The Many Kids of Danny Fenton

Chapter 7: Peter, Madge and Logan Part 1

While Kitty took the kids to school, Danny had met up with Henry and Sam, Dani, Jazz and Tucker.

"Wow, how long had it been since we all had come together to fight a ghost like this?..."Danny thought in a nostalgic way as he thought about the situation.

They met by the pier and now they were getting ready to follow Henry's lead.

"So, what do we got?...'Danny asked.

"Well, my source tells me that Warden Tootight had left Fruitloop's old computer factory and was heading north of there..."Henry said to his brother... "My guess he wants to build up a arsenal before he tries going after you..."He suggested.

"Oh sure, it's always Danny, isn't it bro..." Dani joked, looking to Henry.

Henry rolled his eyes.

It had been a long time since he'd been the supervillain, Mr. Hyde, who outed Danny's identity to the world. He used to be very guilty about that but his wife, his friends and family had made him see that, while even while he was being manipulated, Henry went out of his way to AVOID hurting innocent bystanders, unlike the psycho's they dealt with daily.

"Jealousy doesn't suit you, sister. Always the henchman and never the villain..." Henry quipped

"I was not a henchman..." Dani said

"Yeah, you were..." Danny, Sam and Tucker said.

Dani shook her head, not really embarrassed. She is a grown woman with a husband, kids and mortgage of her own.

"This used to be more fun before you got a sense of humor..." Dani teased.

Henry rolled his eyes at that before getting to serious business.

"Let's split up but first, Fenton Phones on..." Henry said as he and the others placed the devices on.

"So, the plan?...'Tucker asked.

"Simple, we go in and put the hurt on anyone defending our target..."Danny said.

"And then we move in on Walker from all sides..."Mr. Hyde finished.

The others nodded with weapons loaded for those without powers.

Soon the members of Team Phantom split up. Sam and Danny went together Henry while Tucker and Dani went with Jazz.

"Ready, Sis?..." Jazz asked.

"Ready, Sis..." Dani said confidently.

Soon enough, they approached the docks from three sides

"So, I overheard CJ talking to Kate..." Sam said

"Oh, what about?..." Danny asked curiously.

His godson was a good kid and so was his niece. He knew his old friend's kids were trustworthy.

Sam shrugged.

"Apparently the carnival we're putting together. They are really looking forward to going. Including seeing the arrival of Dakota's newest super hero..."Sam said.

"Jean really has done a good job so far..."Danny said, recalling the last news report he saw her on.

"They are also hoping for the chance to try and push her to a certain clueless young friend of their..."Sam said.

"Who?..."Danny asked and Sam sent him a look while they scaled the roof, looking into a warehouse windows.

The gothic woman still had to let out a laugh.

"Seriously Danny, you are thirty nine years old, how are you still this clueless about other people's love life's? Including your own kid?..."Sam quipped.

"Love life?..." Danny asked before he realized who she is talking about..."You mean Peter?..."He asked and Sam nodded.

"Duh..."Sam said.

"Wait… so…" He realizes what's going on. "You mean?..."

"Bingo..."Sam said.

"Darn it, I owe Manny twenty bucks again..."He complained while Sam laughed.

"It's not that funny..."He said while Sam kept laughing.

Eventually, she stopped but still sent him an amused look.

"You seriously didn't know. I mean, your family has a thing for attracting Kryptonians, even the half ones, among other things..."Sam teased.

Danny still couldn't wrap his head around it.

Jean liked Peter?

He could still remember those two playing hide and seek and camping out in the backyard during the summer when they were kids. The idea they'd be anything more than close friends never struck him.

"You were always clueless..." Sam said looking through a window in the warehouse.

Still, no sign of the ghost freak, so they kept talking.

"I'm not always clueless..."Danny said indignantly.

"Of course, you were..." Sam thought, remembering how clueless he was of her own feelings for him.

"If I recall, you yourself had a thing for a certain Kryptonian once, Jean's mother if I recall..."Sam teased again.

At the time, she had been annoyed and kind of jealous but now, it is kind of funny that most of Danny's hero friends from his pre-Avengers days were his past blind dates

Danny shrugged.

"I thought he still had his crush on Rachel..." Danny said, since that was obvious, as obvious as how HE used to be about Paulina before he saw past her pretty face. Thankfully, unlike Paulina, Rachel is a smart, sensible girl and she had a big heart to match.

"Besides, Kara and I went on one date when we were teenagers and while I think the world of her, Kitty was the one who I wanted. Kara and I are ancient history... at least in that regard..." He answered.

He and Kara had worked together at least a few dozen times over the years. She was a friend and he knew she was just as in love with Virgil now as she was when he called for help getting rid of Skulkers Kryptonite battle suit. Sure, she is a great girl and had Kitty not won his heart, he might have picked her back then, but he knew that Kitty is the one for him.

"Who knew? Kara, Kitty, Kim, Gwen, Starfire... you're a super heroine magnet. No doubt, your son is going to be popular with their little girls too..." Sam joked.

"Still... didn't think he'd like anyone but Rachel..."Danny commented.

"While Rachel is a good kid, she is too old for Peter..."Sam pointed out.

"I know and I am sure he'll grow out of it soon enough..."Danny said, not worried.

It was just a crush and Danny knew she wouldn't try to hurt Peter intentionally. Danny just hoped Peter got over his crush before Rachel got herself a boyfriend her own age and Peter's feeling's got hurt. He didn't want that to happen to his boy.

He didn't deserve to get hurt.

"I really hope she doesn't unintentionally break my boy's heart..."Danny said.

"Me too.. I- wait!..."Sam said suddenly.

"What?..."Danny asked, becoming serious.

"I got a lock on him..."Blackthorn said.

"Really?..." Danny asked, looking.

"Yup..."She said.

There was Walker, wearing a black suit and with a scar on his face from the last time he tried to go after Kitty. Danny should really thank Sam for that.

Again...

"I should thank you for helping Kitty that other time… Again..."

"You can buy me that tofu birthday cake next time for CJ..."Sam said with a smirk.

"Uh… sure…" Danny said in an unsure way.

"She still doesn't know he's been eating meat behind her back…" He thought before snapping out of it.

Now is not the time for that, now it's time to capture a rule crazed former warden and throw him back into his cell.

After calling his team, Danny and Sam got ready

"It's payback time...'Danny said with a smirk

And so, their hero work continued.

At the Xavier School

Peter, Madge and Logan all piled out of their moms car in front of the Xavier-Fenton institute for mutant outreach. This school is just as nice as the institute in New York but more modern looking and bigger, as to house more and more young mutants in need of guidance.

Such as Peter, his siblings and all of their friends.

"Made it..."Peter, Kitty, Madge and even Peter all though as they walked into the school, happy to avoid being late.

"Thankfully, no sign of ghosts or anything of the sort..." Kitty said.

"Remember that time Doctor Drakken tried to take over the school?..." Peter said in amusement.

"Or Doctor Animo?..." Madge said.

"Yes... I had hoped we'd just stick to your father's villains..." Kitty said in a groan.

Due to Xavier's school opening a new branch in Amity Park, which Kitty works at, she enrolled her children in the school as soon as their X-gene activated, in addition to the flight, intangibility and other ghost powers that they got from their dad's side of the gene pool. Since their father had powers and was a normal human before them, his kids technically qualify as mutants, at least not the kind affected by the mutagen of those aliens.

The term mutant was a bit stretched these days.

Peter and Madge each had a variation of their mother's density shifting powers. Peter is able to increase the density of his body to make it so tough, it was as strong as diamond, while Madge had mom's powers, as well as something more. No one was exactly sure where it came from but Madge had another power, likely a result of her mother being with a human with a different set of powers.

It baffled their parents but Madge was very smart, a child prodigy. As in, her special power had something to do with her brain and her ability to supercharge it for a few minutes and make her about as smart as Tony Stark, Silas Stone or Michael Holt.

Though even without super charging, she is still a very smart and studious girl.

"Just like her mother..." Danny would say proudly making his wife blush.

She wasn't at the top of class for nothing. In fact, Peter and Logan were forbidden by their parents to try and get Madge to look at their homework when she was in supercharge mode since they considered that an unfair advantage.

Madge was too mature to even consider the notion.

Logan, being the youngest didn't have an active X-Gene yet and he was excited to see what kind of "special power" that he would get along with his ghost powers. However, since his mother works as a teacher here, he was still enrolled and had a place to practice his latent ghost powers.

Some think he doesn't have the X-Gene, a rare example of a mutant's child not gaining it. Even so, Kitty loves her youngest son like all the rest.

Another thing, unlike most of the students here, Peter and Madge don't board due to living close by. But they still have to attend classes on time, just like the other students and they did not get any special treatment due to their father and grandparents having donated and helped make the school in the first place.

Some of the kids who didn't like them thought that the Pryde-Fentons got special treatment, because their mom was a teacher and their dad was a famous hero who helped build this school and Professor Xavier was pretty much the honorary grandfather of the kids. However here, Professor X and the other teachers treated them no different than the other students. Heck, if anything, they were expected to work even harder due to a legacy to uphold. As long as they'd known him which was their whole lives, their dad never accepted any kind of special treatment even if it would make his life easier like when a jewelry store had offered to give Danny their mom's engagement ring for free. Danny refused and paid full price for the ring.

Madge thought it was romantic, Logan was too young to start liking girls yet and Peter...he was just hoping when the time came where he got down on one knee for the girl of his dreams that she wouldn't say no

Anyway, Logan took notice of someone as he got out.

"There's Shogo..." Logan said seeing his best friend waiting by the steps.

"Alright, have a good day, sweetie..."Kitty said to her youngest child.

"Okay, bye-bye, Mom..."Logan waved goodbye to his mom and siblings before running off towards his class.

"Bye Logan..." Peter and Madge called.

As they got out, Kitty sighed with relief they were on time... at least this time.

"Alright kids, I'll see you at the danger room later for intense training. Be good and have a nice day..."Kitty said before she waved to her kids before heading to her first class.

Peter and Madge waved goodbye to their mom

"Better hurry, before one of us gets detention… again..." Madge said.

Peter groaned

"I told you... not my fault that was the day Freakshow teamed up with that golf guy Donna's parents deal with, or that mad scientist with the green skin Ben Tennyson deals with..."He said.

"Just be careful, okay, Big Brother?..." Madge asked. "I'd hate for something to happen to you. Who else would have my back during training?..."

Peter smiled to his little sister before they split up too heading for their own classes.

"Later Sis..."

Peter had his hands in his pocket walking towards his locker.

That's when he heard him.

"Yo Pete!..."A blonde boy, roughly around his age said as he came in.

It is friend, is Bobby Drake Junior or BJ for short. He is a tall, blonde, blue eye mutant with messy hair and an easy going disposition.

"Hey BJ..."Peter greeted.

"So, did you finish the math homework?..."BJ asked while Peter shook his head.

He already knew what he wanted.

"I'm not letting you look at my homework..."He said and BJ looked upset.

"Oh come on, Pete. Please..." Bobby begged but Peter shook his head.

"Dude, your dad is the math teacher and your mom is our first period teacher who also happens to have the scariest temper ever, even when she DOESN'T transform..."Peter said.

"I know, that's why I need help..."BJ pleaded while Peter sighed.

Peter rolled his eyes, knowing what he means.

"I'm not letting you look at my homework..."Peter said with his arms crossed.

"Please..."BJ begged and gave him a pleading look.

Peter hated that it was starting to work.

"They're going to figure out you didn't finish..." Peter said..."Again..."He added.

"Haven't figured it out yet!..." BJ said proudly.

This was 'tradition' for Peter, Bobby would ask him for help with the last few questions of the homework, Peter would say no, Bobby would beg or bring up how long they'd been friends and the cycle would continue.

Peter rolled his eyes before he sighed, giving up.

"Fine but you owe me big for this..." Peter said, pulling out his homework.

BJ shrugged, with a big, goofy smile on his face. The same smile he shared with his dad whenever he gets a bad idea.

"Meh, I'll just add it to the tab..."He shrugged as he took a quick peak of the work.

Peter sighed.

"Remind me, why are we friends?..." Peter asks.

"Because our parents are old friends and we get along so well..." BJ said with a smirk. "Plus we're both awesome mutant teens in the twenty-first century"

"You make us sound like the turtles who sometimes teach self defense at the New York institute"

"So, they're awesome. We're awesome, I don't see the problem..." BJ said with a grin before looking at a girl that walked past

Peter sighed.

"You're impossible..."He said.

"But you love me anyways..."BJ said and Peter resisted the urge to chuckle.

His mom and Bobby's dad are old friends and former squad mates, so they have known each other since they were in diapers, along with his twin sister Callie Drake, who is almost as scary as her mom when she transforms. Their mother, however, is someone whose past with Danny and Kitty, especially the former, they keep on a need-to-know basis.

Peter didn't really know, all he did know is that they are friends and that Mrs. Drake is NOT going easy on him if she catches him for anything. She doesn't even go easy on her own kids. Plus, she was probably the scariest X-Man alive whenever she turns into Time Bomb.

It is also a mystery to him, how BJ still thinks he could pull the wool over her eyes.

"Seriously, how do you forget to do the homework?..." Peter said while Bobby finished reading before handing it back to him... "Your mom and dad are teachers here too..."

"Hey, you're not the only one whose dad is a superhero!..." BJ said..."Or lets me go out on patrol behind mom's back..."

"But mine works with the Avengers, Kim Possible, Ben Tennyson, the Titans and even a liaison to the Justice League, not to mention to an entire alternate universe…" Peter said.

"True…" BJ said flatly... "But I'm always awesome, no matter the alternate earth I call home..."

"Awesome is not the adjective I'd use..." Peter joked

"Mean..."BJ whined and Peter laughed.

"It's true..." Peter said.

"So what if my dad doesn't call Kim Possible and Ben 10 his work friends?..." BJ asked.

"Alright, but I heard that your dad was more known as the most flirtatious of the X-Men..." Peter pointed out.

"He got better after dating mom. Plus, I'm sure I'll find the right girl for me, after the tenth... eleventh...maybe fifteenth try..." He said.

He saw the look that Peter was sending him and pouted.

"Okay, so I also share his taste in women too, sue me..."BJ muttered.

"Don't want to, you don't have anything I want..." Peter said before he and BJ started laughing.

So did Peter.

However, he stopped as soon as he saw someone pass by in the hall and stopped, with a goofy look now on his face. BJ saw it and rolled his eyes as he knew what this is about.

Again…

"Oh boy..." BJ teased while they walked into their first period classroom... "Someone is in Rachel Land again..."He teased.

Peter snapped out of it, blushed and sent an annoyed look to his friend.

"Am not..."Peter said.

"Are too..."BJ laughed.

"I just… blanked out..."He said weakly.

"Yeah, right..."BJ teased.

"I did!..."A blushing Peter said before his eyes landed on the older girl and he had a goofy look once more.

"Rachel..."He thought, all smitten like.

Rachel is the daughter of Scott and Jean Summers, a fellow mutant. She is also really pretty, cool and used to babysit Peter and his friends when they were little. She is also a student teacher at the institute, due to being in her second year in college.

Oh yeah, Peter has the biggest crush on her too, since he was 13 to be precise and he learned just how smart, cool and amazing she is. Not to mention pretty too. BJ also knew Peter's interest in her and would tease him to no end.

"Isn't she too old for you..." His buddy asked and Peter turned his head away.

"She's only five years older then I am..." Peter said with a blush

"Right… so… she'll call you in 10 years..." Bobby joked.

Peter rolled his eyes at that.

"Maybe... maybe not..."He muttered.

"Is he still drooling over Rachel?..."A new voice said.

It's BJ's twin sister, Callie Drake and right behind her, is their mutual friend CJ Morgan, Sam's son and Peter's god brother.

"I don't drool over her!..." Peter denied

"Uh huh, and your dad wears pink..." CJ said sarcastically.

The two laughed at Peter while he just shook his head.

"Why are you at my school again?..." He asked his god brother sarcastically.

CJ heard this and laughed.

"Because I can do this..." CJ said as his skin turned green and his hair and eyes turned red.

"Right..."Peter muttered.

CJ got to come to the Institute because he inherited his mom's plant like body and the ability to turn his body into Blood Blossom like vines. That and the fact that he needed a place to train, just like the rest of them.

"That's still cool..." Bobby said turning his hand into ice..."But I'm cooler.."He said.

"Great... another of dad's ice puns..."Callie said and BJ frowned.

"Mean..."He said in a half-serious way.

Meanwhile, Peter couldn't let his interest in Rachel go away.

Peter ignored him as his eyes landed on Rachel again and he admired her tall, slender, attractive form, her red hair that was in a pixie cut that looked so good on her and her beautiful green eyes, along with her perfect skin, perfect teeth and perfect...EVERYTHING!

She's without a doubt, the coolest and most gorgeous girl at the X-Institute.

"She looks really good today and she smells like jasmine..."Peter thought as he looked at her while she spoke to Dr. McCoy at the end of the hall.

To Peter, Rachel always looked good but she always left him tongue tied and drooling...Not that Peter would admit that aloud. No, he still needed to figure out what to say...and wait for her semester as a student teacher to finish...and wait until he was legally old enough to ask her out.

"Rachel..."He sighed internally.

"Hey, loverboy?..." CJ asked, waving his hand in front of his god brothers face..."Dude? Peter? come on, say something..."He said.

"Wow, he's really out of it this time..." Callie said.

"Has he reached the point where they're having their firstborn?..." CJ joked.

Peter heard that and rolled his eyes.

"Hahaha..."He laughed sarcastically.

His eyes landed on Rachel again and felt a small pang in his heart before he sighed.

"I just need more time..." Peter said to himself. However, he wasn't low enough to keep his words private.

"You do know that she's too old for you, right?..." Peters actual cousin, Kate Hyde said with an eye roll and a southern accent.

Kate is the daughter of Henry Hyde and Rogue. She looks a lot like her mother but with her father's black hair and green eyes. As for powers they were like her moms but with better control then when Aunt Rogue was a kid.

Anyway, Peter heard what she said and brushed it off, dismissing the current age issue.

"So, when I'm 18, she'll be 23. By the, she'll see what a catch I am..."Peter argued, still having hope for a chance with Rachel someday.

His friends, however, were being more realistic and responded with even more criticism.

"Or she'll just think of you as the kid she had to babysit..." Kate said teasingly.

"Even if you're as tall as her, or taller..." CJ said.

"You may need to wait until you're in your 30's first before she is even willing to consider younger men..."Kate said.

She was being sarcastic but Peter still sent lovey dovey looks to the older woman.

"I bet she'd still be gorgeous then... I'll brag about it when we have kids..." Peter said proudly.

Kate stuck her tongue out, grossed out before turning to her boyfriend.

"CJ hun, help me out here..."Kate said.

"Believe me Honeysuckle, I've tried forever he's just as stubborn..."CJ said.

"Too stubborn..."Kate added and Peter rolled his eyes, before he looked to his god brother

"Ceej, your girlfriend is being a pain in the neck..."Peter complained while Kate smacked him playfully.

"Oh, so mean..."Peter complained.

"You started it..."Kate said in a half playful tone.

"Still mean..."He said.

"Must be cause daddy used to fight uncle Danny, maybe I got a bit of evil in the womb..."Kate joked knowingly before CJ wrapped his arm around her. shoulders and grinned.

"There's nothing evil about you Kate, you're as sweet as honeysuckle..."He smiled at Kate.

Kate smiled back kissing the tall boy on the lips, while their friends either gushed over it or gagged over it.

"Gross..."Peter said and BJ jokingly gagged/

"Aww, that's so romantic..." Callie cheered, looking to Peter.

"You two could have that if you weren't so...you..." Callie said as she gestured to all of the two boys.

"You just gestured to all of us..." Peter and Bobby said

"I know..." Callie said with a smile.

Kate and CJ laughed while Peter rolled his eyes .

CJ only shrugged.

"Well, that IS the problem..."Kate said.

"She is STILL being a pain, CJ..."Peter muttered.

"I know..." CJ shrugged, kissing Kate on the cheek.

"Get a room you two..."BJ said and Callie laughed.

"You'll understand when your older..." Callie joked

"I'm ten minutes older then you, remember..." BJ said annoyed

"But girls mature faster then boys..." Callie said before turning her attention back to Peter.

"So, Peter what kind of eligible lady can we get you alone with?..." Callie said, putting her arm around Peters arm..."What are you looking for? Mutant, meta, monster, ghost, human, redhead, blonde, brunette, etc.."Callie listed off.

"I know a few goth girls at Casper High who'd love to go on a date with you, dude..." CJ said to his god brother

"Oh, that could work..." Callie said looking interested at the prospect.

But Peter isn't. He just looked more annoyed.

"CJ!..."Peter said, annoyed... "Don't encourage her and back me up..."He added.

CJ only shrugged..."Would love to help you out, dude but I got to get to biology..."He said as he wrapped his arm around Kate again.

"See ya, honeysuckle..."He said in a lovey dovey way to his girlfriend.

"Bye CJ..." Kate said before kissing CJ goodbye.

"Traitor..." Peter called after them ..."And eww!..."He gagged out

Kate stuck her tongue out at her cousin while CJ laughed.

"Love you too, bro..." CJ called back before leaving.

Some of the boys he passed looked jealously towards CJ before looking towards Kate. Peter frowned, debating how many of them he could get away with pancing them before his mom caught him for looking at his cousin like a piece of meat.

It was disgusting.

Speaking of his cousin, she went back to lecturing him about his crush on Rachel.

"You gotta get over her..."Kate said

"What if I don't want to?..."Peter said in a stubborn way.

His friends all sighed in an exasperated way before continuing.

"Seriously Peter, why are you still mooning over Rachel? Look, I know that she is cool but I could find you a way better girlfriend who also happens to be our age. After all, there's lots of single ladies who'd want a piece of you..."Callie said.

"Eww!..." Kate said, elbowing Callie..."Dude, he's my cousin..."She said, while Callie laughed.

"Oh come on, you know it's true..." She teased her best friend..."A single X-Bachelor looking for dates doesn't stay single too long around here..."She added.

Kate rolled her eyes, still looking grossed out

"It's still eww. Besides, how'd you like it if I talked about BJ like how you're talking about Peter..."She said.

"Annoyed that you guys are talking about us like we're not in the room..." Peter suggested as they walked into their first period

Peter was trying to ignore Callie while she was trying to play matchmaker.

AGAIN!

"I am serious. I have a few friends of mine who are available. Just give the word and I can set it up..."Callie continued.

She couldn't stop.

"Couldn't she find a boyfriend for herself? Then again, BJ and their dad might lose it..."Peter thought.

It was an old joke with the older X-Men that karma was going to pay Bobby back for all the girls he dated by giving him a daughter. Heck, Katie laughed for days about Bobby fainting when the doctors saw Callie in the ultrasound.

Irony.

"I still think you'd be better off finding someone other than Rachel. Sure, she is hot and pretty cool, but she's too old for you..."Bobby Jr said.

"For once, my brothers got a point..." Callie said.

"Love doesn't care about things like age..." Peter said but his friends sent him the "are you serious?" look.

"It does when she's your teacher!..." Kate said.

"Student-teacher..."Peter pointed out quickly.

"Whatever, that's still gross..."Kate said.

She didn't have anything against Rachel but she was just too old for her cousin. He is just too stubborn to accept it.

Peter had one defense.

"My dad had dated some older women before he and my mom picked each other..."Peter said, having recalled the story of how his parents got together in the first place.

"Yeah, but from I remember aunt Jazz say, those girls were still in high school like your dad, Rachel is in college. Huge difference..."Kate said.

"It's not like he went out with Poison Ivy or anything..." BJ added.

Peter saw their point but he still wanted to think he and Rachel could have a chance one day.

"I won't be a student forever..." Peter said..."She'll see one day that I'm not just some kid..."He said, in a wishful thinking sort of way as he thought of his beloved Rachel Anne Summers.

Peter had a dreamy look on his face as he imagined going on a date with Rachel in the that ended with their first kiss, a loving relationship, marriage and some kids.

Just like his parents did.

Peter was a bit of an old romantic

Like father, like son, according to his mom, aunts, grandparents and everyone else they know. Peter did not realize he was once again fantasizing about Rachel, but his friends did.

"He's daydreaming again, like Uncle Danny does when he thinks about Aunt Kitty..." Kate whispered to Callie.

"Aww, your family is so sweet..." Callie said.

Meanwhile BJ laughed, shooting an ice blast at Peter and making him jump.

"Hey!..." He said indignantly.

"You were daydreaming about her again, right?..." BJ asked.

Peter frowned.

"Keep it up and I'll remind you who is the toughest mutant here..."Peter said, reminding him that he can become indestructible at any given time.

BJ had a cocky smirk on his face.

"I don't know about that, since the rest of us are miles ahead of you with our powers..."He said teasingly.

"Hey, just because your X-gene's activated three years before mine did doesn't mean I'm weak. Besides, I have my ghost powers..."Peter said with his arms crossed.

"Which means you can't touch CJ when he's powered up..." Callie laughed while Peter looked to the blonde girl

"I thought you were on my side..." He said.

"I'm on the side of love and you should listen to your older friends advice..."She said in a know it all sort of way.

"You guys are only a year older than me and I'm older then CJ!..." Peter protested

"By seven months, not too impressive..." Kate said, sticking up for her man.

Peter shook his head, exasperated at his friends. He knew they meant well but there was only one girl for him.

Rachel Anne Summers.

The Marvel Girl, the love of his life and, if he's lucky, the mother of his future kids.

"Pete, we're not trying to be mean here. We just don't want you to get hurt..."Callie said.

Peter shook his head.

"I won't..."He muttered before grabbing his textbook from his locker.

Meanwhile, Kate decided to take sympathy on her cousin

"Look as much as I hate to admit it but she's right, there's got to be someone more...um, age appropriate for you to date..."Kate said.

Meanwhile, Callie looked to Kate, feeling insulted.

"Why don't you want to admit I'm right?..." She asked with her arms crossed.

"Because if I admit it, you'll rub it in my face for a week..." Kate said

Callie blinked before nodding.

"She's not wrong..."She admitted.

"Try living with her..." BJ said ..."Especially when she was learning to control her powers..."He thought and shuddered, remembering the times his mom and Callie would train in the danger room to get her under control, including watching old videos of the Hulk fighting the Abomination or other bad guys and practicing his techniques to control his temper.

Peter ignored them and was still thinking about Rachel. He knows that she is older than him but he did not want choices to be made for him.

"I decide who I fall for and I don't need help in finding a girlfriend..."Peter said.

"We know but you're still inexperienced..." BJ said.

"Am not..."Peter said..."Where's CJ when you need him?..."He asked but he asked already knew the answer.

"Biology Class..."The rest of his friends said or at least the rest of his friends that were here.

Peter rolled his eyes as he went to class with his friends and future squad mates. Since there was a bunch of new students joining this year, they had to bunch the high school classes together so the classes wouldn't be overcrowded

"Look guys, I appreciate the advice but I'm fine..." Peter said..."My dad had to choose between twenty eight girls in that dating service he did with Uncle Tuck to find my mom..." Peter said as he smiled, thinking about Rachel..."I just skipped a step..."He said and his friends looked at him skeptically.

"Yeah and my dad just had to kiss mom at New Years but I am pretty sure that there's a bit more to it then just that..."Kate said..."Like actual interaction rather than just 60% of your time staring from a distance and day dreaming..." She added.

"And 90% of the dialogue NOT being in class or related to school..." Callie said.

"Or being all tongue tied when you DO speak to her..."BJ added.

"And you guys are such love experts..."Peter said, sarcastically... "The only one whose even been on a date is my cousin and that is still an Eww..."He added while Kate sent him a look.

The conversation would have continued, had their first period teacher and the twins mother, Mrs. Drake came in.

"Good morning students, I hope that everyone had a good weekend..."The teacher, Mrs. Drake said..."Now, I know that you all have your teenage drama that you rather talk about but right now, we're going to talk about Captain America and the six American warriors..."She added.

"Never heard of them..." Bobby whispered to Callie who giggled.

Unfortunately for them, their mother heard them, despite them being at the far back of the class.

"Maybe you would if you did the reading like I told you to Robert Junior, instead of playing video games..." Katie said in a stern voice.

"Mom..."BJ said, feeling embarrassed.

Callie giggled at her brothers expense but shrinked a bit when her mother turned her attention to her.

"I wouldn't be laughing Callie, your grades have been slipping lately..."She said just as sternly before joking..."Maybe you've been spending too much time with your friends and not enough hitting the books..."She said, causing both of her children to look embarrassed.

"Aw, mom..."BJ and Callie said, while the others snickered at them.

"Karma..." Peter whispered gleefully.

"Having your mom be a teacher stinks..."BJ whispered as he groaned.

Peter shook his head, trying to erase any thoughts of Rachel, ignore his friends and focus on class work.

If not, he's going to be dealing with his own mother on his case, and she can be even scarier then Mrs. Drake when she gets mad.

And no one likes when Katie Drake gets mad

With Madge

While her brother was is Mrs. Drake's class, Madge was reading a book in English class with Mr. Wagner.

Right next to her is her dear friends, Damon Rasputin and Marcy Foley, Uncle Tuck's youngest daughter and the second smartest eighth grader in the institute, right after Madge herself.

It was Damon who she was the first friend she made.

Damon is the son of Piotr/Colossus and Red Huntress and has armor powers as tough as his dads, maybe even tougher.

He was named after his maternal grandfather.

All the while, Marcy while she hasn't displayed any abilities yet, it is believed that her gene may activate soon and since her father had used his connections to help make the school, Marcy was granted the privileged to attend. Her older brother TJ had elected to go to Casper High, since he had been tested multiple times for an awakened X-Gene and unlike his sister, didn't have the potential for it to wake up like she did

They weren't entirely sure why one kid had the chance to be a mutant over the other but Madge had heard aunt Velma wondering if something named Nibiru that gave Marcy her X-Gene potential.

No one really knows for sure.

Much less what Nibiru is.

Anyway, Madge thinks that Marcy's powers will come any day now. She had a gut feeling about it.

What power that is, though, remains to be seen.

"So are you ready for training?..." Marcy asked.

She was excited to prove herself in training but she was still nervous due to not knowing when or IF her X-gene will activate or if she'll be powerless like her brother...not that there was anything wrong with her brother or the rest of her family, they are the best but when everyone else around you had powers and you didn't...

Well, it wasn't the best for someone's self esteem.

Especially in a school of mutants. It would be a disappointment if her power were making her hair turn color or something of little use.

Madge nodded nervously, it was her first training exercise in the danger room, since she awakened her powers a few months ago. She was just thankful that since she has had her ghost powers since she was three, she had better control of her abilities than most young mutants do when their gene activates.

But still Madge had heard about the danger room all her life. It was where everyone would see if she had the potential to follow in her dads footsteps. If she was worthy to call herself a Phantom.

Her brother had entered the danger room not long after he activated and he totally managed to succeed thanks to having flight, intangibility and invisibility.

Madge could only hope to do as well.

She doesn't practice with her inherited powers that much compared to Peter.

"I'm excited..." Damon said, holding up his hand in a determined fist... "I can't wait to smash a robot or two dozen..."He added with a smirk.

"Of course you are..." Marcy said with a laugh

"I can't wait!" Damon said.

Madge swallowed her nervousness looking to Damon

"Yeah, I can't wait either..."Madge said, smiling towards Damon.

Deep down, she is still nervous.

Their powers were ready.

Meanwhile, Marcy frowned

"Lucky, I wish I had powers..."She said sullenly.

Madge forgot about her nervousness to try and cheer up her friend

"You still could be..." Madge said, trying to lift Marcy's hopes up..."Professor X says that lots of people have the X-gene and the X-Gene's potential can be awakened in result of helping the next generation adapt. Uncle Tuck has been around all kinds of weird stuff, so some of it could have messed with his DNA..."

"How's that supposed to help me?..."Marcy asked.

"He could have passed it onto you and your brother..." Madge said.

"Yeah..." Damon said, trying to cheer her up... "Maybe you'll have some kind of ghost power or mummy powers..." He suggested.

"What are mummy powers?" Madge asked and Damon thought about it for a moment before shrugging.

"I don't know, maybe turning into sand like Mrs. Parker..." Damon said.

"Or like that mummy from the movie."

"Which one?" Marcy asked.

"Not that last one..." Madge said.

Marcy looked a little more hopeful.

"You think?..."She asked and her friends nodded.

"Yeah, I think so. Not sure about the sand part but yeah..." Madge said.

"It could happen." Damon said.

"Let's focus on our reading everyone..." Their teacher, Mr. Kurt Wagner said appearing behind Madge and her friends like a ninja and making the three 13 year olds jump.

Even without his powers he could still sneak up on them

"Sorry, Mr. Wagner..."Madge said.

The teacher smiled.

"It's fine Madge but please let's focus on your book..."The teacher said.

Mr. Wagner walked over to Marcy, kneeling down beside her and giving her a compassionate look.

"Marcy, you don't need powers to be an X-Man, there are plenty of ways you can help people on and off the front lines..." Mr. Wagner said.

Marcy smiled and nodded.

"Thanks sir..." She said

Mr. Wagner teleported away in a poof of brimstone smelling smoke while the three thirteen year olds actually started reading their book

With Logan

In his fourth grade room, Logan was in his science class, listening to Dr. McCoy talk about evolution.

He was currently substituting for Mrs. Parker, who was on a mission in New York.

"A lot of what we know about evolution we can thank a man named Charles Darwin for..."Dr. McCoy said to his class.

Logan yawned. Dr. McCoy was nice but his lectures were really boring and sleep inducing at times.

It's like his mutant power was making kids sleepy with his lectures

Next to Logan was his best friend Shogo, the adopted son of Jubilee. Shogo was trying not to fall asleep while Logan poked him.

"Shogo, wake up..."He whispered as he poked him, startling him awake.

"I'm awake..." he said looking around, some students snickered at his outburst.

"That's quite good, Mr. Lee..." Dr. McCoy said..."I'd hate for you to miss out on our discussion there will be a test on it on Friday..."The beastly teacher said.

Logan and the rest of the class groaned while Dr. McCoy laughed before continuing the lecture.
