Anime: Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers

Authoress' Note: This was originally a story I'd written for school one year for my English class in the 7th grade. I don't remember how it went exactly but here's my shot at rewriting it and I got a "B" on the original (For writing "Am I" instead of "Are we" near the end by mistake. That'll be fixed here though). No pairings in this one and Ryo will have a sister here as well and a mother instead of his father. Enjoy. Just a little something while I replace "Tèa's Confusion and Crush" chapters into regular story versions.

It's a cold and snowy winter day in the Sanada home, and Ryo Sanada was just coming home from being out in town. His mother is at the stove cooking when he walks in.

"Welcome home, Ryo. Have you seen your sister?"

"No, Mom. I'm sure she's around though, don't worry"

She notices her son's snowy hair and flushed cheeks, red from the winter cold. "Well, sit down and I'll make us some cocoa." She tells him as she helps him slip on his jacket, scarf and gloves, hanging them to dry.

"Sounds good."

"Dinner's almost ready, too, so you may want to freshen up a bit."

"Alright." That's when Ryo's younger sister, Sarah, walks in.

"There you are, Sarah." Her mother replies. "Where were you? I was beginning to worry."

"Sorry, Mom."

"Well, you two go freshen up now and dinner should be ready by the time you're finished. And I have something I want to talk to you about afterwards."

Both siblings look at each other curiously then nod to their mother, heading to the bathroom after, then enjoy a nice hot meal of chicken soup and hot cocoa with marshmallows.

And after dinner…

"So what did you want to tell us, Mom?" Ryo asks curiously.

"Well, Ryo…I'm afraid we may have to move."

"Move!" Ryo and Sarah both say in unison. They were shocked.

"But why?" Sarah asks. "We like it here!"

"I know you do," Mrs. Sanada says in sympathy. "but money is tight right now; I'm not so sure we can afford to stay here, at least not much longer."

"We can raise the money!" Ryo intervenes.

"Please, Mom, don't sell the house. I'm sure if we work together we could work this out."

"I'm with her." Ryo agrees.

"You're sure about all this?" Their mother asks, getting a nod from them both.

"Of course we are." Ryo states matter-of-factly. "Why wouldn't we be? We've lived here for a long time. Are we being selfish by asking such a thing?"

"No. No, you're not. And if it really means that much to you then…" Then she smiles at them softly with a sigh. "I guess we can stay."

"Oh, thank you, mother!" Sarah cries as she hugs her mom, Ryo doing the same.

And so, working together, in the end they managed to hold on to the house and their love, living happily ever after.

Authoress' Note: Well, that's it. Just a little one-shot I did for a past school assignment. Again, maybe not exactly the way it was done, since I no longer have the original copy (though I wish I did) but I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!
