There goes the neighborhood

Inside the house in Shoreside Vale. Duncan and Gwen sit a a dining room table. "Wow, a few months and the place looks fully furnished." Gwen says. "Yeah. It's a big house. " Duncan replies. "Look, we've been dating…" "You want me to move in Duncan?" "Yea." "I'd love to move in with you." She says. "I want you to see something." Duncan say as he grabs her hand and takes her upstairs. They walk through the master bedroom and onto the balcony. "Oh my good God Duncan, that view is to die for." "So you think you could live here?" Gwen grabs Duncan, pulls him closer kisses him. A few hours later Duncan walks Gwen out to her car. A black Ford CrownVictoria pulls up to the house next door. The man in the car pulls out a camera and snaps a photo. Duncan shuts Gwens door and walks back towards the house as she pulls away. Duncan walks toward the Ford as it speeds away. Duncan walks into his house and picks up the phone. "The ham steaks are on the grill." "You'll have to wrap them up." Duncan hangs up the Phone. Duncan walk into the kitchen and grabs a bottle of beer. "So I got my house. Suck it all of you who doubted me."

The next day at Tony's mansion. Tony walks down the stairs and gets into the town car. "Mama's restaurant in little Italy." The car drives down the driveway. "So the cops are watching your house now." Tony says "Yes sir" Duncan pulls down the street. "You know the rules?" "Don't say anything." "Yeah. We'll take care of you." Duncan pulls the car into the parking lot of the restaurant and parks the car. Toni says "it's my ma's place. I ain't gonna be long. After ten minutes Toni walks out and gets into the car. "We need to go to Druisala's in little Italy."

On the Algonquin bridge "When we get there, leave the motor running. I don't know kind of shit Ray Bachinno is trying to pull. That fuck thinks he can just steam roll me with no payment and I'm going take it laying down! No fucking dice!!.

Outside the restaurant the car stops at a parking meter. Tony gets out of the car and walks into the restaurant. I guess if he doesn't walk in ten minutes it's time to walk. Toni runs out as two men follow him shooting. Toni gets in the car as Duncan speeds away. "That's what I expected! This ain't over," Toni says. Duncan says "What does this mean?" "More boots on the ground. It's going to get real messy." Duncan's eyes open wider as his grip gets tighter on the wheel. He asks "What does this mean for me?" "You have watch your back. Hyper vigilance is the only thing. Keep your wits about you. You may want to carry a gun."

Later that evening in Gwen's apartment. Duncan helps pack a box. Duncan looks up to see Gwen starring out of a window. He asks. "What's wrong?" "What do you mean?" "You been pacing the flour and now your starring out the window." "Ok." She responds her voice a little shaky. "So my sister's ex-boyfriend has been living with me for a little while and…" "That's what the spare bedroom is for." Duncan says in a bit sarcastic tone. "Are you serious?" "Yes I am. How is your sister?" "Nikki.l, last I heard she was doing well in Vice City. Her wedding was fantastic. Her husband seems like a nice guy. He paid for the entire wedding himself." "Well shit, he must be doing very well for himself." "Yeah, he said he was a serial investor, had quite a few successful businesses." "Sounds like the type of guy I'd like to know." Duncan says.

Two weeks later. A green 1998 Jeep gran Cherokee sits in the driveway of Duncan's house with his charger and Gwen's 98 Buick century. Jonesy and Duncan sit outside looking out at the bridge. Jonesy says "I don't want to…." "Take your time man." "I got a few leads. I really want to move to vice city." Jonesy says. Duncan says"a large move man." "Yeah but all I need is the money to get down there. I can pick up some work down there. They always need landscapers." "Yeah that's true." Duncan says. "Why is everyone moving to Vice City?" "It's hot and there's a lot of opportunities there." "So and I'd don't to be a prick but what you got shaking here?" "A lot of odd jobs. I work at pay and spray a few days a week. They have spraying cars and some dent removal. I also bounce for masonette 9. My supervisor Luis is a hell of a guy. He isn't really afraid to get his dirty. They say he has a past. Something about drugs. There was this one time a couple guys were talking about how he is mr. downtown and how he changed and then Tony prince walked out and drove off with Luis. Now I don't like to judge people by their clothes but these guys had the corner dealer look down."
