OPENING #1
Song: This Will Be the Day
Artist: Jeff Williams
Singer: Casey Lee Jones
A skinny Steve Rogers was kneeling on the streets of Brooklyn from the 40's, as he was surrounded by bullies.
They see you as small and helpless
The bullies then disappeared, as he saw a shadowed silhouette of his muscular self in front of him.
They see you as just a child
The skinny Steve Rogers then stood up, as his surroundings transitioned to the modern Brooklyn. He then transitioned himself from skinny to the present Steve Rogers, before he ran towards an enemy while wielding his vibranium shield.
Surprised when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild
THE AVENGERS:
ASSEMBLE ON REMNANT
Prepare for your greatest moments
A young Natasha Romanoff was surrounded by numerous shadowed Black Widows, as she stared at Dreykov who was standing in front of the Widows.
Prepare for your finest hour
Sam Wilson stared back at his partner's grave before flying away.
Clint Barton wore his purple shades and calmly sighed, before firing an arrow at his target's head from a tall building.
The dream that you've always dreamed is suddenly about to flower
A horde of Grimm and Ultron Sentries were shown, as Ultron fired a laser blast before transitioning to Roman Torchwick, Crossbones, and Aldrich Killian were then shown while their goons were behind them.
We are lightning
Cinder was then shown in front while Mercury, Emerald, Mysterio, and Taskmaster were behind her.
Straying from the thunder
The Avengers – Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, and Hawkeye – and Team RWBY were surrounded by a horde of Grimm, Ultron Sentries, and EXTREMIS Soldiers.
Miracles of ancient wonder
The two teams then dodged from Ultron's deadly laser beam, before rushing towards him and the horde.
This will be the day we've waited for
Jaune was staring at the statues of the original six Avengers.
This will be the day we open up the door
Pyrrha then placed her hand at Jaune's shoulder, as Team JNPR and other heroes – Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, Harley Keener, Loki, Kate Bishop / Hawkeye, and Scott Lang / Ant-Man – were all shown. All of them had an Avenger logo implanted on their combat gears.
I don't wanna hear your absolution
Hope you're ready for a revolution
Ozpin, Glynda, Wong, and Black Panther were in the balcony of an airship.
Welcome to a world of new solutions
Welcome to a world of bloody evolution
Steve, Natasha, Sam, and Clint were then shown with their hero symbols along with Team RWBY's.
In time, your heart will open minds
A story will be told
All of the main and side heroes from both franchises were then shown, before ending with Ruby spinning her scythe and Steve throwing his shield.
And victory is in a simple soul
Unknown Location
An intimidating figure was standing on her castle's balcony to witness the barren wasteland. The figure's appearance was pale white and her eyes were red, as if she was a vampire. As she looked down below, there were several Grimm emerging from a pool of black essence.
For the past three days, she felt that something was changing. She doesn't know why, but she's slightly worried that this sudden change would ruin her plans. She isn't going to let something or someone ruin her mission in conquering Remnant after collecting all the relics.
"Salem." Hazel called out.
Salem didn't turn around and continued to look at the "beautiful" view of her wasteland, "What is it, Hazel?"
"Is there a problem? You seemed troubled." Hazel answered. "You're usually focused and calm, but it's the first time I've seen you so… worried."
Salem sighed from slight frustration, "Indeed, I am troubled. There is an unknown force that has entered this world. I don't know what it is, but I'm planning to wait for it."
Hazel raised his eyebrows, "An unknown force entering this world, ma'am? Are you speaking metaphorically, or seriously?"
"I don't joke around, Hazel." Salem slightly raised her voice, which made Hazel lowered his head, before calming down with a sigh. "I have an assignment for you, Hazel."
"What is it, ma'am?" Hazel asked.
"I want you to send a word to Cinder and Tyrian to secretly keep an eye out on any unusual developments." Salem ordered. "You and Watts are also going to keep an eye out as well. I'm not taking any chances. Whatever the unknown force is, they mustn't let my plans be ruined."
"Yes, ma'am." Hazel said, before respectively walking away from Salem. 'What is this unknown force is she talking about? Is she worried that someone is going to ruin her plans? It's unusual for her to worry.'
Salem then stared at the broken moon with a smirk, "Is this your plan, Gods? To make me afraid of these unknown forces that have arrived? If so, you're wasting my time. I'll kill anyone who stands in my way, even if they're just children!"
City of Vale
When the Avengers arrived at the city, they slightly awed at the sight before exploring the place while finding their friend at the same time.
"Where are we supposed to find Barton? This city is huge!" Sam asked.
"I don't know, but it doesn't mean we should give up easily." Steve said. "We'll have to split up. Natasha, finds any clues of Hawkeye's whereabouts. Sam, you scout the area without flying. We don't want to attract the locals. And I'll explore this city for information."
"Copy that, Steve." Natasha said.
"No flying? Great. I guess I'll have to do it the old fashion way." Sam said, which made Natasha and Steve chuckle.
"Let's move in, Avengers." Steve said.
Once they split up, Natasha went to the east side to find clues, Sam went to the north side to study the area in case they'll have to fight, while Steve went to the west side of the city for information.
Beacon Academy
Meanwhile, Ozpin and Glynda were secretly observing the Avengers through a monitor. Ozpin was impressed with Steve's leadership and charisma while Glynda kinda found him hot, as she immediately shook her head at the thought.
"The Avengers have arrived on Beacon." Glynda said. "Shall we send Qrow to fetch them?"
"There's no need. I'll send an invitation to them." Ozpin answered, before drinking his coffee. "I could tell that these Avengers must've fought dangerous enemies for years, so approaching them directly or sneakily is risky. We don't want the people around them to panic."
"Just like how Mr. Barton was wary of us when he arrived here." Glynda said, before sighing. "I'm going to write the letter, though I still don't know how they could help against these bad changes that Qrow mentioned."
"I don't know, but there's something different about them than other Huntsman." Ozpin said. "It's as if they've already faced enemies stronger than the Grimm and possibly Salem, or at least enemies similar to her."
Glynda sighed before exiting the headmaster's office, "I hope you're right, Ozpin."
City of Vale
After an hour has passed, the three Avengers gathered around at the center. They've quite enjoyed the tour since it was different from their world's cities.
"Have you found any clues about Clint?" Steve asked.
"Sorta." Natasha said, as she showed one of Hawkeye's arrows which was beeping. "When I was looking for clues in the alleyway, there was an arrow hiding behind a dumpster. He left a message in the arrowhead."
"Wow, you must've thoroughly checked the dumpster for other clues huh." Sam teased.
Natasha amusingly rolled her eyes, "Shut up, Sam."
Steve nodded, "Show the message."
As Natasha pressed the arrowhead's button, a hologram message appeared above them.
Hey, guys. I assume it's you guys since there's no way someone will find this arrow other than Nat. Before I tell you my current location, I just gotta say that I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was transported in this… odd world. As all of you know, I was busy cleaning up the streets to pass the time because I didn't have any clue on where I should go… until today. Which brings me to my current whereabouts, I'm currently at Beacon Academy. The headmaster of Beacon wants to meet with you guys, The Avengers. I don't know why, but he's eager. That's it for now. I'm so glad that you guys are alright. Hawkeye out.
– C. Barton
"Beacon Academy? Isn't that one of the prestigious schools for training Huntsmen?" Sam asked. "Why is the headmaster of Beacon interested in us?"
"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's probably important." Natasha said, before staring at Steve. "Steve, what should we do?"
"I'm not sure. They could be an enemy." Steve said. "Then again, we have no idea what we should do in this world, so it's best to meet the headmaster for more information."
"I second that." Sam agreed, as Redwing flew towards him. "Redwing has finished scanning the city, and we have a location on the Beacon Academy."
"Alright, let's move on." Steve ordered.
"Next stop: Beacon Academy." Natasha said, while smirking.
Beacon Academy
When the Avengers arrived at the entrance of Beacon Academy, the guards expected their arrival and guided them to Ozpin's office. While walking toward his office, they saw some students with weird shaped weapons on their hands and back. They're quite curious about their design and effectiveness.
There were some students glancing in their direction, but they never recognized them since the Grimm Invasion from Crystal Town wasn't broadcast to the world. They were honestly grateful since they'll immediately be surrounded by numerous students if they were recognized. The only member of the Avengers that these students know is probably Hawkeye due to his heroic deeds in the city.
As they entered the headmaster's office, they were greeted by three people.
"Greetings, Avengers. I'm Professor Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy." Ozpin introduced himself.
'Ozpin? That sounds oddly similar to the Wizard of Oz.' Steve mentally said. "My name is Captain Steve Rogers. And these are my friends, Lieutenant Sam Wilson and Agent Natasha Romanoff."
"I'm Glynda Goodwitch." Glynda introduced herself. "I'm a teacher here in Beacon."
"And my name's Qrow. Qrow Branwen." Qrow introduced himself before he continued drinking his beer. "I'm just a Huntsman who is somehow affiliated with Ozzy."
"It's nice to meet you, Avengers. You've made a new name for yourself at Crystal Town." Ozpin said. "And I gotta say, I'm impressed with your skills."
"Thanks, but before we engage in conversation. Where's Clint Barton?" Natasha asked.
"Dunno. He should arrive by now." Qrow said.
"I'm right here." Clint said.
All of them looked up and saw Clint sitting on the ceiling bar, while counting down his arrows. He then smiled and waved at his friends.
"Hey, guys. Took you long enough to get here." Clint said.
"Same with you. You didn't even bother to contact us." Natasha said.
"Sorry. I don't have my phone with me." Clint said, before jumping off the bar. "Plus, I didn't know you guys were even here as well."
"When the hell did you get up there?" Qrow asked.
"I have my ways." Clint answered.
"Now that the Avengers have reunited, it's time to answer our questions." Ozpin said. "Who are you and where did you come from?"
The entire room was then silent. The Avengers didn't answer as it may be too unbelievable that they're from another world.
"Captain Rogers, Black Widow, Falcon, Hawkeye, The Avengers. We've never heard your team nor your codenames and monikers." Ozpin said. "I've deeply checked your background many times, yet there's nothing I could find. There are no school records, family registration, birth certificates, and among other things. So, who are you and where did you come from?"
The room went silent again. A few seconds later, Steve stepped in and began to speak.
"Before we could answer that, have you heard of a man named 'Tony Stark'?" Steve asked.
"Can't say I have." Ozpin answered, as he, Glynda, and Qrow shook their heads.
"What about Thor? Hulk? War Machine?" Natasha asked.
"Or Ant-Man and that Spiderling?" Sam added.
"New York? Loki? Ultron? HYDRA? The Sokovia Accords?" Clint added another.
After throwing the names they knew to them, Ozpin, Glynda, and Qrow shook their heads, confirming that they haven't heard any of these people they mentioned.
"Okay, this is going to sound a little crazy. More crazy than usual." Clint said.
"Been there, pal. I'm pretty sure we can handle a little crazy." Qrow said.
"Well, this type of crazy is going to be unbelievable for the three of you but…" Sam was interrupted by Natasha.
"Basically, we're from another world called 'Earth'. We were transported here by a mysterious machine created by Arnim Zola." Natasha bluntly answered, as her four friends stared at her. "What? You boys are too slow to answer."
"So that's what you guys are currently doing." Clint said.
"And I thought we were going to tell them slowly in order to avoid confusion." Sam said.
"Telling them is consuming our goal to return home." Clint said. "My family is probably looking for me right now. Heck, they might even think I'm dead since I vanished before their very eyes."
"Hold on! You're from another reality? You must be joking." Glynda refused to believe that the Avengers were from another world.
"Pardon us, ma'am, but we don't exactly joke around during these types of situations." Steve said. "Except for Tony, he would always find a way for quips."
"We still find it hard to believe that you, 'heroes', are from another world." Qrow said. "This hasn't ever happened for the past million years of Remnant."
"Same with Earth. This is the first time that happened, I think." Clint said.
"I may be able to support their statements." Ozpin said, as he then showed the footage of multiple blue beams traveling across Remnant on his monitor. "These mysterious beams suddenly appeared three days ago. The people thought that there were shooting stars, but it wasn't. The energy that these beams are emitting are not of this world."
"Those are the very same beams that teleported us in this world." Steve said. "There are others who are also stranded in this world. We need to find them."
"Yes, I can tell. There are nine beams in total, yet there's only four of you appearing in front of us." Ozpin said. "It seems that the other five are somewhere in Remnant, correct?"
"Yes." Steve answered.
"Woah, woah, woah. Slow down your horses." Qrow said, before turning his attention to Ozpin. "Why didn't you tell us about this, Oz? I even thought that those were shooting stars as well."
"Same." Glynda agreed.
"I have two reasons why. One, I didn't want to alarm you both." Ozpin answered. "And second, I forgot."
"The latter makes much more sense than the first." Qrow said, as Glynda agreed with the drunken Huntsman.
"If what you are saying is true, then how did you end up in this world?" Glynda asked.
"We were sent on a mission by the King of Wakanda, T'Challa, to investigate a secret HYDRA base which was hidden in the forest." Steve answered. "We then discovered HYDRA created a machine that can travel to other worlds or dimensions. They were all led by Arnim Zola, a German scientist who once worked with Johann Schmidt, the leader of HYDRA, during World War II."
"World War II? So it's like the Great War?" Qrow questioned.
Steve nodded, "Yes, but the war ended 71 years ago."
"71 years ago!? Then how are you and this Zola guy alive!?" Glynda asked.
"It's a long story, but basically, I went into cryogenic sleep after I drove the plane filled with nuclear missiles into the arctic ocean." Steve simplified his answer. "Zola, however, transferred his consciousness to the digital world or something because his physical body was failing him."
"So you're a 100-year old veteran soldier and the other is an artificial intelligence. If that isn't absurd enough, then I don't know what is." Qrow said, before staring at Ozpin. "Then again, there's already a man who has lived for 1,000 years in this world."
"Okay, back to the topic. So when Arnim Zola appeared, the four of you, along with the other five, were transported into this world. Am I correct?" Glynda asked.
Sam nodded, "You basically got it, ma'am."
"We need to find a way back home." Steve said. "He's planning to bring back HYDRA to our world and when that succeeds, then he'll either bring world domination or world annihilation on our world. Arnim Zola has already successfully created the transportation machine, so after he's finished conquering our world, he'll come for this world and other worlds next." [1]
"That will be bad." Ozpin said. "We've already dealt with Grimm and her as it is."
"So what can we do to help?" Qrow said. "I don't know about you all, but I'm ready to face off this robot-man thingy. It sounds too crazy."
"Well, we've already faced a killer robot and his army before so it doesn't sound crazy anymore." Clint said, as three of them were curious about the Avengers' battles.
"Before we get back to our world, we need to save the other five first." Steve said.
"Then I can help with that. I have traveled to different regions for the past years because of my Huntsman duties." Qrow said, as he took out a pen and paper to write the names. "Just give me the names and I can probably find them."
"Sure." Steve said. "The other five people are Scott Lang, Wong, Shaun, Peter Parker, and T'Challa."
"Do you realize how many people have the name 'Shaun'? Give me his surname or something." Qrow said.
"We don't know his last name. It's only his first name that was shown." Natasha said.
"Well, it's going to be difficult finding a person named 'Shaun' without his surname or his photograph." Qrow said.
"Don't worry. I have his photograph on my bracelet. I can send it to you later." Natasha said.
"At least that lessens the difficulty of my new mission." Qrow said, as he then walked towards the door. "Well then, Oz. I'll be going now. Better to collect their friends now instead of later."
"Good luck, Qrow. You're gonna need it." Ozpin said.
"I always do." Qrow said, before exiting the room.
"Now that is out of the way, allow us to tell you a tale of our world. And in return, we'd like you to tell us your world." Ozpin said, as Glynda stared at Ozpin. "We still don't know if you're really from another world, so if you managed to tell us without stuttering or murmuring, then we're convinced."
"Deal." Steve agreed with the deal.
"Oz, are you going to also tell them about the relics and the maidens? You shouldn't trust them that soon." Glynda whispered to Ozpin.
"It's fine, Glynda. I can tell that these Avengers aren't the type to act selfishly and wickedly." Ozpin whispered back with reassurance."
Ozpin then explained the detailed description of Remnant and its current state with the help of Glynda. They covered the primary topics of the four kingdoms to the academies that train future warriors to protect and defend the world from the Grimm, bandits, and other physical threats.
When The Avengers asked about the clear description of Dust, Glynda told them that these materials were the great equalizer in their struggle against the creatures of Grimm. They can be further used for the advancement of humanity. Clint then showed his friends all the Dust he bought and a newly created Dust Type - Arrow Dust. Glynda and Ozpin already knew about the Arrow Dust so they weren't really surprised anymore.
Ozpin then explained the purpose of Aura. Aura is the manifestation of one's soul and can be used for a wide range of abilities. The specific abilities and their strengths differ from individual to individual and are dependent on a number of factors, such as experience, training and innate skill. It is predominantly used for protection from harm, which Clint knew as he once faced bandits who all had colored barriers in their bodies. Ozpin added that people develop an active power called a 'Semblance'.
Glynda then explained the Semblance. Semblance is a power exhibited by certain individuals. It is developed from a person's Aura and typically helps in battle against Grimm. Semblances are different between people and can range from super strength, manipulating objects to disorienting opponents. The last part sorta reminded the Avengers of their former member, Wanda Maximoff, who could manipulate objects and people.
Although the basic explanation was given of these three, the scientists are still studying every aspect of Dust, Aura, and Semblance, as some believe that they could evolve into something greater. Some theorized that the evolution of these three elements would enable the use of magic, though the theory was immediately debunked as it breaks some laws of physics which made Ozpin chuckled.
Ozpin then held a brief history lesson about their world, such as The Great War before he explained the current situation of the world, such as the White Fang situation and bandit raidings.
"I'm honestly not surprised that discrimination and war is still active." Clint said. "I guess every other world has this same problem."
"Tragically, it's human nature." Natasha said. "Our kind will always discriminate, cause chaos, steal from the rich and poor, and other human feats that I have not yet mentioned."
"And it's currently getting worse. The constant Grimm attacks have occurred in several places." Glynda said.
Steve stared at the floor before releasing a sigh, "This job is never easy."
All of them then turned their attention to the captain.
"You try to do good as much as you can, even if you face an overwhelming force. And sometimes we're going to lose." Steve said. "But it doesn't mean that we should give up, because we can do this all day."
Ozpin and Glynda couldn't help but find themselves in slight awe of the star-spangled man. His conviction and morals are far greater than theirs and everyone else's, and his words resonate with them. Meanwhile, his teammates were smiling or smirking at the patriotic soldier.
"Now that we've explained our world, it's time to tell us about yours." Ozpin said. "Please share with us the knowledge of your world."
"Do you wanna take this one, Cap?" Sam said, while grinning. "I mean, you're the one with inspirational speeches and all."
Steve shook his head in amusement at his friend's antics, "Sure, Sam."
Steve then retells everyone his story, from skinny little kid from Brooklyn who was drafted into the military to being selected into the Super Soldier Program, which piqued Ozpin with interest as his military friend once an idea of turning Huntsmen and Huntresses into Super Soldiers but the idea was thankfully rejected.
Steve then embarrassingly explained about being used as propaganda for war, which made his teammates laugh, until he saved the 107th and his best friend. Instead of being punished due to insubordination, he was instead promoted as an actual captain. He then properly joined the war and destroyed several HYDRA bases in order to prevent them from obtaining Red Skull's goals.
Ozpin and Glynda were slightly horrified by Red Skull's actions. He was a genocidal megalomaniac who was hell bent on destroying the world in order to show everyone that he was a god among men.
"And then, I have to make a sacrifice in order to save everyone." Steve said with a hint of sad tone. "I crashed the plane and went under for almost 70 years."
When Glynda saw Steve's sad expression, she felt sorry for him. She could tell that there was someone that Steve was waiting for, but he had to sacrifice his love in order to save everyone from being massacred by the nuclear missiles.
Clint then explained the formation and establishment of the United Nations and the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, or S.H.I.E.L.D for short.
"I was once an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." Clint said. "More specifically, I was their assassin. And I was once tasked down to assassinate Natasha, as she was a Russian spy."
"But he became a pussy and convinced me to join S.H.I.E.L.D." Natasha said, as she smirked at Clint who rolled his eyes in return.
"That was a pretty bold move for you, Mr. Barton." Glynda said. "Although I can tell that Ms. Romanoff isn't a 'bad guy' anymore, you could've messed up badly when you recruited her."
"I know, but I have soft spots for mindless killers like her." Clint said. "That day was best because it was the time when I didn't take a shot at my best friend." [2]
Natasha smiled at Clint before the explanation continued. Steve told Ozpin and Glynda about an unexpected change in 2009, which involves their old ally "Tony Stark". He was once an arrogant and rich playboy who didn't care about anybody until his fateful capture in Afghanistan which led him to become the hero known as "Iron Man". And unlike the generic secret identity from the superhero comics, he revealed his identity to the world.
"That's pretty bold of him." Glynda pointed out.
"You're not the only one, but he told us all of us the reason why he revealed his secret identity. One that we couldn't share amongst others." Steve said.
"I understand that." Ozpin said. "Please continue."
"And then, things began to change from then on." Sam said.
They told them everything after Tony became Iron Man, such as the rampage of the raging monster, Hulk; the arrival of the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor; Iron Man's duel with Whiplash and the Hammer Drones with the help of his best friend, War Machine; Cap being thawed out of ice; and The Avengers assembling together for the first time to take down Thor's mischievous brother, Loki, and his army of Chitauri. Clint then reminded everyone that he was briefly Loki's puppet before Natasha knocked him out unconscious.
After the Battle of New York, everyone went on their own journey. Iron Man taking down the EXTREMIS Soldiers and Aldrich Killian; Thor's duel with the leader of the Dark Elves, Malekith, to prevent him from turning the Nine Realms into darkness; and the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D. which was revealed to be HYDRA in disguise all along, with an additional bonus that Steve's brainwashed best friend was the infamous Winter Soldier who killed numerous people in the past, including Tony's parents.
Ozpin and Glynda were in disbelief. They could tell that they weren't lying about their statements, yet it feels so unbelievable. They live in a world where crazy things happen occasionally. Ozpin was right on the Lien. These Avengers have faced dangerous enemies similar to Salem and her Grimm.
Clint then told them about the twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. He explained to them about their blind rage and loyal devotion to their country, Sokovia, which inadvertently made them work for HYDRA. They gained their superhuman abilities from Loki's scepter, which HYDRA obtained after the Battle of New York.
After locating the scepter's whereabouts, the Avengers assembled once more to take down the remaining HYDRA base and retrieve the scepter. When Tony Stark found the scepter, Wanda incidentally forced the genius billionaire to create a machine stronger than HYDRA combined - Ultron.
Ozpin and Glynda were horrified upon learning Ultron. He was an artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark, with the assistance of Bruce Banner, to bring world peace. But Ultron learned there's only one path to peace - the elimination of all life. He literally carved out a piece of Sokovia in order to create a meteor to wipe the humans extinct since he was unable to access nuclear codes thanks to Tony Stark. [3]
They also added that Ultron once planned to use a carbon based synthezoid for his new body, but the Avengers managed to retrieve the Cradle and created a new hero - Vision. He usually acts as a philosopher to the team.
After Ultron's defeat, the Avengers went through a reformation. Hulk chose to leave the team because of his destructive power, Thor traveled across the cosmos to search for these "Infinity Stones", Tony left the team to focus on his personal problems and to fix his mess, and Clint chose to retire and live a happy life with his family while Steve and Nat stayed to lead the new set of Avengers, composed of Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson / The Falcon, Vision, and Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes / War Machine.
Ozpin and Glynda were stunned from hearing The Avenger's tales and adventures. They know that their world isn't perfect and while they're living in an era of peace, there are still dark forces threatening Remnant, such as the constant presence of Grimm, terrorist attacks, raiding of bandits, criminal organizations, and among others.
And yet, this team of individuals had fought dangerous enemies and prevented world-ending events consistently. And the threats they faced seemed to escalate in size along with numbers of enhanced individuals. They all did this without an Aura.
"That… was a fascinating tale." Ozpin said.
"Indeed, and we could tell that you aren't lying." Glynda said. "How in the world did you deal with these threats efficiently?"
"I gotta admit. I have no idea as well." Steve said. "It seems like fate wanted us to succeed, I guess."
"We're only in for the ride." Natasha said. "If no one can defend the Earth, then who will?"
"But what if you fail?" Ozpin asked. "What if you failed to protect your world, then what're you going to do?"
"Well, as an old friend once said, 'If we can't protect the Earth, then you can be damn sure we'll avenge it', hence our team name." Steve answered. [4]
"Impressive." Glynda complimented, as she started to respect the Avengers.
"But something tells me that there's more to your story." Ozpin said, as he analyzed the group. "I can't help but notice that your other members of the 'New Avengers' are missing. And I don't think the other five, who were teleported along with you, are part of your team."
The Avengers were silent, as it brought them bad memories. They didn't want to remember their little Civil War since it broke up their friendships.
"What happened?" Glynda softly asked.
Steve sighed, "We… became divided."
"Can you please elaborate?" Ozpin carefully asked, as he could tell that it was personal.
Steve then explained that despite their sacrifices, people were still afraid of them and the government became disgruntled that a team of powerful individuals who are left unchecked and unsupervised are entering country borders without thinking of the consequences, and choosing to fight the threats instead of wading through politics. And so, they created the Sokovia Accords.
"Basically, the government wants to enslave us and become their loyal dogs. They imprisoned me, Clint, and other members who opposed the Accords, and it was done by none other than by one of our own." Sam said.
"I can't imagine how hard it was for you all." Ozpin said, before staring at Steve.
"It was." Steve said, before continuing to tell the story.
The Avengers were then divided and caused a little Civil War amongst themselves. One side for the government because of the mistakes they made, so they accept to be put in check in order to avoid creating another mistake. And the other opposed the Accords because of the past experience that showed them that they shouldn't trust a group of people with agendas that would immediately change on the fly.
The Winter Soldier, Steve's best friend, was a catalyst for the supporting side to take drastic action. The two sides didn't want to fight with each other, but they had no choice.
Steve then told them about Helmut Zemo, the man who framed Bucky in order to set the course of his plan, and showed secret footage of Bucky killing Tony's parents, which resulted in another war of three best friends.
"Afterwards, I dropped the shield and went on to rescue my friends in The Raft." Steve said.
"But me and the tiny guy didn't join them, as we were offered to be under house arrest in order to see our families." Clint said.
"I'm surprised that they offered to put you under house arrest instead of facing lifetime in jail." Glynda said. "So why were you offered?"
"I don't know, but it was Secretary Ross' idea." Clint answered.
"A few months later, we were tasked by the current King of Wakanda to investigate a HYDRA base in his country because we owe him a debt of gratitude, which eventually led us to this situation." Steve finished.
The room was then silent from the tension. The atmosphere wasn't really tense, but it sure wasn't relaxing either.
"That…" Ozpin then broke the silence, as it was getting too uncomfortable. "…is really quite a tale."
"That was only the short version. There are a lot of things we left out." Natasha said.
"No kidding." Glynda said.
"And now, one question remains. What are you going to do now?" Ozpin asked.
"We're not really sure, apart from finding the other five." Steve said. "We only just arrived a few days ago."
"And yet, you saved Dorothy's town multiple times from the Grimm Invasion," Ozpin said. "As well as gaining popularity in such a short time, especially you Mr. Barton."
"I was only cleaning up the streets to pass the time, sir. There's nothing more to it than that." Clint said.
"You have no idea how many fans you have, Mr. Barton. The students are basically talking about you for three days straight now." Glynda said.
"It seems like Hawkeye finally has a spotlight." Sam teased, while Clint simply rolled his eyes.
"Thank God that our 'grand' appearance didn't reach other cities apart from Crystal Town, otherwise, it would've been a nuisance." Natasha said.
"At least you would immediately save people from danger, even if it means sacrificing yourself." Ozpin said.
"Yeah, but that doesn't really help us in our situation." Sam said. "We need someone to build a replica of the machine and return home immediately. My sister and my newborn nephews could be in danger."
The Avengers are good people who fight to protect the people and the world. They're the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. They were presented with a silver platter, and Ozpin isn't about to let that go to waste.
"May I speak with Glynda for a while, Avengers?" Ozpin asked.
The Avengers were wary, but obliged on his request. They departed the room, as they waited outside the door. Unbeknownst to Ozpin and Glynda, Redwing was on the ceiling where Clint was. Although it's invading their privacy, they need to know whether these people can be trusted or not.
"What do you think of them?" Ozpin asked.
"I'm not sure." Glynda answered.
"Well, for one thing. All of them are insane." Qrow, who has been secretly listening to the conversation, said through Ozpin's Scroll. "Their adventures are really ridiculous and crazy. And I thought my line of work was crazy enough."
"They've been saving the world without utilizing an Aura. That's an amazing achievement for them." Ozpin complimented the Avengers. "Imagine if all of them utilized an Aura."
"Then they'll be overpowered as heck, Oz." Qrow said. "If I recall their team members, Hulk and Thor are the most powerful heavy hitters in the team while most of them are just basically skilled humans, such as Mr. Barton and Ms. Romanoff themselves."
"They've faced dangerous enemies over the years. I don't think that even a team of professional Huntsmen could take down Ultron or Loki easily." Glynda said. "Most of them lacked the will and determination to stop world ending threats, unlike the Avengers who will continue to fight until their last breath."
"Yeah, we don't want them to become our enemies." Ozpin said. "I don't think I could even take them down easily."
Qrow noticed something with Ozpin's eyes, "You're planning to recruit them, aren't you, Ozzy?"
"Ozpin, you should understand that you're taking a gamble." Glynda said. "The Avengers aren't your students, they're experienced individuals who have faced difficult battles over the years."
"And that is why we need them right now." Ozpin said with a serious tone.
The headmaster then walked towards the balcony to stare at the beautiful view of Beacon.
"Qrow, I always recall your reports whenever you're on a mission." Ozpin said. "And you stated that you're growing concerned about the world at large. There are new types of Grimm appearing, as well as new threats manifesting in the darkness. You know who I'm talking about, her and her pawns."
"So what? Do we need more help?" Glynda questioned.
"No, we need TRUE allies. Allies that act as paragons, who can fight and defend this world from physical threats while also helping in preparing a new generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses." Ozpin explained. "These Avengers are an opportunity that we can't refuse. We need their help while we can before they're gone."
"Are you sure that they'll accept the offer, Oz?" Qrow asked. "From the looks of things, they want to return to Earth as fast as possible because their world is currently in danger by their current enemy."
"I'm perfectly aware of that, Qrow, which is why we'll help them as well." Ozpin said, which surprised Glynda and Qrow.
"Help them? How? I don't think inter-dimensional travel is within our work, Ozpin." Glynda said. "We don't have the technology to build a transportation machine as well, and I don't think Atlas is capable of building it."
"Don't worry. I'll find a way." Ozpin reassured her.
"You look so sure, Oz." Qrow said.
Ozpin then entered his office back and walked around his desk.
"The people in this room, along with a few others, have been an ongoing group of individuals that knows the greater secrets of our world." Ozpin said. "The Maidens, the four Relics, the Mother of Grimm, and others. Our duties are to safeguard Remnant from anything that threatens the destabilization of the world."
"What does that have to do with us helping them?" Glynda asked.
"There are certain secrets that each of us know that allows us to safeguard the world from those who wish to destroy anything innocent, from the Maidens to the Relics." Ozpin answered. "However, I discovered that there have been artifacts that were lost in time. Artifacts that were believed to hold immeasurable power that would allow anyone, from pure to wicked, to wield them."
"What are you saying, Oz?" Qrow asked.
Ozpin drank his coffee before he answered, "Basically, there may be a way to send the Avengers home without the need for a transportation machine, but it'll take some time."
"At least there's some good news for the Avengers." Qrow said, as he entered The Ship.
Ozpin sighed before making up his mind, "We'll tell them. We'll tell them everything."
"Everything!?" Glynda was alarmed. "Ozpin, gambling is one thing, but having a blind faith and stupidity is different."
"You're about to tell the Avengers everything about our world. You do realize what you're doing right, Oz?" Qrow asked.
"Yes, I do." Ozpin answered, as he secretly glared at Redwing on the ceiling. "Did you get all that, Avengers?"
Glynda was confused on the last part until the Avengers then entered the office again.
"Yeah, we got it." Steve said.
"I didn't expect that you would spot Redwing." Sam said, as Redwing flew back to him.
"And we appreciate the compliment, professor." Natasha said.
"You've been eavesdropping on our conversation?" Glynda questioned, before turning her attention to Ozpin. "And you've known that for the entire time?"
"In order for them to trust us, then we secretly let them listen to our conversation. I hope you can forgive me for that, Glynda." Ozpin said, before turning his attention to the Avengers. "Now then, it's time to tell you the secrets of our world. But first, I have a question."
"What is it?" Clint asked.
"What's your favorite fairy tale?" Ozpin asked.
A Few Hours Later
After the meeting, Ozpin was gracious enough to lend the Avengers separate rooms in Beacon, as well as some new clothes, meals, and a bath. It's been a long day for them. The heroes are currently in a teacher's lounge to discuss the meeting from earlier.
"So there are four women who represent the seasons and four artifacts that are the physical manifestations of the four gifts to humanity." Clint recalled. "What were the four relics again?"
"Choice, Knowledge, Creation, and Destruction." Steve answered.
"And Ozpin wants us to help him fight against this Salem person while also becoming teachers in this academy." Natasha added.
"It sounds like a job for Cap." Sam teased.
Steve stared at him with a raised eyebrow, "Seriously?"
"Should we consider the offer?" Clint warily asked, as everyone stared at him. "If we accept their offer then they can help us find a way back home, even if it might take forever which is good… and bad."
"Good and bad?" Sam questioned.
"Good, in a sense, that we're not blindly rushing and looking for obscure and dangerous ways to get back home. Bad, as in who knows how much time may pass while they search for ways back home." Clint answered. "It may take a few decades before we return to Earth, and you all said that Arnim Zola is planning to resurrect HYDRA and conquer the world. By the time we return, the world would probably be laying in waste if our old friends can't stop him and everyone we know will be… killed."
The Avengers dejectedly stared down at the floor, afraid that they're unable to save the people and protect the world. They're also afraid that everyone they know will perish.
"We'll get back home." Steve reassured his friends. "Although we may be stuck in this world for a while, we'll eventually return home. Zola may have already conquered the planet but it doesn't mean we're gonna back down without a fight. Once we return, we'll take down Zola and HYDRA, and save the world. If our friends and family have perished, then we'll have to avenge them. Whatever it takes."
The Avengers were in awe of Cap's speech while Natasha chuckled as she expected that he would give an inspirational speech to them because that's what he always does.
"But for now, get some rest." Steve suggested. "Tomorrow, do anything you like around the school until we figure out our next step."
Sam nodded, "Alright, Cap."
The Avengers then departed while Steve stayed behind, as he walked towards the window to see the shining, broken moon. He then pulled out his shield and briefly stared at it.
Unknown Location
In a depressing city, there was a cloaked man who walked past a group of homeless people. The man was walking towards the bank to steal some money, but this man wasn't an ordinary thief. The locals have been calling him the "Vanishing Bandit".
The reason why the city looked so rundown and why there were numerous homeless people was because the mayor refused to share his riches to the people, until a stranger came along and stole the mayor's treasures from his vault three days ago. This stranger then gave the stolen money to the poor. He was regarded as the people's champion by the homeless people.
When the bank guards spotted the cloaked man, they pointed their weird looking spears at the man.
"Who are you!? State your name and business!" The first guard demanded.
Suddenly, the man vanished as the cloak fell on the ground. The guards immediately knew who the stranger was.
"It's the Vanishing Bandit! Sound the al-!" The first guard was sent flying into a wall by an unknown force before he could finish his sentence.
"Sir!" The second was sent flying into a wall as well.
When the stranger appeared from thin air, the guards surrounded him with different types of weapons.
"It's the Vanishing Bandit." A guard said.
"Vanishing Bandit, you have no way to run. Surrender now!" The captain ordered.
"Sorry, man. I won't leave without… stealing from your boss first." The stranger said. "After all, It's better to share the riches with the people, right?"
The stranger showed his appearance to the guards. Most of them were confused as he was wearing some kind of a motorcycle suit while the design has the appearance of an ant. The stranger then opened the helmet to let all of the guards see his face.
"Who the hell are you…?" The captain asked.
"Me? I'm Scott Lang, just an ordinary cat burglar." Scott introduced himself as he closed the helmet back, "But you can call me 'Ant-Man'." [5]

Author's Notes:
It's been two months since I posted the last chapter. Well, I'm very busy with my school so I didn't really have any time to continue working on other projects. I'm already having a hard time continuing The Last Ranger and MHA Reacts: Marvel Cinematic Universe. I don't know when Chapter 4 will be released. Maybe during Christmas break.
[1] A reference in What If…? Episode 1: What If… Peggy Carter Were the First Avenger?
[2] A reference in Hawkeye Episode 4: Partners, Am I Right? where Clint told Kate about his favorite arrow shot which was the one he didn't take.
[3] A reference to both Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and What If…? Episode 8: What If… Ultron Won?
[4] A reference to Tony Stark rebuttal to Loki about if he and his team are unable to protect the Earth then they'll avenge it. It's one of the baddest lines in the MCU for me.
[5] Scott introducing himself first before saying his codename is a reference in Ant-Man (2015) where he literally introduced himself as "Scott" to Falcon. It's one of my favorite scenes in the movie.
Stay tuned for the next chapter. Babush!
