"Do you really think that poor Tyrogue's gonna be okay?" The human asked in concern, worried about the Pokemon's condition. The fighter was seen laying down on one of the small beds where a Yamper currently rests on until now.
"I'm sure he'll be okay." The nurse responded, finally revealing the Tyrogue's gender. According to the Pokédex, their species are always male. "He just needs a little rest before he can fully recover."
Turning back at the resting Tyrogue, the human lets out a sad sigh, then walked over to his Vaporeon, staring at the Pokémon for a few seconds, then narrowed its eyes back at its trainer. "Don't worry, Kaiyo. He'll be okay once he wakes up."
The water eeveelution barked in response, placing a paw onto its trainer's shoulder. The two then turned over to their Inteleon walking by. "L-Leon.." The agent lizard yelped, taking notice of the testing Tyrogue.
"No worries, Inteleon. He'll be okay once he wakes up." Turning over to the Tyrogue, the trainer turns back at their Pokémon, shocked at the features it had took.
"Your Tyrogue needs to rest, Mr. Zephyr." Revealing his name, the trainer nodded in response, then soon left. Leading both his Pokémon out of the center, the nurse waved the three their goodbyes.
Doing as told, Zephyr and their two Pokémon were the only ones remaining for a while. "R-Reon?" The Vaporeon asked, concerned about the Tyrogue, who was still resting.
"Kaiyo, Tyrogue's gonna be okay. We just need to leave him alone for a while until he feels better now." The trainer responded to the concerned Vaporeon, petting its head to calm it down. "Maybe he just suffered a little heat exhaustion, is all.."
It weakly opened its eyes only to find the same Vaporeon, standing onto the arms of the couch next to him. It had an ice pack on is head, alongside a freshly cold water bottle just a few inches away from where it rests.
"T-Tyyyy..." The fighter groaned, rubbing its head as it raised itself from the couch. The Vaporeon still stood silently, watching the weak Tyrogue rise from resting. It wasn't sure why the Pokémon was there not how did it get here.
Until, "You're awake!" Was all the Tyrogue can hear. It appeared to be a human Pokémon trainer with a blue haircut. He was wearing a black hoodie with a Poliwag shirt under it, alongside a black beret and some denim jeans. "I'm relieved you're alright, little guy."
The human laid a hand onto the Tyrogue's shoulder. It wasn't sure what the human was doing nor how'd it got here at all. "Here." The trainer spoke, offering the Pokémon a berry. "You look pretty hungry.."
It wasn't hungry at first, but it was pretty weak after all. Once the Tyrogue takes the berry out of the hands of the trainer, it started eating it like a Herdier eating its meal. "You must be REALLY starving, weren't you?" Zephyr laughed, petting the Tyrogue's head.
The petting was soon cut off by Tyrogue taking his hand off it. "Sorry, just wanted to make sure you're doing fine.." Zephyr chuckled as he continued watching the Tyrogue finish.
He didn't want to be stalked by someone it didn't know, so it looked away, and continued eating the berry. "Sorry, I'll leave you alone." The human spoke in a worried tone.
As soon as the human left, only the Tyrogue and the Vaporeon remain inside. "Tyyy..Tyrogue." The Pokémon asked the eeveelution, still sitting silently. It waited for a response, but was bothered by Kaiyo, still watching the fighter at an uncomfortable state.
It didn't want to be watched by the Vaporeon, so it turned away, pretending that the water Pokémon was no longer in the room. It took a few seconds only to turn back, and the Vaporeon was still there.
Why was that Vaporeon staring at it like that, and why is it making the Pokémon uncomfortable? Nobody should know why Kaiyo was still sitting there inside a less-crowded room, still staring at that Tyrogue, still creeped-out by the cat-like figure.
It soon realized that the Vaporeon was keeping an eye on it in order to avoid escaping from its caretaker. No wonder why the Tyrogue seemed so uncomfortable with that Pokémon!
It let out a small bark in response, explaining that the Tyrogue should get some more rest. Not to waste any time on arguing, it went back onto the couch and began staring at the ceiling. Watching the blank ceiling reminded it of something familiar.
It reminded him of the one battle it tried breaking up, but nearly died from the same Obstagoon it fought months ago. A white ceiling, a few black objects such as a hat, shoes, anything else that reminded it of the badger Pokémon.
Still content with the scar on its back, it soon laid back down on the soft cushions of the couch belly-first, revealing the back scar it received long ago.
"It's been at least a couple days now.." Zephyr began speaking. "Are you sure that Tyrogue is better now?"
"Thankfully the Tyrogue had just about enough rest so it should be better in a moment." The nurse concluded, the Vaporeon walking over to its master with a happy expression. "He and Kaiyo must be good friends, weren't they?"
"Y-Yeah, apparently.." The trainer nervously chuckled, petting the water eeveelution. "H-He and Tyrogue are really good friends!"
Both turning to the sound of the door opening, it revealed the same Tyrogue it took days ago. It appeared to be already well-rested, his expression soon faded into more of a sneer, and was wearing one of Zephyr's childhood bandannas on its arm.
"Wait.. Is that my-" It was one of Zephyr's childhood bandannas he was wearing. It appeared to be a darker shade of gray, it had a few parts ripped out, but was happy to wear one on its arm to prove he was a true rebel of a fighter.
"It seems your Tyrogue likes that thing he's wearing!" The nurse chuckled at the sight of the Pokémon wearing one of their childhood clothing. He was in a loss of words about how he was wearing one of the clothing he had since he was baby. Apparently, he was going to take the object back from it, but soon gave up and let the Tyrogue wear what it wants to wear.
"Well, I do have a few bandannas at home, so I'll just let him wear it no matter what." The trainer chuckled nervously, turning back at the proud Tyrogue, showing off the gray felt he was wearing. "I'm sure the rest of your Pokémon should be excited about the new member of your team."
"No problem, Ma'am!" Zephyr responded with a happier tone, his Inteleon standing next to him. "I promise I'll take care of Tyrogue as often as possible!"
Back at the camp, Inteleon and the others were seen waking around in the area, playing with each other and chatting with the rest of the team.
The Tyrogue Zephyr had taken care of still sat silent, waiting for others to come by and chat. Most Pokémon don't seem to know who it is nor seen one before, so it'll be difficult for everyone else except for both Inteleon and Vaporeon to meet him.
"Alright! Whoooo wants curry?!" Zephyr yelled in a excited tone, taking a large spoon out of his bag. The Tyrogue never seemed to like how the trainer acted this way, it thinks it's a little too obnoxious.
Hearing that curry is being made, the Tyrogue sure doesn't mind eating it, since it never tried such a delicacy before. He never wanted to eat dry, sour, or bitter curry, because of reasons.
One, dry curry is not his taste. Two, sour-flavored curry is his least favorite of the meals Zephyr had made in the past for other Pokémon. And lastly, bitter curry makes him lose his appetite.
He wanted to try out something different. Spicy or not, Tyrogue wanted to eat something rather tasty then eating such bitter or sour delicacy the trainer had made for other Pokémon before him.
"Who's up for Coconut curry?!" Zephyr bellowed as soon as he finished making the cuisine for all of his Pokémon remaining in the camp. Tyrogue never tried anything sweet nor tasty in his life at all. All he'd ate before was just berries and other fruits from bushes.
The rest of Zephyr's team began shouting and roaring with glee, whilst the Tyrogue stood silently, with a smile on his face. Delivering a plate full of coconut curry for the fighter, Zephyr then went on to have the rest of his team each plate of the cuisine soon after.
Taking a small bite of the coconut curry, it tasted awfully sweet, yet spicy at the same time. The sweetness of coconut flakes combined with spiciness hit his tastebuds. It tasted like elixir mixed together with sweet and spicy goodness.
He never tasted such amazing delicacy in his life! The mixture of sweet coconut flakes with spicy berries felt like he was tasting something fancier. "So, how does it taste?" Zephyr asked, staring at the satisfied Tyrogue enjoying his meal. The Pokémon was really happy to consume quite a fancy meal he'd never tried before, and that of course satisfied the trainer as well.
"Well, I'm glad you liked it! I might make some more later on!" Was all the Tyrogue could hear before he stopped eating, and soon turned back at Zephyr, walking back to the bowl he makes curry with. We're they really gonna overfeed that fighter, or is he gonna clean up afterwards?
Zephyr cleaning up and putting the bowl away was Tyrogue's only answer. As he continued eating, all he could hear was the sounds of loud clanking echoing across the camp. He believed it was just his trainer, making some curry once more. At he turned back, all he could see was just Zephyr, cleaning the bowl he makes curry with.
"Good.." The Tyrogue thought to himself. "Not bothering in eating so much, I might blow!"
Most of the Pokémon at his camp were pretty stuffed from the curry they were eating, but for the fighting-type Pokémon, continued eating. He didn't want to waste any time getting his food cold by leaving it alone.
As soon as Tyrogue finished eating, Zephyr walked back where he was sitting, and took the empty plate from him. "Surprised you've ate the entire thing! You were starving, weren't you?" Zephyr asked with glee in their tone, the Pokémon soon nodded in response.
"I don't think I can make more curry. My team here is stuffed!" The Tyrogue sure was full from the curry Zephyr had made, but wanted to try out something less spicy.
And speaking of spicy, it gets him such a stomachache. The curry his trainer made actually did not, because of the combination of both spices and sweetness fusing together into one special meal the fighter actually liked before.
"I know you love it, Tyrogue, but I'm afraid eating too much of that stuff makes your tummy-wummy upset." Zephyr babyishly spoke to the Pokemon, poking his shoulder at a playful state. The Tyrogue never really appreciated how his trainer acted nor wanted to be treated like a baby. He wanted to be treated appropriately, not like a hatched Pokémon.
"Zephyr-- fortheloveofgodimnotababy--" Tyrogue thought with anger in its tone, irritated from the way his trainer said to him.
He never said he wanted to eat more of the curry Zephyr made earlier ago, nor wanted to eat what was remaining in the bowl. All he wanted was to eat a nice plate-full of such a delicacy and let his stomach settle before playing.
"Why won't you play with other Pokémon? I'm sure they like you!" Tyrogue's trainer spoke, pointing an informative finger towards his team. The Pokémon never really wanted to meet with everyone else, believing that they might start attacking them.
Vaporeon of course knew Tyrogue ever since Zephyr took him to the Pokémon Center. Alongside Inteleon, he was unsure about what to do with others.
Abiding Zephyr's request, the Tyrogue soon walked over to the Boltund, resting near the tent. He wasn't sure who that was nor where did it come from. As he placed a hand onto the dog's hand, it jolted from the ground in shock, then soon sniffed his hand.
It took a few moments to finally know the Pokémon, and soon after the Boltund began barking at a playful tone. "Ty..Ty Tyrogue?" The fighting-type figure asked his trainer, eyeing the Boltund at a playful state.
"Oh that? Her name's Oakley!" Zephyr recalled, petting their Boltund. "I caught her when she was at level 3. She's apparently level 61 now." Revealing how strong their Boltund is, Tyrogue was amazed at how powerful the Pokémon was before.
"Oakley and I had gone through several battles and won so many of them! We did lose a couple though but it's okay! The more you practice, the stronger you get!" Was all the fighter could hear. The more he practices, the stronger he gets.
The more the Pokémon practices, the stronger the Tyrogue gets. Those words were all he could remember now. "The more I practice, the stronger I become!" Tyrogue thought in an excited tone.
