Percy's POV:
After a dangerous class of flying, we had detention with Pink Toad, which was really fun, actually (at the end of course).
We started with Harry writing "I will not tell lies" and Thalia, Jason, and I writing "I will not attack a teacher". However, the weird thing was that there was no ink for the quills that Umbridge gave us, we just had to use the quill on parchment. Harry remarked that it had "a rather sharp point". We found out that once we tried it that it would carve words into our hand we were writing with. It was kind of painful, but nothing really, compared to the pain us demigods felt before. Oh, did I forget to mention? The other demigods were hidden outside of the door just in case.
I looked over at Harry. He seemed in pain, too, so I decided to relieve all of us a bit. I whispered, "Healing Rod, turn invisible and heal our hands quickly."
The Healing Rod obeyed my commands. It first came over to Harry, healing him whenever he wrote another sentence. He looked at his hands in wonder and whispered to us, "Is it you guys that are healing me?"
We nodded our heads, then shook them. "Technically, it's one of the tools I have that is healing you, so it's not exactly me healing you."
"Healing Rod, zoom around the classroom and heal all of us whenever we write another sentence." That was when the exciting stuff started.
Pink Toad suddenly looked up and said sweetly, "Why aren't all of you writing?"
"Well, we are, but for some reason, the words just disappear after we write them."
Pink Toad took our quills and inspected them. "You didn't swap out my quills, that's for sure. The quills look the same." She seemed to think of something and tapped her wand over the quills. Nothing happened. "Well, you didn't transform your quills to look like my quills, then." She muttered to herself. Then she gave us new quills that were the same as the ones before, but while she did that, she accidentally touched the Healing Rod while it was healing.
"Hmm... What is this? An invisible thing?" She reached for the spot where she touched it, hoping to grab the rod, but the Rod zoomed away just in time. Unfortunately, she heard the sound of the Rod zooming through the air and followed it, running at top speed.
We decided to slow her down while having some fun and made the Rod zoom circles instead of stopping to healing us. Then, I opened up countless pits and rocks at her feet. Then I shot at her a few bolts of black lightning and made a tiny waterfall on top of her head with Pontus powers. Then Jason made air push her up and in the opposite direction that the Healing Rod was flying.
Not surprisingly, a few seconds after we did this, she was not able to pursue the Healing Rod anymore and I ordered it to come back to my pocket.
She looked back at us, furious, and we tried to look as innocent as possible. Meanwhile, Harry and the demigods outside the door were laughing silently. She didn't see any wands pulled out, and therefore didn't suspect anything.
I broke the silence. "Well, it looks like someone is angry at you," I said while laughing.
"Go! Go!" She shouted, "Time is up and all of you will not have detention again!"
We were all filled with glee as we filed out of the classroom quickly, hoping Pink Toad wouldn't change her mind again.
