The Many Kids of Danny Fenton

Chapter 6: Peter and Madge

In The Ghost Zone

Clockwork and Flower Princess11 had just finished watching Tabitha Fenton receive a very special phone call from Harvey's son and the match maker looked pleased.

"Aw, young love..."She said, clasping her hands together.

Clockwork saw this and chuckled.

"Don't tell me that you plan on meddling with Tabitha's love life too?..."Clockwork said.

The matchmaker shrugged innocently.

"Maybe I will, and maybe I won't. But either way, I have a strong feeling for those two and I am usually right with my hunches..."FP11 said.

Clockwork nodded.

While he is no expert in mortal courting, he too had a good feeling about that particular pair in that particular timeline. He also had a good feeling that so far, things will work out in the end.

The time master smiled as he changed into his child form and turned to his guest.

"Anyway, all seems to be in order here..."Clockwork said before closing the widow to that timeline.

"Still wish to know what their second kid will be like..." FP11 said.

"As I said, I can only show one day per pairing. You'll just have to find out the old fashioned way..." Clockwork said with a smirk.

FP11 heard this and sighed.

"Fine, I can wait. So, who is next?..."FP11 asked.

Clockwork waved his staff.

"I do believe that young Peter and Madeline are next..."Clockwork said as he prepared to open another window, to another timeline.

One where the Danny of that world chose Kitty Pryde as his perfect match and that choice led an interesting life, full of uncanny adventures, from fighting alongside Ben Tennyson in the War of the Worlds, to joining the Avengers and fighting along side them to protect the Earth from numerous threats.

Flower Princess11 saw this and looked very excited.

"Ah, I was curious on that one…" FP11 said with a big smile.

"You wouldn't be the first..." Clockwork said with a knowing smile on his face..."Anyway, your curiosity will be sated..."He said.

"Awesome!..." FP11 said.

However, before he used his time staff to open the new time window, the time master sensed someone enter his domain. He smiled, as it was someone who he was already familiar with.

"But first, it looks like we have company..."Clockwork said, in a tone that suggests that he expected this.

FP11 turned around and smiled when she saw an old friend of hers.

"Hey 61394..."FP11 said as she greeted her friend.

"Hey boss..."61394 said, smiling towards her with a smile.

This person is 61394, known to others and Deadpool as "Number Boy", a member of the dating service and a supporter of Danny and Kitty's relationship, among a few others but we will get back to that later.

"Hey FP11. Hey Clockwork..."Number Boy said.

"So, what brings you here?..."Clockwork asked... "Again..."He muttered the last part.

Number Boy sent him a look.

"Don't you already know?..."61394 asked.

"I do, but like I told Flower Princess11, I do enjoy conversation..."The time master said with a shrug.

"Well, I was worried about how Nibiru would affect Danny's life but then I noticed that you were looking at the timelines again and I got curious..." 61394 admitted.

"Ah, I see. You got bored again..."Flower Princess said with a knowing look on her face.

Number Boy flinched upon hearing that.

"Well...I...that's hardly...um.."He stammered, before he sighed..."Yes, that's true. I've been jumping around between places such as Kumo and Hogwarts. Hey, certain events need to be finished up..." 61394 admitted.

FP11 sent a look, before sending an easy going smile.

"Hey, don't worry. We get it..."FP11 said and Clockwork nodded.

"It gets boring for me too. Watching over the timeline can be tedious without some form of entertainment..."The Time Master said.

"Hey, all work and no play makes the world a boring place..." 61394 said in agreement.

"Exactly. So, yes. It's okay to take a break every once in a while..."Clockwork said..."In fact, I sometimes look at other timelines out of curiosity, in addition to timelines outside of this little multiverse..." Clockwork said.

"Really?..." FP11 asked and Clockwork nodded.

"There are many..."The ghost said.

"Such as?..." FP11 asked with interest.

However, Clockwork shook his head.

"Sorry... spoilers..." Clockwork said.

FP11 heard this and pouted.

"Party pooper…"She muttered.

"Sorry, but there are many timelines, even those you aren't aware of, that I cannot share with you. Let us focus on this one at least for now..."The Time Master said.

Number boy sent a smile at that.

"Well, I suppose a few minutes of seeing my favorite pairing wouldn't hurt. As long as you and the boss don't mind me hanging around..."61394 said.

Flower Princess11 nodded.

"Cool with me, what about you CW?..."FP11 asked.

The Time Master nodded.

"Sure, why not?..."Clockwork said... "You're always good for a laugh, 61394..."He added.

Number Boy heard this and smiled.

"Sweet!..."He said.

Just then, Clockwork's time staff glowed as it showed a new time window opening, and in it, older versions of young Peter Charles and Madeline Ororo, along with their younger brother, a boy named Logan Tucker Fenton who looks so much like his father, but with his mother's nose and smile.

61394 smiled while Flower Princess11 looked fascinated.

"Ah, so they have another kid..." FP11 said.

"Indeed..." Clockwork said before he smiled as he changed into his elderly form.

"Shall we?..."The Time Master asked, even if he already knew the answer.

"Yes!..." 61394 went.

"Sure, this might be interesting..." FP11 said.

"I agree, boss..."61394 said with a smile.

The ghost of time grinned as he held onto his time staff.

"Now, let us see how they are right now..."CW said as he prepared his time staff.

"This is gonna be good..."FP11 said as 61394 leapt back, sitting cross legged in a chair

"Oh yeah, this will be fun...61394 said, practically bounding in his seat, pulling out a bucket of popcorn.

"Uh… where'd those chairs come from?..." FP11 questioned.

"I made them appear. Anyway…" Clockwork said as he readied the screen..

FP11 took a seat as well as the show began, taking some popcorn from 61394 as well.

"Time in!..."Clockwork said as he pressed the button and soon they witness a day from of the life of the Fenton family.

In Amity Park

It was a typical morning in the town known as Amity Park. The sun was shining and many people were busy going on with their average, day to day life. Also, many people are going to either work or school, depending on who you ask.

In one particular household, a group of siblings were during the latter.

These siblings are Peter Charles Fenton, Madeline Ororo Fenton and the youngest addition, Logan Tucker Fenton. The children of world famous hero Danny Phantom and his wife and high school sweetheart, Katherine Pryde-Fenton, otherwise known as Kitty.

The eldest, a 15 year old boy named Peter was helping himself to a kosher breakfast and right now was taking some turkey bacon, piling it high on his plate.

"Yum..."Peter said hungrily.

He had to eat as much as he could before a couple of little thieves came and snatched the food off of his plate.

Again.

Peter looked around and saw no sign of any trouble. Once clear, he calmed down and he smiled.

"Time to dig in..."He said.

However, as Peter took his seat and was about to dig in, a 13 year old girl literally appeared out of no where, right in front of him.

"Thanks bro..." Madge said snatching a piece of bacon from his plate.

"HEY!..."Peter yelled as the 13 year old grinned with her stolen bacon halfway out of her mouth like a second tongue.

"MADGE!..."Peter yelled as he watched her swallowed the rest of the food.

"Delicious..."She said with a smug look.

Peter turned to glare at his sister. She would always snatch the food off his plate since she was little and even worse, she taught Logan how to do it.

It was always a big pain, every single morning.

"Wait, where is Logan?..."Peter thought as he realized that he didn't see him yet.

That is when a smaller hand reached up, grabbing more of his food.

"Hey!..."Peter yelled but it was too late.

"Thanks Peter..." Logan said as he swiped a waffle from his plate.

Peter tried to grab the youngest member of their family but he rushed away using their dad's speed to his end of the table, the waffle already stuffed in his mouth and swallowed, in under 10 seconds.

Peter frowned in annoyance.

"Bottomless pit..." Peter thought, watching him gulp it all down.

"Delicious!..." Logan went.

Peter shook his head

"You know that there's plenty of food NOT on my plate, right?..." Peter said to his brother and sister who both just shrugged.

"Yours is better..." They said.

Peter rolled his eyes at that response.

"Crazy kids..."He muttered under his breath as his siblings just grinned.

"I bed Dad didn't have this problem with Aunt Danielle…and she has GRANDPA JACK'S appetite!..."He thought, annoyed.

Soon enough, the three Fenton kids were joined by their parents. Danny and Kitty Fenton, who were both dressed for work.

"So, anyone hungry?..."Kitty asked.

Madge heard this and sent a smirk to her annoyed older brother.

"You know, I am in the mood for some more bacon..."Madge said mischievously.

Logan laughed.

"Me too..."Logan said.

Peter heard this and groaned in annoyance.

"Mom! Dad! Make them stop!..."Peter said as he guarded his food from his brother and sister.

Kitty saw the look on her oldest face as he held his arms protectively around his plate while she also saw the mischievous looks on her youngest faces and realized what mist have happened again.

"I take it the breakfast thieves struck again..."Kitty guessed, resisting the urge to laugh.

"When don't they?..." Peter said sarcastically.

"You both know there's plenty of food, whether or not it came from your brother's plate shouldn't even matter…"Danny said.

Madge nodded, though Logan didn't listen. Peter saw that look on his face and frowned.

"It's almost like his mutant power is actually his endless appetite..."Peter thought annoyed, as he looked to his food and then looked to his family.

Just then, a little hand phased up out of the table, reaching for Peters food. The 15 year old boy saw it coming this time, so Peter's eyes glow green (or well greener).

"Knock it off!..."Peter yelled as he zapped a low level energy blast from his eyes, just barely missing his little brother.

"Peter!..."Logan whined as he held his hand close while his older brother sent him a mocking look.

"I'm sorry Logan, was that you? I thought it was a pest..." Peter quipped.

Danny scolded his oldest son for his stunt. Sure, it was a warning shot but still, Danny always told his kids not to use their powers at the table or against each other.

"Peter, that wasn't nice..." Danny said sternly as Logan sent him a smug look, which he lost when his father turned to him..."And you, little man, stop stealing your brother's food..." Danny told Logan.

"Okay, dad…"The little boy said, looking down.

Meanwhile Madge, getting a little payback for her baby brother, shot a blue blast at Peter's fork as he took a bite of bacon, freezing it instantly.

As soon as he took a bite, he spat it out.

"COLD!..." He called out while Madge and Logan laughed.

"Gotcha!..." She went as she and Logan laughed louder.

Annoyed, Peter zapped Madge's forked, shooting a waffle off and into her lap.

She was not amused.

"Peter!..." Madge yelled

Peter grinned.

This would have escalated further. However, they forgot they were in the presence of their mother and father who did NOT look amused, to say the least.

Especially Kitty.

"That's enough!..."Kitty said strictly to her children.

They immediately stopped at the sound of her tone but Peter still complained.

"But mom!..." Peter said.

"He started it!..." Madge and Logan went.

"No, you started it!..." Peter shouted.

The kids began to argue again, only for their parents to break them up.

"I don't care who started it, none of you are allowed to do that!..." Kitty shouted.

"I'm just trying to eat my breakfast!..." Peter shouted.

"And you used your powers in the house..." Kitty reminded him.

"Mom!..." He said.

"Peter, calm down! And you two, stop using your powers at the table. We only do that when a villain attacks..."Danny said strictly to his kids.

The children heard this and looked down.

"Yes, Dad..." The three of them said.

"Now apologize..."He ordered.

"Yes, Dad…" They all said again.

"You two first..." Danny ordered as he pointed to his daughter and youngest son.

"Sorry, Peter..."Madge said.

"Yeah, sorry..." Logan said looking down at his shoes.

Peter heard this, sighed and sent them a small smile.

"It's okay, guys..." Peter said.

As annoying as they can be, he can't stay mad at them forever. Soon, their father turned to Peter, with an expecting look.

"Peter?..." Danny went.

Peter sighed, as he knew that he might have gone too far, so he had to own up.

"Sorry, you guys. I should not use my powers against family..."Peter said apologetically..."Even when they are being pests..."He muttered the last part silently, but flinched at the look his dad was sending him.

Thankfully, his siblings just chuckled.

"It's okay... we shouldn't steal your food..." Logan said... "Even if it's funny..."He silently added and Madge giggled at that.

Peter shook his head before messing up his brothers messy hair.

"Hey..."Logan said with a chuckle.

"My revenge..." Peter said..."So, are we cool?..."He asked his siblings.

Madge was the first to answer.

"We're cool..."She said, smiling.

"Yeah..."Logan agreed, fist bumping with his brother.

Their parents saw this and were happy that the quarrel was over.

Danny shook his head, though a smile did crack on his face. He loved his kids and he knew they loved each other very much, even if half the time they drove each other crazy, just like Danny and his sisters did back in the day.

"Kids..."Danny thought while his wife served some more food for Peter, since his siblings took quite a bit.

"Here you go..."Kitty said kindly.

"Thanks, mom..."Peter said before he dug in.

Soon, the family began talking and eating breakfast together, now that the "breakfast thieves" calmed down and the Fenton kids were no longer blasting at each other, so that is a good thing...at least until the next meal but they'll worry about that later.

"Can I have some more bacon?..." Peter asked with an empty plate.

It was no secret that he had a big appetite, like certain members of the family. Thankfully, his training helped him burn off the calories.

"Did you finish your homework last night?..." Kitty answered back with the bacon.

"Yes..."Peter said, nodding his head.

Kitty smiled upon hearing this.

"Good..."The mother said as she gave him a few more slices.

Once Peter had his food, Kitty looked over to Madge.

"So Madge, did you finish your book report?..."The mother asked and her daughter nodded.

"Yeah mom, Moby Dick is all ready in my backpack..." Madge said and Kitty smiled upon hearing that.

"How long did it take you to read it?..." Danny asked.

"I don't know. A couple of hours, I wasn't really paying attention..."Madge shrugged nonchalantly.

Her brothers just sent her a disbelieving look.

"That book is like, 600 pages long! How'd you read it so fast?..." Peter asked while Madge shrugged

"It's only 585, not counting the front or back, nor pages that only have one paragraph..." She said, as if it is no big deal.

Peter rose one eyebrow and shook his head at that.

Ever since Madge learned how to read, she was almost always with a book in her had. To the point that she has read nearly every book at the institute's library so far, along with most of the books at the public library too.

She really did enjoy reading.

"Bookworm..." Logan said before Madge sent him a look.

"You say that like it's a bad thing..." She said before she poked her brother in his ticklish spot, getting a giggle out of him before he phased away from his sister.

"No fair..."Logan said.

"You started it..."Madge said.

"Kids…" Danny warned.

"No powers at the table, Logan..." Kitty reminded her youngest child.

"Sorry, mom..."Logan said before sticking his tongue out at his sister.

Madge did the same when she thought her parents and brother weren't looking.

"Don't think we're not looking, you two..." Danny warned, causing them to flinch.

"Sorry..." They both went.

Peter and Danny looked at the two with smiles on their faces.

"Nice one, Dad..."Peter whispered.

"No problem, but don't think we play favorites..."Danny said before eating another waffle and taking a sip of his coffee.

"Yes, sir..."The boy said.

Peter just smiled at his little siblings before he continued eating.

"So Dad, who was on the phone earlier?..." Peter asked before getting excited..."Is it Avenger stuff?..."He asked.

It was no secret that Danny has been a member of the Avengers for many years, since he was 15 years old himself. He mostly stuck in Amity Park, unless it was an all hands on deck kind of mission or they had to go protect the earth from some big threat.

Peter didn't deny being an Avenger sounded cool and would like to join when he's old enough.

Danny took a sip of his coffee before answering his eldest son.

"It's nothing too big, your Uncle Henry just needs some help with something, that's all..." Danny said with a shrug.

Meanwhile, Kitty cleared her plate before looking to the clock.

"Oh my, you three better go upstairs and get ready, we have to get to the institute in 20 minutes..." She told her three kids.

"Okay, mom..."Peter said as he helped herd the kids upstairs to get their school things.

Once upstairs, Danny and Kitty shared a laugh.

"Kids..."Kitty said as she helped clear the table.

"I know what you mean..."Danny said before drinking the last of his coffee, remembering of similar mornings he had with his sisters growing up.

"Kinda makes me wish I had siblings growing up..." Kitty said with a smile and Danny chuckled at that.

"Well, as I recall, Jubilee was a little firecracker back in the day. Especially after she befriended Dani..." Danny said to his wife.

Kitty laughed.

"Yeah, you got that right. Those two were always up to something back then..."Kitty said, recalling all of the chaos those two caused when they were growing up.

"I was just happy to see her making friends… but I sometimes wish it was someone less destructive…" Danny said.

"I know what you mean. Remember the time that those two dented my car..."Kitty said with a chuckle.

At the time, she was mad but now, it was pretty funny in hindsight given HOW it happened.

"I remember Jubilee being unable to stop laughing..." Danny said..."She sure has changed..."He said as he knew that she was A LOT less wild now.

"She really matured after adopting Shogo..."She said.

"Maybe not too much, considering she taught Shogo how to make those shakes that I taught Danielle..." Danny said with a chuckle.

"Shakes you STILL drink.."Kitty said with a smirk.

"They're delicious!..."Danny laughed.

So did Kitty.

Once done , she inched closer and once she was sure that no one was around to eavesdrop, she asked her husband something that has been on her mind all morning.

"So, any news on Walker?..."Kitty asked, now that their kids were not here.

Danny shook his head.

"Henry got a tip saying that he was spotted by the docks..."Danny said..."In one of the Fruit Loops old factories..."

"Figures..."Kitty muttered with an eye roll.

Ever since he was removed as warden by the Observants due to abusing his power, they gave the job to the most surprising candidate, Wulf, who enjoyed his first job of locking him up very, very, VERY much.

Unfortunately, he broke out a few months ago and there had been no signs of him since until Henry's tip came along.

"It's been too long and I'm in the market for payback…" Danny said.

He was looking forward to handing Walker over to Wulf when he caught the creep.

"I guess when you're framed for attacking the mayor, no matter how much of an attention hog he is, you'd want payback..." Kitty said.

"Indeed, I do..."He said.

"You sure you will be alright?..."Kitty asked.

"We'll be fine. Me and Henry have handled Walker before. Besides, Sam will be watching our backs..." Danny promised ..."Plus, I think she's been itching for a reason to put on the old leather again..."Danny said.

Kitty smiled at that.

She understood the nostalgia. She still had her Shadow Cat costume but is mostly retired since she gave birth to Logan. Between working as a teacher, training young mutants to reach their full potential and raising three kids, she didn't have as much time for stopping crooks as she used to. She mostly only donned it when she was truly needed since she's a semi-retired superhero.

Although she won't deny that she misses the thrill of punching out bad guys and helping people out with her special abilities.

"The news will be happy to see Blackthorn back in action..." Kitty said as she thought about the last time.

"I'm still not surprised Sam chose THAT as her alias…" Danny remarked as he got up... "A combination of her love for all things Goth and plants. I guess Sam hasn't changed that much either..." He thought in amusement.

Sam had largely retired from being Blackthorn after she had her first son, Christopher Morgan Jr, or CJ for short. She mostly wanted to focus on raising him and helping promoting mutant rights all over the country. However, when there was a big enough threat, Sam would put her costume on and come help Danny or Henry.

Like today.

Danny was all set and ready to go as Kitty hugged him.

"Just be careful. Okay, Danny..." Kitty said as she kept hugging her husband

Danny smiled at her as he hugged her back.

"I promise that I will come back..."Danny said before he kissed his wife on the cheek.

He wasn't worried. He had good reason to come back home.

FOUR good reasons, to be more precise.

Upstairs

The Fenton siblings were all rushing to gather their things in order to get to school. Since Madge was the most organized of the siblings, she merely went to her room and came out with her backpack, while her brothers were scrambling to get their things ready.

"Boys…" She muttered with an eye roll.

"Come on! Come on! Where is it?..." Peter said, looking around for his math book.

"Did you check under the bed?..." Madge suggested, not even looking at him.

"Why there?..."Peter asked.

"Stuff always ends up under your bed..." Madge snarked as she leaned against his door... "It's gross..."

Peter decided to go for it. The teenage boy phased under his bed and found what he was looking for.

"Ah ha!..." He said, finding it besides a Fenton Thermos.

He grabbed both of them. He had them in his hand, while his sister and brother sent him a strange look.

"Better safe than sorry, right?..." He asked.

"That's what Grandma Maddie would say..." Logan reminded them as he went back to looking for his own stuff.

Meanwhile, Peter looked at the thermos strangely.

"Why'd I put this under here again?..." Peter asked, looking at the thermos.

"I AM THE BOX GHOST!..." Came from the thermos, making Peter roll his eyes.

"Oh right, you..." Peter said in annoyance.

He had caught the Box Ghost last night with dad on patrol and decided it was best to bury the thermos somewhere instead of sending the spook back. He would just crawl out and annoy them again.

The idea was even back by his father and for good reason.

The guy just got more annoying by the day.

"RELEASE ME SO THAT YOU MAY FEEL MY WRATH!..." The Box Ghost went with his usual hammy tone before dropping it... "Also, I'm getting a cramp..."

Peter rolled his eyes at that.

"I'll let you out when I get home..."He said before tossing the thermos under the bed again.

"DO YOU WISH TO HAVE IT RAINING CARDBOARD OF WRATH UPON YOU?!..." The Box Ghost went.

"Oh, shut up..." Peter ordered as he pinched his nose as he tried to filter out the annoying ghost's belly-aching.

"No one orders The Box Ghost around!..."He shouted.

"Then I'm not letting you out..." Peter replied nonchalantly.

"YOU CANNOT TRAP THE BOX GHOST FOR LONG! I SHALL BE FREE AGAIN!..." The Box Ghost shouted.

Peter rolled his eyes at that.

"What a loser..."He muttered as he went back to getting ready for school.

Meanwhile, Kitty's voice reacted their room.

"Everyone ready?!..."She asked from downstairs.

"I am..."Madge said pridefully, while her brother's still scrambled.

"Mom, have you seen my lunchbox?..."Logan called.

"It's on your nightstand! I put it earlier where you can spot it!..."Kitty's voice called.

Logan found it, just as his mother said.

"Thanks!..."He said gratefully.

"You'd think you'd have noticed it sooner…" Peter said.

"I guess… but there's so much stuff around..." Logan said as he pointed to his somewhat messy room.

Madge rolled her eyes at their early morning sloppiness.

"You two should really clean up your rooms and organize better..."Madge said.

Both boys shrugged.

"I'll do it eventually..." Peter said

"What Peter said..."Logan said.

Their sister just groaned, having heard that a million times before.

"Is it too late to ask Mom and Dad for a sister?..." Madge asked.

"I don't think it works like that…" Peter said.

Their mother called again, sounding impatient.

"Let's go you guys! I want to get to the school before the paparazzi swarms the streets..."Kitty called from downstairs.

Due to privacy laws passed several years ago, those vultures couldn't get too close to the homes of heroes with public identities and had to leave their children alone as well.

Some, unfortunately, chose to find ways around those laws.

"Let's go, you guys! I have a class to teach and papers to grade!..." Kitty called down

"Coming mom..."Peter called.

"Coming mom..."Madge mimicked.

"Coming mom..."Logan shouted as he and his siblings all went downstairs.

The kids raced downstairs and out the door to the car as they bid farewell to their father.

"See ya dad..."Peter said.

"Bye daddy..."Madge said sweetly before the female quarter ghost girl kissed her dad on the cheek.

Danny saw his youngest son and the two shared a high five.

"Later, dad…" Logan said quickly.

"Bye kids!..." Danny said as they rushed outside.

Danny chuckled before kissing his wife's cheek.

"See you soon, Hon..."He said lovingly.

"Be safe out there, my love..."She said before sharing a kiss with her husband.

"Always am..." He responded.

Once done, her husband changed forms and took off.

"So easy for him to change, while I have to take 10 minutes at least. Still not fair..."Kitty said before walking out

Outside

Danny had just left via flying to go meet up with his partners, while the Fenton siblings all got in their mother's SUV.

"Make way..."Logan said.

"Hurry up you guys..."Madge said as she got into her moms SUV.

"Shot gun..."Peter said as he went to the passenger seat just as their mother arrived to the car.

As she was getting into her seat, she was asked a question.

"All set?..."She asked.

"Yep..."Peter said and his siblings agreed.

Kitty smiled.

"Good..."She said as she pulled out her keys.

"Mom, why can't we just fly to school?..."Logan asked as he put his seat belt on.

"Because I don't want the paparazzi trying to swarm you three..."Kitty said... "Especially with Logan..."She added.

Logan pouted upon hearing that.

Being the youngest of the family, Logan didn't like being treated like a baby. He wanted to prove that he was just as tough as his brother and sister.

"I'm not scared of the paparazzi. I'm way tougher then them!..." Logan said, crossing his arms to look tough

Kitty looked back at the three in the rear view mirror and sighed.

"It's not about fighting, they're not bad guys...sort of...they're just people with no comprehension of personal space who want to take pictures..."Kitty said, looking a little unsure herself.

A downside to having a husband who's a hero with a public identity are the camera's that follow. It wasn't that the woman wasn't used to them now, but that didn't mean that she was wasn't sick of them either. Kitty was just glad that she and Danny had a nice honeymoon without having to mention their wedding, though things got annoying after they came back and even more after she got pregnant with Peter and almost decked one of them for asking one too many personal questions.

Sure, she believed what she just said about the paparazzi, but she did not want to give any any ammunition to the mutant haters in the world, since there are STILL parts of the world that are still shaky with human-mutant relationships.

Sure, things were MUCH better then when she was a kid and there were no Sentinels going after her babies but all it takes is one bad mutant in the news or a mutant hater with enough charisma and connections to bring back the nightmares of the past like Stryker or the MRD. Thankfully, her husband and many supporting allies have plenty of charisma and connections themselves to counter them.

"Besides, I think that they are even more eager because of Dad and Aunt Sam's newest mutant rights event..."Kitty explained.

"Which is what again?..."Madge asked, curious.

"Some kind of charity carnival at the pier. All the money is suppose to go to mutant rights..." Peter said for her sister..."I think Uncle Virgil and Aunt Kara will be coming from Dakota for it..."He added.

'You're right. You're dad managed to get them to come, as they will be some of the VERY special guest supporters there..."Kitty said.

Not that it was too hard, even with the 'rivalry' between the Justice League and the Avengers, but Danny and Kara had been friends since they met that summer all those years ago and it didn't take long for them to become friends with Virgil/Static either.

Besides, while there was nothing like the X-Gene on Krypton, the Kryptonians were a pretty progressive society before their planet was destroyed and Kara's husband, Virgil Hawkins, was no stranger to persecution as a meta human created during Dakota's Big Bang. In other words, they hated bigots and were more than happy to help out the cause to protect mutant rights, even if, technically and legally speaking, they weren't mutants in the eyes of society.

Alien and meta-human, yes but not mutant.

"That means Jean might be there..." Madge said, knowingly elbowing her oldest brother.

Peter looked at Madge weirdly

"Uh yeah, I think she's coming..." Peter said unsurely.

Madge saw this and rolled her eyes.

Jean Alura Hawkins is an old friend of theirs and she is the daughter of Super Girl and Static Shock, though only a few people knew about that. Even fewer knew that Jean was Dakota's newest protector called Shockwave. Peter had known Jean for years, from all of the play dates they had together over the years and they, along with their other friends, were as thick as thieves.

Peter would say that one of his best friend's was Jean. She was cool, funny and was the toughest girl he's ever met. She's awesome, it just stunk that she lived all the way in Dakota.

From her place behind the wheel, Kitty looked over to Peter.

"It will be nice to see her again, won't it?..."Kitty said with a smirk, one that her son did not notice.

"Yeah, it'll be cool to see Jean again..." Peter said with a smile... "I've got a new move that's sure to beat her next time we spar..."He said.

"Is that the only reason you want to see Jean?..."Kitty said in a meaningful way.

Unfortunately, it went over her son's head and she just shrugged casually.

"Uh, no. We'll hang out too..."He said in an oblivious tone.

Behind them, Madge shook her head

"Clueless..."She muttered and Peter raised a brow at this.

"What was that supposed to mean?..."He asked.

Peter looked back to Madge's usual partner in crime but this time Logan looked just as confused as Peter was. He merely shrugged.

His mom and sister giggled.

"Boys..."Madge muttered.

Logan decided to change the subject to something that actually interested him.

"Aunt Sam's parties are always fun..." Logan said, hungrily thinking about all the greasy, sugary carnival food he could eat there.

Kitty laughed.

Out of all of the next generation of Fentons, Logan definitely had inherited his grandfather's and Dani's appetite

"Yeah they are. Now then, time for class, all of you. I can't leave all the work to Rachel.." Kitty said.

Peter heard that name and smiled.

"Yeah!..." Peter said.

Kitty, Madge and Logan were giving Peter weird looks and he flinched.

"Uh, I mean...it...it would be bad if mom made her do ALL of her work..."He said.

"Oh..." Kitty said knowingly..."Is that the only reason you're thinking about Rachel?..."The mother asked teasingly to her first born.

Peter blushed at that inquisition.

"Uh, no. Only reason..." Peter said, still blushing.

"Yeah, right..."Madge said sarcastically, while Logan made some gagging sounds at that, much to his annoyance.

"Cut it out!..." Peter tried denying a blush on his face as his siblings laughed.

So did their mother, who calmed down first.

"Okay, that's enough of that..."Kitty said as she pulled into the street.

The unique family soon drove off to the Xavier Institute for school.
