"*chuckles* It would seem so! The Justice League has put out the notice that local officials to report to them if this young hero is seen. Young, Caucasian male clad in a black and white suit. A stylized 'D' with a 'P' made by the negative space of the logo can be seen on his chest. He has snow white hair, glowing green eyes-"

"He can walk through walls, disappear and fly! He's certainly more unique than the other guys."

The bell of the cafe tinkled as Danny entered through the front door. He noticed the tv mounted up, broadcasting his fight against the robot and the mention of some group called the Justice League.

Thanks to the small job at the Daily Planet, Danny had a basic idea of currents events. That included that people with powers were a more common appearance. Metropolis even had its own hero: some dude named Superman.

As far as Danny knew, the Justice League ('sounds like some sort of baseball team' he thought) had relations with the UN and dealt with global security or something.

So there's a group that had ties with several governments interested in him… Yeah, no. Having to deal with the GIW back home has left the teen feeling wary about authority figures of a similar status. The last thing Danny wanted was to get arrested in another dimension… or worst.

Danny was glad for the fact that his powers distorted any type of footage of himself.

Danny contented himself with his lunch, reaching the decision to lay low for the time being… That was the plan until the distance sound of combat alerted the teen, and several other people in the cafe, of conflict.

"And cue Murphy's law," the teen muttered, shoving the last of his sandwich into his mouth before ducking to find a secluded place.

"Hahn primas stagen tor hahn stratagem z toy. Imertda ka patient a hahn taerget a grabe hahn lure."

"Hahn lok weel la toy. Hahn Sho Lobo weel delivras ka keezy Marta."

Phantom clapped the invisible dirt off his gloves, having stopped some goons from robbing a store.

"Now that's taken care of, I'll go-" he was interrupted by more criminal activity. "Seriously? This is, like, the fifth one so far."

Danny then flew off to the source of the commotion, completely unaware of the hidden figure watching him from a distance. Finding the thugs breaking into a museum, he swiftly disarmed them.

Phantom alighted on top of a building, stretching himself. "Jeez what's with all the baddies today? Is it some sort of villain holiday today or something?"

He then got a sort of tingling sensation, the hairs on the back of his neck standing. For some reason, Danny had the vague feeling of being watched. It was kinda familiar; the sort of feeling of just before-

Phantom took to the air, narrowly dodging what looked to be a hooked line.

There stood a large, muscular, deathly pale skinned guy. Some sort of black makeup(?) surrounded dark red eyes that bore into the teen. The man's black hair was tied with a red knot and he was clad in a black vest, black pants, and fingerless gloves.

"Hey, what was that for?!" Danny huffed, feeling irritated. "And who the heck are you?"

"Plee-ay keezy Marta, suh sensatish loota fregg!" The grey guy growled out, grinning maliciously.

Danny's brow scrunched up. "English please: I don't speak moron."

Danny's snark seemed to anger the big guy. "Vlash! Ka keezy skahveyt Marta weel plee-ay a Hahn Sho Lobo!" He yelled out, indicating himself.

"Pttt, did you just call yourself Han Solo? I seriously doubt that's your name. You look more like a… Jabba the Hutt," The teen remarked with a snicker.

The man shouted some more at the teen before pressing something on his belt.

"You will surrender yourself to The Main Man!"

"Finally! I was getting tired of trying to make heads or tails of what you said. Now why would I want to surrender myself to you?"

Now the guy was back to grinning, "my employers paid me handsomely for your capture. I suggest you surrender now to The Main Man!" Apparently the guy expected Danny to be fearfull or something, because the questioning look from the teen surprised the bounty hunter.

"The who what now?"

"You don't know who I am? That's inconceivable!"

"Not as inconceivable as you think dude. I would remember seeing your ugly mug. Listen Jabba-" a growl of irritation is made by the bounty hunter as Danny's talking, "-I'm not going anywhere with you, so leave me alone!"

"Very well, be ready for pain!"

Elsewhere, a raven-haired woman was leaving her apartment. The woman was dressed semi-casual: nice but not formal.

"Hey Diana, you're looking nice today," the woman's neighbor complemented.

Diana smiled. "Thank you Bethany. Bruce and I are going out to lunch and catch up a bit."

Diana Prince was just leaving the neighborhood when she heard the sounds of combat. She pulled out her phone and dialed.

"Hello Bruce? I'm going to be late for our lunch."

The Czarnian let out a roar as he charged the teen, fist cocked to land a hit. Anticipating the attack, Phantom not only caught the fist, but flung the hunter using the man's momentum. Lobo gave a grunt, pulling himself from the ground. He wasn't expecting the small teen to be so strong.

"Inconceivable…" he muttered before charging again.

Danny dodged an onslaught of punches, blocking and occasionally throwing one of his own. It wasn't long before one punch landed in the gut, knocking the teen back with a grunt from the pain. Apparently the man can hit… really hard. Phantom floated upwards, contenting himself to remain out of the bounty hunter's reach.

Danny then smirked when he realized the bounty hunter couldn't fly. "Well, not that this wasn't fun, but I have places to be," He snarked before flying off.

Danny let himself relax a bit, feeling certain that he had lost the bounty hunter. The odd whir of a machine brought Danny out his thoughts. It vaguely reminded him of rockets… He turned to look behind him, and gaped at Lobo coming in on a flying motorcycle.

"Dang! You know, I should have expected something like this."

It was then the motorcycle shot out a barrage of lasers. Danny conjured up a shield, effectively blocking the weapon fire. Danny then sped off, the bounty hunter on his spectral tail.

"Now how to get rid of this guy- oh duh, ghost powers! Invisibility!"

Danny then dropped from the visible spectrum, moving to fly the opposite direction. He smirked when he saw Lobo's irritated face.

'Sucker'

Danny made good progress on putting distance between himself and 'The Main Man' dude when the motorcycle came barreling in his direction.

Danny did a double take, wondering how the guy had found him again since the teen was still invisible. He barely dodged the shot of the laser guns, deciding to drop his invisibility since the man knew he was there.

"Okay motorhead, you asked for it!"

White gloved hands glowed green as Phantom shot at the airborne cycle, some landed good hits, but most were avoided by the bounty hunter. Danny wove around the lasers and nets shot at him.

Danny flew up to avoid strafes of rockets, which struck a billboard and exploded on impact.

"Missiles, my old nemesis…"

Several more rockets flew at the teen. Phantom dodged the missiles, but then saw them loop back.

"Of course they're tracking missiles!"

Phantom took off, the rockets following close behind. Lobo sat on his bike, smirking malevolently as he watched his quarry flee from the missiles. He figured that as soon as the teen was struck down, he'll come in and restrain the target. He was to be sorely disappointed.

The teen had whipped around, leading the missiles right to the bounty hunter before disappearing. The missiles struck the bike and Lobo was sent spiraling as he tried to regain stability in the air, but ultimately crashed. Smoke came from the downed bike. Danny popped up in a different spot, feeling lightheaded.

The Czarnian bounty hunter emerged from the smoke his wrecked bike on a jet pack, sending a glare at the teen. "You're going to be sorry for resisting The Main Man!"

"Sorry, but I'm not feeling all that sorry right now!" Danny smirked. This was starting to feel all too familiar to the teen.

Lobo then flew at the teen, starting a melee combat in the air. "You'll tremble under the boots of The Main Man himself! The greatest hunter of the galaxy! Nothing can hide from me."

"Puh-leaze! You probably couldn't even find the TV remote!" Danny snarked, riling the bounty hunter up.

"My employers said to bring you in one piece… guess they'll have to make an exception."

Lobo lunged at Danny, brandishing some sort of gun to attack the teen. Much to Danny's surprise, a woman had flown up and grabbed the bounty hunter from the back. With a huff, the woman flung Lobo for a good distance.

Danny blinked at the new arrival. The woman had black hair and deep blue eyes and was quite tall. She held herself with an air of confidence. What appeared to be a golden lasso rested at her hip and Danny could see a sword resting at her back, hidden behind her long hair. Danny then blushed a bit when he noticed her apparel. She was dressed in a star-spangled swim suit, red boots, silver bracelets, and a golden crown that rested on her head.

"Are you alright young one?" The woman asked, floating closer to the teen.

"Uh, y-yeah! I'm good!" Danny managed to stutter out, regaining focus on the situation.

"Why is Lobo after you?"

"So that was his name. Yeah, I don't completely know myself. He said something about employers- WOAH!" Danny and the woman, whom Danny had mentally dubbed 'Ms America', dodged a blast that reminded Danny of a Fenton Bazooka.

Apparently the bounty hunter had a missile launcher of sorts.

Lobo grinned, holding up the smoking weapon. "Your friend won't help you Whelp!"

"Whelp? Sheesh dude, what a lack of originality!" Danny called out. "Then again, the first person to call me that wasn't very bright either. Maybe you both should start a 'I suck at hunting' club!"

Skulker paused from his looting of the local Cabela's, scowling as if something had offended him.

Bertrand, who had accompanied him, gave the hunter a puzzled look. "What's with you?"

Skulker growled in annoyance. "I have the feeling that the ghost child is making a jab at me and my hunting skills."

The shape-shifter snorted, "Well he's probably not wrong…"

Skulker's response was to shoot Spectra's assistant in the face.

The bounty hunter sent the teen a glare, while the Amazonian just looked at Danny in amusement. "Who are you young one to have such fire?"

Danny sent a grin to the woman, "I'm just the kid who likes witty banter."

Danny now found himself fighting the bounty hunter, teamed up with Wonder Woman. They wove through the air as hits were exchanged. The missile launcher had been knocked from the bounty hunter's grasp, so he was now resorting to melee combat.

Lobo pulled out some sort of blade, moving to slash the teen. Seeing the man's intention, Diana intercepted with her own sword. The two attacked with ferocity, neither breaking away from the onslaught. An iron beam then knocked the bounty hunter's blade away, having been flung by the halfa. Wonder Woman took advantage of the distraction.

One hit from the Amazonian sent the man into the pavement. Danny and Wonder Woman landed on opposite sides of the bounty hunter, who pulled himself from the ground.

Lobo then had an evil grin, pulling something from his belt before flinging them at Danny. The grenades then exploded, dousing the entire area in flames. Danny let out a yelp of surprise as the flames encompassed him.

"No!" Wonder Woman cried, flying to the teen to help, but was stopped by Lobo.

"You won't be helping the little Martian," Lobo sneered, occupying the Amazonian warrior. They exchanged blows before Lobo knocked Wonder Woman down.

An ectoblast hit Lobo square in the back, sending him stumbling. To both of the adults shock, Danny emerged from the fire. The flames danced about the teen, casting an orange glow on the teen's face.

"Just because I have ice powers doesn't mean fire's my weakness." With a sweep of his hand, Phantom put out the smoldering pavement and surrounding buildings, ice now covering the area. The teen was unscathed.

"Inconceivable…" Lobo muttered.

"Dude, I don't think you know what the word means." Danny sauntered towards the bounty hunter, fists glowing. "Hello, my name's Phantom. You have been a major jerk. Prepare to get your butt kicked!"

Lobo growled, pulling out his hook gun and charged the teen. Danny took to the skies, leading the bounty hunter away and weaving the alternated attacks from the hook gun and some sort of dart gun.

"Surrender or die!"

"Yeah, not gonna happen!"

Lobo was about to remark when he was brutally punched by Wonder Woman. Not waiting for the Czarnian bounty hunter to recover, Wonder Woman lassoed Lobo and flung him into the ground.

"Ka skahveyt Earthl!"

"Oh great, he's back to speaking moron." Danny snarked.

The two heroes attacked the Czarnian, attempting to wear him down. Lobo then charged at the Amazonian, but was thrown off when Phantom shot the jet pack. The bounty hunter then spiraled down, crashing into the ground. Pieces of the jet pack and his equipment were sent in every direction. The Czarnian grunted as he pulled himself from the earth, glaring at the two still-airborne heroes. Danny noticed that they had ended up in a familiar area.

"Ka keezy MARTA!"

"Okay you Boba Fett wannabe, we had enough of you. Now sit!" Danny commanded, confusing Wonder Woman.

Lobo was just about to remark when he flinched, then fell to a kneeling/sitting position in a daze.

"Now lie down," the teen instructed.

The bounty hunter then collapsed, fully unconscious. Now visible to the Amazon, the Czarnian had been shot with one of his own darts. Standing off to the side was one of the elephants that Danny had befriended, holding the dart gun in its trunk. It made a sound that could've translated as 'take that!'

"Good Lobo… now stay." Danny was smirking now, feeling as this was a sort of deja vú moment for him as it was thanks to an animal that he had whooped a hunter's butt before. He flew up to the elephant and patted it on the head. "And you were so awesome bud!"

The elephant made a happy, smug rumble.

Diana was quite baffled at what just happened, but found the teen giving the elephant affection quite endearing. "I take it you're an animal lover?"

Danny then remembered that he had company. "Uh, hehe… yeah, sorta." He responded shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Some of the civilians that had ducked into hiding came back out, staring in awe at the scene.

"Look, it's the Justice League!" A kid called out.

Danny froze when he heard that. "Whoops, gotta go!"

"Wait!" Diana called out, but was too late as the teen had disappeared.

Danny flew off in a random direction, not dropping his invisibility until he hitched a ride on a passing truck.

…~~~oOo~~~…

Sam and Tucker stood by the fountain that evening as they were waiting for Jazz to arrive. The elder Fenton child had said before that she had something important to discuss with the two teens.

"What do you think it is?" Tucker asked, looking up from his game.

Sam only shrugged, looking nonchalant. Tucker knew well enough that the calm front that Sam was showing was but a mask to her real feelings. He could tell that there were two main conflicting emotions: hope that it's good news and worry that it's bad news, either option being about Danny.

Either way, both teens were anxious to hear what Jazz wanted to discuss.

Since they were expecting Jazz to show up, they were weren't surprised to see her car pull up. What did surprise them was that Valerie was climbing out of the passenger seat.

"Um, what is she doing here?" Sam demanded, the goth scrutinizing the secret huntress.

"She wants to help find Danny," Jazz said, giving Sam a stern stare.

Sam's frown deepened, "As if she can-"

"I know Sam," Valerie interrupted. Her expression soften. "I know Danny's Phantom, alright?"

Both Sam and Tucker froze at Valerie's statement. Sam then turned to the eldest teen with a glare. "What did you-"

"I didn't say anything," Jazz defended herself. "Val came to me and explained herself. She wants to help bring Danny home and we could use all the help we can get."

"I figured it out not too long ago. The whole mess with Vlad and Dani was the missing piece to the puzzle. I know that you probably distrust me for hunting Danny… and I don't blame you." Valerie said, her voice soft and sincere. "I just want to help bring Danny home. He's my friend before anything and I'll do whatever you need me to do to prove my sincerity."

"Sam," Tucker spoke, placing his hand on the goth's shoulder, "we could use all the help we can get."

Sam huffed, remaining quiet for a moment before turning to the huntress.

"Alright."

…~~~oOo~~~…

A special shout out to 'yukid999' and the idea of the fire being used to try to catch Danny! Brilliant! I did change it up a little for this chapter.

To clarify: yes Danny has a general idea of what's going on in this world, but he doesn't have all the details.

I hope you all liked the references I threw in, such as 'The Princess Bride'.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
