*After the giant war in CAMP HALF-BLOOD*
Third Person:
"Percy!" Grover shouted, abruptly bursting into Percy's cabin.
Percy was, as usual, sleeping soundly in his bed. Grover's sudden appearance made him quite angry, and he was now sleepily shaking off his bed covers.
"What the heck, Grover!" He grumbled. "Why did you wake me up so early?"
Grover panted heavily, "This is urgent!". He then frantically attempted to pull Percy out of the room.
"Okay, okay." Percy rubbed his eyes. "Wait a sec."
After a minute, he scrambled out of the door. Grover, who was waiting outside, shouted "To the Great Hall!".
Percy's mind raced. Why was Grover panicking so much? What's awaiting me in the Great Hall?
The Great Hall was filled with demigods, chattering excitedly. Chiron was pensively staring at the walls of the Great Hall.
In the corner, amongst the talking demigods, there was a tall man. He was wearing a simple black shirt and black pants. His eyes were swirling infinitely like the cosmos. Other than that, he seemed to have nothing special. He was just a man tapping his feet impatiently, seeming to be waiting for someone.
When everyone saw Percy though, they suddenly became quiet. Like the eerie quiet in the dead of the night.
"Hey Percy, we're waiting for Chaos," Annabeth said casually. Thalia nodded in agreement.
The man walked up to Percy, turned around, and looked directly at Annabeth. "Excuse me," he said, staring directly into Annabeth's eyes, "I am Chaos."
Annabeth froze. Then, after a few seconds of pure silence, Thalia repeated, "You are Chaos? The father of the primordials?"
"Indeed."
"Sorry, but who is Chaos?" Percy wondered aloud.
The man turned to Percy. "I am the embodiment of Chaos, the father of the primordials, the First One."
Percy covered his surprise by bowing deeply. Everyone followed. "Chaos, we are honored to meet you."
Chaos shrugged nervously, "So, let's get to the point, shall we? I must sadly say, we are again in a terrible war. An even more dangerous one than before. The thing is, you must help. "
"Another battle?" Everyone whispered nervously.
Chaos spoke. "Yes, another battle. A battle concerning many more powerful entities. Different entities."
"Is there already a prophecy for it?" Annabeth asked.
"No, not yet. Anyway, Percy, I must say, I am not here just to warn you. I will make you stronger. More powerful. More prepared. Only this way will you be able to defeat the new challenges awaiting you."
Everyone gasped. Percy bowed deeply once again. "I am honored to accept your power."
Chaos continued, "I must give you some of my powers first. You need it... and you deserve it."
He held out his palm. Before anyone could even react, a small of dark purple light shot out of Chaos' palm, slowly expanded, and engulfed Percy. The energy slowly swirled around him for a few seconds, then evaporated.
"Did it work?" Percy asked.
"Yes, you have my powers now, although to a small extent."
Chiron encouraged, "Try your powers out, Percy."
Chaos immediately tensed up. "Do not test it here."
Annabeth cut in. "Could you quickly give us some information about the battle?"
"You see... This is a battle involving three primordials, the titans, and a foreign power." Chaos sighed. "As you know already, primordials are incredibly powerful entities."
"We barely even defeated one primordial... How are we supposed to defeat three?" a camper questioned.
He gave him a sharp look. "Do not underestimate my powers. Percy is incredibly powerful now. However, to master his powers, he will train with me for a while. Now, shall I train you?"
"Yes, definitely. How long will it take though?"
"About a week..." But seeing his expression, he quickly added, "On the Earth, eight minutes."
"Can I see my friends often? What does 'on the earth' mean?"
"Of course. And by that, I mean that we will be training in a different place."
"Where?"
"Follow me."
