CHAPTER 7: FOREVER FALL

In Ozpin's Office, the Avengers were gathering around except for Scott Lang who was resting peacefully in the dormitory due to manipulating his size into gigantic. Ozpin and Glynda were quite surprised by the capabilities of Ant-Man after seeing the footage from Kuchinashi that Redwing captured for the documentary. The name may sound utterly ridiculous, but it lives up to it. Both of them realized how dangerous the hero was if he wasn't holding back with the full capabilities of the suit. He could kill someone inside of someone's body without having suspicions that it was him. They were lucky to have him as an ally.

"So you've found one of the stranded individuals in Remnant. Good job." Ozpin congratulated the Avengers for finding one of their ally as well as stopping the White Fang from terrorizing Shion Village. He is confident that they're going to be on the internet as someone from that village is bound to post it in order to thank the group of superheroes swooping in and saving the day. He is aware that they're not going to become popular overnight, but once they do, there will be a buzz. "I hope we can find others soon."

"I really hope so as well." Steve agreed. He doesn't know whether or not the stranded individuals were ordinary citizens or not, but it doesn't mean they aren't in danger. There are constant threats in Remnant, so he couldn't afford to lose any one of them. He'll be relieved if all of them were capable of fighting such threats.

There was a notification sound on Glynda's scroll. When she took it out, she had one new message from Qrow. She was quite surprised that Qrow hit a jackpot for following Amber. "Everyone, it seems that Qrow is with a stranded individual right now. Shaun, I believe his name was. They'll arrive here in a couple of hours."

"Damn, that was fast. We found two people from our world in one day." Sam pointed out, satisfied that he and his friends aren't going to be too worried about them judging by how fast they find the stranded individuals.

"I hope this keeps up. We can't afford any of them to die." Natasha said.

"Don't worry, Nat. They won't." Clint reassured his best friend.

"Considering this day was a fortunate one, you may take a rest, Avengers, or you can train yourselves in the Gym to improve yourself. The captain will show you the way." Ozpin said.

Sam raised his eyebrow while smiling, "You already went ahead and trained, huh? You can't really slow down, can you, Cap?"

Steve chuckled before walking out of the door, "Nope, and I'm not planning to."

When the Avengers left the headmaster's office, Glynda found herself lost in thought. She wondered why Ozpin placed a tremendous amount of faith towards the heroes from another world. She now understands why. She could see that they bring hope towards the people instead of fighting the Grimm all the time like the Huntsman. She could see the inspiration that they'll bring towards the next generation of Huntsman and improve themselves to surpass them. It may sound like a dream, but it'll definitely become a reality if the Avengers kept it up. She hopes that they'll continue to bring hope and inspiration into this world before returning to theirs in the near or far future.

"You were right about them, Oz. They are paragons of hope." Glynda said.

Ozpin chuckled, "I am no longer the Indecisive King from the fairy tales, Glynda. I am occasionally right with my decision… thanks to my queen."

Glynda smiled before remembering the situation, "But what are you going to do about the sheriff from Kuchinashi? He isn't the type to accept money since he truly believes that Falcon and Ant-Man are the ones who brought the Grimm to the city. This isn't the first time that happened."

Ozpin sighed in agreement, "You're right. Alabaster is brash and arrogant as Team SAFR informed me through Qrow. This is going to be difficult, but I will try to negotiate with him. If I cannot, then there's nothing I can do but let fate unfold itself. They'll have to handle being hunted down by greedy bounty hunters, but it's not going to end well for them when facing the 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes'."

"Yeah, it is unwise to face them. They aren't ordinary Huntsman and Huntress after all." Glynda agreed with the headmaster. The capabilities of the Avengers are vastly superior than most of the Huntsman and Huntress. After hearing the achievements of Avengers on Earth, it will take more than a few bounty hunters to take them down. She checked the time on her scroll. "My class will start soon. I'll be seeing you later, Professor Ozpin."

After Glynda left, Ozpin pulled a holographic profile of each individual that was transported from Earth to Remnant. Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Ant-Man were marked as FOUND while Peter Parker, Wong, and Black Panther were still marked as MISSING. He then marked Shaun FOUND after Qrow reported in. He has been working to track down other missing individuals in secret, but to no avail. He shares the same worries with Captain Rogers and the rest of the Avengers. He can't afford witnessing people from another world dying in an unfamiliar world, especially Peter Parker who is practically a teenager judging by the photo.

Unknown White Fang Headquarters

In one of the private headquarters somewhere in Remnant, a bull faunus named Adam Taurus, who is the leader of his own team of White Fang, was practicing his swordsmanship on a dummies. He can't afford his skills to slow down as his Semblance requires reflexes and stamina. He imagines the dummies with random humans in order to increase his anger for humans. He sliced five dummies in half at once. It just shows how his anger towards humanity made him stronger than ever before. He sheathed his sword on the side of his hips before inspecting his mask to check whether or not it is cracked for it is a valuable item for him. When he placed it back on his face, one of his men ran towards him to deliver some news. He could tell it ain't good. He is in his firm posture in order to show dominance and authority towards the faunus.

"Mr. Taurus! We've got an issue!" A faunus thug exclaimed with distraught. He doesn't know whether or not it's a good idea to inform him about the incident in Shion Village. He was surprised when some of Jackal's men managed to escape from the mysterious Huntsmen that ambushed them. He is worried that Adam will take his anger on him instead of Jackal as he is currently missing in action. "A group of Huntsmen managed to ambush Jackal and his men in Shion Village. We are unaware of his current location, but… his men are arrested by the Mistral Enforcer Department."

Adam punched the wall near him tempestuously. He didn't need to hear this news right now. He punished Ilia for failing to get some Dust a few days ago, delaying his plan to invade one of the human settlements with full power. He held back in executing her and her team because of Blake, but he promised to kill them if they failed him again. Now, it's even more delayed when Jackal and his men failed themselves to return safely with numerous weapons and Dust that were in their possession. If he ever finds Jackal, he guarantees that he isn't going to hold back because Blake won't be able to stop him because she doesn't know him personally. He turned back his attention towards the faunus who was trembling in fear menacingly. "Who were the group of Huntsmen that stopped them?"

The faunus walked towards Adam to show him a video that the escaped men took a record of before fleeing while his legs were absolutely trembling in fear. When he showed a video to Adam, there were three individuals who were dominating the White Fang in Shion Village. He could tell that Adam was in disbelief that THREE people defeated all of the experienced members of the White Fang. He could see him glaring at each one of them with a killing intent. "They called themselves the Avengers according to the ones who escaped from their grasp."

"Avengers? What a ludicrous name for a team of three." Adam didn't see anything special about the Avengers until he saw the shield of Captain America defying the laws of physics, the accurate archery skills of Hawkeye, and the perfect stealth takedowns of Black Widow. He was more curious about the shield. He could tell that it was a dangerous weapon, but the bright colors ruined it for him. He scoffed at the threat that the three team individuals possessed. "They are the ones who bested Jackal and his men? I'm honestly disappointed so far."

"But they aren't the only members, Mr. Taurus." The faunus corrected him which made Adam raise his eyebrow. He then showed leaked footage from Crystal Town about the Avengers' first activity and the fourth member, Falcon, swooping in from the skies to save humans and faunus alike from the Grimm attack. He could see the confusion within his leader's face on how in the world the human could fly with a functional jetpack, which is the same reaction he had when first seeing the Falcon. "And the man who prevented Ilia and her team from stealing Dust a few days ago? It's the same person who is part of the Avengers. The archer."

Adam stared at him with befuddlement, "Are you joking with me, right now? An archer bested Ilia, Boris, Duolingo, Donut, and Tiana in close quarter combat?" [1]

The faunus shook his head immediately with trepidation, "No, sir! I'm being serious! Remember the reason Ilia failed on her objective was because an archer, who proclaimed himself not to be a Huntsman, stopped her and her team, but you didn't listen to her excuse? He is that same archer confirmed by Boris and Tiana."

Adam clenched his fist while glaring at the Avengers acrimoniously before walking back to his training room, "So they have been messing with my plans to invade one of the human settlements, but I still don't consider them as a threat. Now that we are aware of their existence, they should be easy to handle now. I don't want to hear any excuses from any members who will encounter them in the future. These foolish humans are going to end up like every other Huntsman that we've killed, buried on the ground."

"There is also one thing you should see, sir." The faunus stopped Adam on his tracks. He showed a video that was recorded by one of the citizens in Kuchinashi during a sudden Grimm attack. There was a man who could shrink to the size of an ant. A bunch of Grimm were sent flying as if an invisible force struck them like a bullet. He could see that Adam disregarded him as a threat until the same man began to grow in a gigantic size to grab the Nevermore in order to save the hostages. He shared the same bewilderment with his leader. "We aren't sure if this… man… is part of the Avengers, but both he and the human who can fly are wanted men. This man is also quite famous in Hollow Town known as the Vanishing Bandit after stopping the mayor's tyranny according to one of our spies. They are currently building a new statue of him in the middle per orders from the new mayor."

"…out of all the so-called 'threats' you've shown me, that man who can manipulate his size is the most dangerous one of them all." Adam then read the bounty poster of both Falcon and Ant-Man on the video. The prize is a very bold one if each of them cost around 3,000 Lien. He could use that money for his plans, even though he despises hunting a criminal for a human. "The human sheriff blames these two 'heroes' for the invasion, I say we hunt these two down. We could use some of the money. Send in one of your best trackers to hunt both of them down, but make sure to be careful. These Avengers may look weak, but their tenacity and deceitful nature are one of their defining traits of being a disgusting human."

The faunus lowered his head respectfully, "Yes, sir."

Once the faunus thug left his vicinity, he sent a message to Ilia Amitola on his scroll to meet him at his usual place. He figured that he was too harsh on her when punishing for failing to defeat a human archer, but now he could see the capabilities of Hawkeye. He may look weak in appearance, but his skills with the bow proved to be a challenge with Ilia and her team, so he's going to give her a chance to redeem herself. If she dies before him, then he isn't going to mourn over his weak ally. He'll just have to make sure his lover, Blake, doesn't find out that he sent Ilia on the mission. He doesn't want to have a quarrel between them right now. When Ilia appeared, she kneeled before him as a sign of respect. He reverted back to his firm posture to assert dominance and authority while restraining his anger toward a group of humans who messed with his plans.

"You summoned me, sir?" Ilia questioned. She doesn't know why she is being summoned, but something tells her it's neither good nor bad. She felt intimidated by his presence due to almost dying a few days ago if it weren't for Blake, who she has a crush on ever since they've met. She wondered if Adam is going to execute her now that Blake is on a mission, but she felt like that's not going to happen.

"It seems I've been a bit harsh on you for failing on your mission to retrieve several Dust a few days ago, Ilia. I now understand why you had such a difficult time after seeing the archer you described before." Adam 'apologizes' to Ilia, who was surprised to be reminded of the archer once again after almost forgetting about him due to her friends' influence, though he said it with a disappointed tone meaning he was ashamed that one of his best goons was defeated by a mere human archer. "So, I'm going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. I want you… to kill this archer. He is the weak link to the group known as the Avengers. If you fail again, then a punishment isn't enough for you. Execution will be on the table. Blake won't be there to save you again. Understand?"

"Yes, sir." Ilia was glad to be given a chance to correct her mistakes, but she is terrified if she failed again. The way Hawkeye fought her and her team was one-sided, especially his accuracy, but she can't afford to fail. She wants to witness the White Fang becoming the superior species to humans once and for all, but for some reason, she doesn't want to meet the guy who fought her and essentially ruined her objective a few days ago. It was either out of fear that she'll be decimated again or something else entirely. His words still linger in her mind. She shook her head as it isn't important right now. She has to redeem herself, otherwise, she'll be executed and won't be able to see the glory of White Fang and her friend, Blake, ever again. "Where shall I find him?"

"Presumably City of Vale as that is the last known sighting of him and his team." Adam answered before walking towards the training room, leaving Ilia with a troubled mind of avoiding failure to redeem herself. He doesn't despise Ilia as she has been a valuable member, but he can't afford to see her weak against humans. It'll ruin the image of what the White Fang stands for. "I hope you succeed. Don't fail me again."

When Adam left Ilia alone, she also exited the room. She was frowning due to the fact that she'll be executed if she is unable to redeem herself by killing Hawkeye. She has heard about the Avengers due to the leaked videos about them saving Crystal Town. She didn't expect that Hawkeye would be one of them. She was frightened by his scary accuracy when apprehending and incapacitating the White Fang members in Shion Village. If Jackal and his men couldn't defeat the Avengers easily, then she wouldn't make a difference in killing one of them. She is the only person who doesn't underestimate Hawkeye. She is inexperienced in combat compared to Jackal, so she isn't confident facing the archer once again, but she'll have to try in order to survive… alone. She can't afford to bring her allies, otherwise, they'll also be faced with execution from Adam. Besides, she is confident that they won't accompany her anyway to save their own skins and furs. Unexpectedly, she encountered Blake who recently came back from her mission, which was infiltration.

"Blake." Ilia stopped on her tracks while her heart was beating rapidly from confronting her crush.

"Ilia? What are you doing here? Were you… summoned by Adam…?" Blake was worried for her friend. She could see the green skin and blue hair on Ilia which are the emotions of sorrow and sadness. She understands why Adam is frustrated with her friend because of failure, but she didn't want her to die for a simple mistake. This caused her to question herself whether or not aligning with the White Fang was a good choice as she initially thought, but she shrugged it off as she ignores the negative qualities and instead focuses on the positive, which is to make humans recognize them as equals.

"Yeah, it was nothing. He just… 'forgave' me and gave me a chance to redeem myself with a mission…" Ilia doesn't want Blake to worry about her, so she isn't going to mention that her new mission is to kill Hawkeye. She had already told Blake about him a few days ago. She remembered when Blake was more slightly surprised that a human could say something so kind and reassuring when they are known for being cruel towards the faunus than the fact a human fought her without any Semblance or Aura. "I should be going now. I don't want to disappoint him again."

"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you if you fail. I'll convince him." Blake reassured her friend. She cannot allow Adam to execute her only closest friend in th White Fang for her failures. She had a fallout with her family for choosing to join the White Fang instead of staying with them, and Ilia was the one who comforted her when she needed it the most. She cannot afford to lose her only friend in the White Fang.

Unfortunately, Ilia knows that Adam wouldn't listen to Blake's plea twice in a row. She'll be executed by him or any other member of the White Fang secretly if she fails her mission, and probably disguise it with humans ambushing her as that's how the White Fang operates as well as convincing the other faunus of how all humans are cruel towards their kind. Once she silently bid her farewells to Blake, she exited the headquarters for her new mission. She passed by her allies from a few days ago, who simply watched her leave, uncaring whether or not she'll survive the next day. She then camouflaged herself with the surroundings in order to avoid being spotted by humans, especially when she needed to get on a ship or airship illegally later.

City of Vale

Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, decided to roam around the city at night while his teammates stayed in the dormitories to get some sleep for tomorrow's fight. He was dressed in ordinary clothes to avoid anyone from suspecting he was Hawkeye as there were few villagers who recorded him and his friends departing from the village, so he is bound to be recognized. It's fortunate that the videos aren't popular or trending, otherwise, he would've been swarmed with paparazzi immediately. He only brought his makeshift weapon, Ronin, which is underneath the back of his shirt to defend himself in case there is a fight. After a few minutes of roaming around, he decided to enter a random bar to get some drinks. It has been stressful for the past few days. He is supposed to be retired from the whole superhero work, yet he is thrust back to it when Arnim Zola transported him as well. He swore that he is going to plug an arrow on his artificial eyes or ruin him with a drop of water.

Once Clint entered the bar through the automatic sliding doors, the inside was ridiculously huge. There was a dance floor directly ahead, down a flight of stairs. Six large crystalline pillars surrounded the floor, with the DJ's booth located on the opposite side from the entry stairs. A long bar was along the left side of the dance floor. There were several balconies along the walls overlooking the dance floor, connected by stairs. Above the dance floor on the ceiling was a rotating ring shaped rig of light, laser and holographic projectors. Additional projectors were mounted on fixed rigs between the columns. There were some people partying while some were conversing on the couch, presumably criminals as the place is famous for it according to his research. He was then greeted by the bouncer before he could go any further.

"Hey, never seen you before." The bouncer pointed out while observing Clint closely in case he's a troublemaker. He has known and met quite a couple of people in City of Vale, yet he is unfamiliar with the man in front of him.

"That's because I'm visiting." Clint answered. It'll be bad if there'll be trouble between us already, so he'll try to get out of the situation peacefully. He simply came into the bar to reduce his stress in the first place, not pick a damn fight like in the movies. "I am from out of town… out of country more like it."

"Hmm… I see. Just don't cause any trouble. You wouldn't like it." The bouncer warned the Avenger.

"Wasn't planning to in the first place anyway." Clint proceeded to walk towards the counter. He looked around every corner of the bar while trying to endure the loud music that was playing and avoiding the people dancing on the dance floor. He isn't particularly fond of intense parties like this one as it isn't his style compared to Tony Stark. He was feeling uncomfortable due to the vibration throughout the bar. He briefly stopped on his tracks when he saw an orange-haired 'gentleman', who was wearing a red-lined white suit with long black pants and black shoes with a bowler hat, conversing with some random strangers before resuming walking towards the counter.

"Hm?" The bartender noticed the man walking towards his counter to presumably order some drinks. He was kind of familiar with the man, but he shrugged it off as he has a customer to serve. He stopped wiping the glass before greeting him. "Hello. You're new here, aren't you?"

"Yeah, just here to get some drinks." Clint answered before placing 20 Lien on the counter while yawning. "Do you have a drink that eases my mind easily, but it isn't strong enough to get me drunk?"

The bartender accepted the money, "Of course. I guess you aren't the type to get drunk huh, mister."

"I don't really want to be in that state right now. There might be an emergency." Clint then took a seat while stretching before staring at the orange-haired man once again. "I have a question, if I may. Who is that man?"

The bartender stared at the familiar man that Clint was curious about while preparing his drink, "That would be Roman Torchwick. He is a troublemaker around these parts. He's a pain to my ass as well."

"I see." Clint recalled remembering something about the criminals a few days ago said about a guy named 'Roman Torchwick', which is oddly similar to the character Romeo Candlewick from the story of Pinocchio. He remembered that Roman was a well known criminal in both Vale and Mistral. He also remembered that he was supposed to be in prison, yet he is right there free as a bird. He wanted to apprehend him, but he doesn't want to cause any mess so he'll do so later outside of the bar.

"Here is your drink, sir. Mary on Lil' Lamb." The bartender handed over the drink to Clint. The color of the drink was purple, which was a bit coincidental considering the people on Earth paired the hero with the color purple for some reason. "The satisfying taste will make you forget about your worries with one shot, but it wouldn't make you drunk so easily. You can have four to six shots, and you'll still be fine. I recommend not reaching ten though. You'll probably going to have an intense hangover tomorrow."

"Thanks." Clint couldn't help, but wonder whether he wants to laugh at the connections between Remnant and Earth such as the name of the drink or the fact that the drink looks like it belongs in the kid section. Nonetheless, he took a sip before releasing a lot of breath. He felt the stress within body dispersed in an instant, which surprised him. The Mary on Lil' Lamb was very effective despite the ridiculous, coincidental name. He was about to request another drink until he received a message from Professor Ozpin. "Duty calls. I'll be going now. Nice to meet you by the way. I'm Clint Barton."

The bartender nodded before introducing himself, "Junior. You're welcome to come back to Junior's at any time."

"Huh, so you own the place." Clint before walking towards the exit while staring at Roman Torchwick who burst into laughter, along with the random strangers. He briefly saw a young woman who liked the embodiment of a Neapolitan ice cream until he was outside of the bar. He stretched his entire body before running towards Beacon Academy as it's an emergency. "During my break as well. What does the headmaster want late at night?"

Beacon Academy, Ozpin's Office

When Clint arrived at Ozpin's Office with his tactical gear and weapons, all of the members of the Avengers were assembled with their gear as well, including Ant-Man who had already filled out everything about Remnant and its secret recently before being called upon by Professor Ozpin. Neither of them knew why they were called so late at night, but they could tell it was important judging by Glynda's panic which was oddly unusual to see.

"Now, Avengers. I sincerely apologize for calling you late at night, but I have some unfortunate news." Ozpin informed them before showing a holographic map with a red blinking dot on Forever Fall. He then played a distress signal that was sent, along with the location. It was only a short recording of students screaming for help and monstrous roars from the Grimm. "This was a distress call that I recently received."

"What's going on? Are they your students?" Steve asked while worried for the students. He hopes that they are safe from the Grimm if they are trainees from Beacon Academy, otherwise, they are long gone if they are simply ordinary civilians.

Glynda nodded, "They are. Team CFVY were sent on a mission to retrieve a rare sapling for Professor Peach's class while subjugating an overcrowded Grimm, but they haven't been in contact with us since lunch… until now. It seems that something went awry with the mission. The distraught message was probably recorded earlier, but due to the low signals on the north eastern part of the forest, we only received the message just now."

"I want you, Avengers, to please find and rescue Team CFVY. I can't risk losing students knowing that we can save them." Ozpin begged the Avengers to save his beloved students. He couldn't afford losing another one, which almost broke him for witnessing a child dying in his sight. Whenever children that he is supposed to train and protect are killed in front of him, he will almost break his calm composure and almost undergo a depression, but he has to remain strong in order to prevent any more from dying.

"You don't even have to beg, headmaster. We would've done so anyway." Steve shared the same feeling as Ozpin. He can't afford to witness children dying knowing he can save them in time. He still had slight PTSD from World War II left within his mind, a war where he is unable to save his companions and civilians alike. He can't save everyone, but it doesn't mean he can't try.

"I'll be coming with you. I am more knowledgeable about that forest than most ever since I was a student in this academy." Glynda volunteered to accompany the Avengers to the Forever Fall. She hasn't been fighting in quite a while because of duty as a teacher, but it doesn't mean her skills are faltered by the relaxation. She will aid the Earth's Mightiest Heroes considering that Qrow hasn't arrived on Vale yet.

"Are you sure, Glynda?" Steve asked worriedly. He doesn't underestimate Glynda for she is a skillful Huntress, but he is more worried about something he couldn't explain verbally.

"I'll be fine, Steve." Glynda reassured the Star-Spangled Man. "Besides, I'm quite curious on how you fight."

"Well, what are we waiting for!?" Scott asked excitedly before pressing the button near the neck to activate the helmet. "We've got some kids to save!"

Sam chuckled, "Calm your enthusiasm, tic tac."

"So we're going to borrow the Beacon Airship again?" Natasha asked while inspecting her Widow's Bites in case they malfunctioned. "It's the fastest way to reach them after all."

"You may use whatever you need to save Team CFVY." Ozpin approved their permission to use the airship again. He doesn't really care if the Avengers start to use the airship as their mode of transportation, as he has plenty of them in Beacon anyway.

Clint yawned while counting his ordinary arrows and trick arrows before putting them back on his quiver, "Let's get this over with. I need some coffee after this."

"Alright, Avengers. We have our assignment. Let's go." Steve ordered them to follow him, which already surprised Glynda by the captain's authority to command his team members.

Forever Fall

Upon arriving on Forever Fall in ten minutes, the Avengers and Glynda Goodwitch exited to the Beacon Airship to find the missing Team CFVY. When they look around the place, it is a mountainous area that has many cliffs and is covered by a forest of red-leafed trees, allowing the whole area to appear as a dust-red color, even with the grass. They then cut through a low point in the forest where a wide railway track was shown, upon which a large cargo train travels.

"Before we head in for a search and rescue, tell us about this place." Steve asked Glynda politely, as he doesn't want him and his team to run around blindly. He needs to know about the Forever Fall in order to formulate a plan. "We need to know what we're up against, Glynda."

"Very well, Steve. This place is where the Red Saps are collected. The red saps are used to attract the Grimm as they are addicted to the smell, hence why we used them in order to prevent the Grimm from finding its way to Beacon Academy's main campus." Glynda answered. "But it seems that Professor Peach sent Team CFVY, one of the strongest teams in our academy, to collect some as we had run out."

"So the red sap is important. That explains the cargo train tracks." Clint pointed out. "They need it to stowaway the red sap and deliver it to another country."

"Yeah, but nobody would often come here as this place is overrun with Grimm due to the red sap." Glynda said. "They usually come here whenever there are several Huntsmen in their aid, otherwise, it would be a death sentence to come here despite its majestic appearance in the morning."

"Well, we aren't planning to die in a place with a lot of Grimm until we rescue Team CFVY… if they are still alive, that is." Natasha confused her friends whether she was being optimistic or pessimistic in her sentence. She did it on purpose in order to slightly lighten the mood after hearing their potential death, not it bothers her and others anymore considering the threats they faced is much worse.

"Alright then." Steve turned his attention towards Scott who was still dizzy and tired from the transformation a few hours ago. All of the heroes became serious when Captain America was about to give order, which surprised Glynda. "Scott, I heard you can control ants. Deploy the ants to set the perimeter and scout the missing students. Can you do that?"

"Yeah, I was lucky enough to tweak the EMP Communications Device, or Ant Training Device for preference, that allows me to control ants earlier because the frequency and atmosphere was a bit different on Remnant than Earth's." Scott answered before placing the device on his ear in order to communicate with ants of Remnant. [2]

Sam chuckled, "So that explains why you're still tired and dizzy. You have been working on that thing."

"A different atmosphere? That explains why my old explosive trick arrows produced only a small explosion until I bought an explosive material for the arrows in this world. I didn't think about that." Clint understood why his old trick arrows weren't as effective as on Earth. He wondered if the trick arrows he made with the materials from Remnant would be effective on Earth. He'll test that theory once he returns home with his friends.

"What are you talking about controlling ants?" Glynda asked curiously. She had initially thought that Scott had an ability to shrink and grow in sizes. She was in disbelief to discover that he has one more ability that she has never heard about.

Scott giggled, "You'll see soon enough, ma'am."

When Scott activated the device, he stared at the ground with pure focus. Ants were then emerging anywhere ranging from different species. Glynda widened her eyes from the sudden arrival of ants who surrounded Scott as he is the one who summoned them. It completely changed her mindset about the ridiculous codename. Ant-Man was a dangerous hero who has the ability to control ants and can manipulate his size. As the ants then scattered everywhere to locate the missing students as well as detect the Grimm, Scott turned back to see the reactions.

"I've already sent the ants, Cap. They should alert me if they locate any missing students." Scott informed the team leader while containing his amusement by the shocked expression of Glynda Goodwitch.

"Good." Steve then turned his attention back to Glynda. "You aren't afraid of ants, right, Glynda? If so, I sincerely apologize."

"N-No, I'm not terrified. I'm just… baffled…" Glynda still couldn't wrap her head around how in the world Scott managed to summon and control numerous ants. There was once a classmate in Beacon whose Semblance controlled insects back in her academy days, yet he couldn't control an army of them even until now. "How did you do that?"

"It's the EMP Communication Device. It uses electromagnetic waves to stimulate the olfactory nerve center of insects and mimic their pheromones, allowing me to communicate with and control them." Scott explained the complicated device to the professor, which confuses her even more. "Basically, I speak to them. I can go anywhere, hear anything, and see everything that the ants can." [3]

"That's impressive. I don't think Atlas has the capability to build such a simple device." Glynda was vastly impressed with the device. It seems to have no limitation unlike Semblances. She wondered if Semblances will be replaced with technology in the far future since the EMP Communication Device certainly acts like a Semblance.

"Sam, take to the skies. Send out your drones and call out anything you see. We need all the eyes we could get." Steve ordered the Falcon to oversee the area above. "And drop Clint off the tallest area you could find. I need his eyes as well."

"Copy that, Cap." Sam said.

Clint sighed before readying himself for the flight, "This is the second time I'm going to be picked up by flying bastards." [4]

Sam laughed before holding on to Clint's shoulders, "Get used to it. Brace yourself now."

When Falcon departed into the sky with Hawkeye in full blast, Glynda couldn't believe how fast the falcon hero was. Its capabilities defeat the ones that Atlas has been producing despite its old-looking appearance. She is confident that General Ironwood would attempt to replicate the wingsuit in order to strengthen the country and extra protection from the other threats. It would certainly help the issues with flying Grimm.

"Nat, you and I are the ground scouts." Steve ordered her before unsheathing his shield. "We'll start with the last known location of Team CFVY. We may have some clues as to where they went. You're coming with us too, Glynda."

Natasha smirked before taking the glocks out of her pocket and cocked it, "Your orders, Cap."

"Yes, Steve." Glynda couldn't help, but be impressed with Captain Rogers' leadership skills. All of his friends trusted him without any suggestions compared to the more experienced Huntsmen and Huntresses who are always doubting their leader whether the orders were good or bad. There are only a few rare team leaders who displayed an aura of one, including Captain Rogers.

"Scott, you stay here while getting waiting reports from the ants. There may be Grimm that will attack the airship. We need it to get back to the academy." Steve gave another order to Ant-Man. "But if you spot one of the students nearby, go to them immediately. Don't wait for us, but you have to come back here as soon as possible."

Scott nodded, "Yes, Captain America!"

"Alright, team. We have our assignments. Let's move." Steve said before walking towards the last known location of Team CFVY along with Black Widow and Glynda.

"Roger!" Natasha, Sam, Clint, and Scott replied back over the comms.

Somewhere in Forever Fall, a rabbit faunus and fox faunus were hiding behind a big boulder while covered in bruises and light wounds. The fox faunus, Fox Alistair, took most of the damage to protect the rabbit faunus, Velvet Scarlatina, as she isn't really the best fighter among Team CFVY unless she uses her Semblance which she already did earlier to fend off against the seemingly endless Grimm attacks. They were separated from the rest of the team during the heat of the moment. Currently, the two of them are attempting to hide from the Death Stalker and Boarbatusk who are searching for them by sensing their negative emotions.

Fox, whose Semblance is Telepathy, can sense that panic within Velvet's thoughts. If she keeps expressing her negative side of emotions, then the Grimm will find them sooner. He had to keep her calm. "Velvet, you need to calm down. Everything will be alright."

"How are you so calm, Fox? We don't know where Coco and Yatsuhashi are. We are lost in the forest surrounded by the Grimm." Velvet expressed her fear with a timid tone. Out of all the members of Team CFVY, she is the only one who is always afraid. She was basically a liability. She blamed herself for getting her friends into the mess because they had to prioritize her safety as well.

"You aren't a liability, Vel. You just need a push." Fox reassured his fellow team members. He couldn't believe that Velvet has a low opinion of herself in her mind because she is the weakest member of their team. Neither one of them thought of her as a liability due to her powerful Semblance. "We'll find a way to get out of here. Remember our training, we mustn't panic or the Grimm will find us easily."

Velvet breathes in and out to calm herself down, "Sorry, Fox. I guess I lost my confidence ever since I kept getting picked on for being a faunus."

"I'm a faunus too, Vel. I experienced the same thing, but I don't dwell on their words. You mustn't as well. You need to be strong as that's the job of a Huntsman. We must be strong physically and mentally." Fox understood how Velvet felt of being bullied because the faunus aren't too welcome in Beacon Academy due to their animalistic existence, but that didn't stop him from achieving his dream of becoming a Huntsman as a promise to his late uncle, Copper. He then stood up before offering his hand to help her stand. "C'mon, Vel. We need to find a way out, but I need you to be strong. Can you do that?"

Velvet stared at him briefly before accepting his hand, "I-I'll try…"

"Let's go. We're going back to the campsite." Fox said before preparing his Sharp Retribution, a pair of blades attached to his arms. "There's a chance that Coco and Yatsu are there. If not, then we have to salvage what we can. We don't know how long we're going to be stranded in Forever Fall."

Velvet nodded, "Okay…"

As the two of them walk back to camp while avoiding the Creatures of Grimm, they contemplate the sudden ambush of Grimm earlier. Everything was going fine with the mission as they collected a fair amount of red saps, but then the Grimm suddenly ambushed them once the sun set. They were attacked by Beowolves because apparently their camp was near their nest. They were then attacked by a Death Stalker from below, which separated them from the others. When they were about to regroup, they were then swarmed with Lancers causing them to run away from each other and regroup later. It has been an hour or two since they've met with Coco and Yatsuhashi. They were considered as one of the strongest team in Beacon Academy thanks to the leadership of the lesbian fashionista, Coco Adel, yet they were easily outnumbered by the Grimm.

Fox and Velvet took a lot of damage during their escape from the Grimm. They are slowly healing thanks to their Aura, but they could break at any second if they engage in combat again, hence why they are avoiding direct combat with the Grimm. It may be a cowardly act to some, but it's a tactical one to those with common sense. Now that they think about it, they couldn't hear any monstrous roars from the Grimm nor the ground vibration from their legs for quite a while now. Unbeknownst to them, several of the Grimm were killed silently by a swarm of ants. When the ants detected two of them, they alerted Ant-Man while some of them flew towards them closer to ensure their safety.

Velvet stopped on her tracks when there was an insect buzzing around her. She waved her hand to get rid of them, but it wasn't effective as more of them flew towards her. She swings her arms in a clumsy manner to get rid of them while trying not to get bit by one of them, unbeknownst to her that they aren't harming her per orders from Ant-Man. She then squealed adorably, "Eek! Fox!"

Fox chuckled, "Calm down, Vel. Those are just inse…flying ants. I didn't know ants could fly."

"Uh… could you maybe help me out please?" Velvet asked for help until the flying ants dispersed, except for one who was in front of her.

"You guys must be the students that are missing." An unknown voice that neither of them recognized converse with them from somewhere. "You didn't have to be afraid of the ants. They were… partially… harmless."

"Huh!?" Fox and Velvet are unaware where the voice is coming from. Both of them looked around to pinpoint the voice, but they couldn't find the unknown person at all. They thought he must've had an invisibility Semblance, but it's unlikely as it doesn't last long. Fox used his Telepathy to detect the man, but he was bewildered when the mind of the unknown person was… tiny as an ant.

Suddenly, both of them were surprised when a man, who was wearing an unusual suit that resembles a motorcyclist outfit with an odd-shaped helmet, emerged into his normal size in front of them. Both of them pulled out their weapons instinctively, aiming them at the unknown stranger. They can't be too careful as the man could be a friend or foe.

"Woah, easy there! I'm friendly!" Ant-Man raised his hand in a placating manner. He should've known better to scare these children who are essentially trained to become superheroes. He should note that appearing out of nowhere will lead him to death in this world. "I mean you no harm."

"Who are you!?" Fox asked cautiously.

Ant-Man deactivated his helmet by pressing the button to reveal his face, "Hi, I'm Scott Lang. You may call me Ant-Man. I was sent here with my team to retrieve you and the rest of your team after Professor Ozpin received your distress call."

"Really? Professor Ozpin sent you guys to save us? Thank you." Velvet expressed her thanks meekly. She cannot stand another minute in darkness. She wants to see the light, which is her dorm room that is filled with various pictures.

Fox sighed before sheathing his weapon, "I'm glad. We don't have to wait here for long. It's been a long day."

"You're not the only one." Scott agreed with him before going to the comms to inform his team members. "Guys, I've found two members of Team CFVY."

"Well done, tic tac." Falcon congratulated Ant-Man for finding them already over the comms. "I'm on my way to retrieve them in ETA 30 Seconds. Over."

"Good job, Scott. You may return back to the airship and protect it." Captain America said over the comms. "Let us know if your ants have any information."

"Roger that, Cap." Scott said before breathing in and out repeatedly to prevent himself from fainting due to the exhaustion. "I'm going to head back now. Someone will retrieve you and drop you off in the airship. I'll see you there."

"Wait! Are you a Huntsman?" Fox couldn't contain his curiosity. He hasn't seen a professional Huntsman in front of him, but something is telling him that Ant-Man isn't one. He could use his Semblance confidently, but he is too exhausted to do so. He'll probably have a nosebleed.

"Uh… you could say. Me and my team are kind of… special cases." Ant-Man answered vaguely before turning his attention to Velvet and her rabbit ears. "You're adorable, you know. My daughter would love to meet you."

Velvet blushed from the compliment, "Oh… uh… thanks?"

Fox chuckled, "I see you aren't used to compliments yet, Vel."

"S-Shut up." Velvet couldn't contain her blush as she couldn't handle genuine praise and compliments from others.

When Falcon descended from the skies at incredible yet careful speed, Fox and Velvet flinched from his unexpected arrival. Fox looked up at the sky, confused on how in the world did this unknown stranger drop from the sky unharmed and unscathed. Falcon walked towards them with a placating manner in order to not scare the children.

"Hey, you must be the missing students. I am Lieutenant Sam Wilson. Falcon, if you may." Falcon introduced himself respectfully while both of them were still bewildered by his sudden appearance. "We can't stay in one place. I'll take you back to the airship. We still need to find your two other friends."

Fox nodded, "Yes, we shall go. Let's go, Vel."

"Hmm." Velvet agreed.

As both of them walked towards the Falcon, he slowly grabbed both of their shoulders before ascending to the skies slowly and carefully, otherwise, they'll suffer broken bones and intense air pressure if he increases his speed. Fox and Velvet shrieked from the unexpected flight off the ground, as this is the first time they've experienced flying. It wasn't majestic as they first thought in their dreams since they are not the ones piloting whatever Falcon was wearing on his back.

On the other side of the forest, Captain America, Black Widow, and Glynda Goodwitch trekked through the forest by using the GPS to locate the distress call in hopes they'll stumble on their last known location. Glynda was relieved that her students are safe and sound thanks to Ant-Man and Falcon. A minute later, they stumbled across a campsite. There were scattered red saps and unused ammos everywhere.

"The red saps. Professor Peach has always been obsessed with them due to their capabilities of attracting Grimm. She has a theory that there's a possibility that Grimm can be controlled via sedative of the saps." Glynda said. "So far, nothing has changed in the past few years since working at Beacon Academy."

"Probably because of what we've read about the Grimm, they are soulless monsters which is why they don't have any Aura." Black Widow recalled the nature of the Creatures of Grimm. "They may be attracted to the red saps, but it certainly doesn't make them lose their minds towards them. It is basically like marijuana for monsters."

"You're right. Speaking of Aura, do you both consider unlocking yours?" Glynda asked curiously, which surprised both Captain America and Black Widow.

"Hold on. Is that even possible?" Captain America questioned the possibility. He hadn't considered unlocking his Aura due to coming from a different world. "We're not from this world. I don't think we can unlock them here."

"How do you know if you don't try? There are some people who unlock their Auras late until they reach the age of fifteen to twenty. They are basically late bloomers." Glynda believes that both of them, as well as other heroes, have a possibility to unlock their Auras and Semblances despite hailing from Earth. She couldn't wait to see what extra abilities they would possess. "If you can unlock your Auras and Semblances, it will certainly give you an extra advantage against our enemies. No offense to your current abilities."

"None taken. I think we'll be fine with what we have." Steve refused to unlock his Aura yet. "We'll reconsider it once we face an enemy that we can't defeat."

"Yeah. While it is a struggle to defeat anyone who has Auras and Semblances for me, I can still manage." Black Widow agreed with the captain. She is interested in unlocking her own Aura and Semblance to give herself an advantage against enemies of Remnant, but for now, she'll stick with old fashion until she has no choice. "Besides, I'll be uncomfortable with having powers."

"Alright then, let me know if you ne-"

Suddenly, Glynda was cut off when an explosion occurred in the distance. There were numerous normal birds flying away while the Creatures of Grimm were roaring loudly in the distance, meaning some of them were lured towards the loud noise and the other two members of Team CFVY could be in danger. As proven when a couple of Grimm went past them despite being only a few meters away.

"Clint? I assume you saw that?" Steve asked through the comms.

"Clear as day, Cap." Hawkeye answered through the comms while standing on top of a tall tree. He can see everything from below despite the numerous trees that should've blocked his view if he was an ordinary person. "Confirmed. There are two children fighting the Creatures of Grimm with a minigun and a greatsword. Hold on… I think I recognize one of them. You better get there, Cap."

"On it. Let's go." Captain America, along with Black Widow and Glynda ran towards the explosion. "Sam, if you finished delivering the other two. Fly towards the explosion immediately. You're currently the fastest one out of us."

"Understand, Cap." Falcon got the message as he placed both Fox and Velvet gently. He then departed, leaving them with Ant-Man who was drinking a non-carbonated soda which he isn't a fan of.

"Be careful, Sam. There are a couple of Griffons in the sky." Hawkeye warned him through the comms while drawing three arrows before shooting them at the three Griffons on their heads, as they fell from the sky lifeless. "A bunch of them spotted me. I'm going to head back now. Be careful."

"Copy that!" Falcon heeded the warning while preparing the miniature drone missiles on his wingsuit to ready them for deployment.

Meanwhile, Coco Adel and Yatsuhashi Daichi were fending off the Grimm. It was reckless of them to kill the Grimm with an explosion, only to lure more of the ugly creatures towards them. Coco gritted her teeth as her weapon was starting to run out of ammo due to leaving some of them back on the campsite while feeling the muscle pain urging her to drop her weapon, Gianduja, constantly while Yatsuhashi felt the same. When Coco finally ran out of ammo, both of them accepted their deaths as the swarm of Grimm were running towards them with pure intent to kill. Suddenly, an explosion occurred around them. A bunch of Grimm were killed from it.

Coco stared at the sky where a flying man passed by them, "What in the…?"

After Falcon shot a bunch more Grimm with his twin guns, he landed in front of them as they raised their weapons on him cautiously. "Woah, easy there. Are you the missing students of Team CFVY? We're here to help."

"I-Is that so…?" Coco couldn't believe what she witnessed just now. A single man, who can somehow soar to the skies, took out several Grimm in an instant. She couldn't say anything due to the bewilderment.

"Are you Huntsman?" Yatsuhashi asked the question to his leader.

"Kind of." Sam then turned around to see more Grimm heading towards them. He grabbed their shoulders without any time to waste. Both of them slightly freaked out when they were ascending to the skies while gripping tightly to their respective weapons as they didn't want to lose it. As Sam headed back towards the drop zone, a bunch of fliers were pursuing him. "Cap, I got the remaining students. There are Griffons chasing me right now and these students are incredibly heavy by the way, causing me to slow down."

"Hang on, Sam." Black Widow said over the comms.

"Not an option!" Falcon yelled at his friend, reminiscing the time when she told him to stay still in a building that was going to crush him if he did back in 2014. He was kind of frustrated because he is confident that she did it on purpose in order to tick him off, which is effective in the current situation. [5]

"Our apologies." Yatsuhashi isn't offended by the honesty as he is heavy due to his body. He looked back to see the Griffons catching up to them. He wanted to swing Fulcrum, but the adrenaline in his body ran out and it would've been a bad idea when he is in the air being carried by a falcon guy.

As Falcon was near to arrive at the airship, the Griffons were shot by multiple arrows from the ground as well as a shield that sliced through them. Captain America caught the shield that was falling from the ground before delivering a punch at Beringel's legs, causing it to bend in one knee. He then sliced off its head with one swing of his shield. Hawkeye, on the other hand, was fighting Grimm in close quarters with a sword that was switched from the bow mode along with his best friend, Black Widow, with her shock gauntlets and glocks. When Falcon dropped off Coco and Yatsuhashi with Velvet and Fox, he joined the fight immediately.

"Coco! I'm so glad you're safe!" Velvet was relieved that her team leader was safe and sound while her light wounds were disappearing slowly thanks to her Aura.

Coco chuckled while groaning before dropping her weapon on the ground, "I should be the one saying that, Vel. I see that you're also saved by them."

"Yeah, I was wary about them because they claimed they aren't Huntsmen until I saw Professor Goodwitch on the way here. It seems they were indeed sent here to save us." Fox said while touching the side of his stomach in pain.

"We need to thank them later." Yatsuhashi said.

"So, it seems that you guys are going to be fine thanks to your Aura. I'm going to aid my friends now." Ant-Man then activated his helmet, eager to fight with the rest of the Avengers. He is slightly worried about leaving the children, but considering they are trained to fight and are currently healing their injuries slowly due to their Aura. It's safe to say they will be alright. "We'll be back before you know it."

"Who was that?" Coco asked as soon Scott left them, unable to witness the disappearance act he did while Yatsuhashi witnessed it with a surprised expression on his face.

"Well, that was A-" Fox couldn't finish his sentence upon witnessing the battle between the Avengers, along with Professor Goodwitch, and the Grimm.

Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man were facing the enemies on the ground while Falcon was facing the flying ones with the aid of Hawkeye with his archery. Captain America threw his shield at multiple Grimm, ricocheting off each other, before it flew back to his hands while Glynda uses her Semblance, Telekinesis, to create a bunch of sharp projectiles from the ground before unleashing them at the Grimm with the aid of her weapon, The Disciplinarian, a thin, black riding crop with a simple black and purple design on the handle.

Black Widow then used her flexibility to dodge a Beringel's attack before climbing on to his face and kill it with a glock while Hawkeye was slicing through the Grimm before transforming it into a bow to shoot at the Death Stalker, killing it in two shots by targeting its main weak spots - the tail and its insides with an explosive arrow, before shooting an arrow at the head of three Griffons. Falcon then shot the wings of the Griffons before slicing them in half with his sharp and deadly wingsuit by spinning around like an aileron roll while sending a couple of drone missiles at the Griffons as well as the uglies on the ground.

Ant-Man, on the other hand, sends an army of ants to kill all the Grimm who were trying to get rid of the swarm of ants that were covering their entire body. He then shrank down in the size of an ant before running towards a Beowulf. He then leaped towards it, delivering a bullet-like punch which sent the monster flying. It was then unfortunately sliced by Captain America's indestructible shield, which ricocheted back to its thrower.

"Holy moly. Look at them go." Fox may be blind, but his sense of hearing was enhanced so he could hear the fight clearly or use his Semblance, Telepathy, to 'see' their memories.

"Yeah, the level of teamwork they are displaying right now." Yatsuhashi said. "They are not even contradicting one another, but instead aid one another flawlessly."

"They are so cool. It's like… seeing superheroes from comic books come to life…!" Velvet expressed her excitement. She may not be a big fan on comic books, but the concept of superheroes is one of the reasons she wanted to become a Huntress.

"Hold on. I know that man." Coco recognized the archer. She isn't sure if he was the same person she met a few days ago, but she remembered the weapon that she helped crafted with. One of the reasons she recognized him was because of his particular use of bow, which she often doesn't see anyone use.

Fox raised his eyebrow, "You do? When did you guys meet?"

"I don't know. It was a few days ago. I didn't think he would actually fight in the battle with a bow." Coco couldn't believe that Hawkeye was actually using a bow to fight in a real battle rather than for stealth missions. She thought he would be using a sword instead, but she could see that he was only using it whenever a Grimm was closer to him before reverting back to the bow.

Both Captain America and Glynda executed a double team when the former threw his shield at six different enemies before the latter used her Semblance to control the shield telekinetically while it still maintained the momentum of the throw, killing Grimm. Glynda then gave the shield back to Captain America who leaped into the air, grabbed the shield, and slammed it through a Boarbatusk which broke through its bone-like mask before slicing the exposed skin with his weapon. Upon witnessing the full capabilities of Glynda Goodwitch who shielded herself from ten to twenty Grimm before sending them flying and killing them with projectiles, he was simply blown away by the calm professor before he ran towards five Beowolves with his enhanced speed. As the Beowolves swung their claws at the patriotic soldier, Captain America dodged the attack before slicing their legs off with his shield. He then grabbed one of the Beowolves' jaw before throwing it on the sky where Glynda exterminated it, along with other Beowolves with deadly projectiles.

The Falcon swiftly dodged a bunch of Griffons' attacks before shooting them with his twin guns while a bunch of arrows froze, burned, and electrocuted a bunch of Griffons as they fell on the ground. He flew downwards to chase the falling Grimm by deactivating his wingsuit before shooting them on their heads mercilessly. He activated his wingsuit immediately to ascend back to the sky where he released more drone missiles at the Griffons, which killed them successfully. The problem was he is starting to run out of missiles. He needed to craft several of them with tic tac tomorrow. He then stabbed one of the Griffons on its chest, as both of them were falling on the ground. He landed on the ground safely thanks to using the Grimm as a surfboard like Black Widow did with the Nevermore a few days ago.

Black Widow was agile enough to dodge numerous attacks from Beowolves and Beringels before killing them with her Widow's Bites or two glocks while Hawkeye shot numerous regular arrows at the Grimm without missing any of them before transforming his bow into a sword when a bunch of hornet Grimm, Lancer, were flying towards him. He sliced them easily before activating the red Dust embedded on his sword which covered the blade with fire and burned all of the hornet Grimm upon contact with the sword. He then heavily swung his sword, as a massive splash of red flames sliced and burned multiple Grimm at once. Black Widow executed the same move when she activated the Lightning Dust on her Widow's Bite to shoot deadly yellow lightning at Beringels and Beowolves.

Out of all the heroes, Ant-Man was seemingly the most relaxed one ever since he tweaked the EMP Communication Device but he occasionally aided the other heroes whenever they were in deep trouble. When two Nevermores appeared in the sky, Falcon flew away immediately as they were pursuing him at incredible speed. Ant-Man enlarged himself and grabbed both of them before crushing them like paper to save the flying hero, returning the favor for helping him in Kuchinashi. Team CFVY were bewildered by the sheer size of Ant-Man before he shrank back to ordinary size.

Janet ghostly appeared before Ant-Man, "Are you alright, Scott? I can feel that you're on the brink of fainting."

Ant-Man was gasping as he felt his heart being crushed before breathing in and out to calm himself, "I'll be fine, Ms. van Dyne."

Meanwhile, Coco was bewildered by such impressive teamwork between the Avengers and their ridiculous abilities that was unheard of. She was proud that her team had some development in both power and teamwork despite one of their members being 'weak' without her Semblance, yet witnessing the perfect synchronization, power, capability, and trust between the heroes was beyond what her team and other teams in Beacon Academy could do. It was basically a reality check and inspiration of needing to improve on their skills and teamwork.

As the Grimm realized they were fighting a losing battle, almost all of them escaped from the Avengers. All of the Avengers sent their last attacks before deciding to end the fight. Ant-Man threw his shrinking disk at a Death Stalker, Falcon sent one drone missile at Razorwing, Hawkeye shot an Electricity Dust Arrow at a Beowolf, Black Widow shot two Beringels on their heads, and Captain America threw his shield at a Cenitaur easily. When all of them took a deep breath from the fight before heading to Team CFVY to check on them, Ant-Man crushed the tiny Death Stalker before joining in with them.

"Was that really necessary?" Janet asked, as the tiny Death Stalker would've died one way or another as its state would've been permanent unless a growth disk landed on it.

"What? It was hilarious." Scott defended himself, as he and his team assembled around Team CFVY.

"Are you alright?" Steve asked Coco worriedly.

Coco nodded in confirmation while groaning, "We are now. Thank you for… saving us. We would've died if it weren't for you, your team, and Professor Goodwitch."

"I'm glad you are safe." Steve was relieved that the children managed to survive the Grimm attack. If he and his team had arrived too late, Team CFVY would've been killed by now. He couldn't bear to witness children dying to the Grimm. It strengthened his resolve to accept the deal to become a teacher in Beacon Academy in order to improve the students' skills and survivability in the outside world. "What about the others? Are you alright?"

"We're fine. The Aura is healing us so we should be fully healed within an hour." Yatsuhashi reassured the leader of the Avengers.

"That may be so, but you still need to receive medical attention. There's a slight chance that there is something that Aura couldn't heal properly." Glynda has seen Aura failure during her academy days. There was a schoolmate who was fighting a dangerous Grimm on their third. They were healed within hours, but they still feel a slight pain internally because the Aura failed to heal one part of the body.

"Yes, Professor Goodwitch." Team CFVY said in unison.

Coco walked towards Captain America out of curiosity, "Uhm… Mr-?"

"Rogers. Captain Steve Rogers." Steve introduced himself. "And your names are-?"

"I'm Coco. That's Yatsu, Fox, and Velvet." Coco introduced herself and her beloved team members before asking what's on her mind the whole time. "Captain Rogers. Forgive me for the rude questions, but who are you people?"

Before Steve answered, he stared at Natasha and Sam who are conversing with one another, Clint who is picking the regular arrows he fired in order to use them again, and Scott was thanking the ants before the insects dug back on the underground. He sheathed his shield before turning his attention back to Coco Adel.

"We're the Avengers." Steve introduced his team, though he still isn't sure whether or not it was a good idea to stick with that team name when they practically aren't Avengers anymore back on Earth, but considering it is already set in stone, he couldn't change it. "We are friends of Professor Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch. We're… kind of new."

"Avengers… I think I've heard about you…" Velvet took out her scroll, which has a cracked back meaning that she'll have to buy a new one, and showed the footage of leaked videos from Crystal Town. "I knew it. You saved Crystal Town, didn't you?"

Steve smiled before nodding in confirmation, "We sure did."

"Where did you learn how to fight that?" Yatsuhashi asked curiously, as their skills were beyond this world. He wanted to know where they learned to train in order to improve his swordsmanship.

"A question for later." Steve answered, as he doesn't have time to answer when they need to depart from Forever Fall, otherwise, the Grimm who retreated will probably be back with reinforcements.

"C-Can I take a picture?" Velvet asked kindly and boldly, which made her blush in embarrassment while raising her camera. "I-I'm a p-ph-"

Fox chuckled while patting her head, "She's a photographer. She loves to snap a photo that is interesting… and well…"

"Sure, but after we get back to Beacon Academy." Steve agreed to take a photo. It wouldn't be the first time that someone will take a picture of him, but this scenario is different as it was a genuine request rather than a forceful one like the time he had to take a picture for posters and newspapers for propaganda.

Hawkeye walked towards the pilot's seat after collecting all the regular arrows he could see, "Okay, guys. Let's get out of here. I'm definitely exhausted after that fight."

Scott yawned before entering the Beacon Airship immediately, "You're not the only one. I'm gonna sleep like a baby."

The Ship

On the Ship, Qrow, Amber, and Shang-Chi arrived in a nick of time before it departed. They missed it earlier, so they had to wait for a few hours for the Ship to arrive. The white horse of Amber was stored below with the other mounted animals and vehicles. Qrow took a seat due to exhaustion while Amber and Shang-Chi were on the railways, staring into the night sky and the endless ocean. Qrow closely observed Shang-Chi suspiciously while having a drink with his flask. It was almost running out, so he hopes that the Ship has beverages at night. After a few minutes, he fell asleep due to his drunken state which made Amber chuckle because he still hasn't changed.

"So, are you going to tell me about why that woman wanted your… power?" Shang-Chi asked, which surprised Amber because she almost forgot about that. He doesn't want Amber to answer his question if she isn't comfortable, but he hopes that she does as his curiosity couldn't handle it.

Amber sighed, wondering if it's alright to inform her savior about the secrets of Remnant, "Fine, but promise me that you're not going to tell anyone. It's important for it to remain a secret."

"I can keep a secret. I hide so many secrets." Shang-Chi doesn't know if he is going to tell Amber about his life in return. He could tell that she is going to tell him the most important secret about her powers, so it's unfair if he doesn't share his as well. He's going to have to think about it first before deciding whether or not he should tell her.

After a deep breath, Amber told Shang-Chi everything about Remnant from the birth of the Brother Gods to the Four Maidens and the Relics. He was flummoxed about the crazy behind the scenes of Remnant. He wondered why the existence of Salem was decided to be kept a secret. It will only lead to more fear once her existence is revealed to the public, which will attract numerous Grimm as they attack anyone with negative emotions. It will lead to an all scale war in the future like the Great War again, which he read about a few days ago. He isn't going to question her as she probably doesn't have an answer to it. Anyway, this certainly defeats the secrets he has been sealing away in his heart. He didn't think that there is more to this world than meets its eye. He only thought that the Creatures of Grimm are the only major threats to Remnant like every other ordinary civilian until the truth was revealed.

"So you're basically one of the Four Maidens who are chosen to be the protectors of this world as well as guarding the Four Relics to prevent anyone, especially Salem, from using it." Shang-Chi summarized the conversation while massaging his head from the unbelievable story. There was no wonder why she was different from other humans and faunus in this world. The Maidens are essentially one of the most powerful individuals in the world, but the way Amber used her powers was a bit inexperienced from his perspective, otherwise, she would've obliterated her assailants easily regardless whether she was ambushed or not. "If you're one of the most important people in the world, then why are you traveling alone? Shouldn't have at least backup?"

Amber frowned before staring at the vast ocean, "It's because I'm afraid. There is a lot of responsibility as a Maiden. The people around me would've been in danger if I stayed in one spot, so I ran away from Beacon. I decided to teach myself how to use my special gifts, but it proved to be kind of difficult without a proper teacher. And now, I'm currently heading back to Beacon because I have no choice. I was almost killed by those three, proving that I'm inexperienced. I knew it was a trap, but I was still naïve enough to believe the child was actually real. She would've become… the Fall Maiden… if you didn't help me.

Shang-Chi placed his hand on her shoulders as a comfort, "You weren't naïve, Amber. It just shows how you are willing to save anyone, even if they are an injured child. You just needed to differentiate between reality and illusion using your instincts."

"Thanks, Shaun." Amber was grateful that Shang-Chi doesn't see her naïvety and compassion as distraction, but instead saw it as a gift unlike her classmates who prioritize in defeating the most Grimm instead of aiding their injured members or other team members. She was the only one who aided his schoolmates' injuries from the Grimm attack instead of focusing on the main objective. She was then curious about Shang-Chi's story. "So, what's your story? I told you everything I was told about this world."

After the reconsideration, Shang-Chi decided to tell her about his harsh life since childhood, but first he told her that he came from Earth. He then told her how his father was an infamous warlord, conqueror, and the most dangerous man alive for centuries until he met his mother, which changed him completely. His father decided to settle down as a family man, abandoning his conquest for power and the Ten Rings. The happy family life soon ended when the former enemy of his father killed his mother, which led his father in the path of evil once again and reviving the Ten Rings. He was trained harshly by his father and mentor, Death Dealer, to become the perfect assassin. He was then sent to kill his mother's killer, which he lied that he couldn't go through with as he doesn't want her to see him as a heartless monster.

"That's…" Amber couldn't believe the life that Shang-Chi has been living, but he was in disbelief that he came from Earth and that his father has been alive for more than centuries. She thought that Shang-Chi was messing with her until recalling Qrow saying something about him and the Avengers came from another world earlier. She shrugged the impossibility off to focus on his rough life. "So you were trained as a killer…? What kind of father who trained their child to become a murderer? Your mother wouldn't have agreed with it."

"The kind of father who wanted to grow old with a family. My mother was essentially his whole world. Once she died, he broke down and became the man he once was." Shang-Chi missed the lift they had before his mother's death. It was a perfect family. Those happy memories were now replaced with memories of his harsh training. He could barely remember the time his family acted happy. "Anyway, I told you one of my deep secrets. It isn't something I tell anyone, but… I guess… I decided to share them with you after you told me everything about this… world."

"I'm glad you did, Shaun." Amber was glad that Shang-Chi told her. She now understands why his combat style earlier was brutal and aggressive. She could see the pain in his eyes when he had to fend off her assailants. Shang-Chi didn't want any trouble, but he isn't the type to stand on the sidelines when she was in trouble. "Don't worry, this will be our little secret."

Shang-Chi smiled, "Thanks."

An unknown person then coughed behind them to get their attention, "How are you feeling, you lovebirds?"

Shang-Chi widened his eyes in surprise, "Oh, we aren't lovers."

"Y-Yeah. What makes you say that?" Amber rebuked it as well while her cheeks were reddening. She could hear her heart beating rapidly, trying to control it by placing her hand on the chest. She isn't hiding her flustered expression. "A-Aren't you the captain?"

"I am, indeed. Just deciding to check on the passengers in case they aren't well or are criminals in disguise. There was an issue on the ship a few days ago after all." The Captain answered, recalling the stressful event a few days ago where the Bell Tribe invaded the Ship for loot and one attempted to kidnap one of his members until an archer who calls himself Hawkeye stopped them. "Anyway, I'll be heading back now. Enjoy the view, ma'am, sir."

When the Captain went back to the bridge, Shang-Chi and Amber stared at the ocean's view silently for a couple of minutes. Qrow, who has been pretending to be drunk the whole time, was listening to their conversation the whole time. He had planted a bug on Shang-Chi secretly in order to listen to his life's story. He didn't expect that he'll have a crazy backstory, but he was more bewildered by his father who he claimed has been alive for centuries. It was very similar to Ozpin's immortality where he will transfer to another body once he's killed, a story where neither him nor Ozpin told the Avengers about. He then sent the recorded conversation to Ozpin and Avengers in order to be wary of Shang-Chi. He couldn't believe that the Avengers had fun tonight with rescuing Team CFVY without him after he received a message from Glynda. He then went to sleep after taking a sip of his flask.

Unbeknownst to them, Ilia Amitola was aboard the Ship using her special faunus ability, Camouflaged, to blend in with the environment. She was currently in the lowest deck where the horses and mounted vehicles are. She is unsure whether she'll succeed in killing Hawkeye in order to redeem herself and prevent herself from being executed by Adam, but she keeps encouraging herself to try if she wants to see the glory of White Fang and Blake again. She slept on the rough floor until dawn arrived. She was having a dream about her lovely life with her parents before their death, which was the catalyst in joining the White Fang.

CHAPTER 7 ENDED

Author's Notes:

Whoo! This took me forever to finish! I decided to speed run this chapter before I will lose my interest again. There were also so many ideas in my mind that I have to write it down before it diminishes. This is probably the longest chapter that I've written right now, so I hope you enjoyed it. Anyway, I will be busy in the next couple of days because of school and the fact that I'm going to be working on The Mischievousness of the Shield Hero, so the next chapter will probably be delayed.

[1] The names of the bear faunus, bird faunus, dog faunus, and frog faunus from Chapter 2 are based on Boris the Wolf from Bendy and the Ink Machine and Boris the Animal from Men in Black III, Duolingo which is an educational technology company which produces apps for language-learning and provides language certification, Donut the Dog who was a Minecraft YouTuber and member of the defunct Little Club, and Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.

[2] A reference to Season 2, Episode 13 of The Flash where Cisco Ramon / Vibe was unable to locate Zoom with his powers because of the different frequency on Earth-2, hence why Scott hasn't been able to summon the ants in the previous chapters because he is unable to until now. It would make sense that Remnant and Earth have different frequencies and atmosphere considering they are not the same world.

[3] A reference in Ant-Man where Hank Pym explained how he could control the ants using the EMP Communication Device to Scott. It basically comes full circle that Scott is the one who explains how he could control the ants to the Avengers and Glynda.

[4] A reference in The Avengers where Iron Man had to place Hawkeye on top of a building in order to overlook the entire city because of his impressive eyesight.

[5] A hilarious reference in Captain America: The Winter Soldier where Black Widow told Sam to stay still in a building, where he was going to be crushed by a falling Helicarrier, in order to find him on the 41st floor. It still makes me laugh to this day.
