Chapter 2
Inside her dorm, Callie laid on her bed, thinking about the new blonde that had joined her unit. She couldn't get over how beautiful that woman's face was. She knew that it was against the rules for the higher ups to have any kind of involvement with the Cadets, but she couldn't help but feeling like she wanted to get to know the woman who's now taking over her mind.
"God what is wrong with me?" Callie asks herself. She let's out a sigh, then turns over to face the wall to try and get some sleep, but she couldn't. The picture of the blonde kept floating through her mind. "This is fucking ridiculous," Callie gets up from her bed and heads out of her dorm to go for a run to clear her mind.
Callie ran for almost an hour, but nothing helped her keep her mind off the new blonde. As she entered her room, her best friend and roommate, was sitting at her desk, with a pen and paper in front of her.
"Where have you been?" the red head asks after hearing her friend enter the room.
"I went for a run. What are you doing here? I thought you were hanging out Mark tonight," she says, slumping back down on her bed. Addison turns in her chair to face her.
"I was, but he had some business to take care of. So, we called it an early night,"
"Oh," was all Callie could get out.
"You, okay?" the redhead asked her.
"Yeah, I'm great," Callie says sarcastically.
"Having issues with Hahn?"
"Hell no, Hahn and I have been way over for a while now,"
"Ah, then what's on your mind?"
"I have this new blonde in my unit,"
"Oh, just your type too," the redhead jokes.
"Shut it," Callie growls, slumping down on her bed. She runs her hands through her hair and lets out a sigh "Addie, have you ever felt a connection with one of your Cadets? Like you were instantly drawn to them. Just hours after they arrived?"
"What do you mean?" Addison questions.
"You know what, never mind," Callie says, covering her face with her arm, "this girl has been on my mind since roll call this afternoon. And for the life of me, I can't get her face out of my head, and she's only been here for several hours,"
"Well, you need to. You know the rules, Callie. No fraternizing with our Cadets,"
"I know, but I just can't help it. You didn't see how beautiful she looked in her uniform. God, it was like I wanted to rip the uniform off and fuck her right there,"
Addison just smirks at her friend.
"Wow, she's been here not even twenty- four hours and you already got it bad for her,"
"Yeah, no fucking shit. What am I going to do?" Addison moves from her spot at her desk and joins Callie on her bed.
"Well, you could always keep it for professional when others are around, then meet somewhere seclusive. That's what Mark and I do. We go somewhere that no one knows about. Tell you what, since we have a free day tomorrow, with-it being Saturday, why don't we go and I can show you the spot,"
"Yeah, sure," Callie says, letting out a sigh, "I'm going to go shower. I feel hot and sweaty after my run," Callie gets up from her bed and grabs herself a change of clothes from her drawers.
"I'm sure that new girl wouldn't mind having you all hot and sweaty," Addison says with a laugh.
"Shut the fuck up," Callie growls. She grabs an object off her dresser and throws it at the redhead, which Addison instantly dodges. The redhead just laughs at her friend then turns back and puts her attention back on what was in front of her, "I'll be back," Callie leaves the room to head to the shower rooms.
Entering the showers, she heard singing coming from one of the shower stalls.
"Damnit!" she groans out, "I was hoping to have this place to myself," She enters one of the stalls and turns the water on and sets it at the right temp.
"What hurts the most was being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could've been And not seeing that love in you Is what I was trying to do It's hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go But I'm doing it It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends And I'm aloneā¦.." Callie hears from the stall next to her, "Still harder getting up, getting dressed, living with this regret But I know if I could do it over
would trade, give away all the words that I saved in my heart That I left unspoken What hurts the most Is being so close And having so much to say (much to say) And watching you walk away And never knowing What could've been And not seeing that love in you Is what I was trying to do Oh," Callie stood her stall listening to the woman sing. Callie couldn't help but smile. Her voice was amazing. Not the song she would pick for the unknown woman, but her voice was spectacular. As she showered, she listened to the woman singing which helped take her mind off the blonde she had met earlier in the day.
After she was done, Callie shut the water off and grabbed her towel off the hook that was outside the stall. After drying off and getting dressed in her nightclothes, Callie exited the stall and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the woman who the voice had belonged to.
"What the hell?" Callie says aloud. Arizona turned around and smiled at the Latina.
"Oh, hey there, Lt. I didn't expect to see you here," she says sweetly.
"What the hell you are doing in here, Maggot?"
"Same reason you are here. To take a shower," Arizona replied.
"I see that. But why?" Arizona furrowed her brow in confusion.
"Because I needed one. Is that an issue?"
"Yes, no," Callie corrects herself. She rolled her eyes at the blonde, "Lights off in ten, Maggot," she says, leaving the shower room.
*So, here's chapter 2.
