Chapter 1
General P.O.V:
"Welcome to your new home," Arizona says to herself as she drops her bags down onto the bottom bunk. She looks around the room to get familiarized with the room she'd be calling home the next two years. She let out a deep sigh and began unpacking her stuff. "I guess I really do deserve to be here after what I've done," she thought some more as she felt a tear run down her cheek.
"Talking to yourself, are ya?" came a female voice. She wiped her cheek, then turned in the direction of the voice. She sees a taller, darker haired blonde leaning against the door frame with her arms crossed over chest, smiling at her.
"Oh, I didn't think anyone else was here,"
"Apparently," the woman chuckles, "I'm Teddy. Teddy Altman," The taller blonde moves further into the room to get a better view of the unknown newcomer.
"I'm Arizona," Arizona answered with a smile.
"Arizona? Wow, that's unique,"
"Yeah, well, what can I say, my dad was a unique man the day I was born," she chuckles.
"So, does Arizona have a last name? or is it just Arizona?"
"Robbins. Arizona Robbins,"
"It's nice to meet you, Arizona Robbins. Welcome to the life of Military School. What brings you here to West Point,"
"Killer dolls. I had one that was possessed by the notorious Charles Lee Ray, the Lakeshore Strangler," Arizona jokes. Teddy raises her brow and chuckles.
"Wow, unique and funny. That's two for two, darlin'," Arizona just laughs, then turns back to finish unpacking her stuff.
"What can I say," she shrugs, "So, what do you all do for fun around here?"
"Fun? What exactly is that?" It was Teddy's turn to make a joke. Arizona turns to look at her, a confused look upon her face.
"You guys don't get to have fun here?"
"Oh, we do. But it's mostly drills, weapon tossing. You know, like color guard, but only without the fun,"
"Oh. Sounds like they picked a dud place for me then," Arizona says sadly.
"They?"
"Nothing," she says, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears, before turning back to her bunk.
"Oh, so you have secrets. Spill it, Robbins,"
"Oh, it's nothing, really," Teddy takes a seat on Arizona's bed and smiles at the shorter blonde.
"Come on, were going to be roommates. Roommates don't keep secrets. They happen to become your best friend the more time you spend here. So, spill it,"
"I got caught doing something I wasn't supposed to, so it was either here or jail and I really didn't want jail time. So, now, here I am,"
"What did you do?"
"I really don't want to talk about it," she says.
"Okay, I get it. Sore subject. Understandable. But anyway, you may want to hurry, we have roll call in ten minutes. So, make sure you are dressed and out standing in line," Teddy says, getting up from her spot. She folds her arms on Arizona's back and whispers in her ear, "a little tip, keep your mouth shut, do your job, and look the LTs in the eye, you will be just fine,"
"Thanks," Arizona whispers back, swallowing the lump in her throat.
"Anytime, see you out there," Teddy says, then leaves Arizona standing alone near their bunk.
"I already hate it here," Arizona says sadly to herself.
Standing in line for roll call, Arizona bounces on the heels of her feet to try and keep warm. Of all days to start Military school, she picked the day it wanted to rain and snow. Facing front, she watched another blonde walk up to a darker haired brunette. Arizona couldn't help but stare. The brunette was gorgeous. Long dark hair that came down to her shoulders and Carmel like skin and the most beautiful brown eyes.
"Everyone is accounted for," came the blonde woman.
"Thank you, General Hahn," the brunette answers. She begins walking, looking at each of her Cadets to make sure they were all dressed in their proper attire. As the brunette walked, Arizona never took her eyes off the brunette. When she stopped in front of the newcomer, Arizona's breath hitched, and her heart began to pound wildly in her chest. The brunette steps closer to Arizona to where she's inches from her face.
"You're the new girl, huh,"
"Yeah,"
"How are you doing?"
"Pretty good," Arizona answers with a small smile. Arizona stared into the deep chocolate brown eyes; she could get lost in them.
"Who said you could look at me?" Brunette says right in her face. Arizona's smile disappeared and swallowed hard.
"I'm s-sor,"
"Do you know how I am?" the brunette yells. The blondes heart began to beat faster, and she tried to compose herself to keep from saying anything stupid.
"No ma'am," Arizona says nervously.
"Lieutenant General Torres. Now say it, Maggot,"
"Lieutenant General Torres,"
"No, No, Lieutenant General Torres…Ma'am,"
"Lieutenant General Torres, Ma'am,"
"Louder," Lt. General Torres commands.
"Ma'am," Robbins says louder.
"Louder," Callie yells louder.
"Ma'am," Arizona yells over her.
"Much better new girl. That's much better. What's your name, Maggot?"
"Robbins, Arizona Robbins, Ma'am," Arizona replies. Callie looks the newcomer in the eye. She couldn't help but notice how beautiful this woman's eyes were. She could get lost in them orbs. Callie steps away and continues her check. Arizona let out a sigh of relief when the brunette was no longer standing in front of her. Her face was now imbedded in her mind and there was no escaping it. Lt. General Torres will now forever be on her mind.
*Short chapter to start, but it's something new. Bear with me, I don't know anything about the Military or Military school, so please no harsh reviews. I will be updating The Girl in the Bar-Rewrite, But I will also be working on this one too. *
