Author's Note: After writing "Don't Forget", I thought that ole Dumbly needed some love. Alas, here be the result. I hope your eyes don't burn. My apologies if they do. I have a lovely eye doctor down here...I'm sure he'd love to help.

An Ode to Our Heroes

The wise old man,

He always knew

What to do

When you're feeling blue.

He was intelligent

And very clever.

He always seemed

To know better.

But yet, regretfully,

And it seemed so,

He seemed to make

More mistakes

Than any other.

Perhaps it was that,

That caused him to fade.

Perhaps he would have survived

Had he come out of the shade.

Had he not tried to find

Some good in all,

He'd still be here,

He'd still recall.

But no one could say

He'd done any wrong,

For he had been helpful

His full life-long.

People had said

He was too soft at heart.

Those loyal to him

Knew he'd done his part.

Played his role well,

Helped others along,

Stopped them from making

The choices that were wrong.

So here's a final monument-

Not only to him-

But to all the heroes

Who always will win.

I cried when Dumbledore died!
