Here's the promised sequel to Star Wars!

There's gonna be a lot of changes to make the Sequel Trilogy better. Again, there is not gonna be any Rey & Ben Solo, so don't be looking forward to it or try to change my mind about it.

That said, Rey WILL have a love interest, just not Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, or Finn.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this as much as you enjoyed the previous story!

I don't own Star Wars.

Chapter 1: Mission to Jakku

A flicker of sunlight peered through a crack in the hull of the vessel interior, shining some light onto a long figure inside the vessel. The figure was clad in a light tan tunic-like top with grey leggings and grey wrappings around the arms. Strapped to their back was a large pole like object.

The figure wore cloth coverings around their head with goggles over their eyes. They had a large satchel over their right shoulder as they looked through the parts inside a section of the ship.

"Ahh-ha." The figure let out in some relief as they pulled out a cooling capacitor from the infrastructure.

The figure put the part inside their satchel before climbing down to the sand filled floor of the ship.

The figure looked up at the sunlight and noticed it shining directly at her. No other area inside the dark and desolate wreckage was lit up as much as she was now.

The person couldn't help but feel slightly uplifted by this, taking it as a sign of something good.

They left the wrecked ship and looked back at it, the sun shining from the other side. The wreckage of the behemoth Star Destroyer blocked a bit of the sun.

The figure removed their goggles and head wrappings, revealing a young woman. Her light skin naturally tanned from years in the sun. She had hazel eyes and long brown hair that was done in three buns going down the back of her head.

She stretched her arms and rubbed her aching shoulder, the weight of the bag straining her from carrying the parts all day.

She walked over to a red speeder shaped almost in a rectangular fashion. The speeder had a dusty net attached to the side, and the young woman putting her satchel inside before climbing onto the speeder and putting her goggles back on

The speeder looked to be very makeshift, almost as if it were made from various scavenged parts, but very well made from them.

The young woman sped across the sandy dunes of the desert planet.

The dunes were littered by the remnants of a once great battle. Hundreds of crashed X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings, and TIE Fighters joined by wreckages of Corellian corvettes, Nebula-Frigates, Victory Cruisers, Star Destroyers, and Mon-Calamari capital ships.

Around each of these wreckages were dozens of various aliens, each leaving the various wreckages with parts in tow. The sun started to go down as the young woman approached a large camp.

The camp seemed to be quite makeshift, many of the buildings were tents made of ship parts, or crashed ships themselves, various aliens bringing their hauls to the tents.

The young woman stopped as she removed her goggles and stepped down. Despite her shoulder's soreness, she held up her bag of scavenged parts and got in line to a hut made of scavenged metal in the center of the camp.

As the young woman waited, she noticed one of the aliens slowly moving towards her speeder.

"Willoc," She called in a warning tone as the alien turned and snarled at her.

The young woman gave an irritated look as she reached for the pole strapped on her back. She twisted the top as the alien backed up, looking more afraid.

"That's what I thought," She said before turning back.

Despite the tedious wait, the others in line could see the optimism and hint of excitement on the young woman's face.

She kept looking at the sky for ships, a few coming and going.

Finally she reached the counter where she saw none other than the junk boss himself, Unkar Plutt. He was a tall and fat Crolute with pinkish skin, with a big nose and a neck so fat it looked as if he had no chin.

The young woman put her parts on the counter, the alien took out a vision enhancer as he looked closer at the parts.

"Those are from an Imperial Mark-II, they're the best you can find here on Jakku, I can assure you. Much better than the junk you'd get from one of those Mon-Calamari cruisers," she explained

"Shut up, and let me examine these parts," Unkar snorted.

"Sorry Unkar, just trying to make your job easier," she replied

The grumpy alien looked at the young woman's happy expression with a condescending look,
"What's got you in such an optimistic mood today, Rey?"

"Today's the day I leave this planet," she stated

"Ahh, of course it is, it's only been how many years and you still think they're coming back. At first I found it funny, now it's almost sad," Unkar said

"Alright Plutt, but as I was saying, my parts are-" she was cut off

"Worth one-quarter portion."

Unkar took Rey's parts behind the counter before placing a small sealed package with four blue stone like items inside.

Despite this news, Rey took the package and left with the same optimism.

She walked through the camp and to a moister vapor, taking out a canteen and putting it beside the nozzle before filling it.

Rey looked around at the other scavengers, a few waving at her while others either ignored her or gave the young woman nasty looks.

After filling her canteen, Rey approached a more open area of the camp where several of the ships took off or landed.

An older human woman sat near the area with a data pad.

"Evening Terra," Rey greeted.

The wrinkled woman turned to the younger woman,
"Ahh Rey, back from the bountiful treasure hunting I see."

"If it were bountiful, I wouldn't be wearing this trash, would I?" Rey retorted, referring to her clothes.

The old woman laughed a little, "I suppose that's true."

Rey's excitement then turned to nervousness,
"Terra, I have to ask...any people on the incoming ships today...?"

Terra's expression changed as well,
"I'm afraid no humans in today...I'm sorry."

The excitement and optimism from before soon faded from Rey's face, "I understand."

She turned and left as the older woman gave her a compassionate look.

Rey rode her speeder across the sand before she reached the wreckage of an AT-AT Walker, and carefully entered in through the bottom.

The sand filled compartment had a hammock set up with a small doll made of makeshift material. The doll was dressed in orange like a Rebel pilot.

Rey went to a dirty pan and poured some water in it before opening the package. She poured one of the powdered objects into the water before lighting a fire under another pan and putting the other blue objects over a cooking pan.

She waited a few minutes, looking over at the wall before going over to it and marking a tally mark. Beside it were hundreds if not thousands of other marks.

She returned before the powder turned into a muffin shaped blue pastry and the blue objects turned green. She took a fork and put each on a plate before grabbing her water canteen.

She sat outside as the sun continued to set, resting against one of the walker's front feet. As she ate, she looked at one of the ships leaving Jakku, sighing before she lowered her head.

After finishing her dinner, she took her staff and water canteen before boarding her speeder again. She drove out further into the desert before reaching a very small camp near a plateau. A single tent was there with a fire outside.

She parked the speeder before she dismounted and approached the tent. An old human male came out dressed in a brown raggedy robe. He had blue eyes and thin whit hair with a thin beard and mustache.

"Sorry I'm late, Lor," Rey said.

"Late? No you're just in time my friend, come let's begin," the elderly man chuckled.

Several hours passed as Rey was now drenched in sweat as she struggled to catch her breath.

She held up a vibrosword as she faced Lor, whom also had one.

She made a few lunge strikes, but the older man knocked them away before tripping her.

She quickly recovered and got back up before catching her teacher's sword.

The older man smiled, "Well done, I got you with that move last time."

"I guess I'm learning," Rey said smiling, before she got up and continued attacking the older man, before he eventually knocked her sword to the ground.

"Well, your grip clearly still needs work," he chastised.

"Yes Lor," Rey said, picking up her sword.

"You look more tired than usual. Are you getting enough to eat Rey?" Lor asked with concern.

She sighed, "Enough..."

"Clearly not. We've trained enough for today. Sit, eat, I have some freshly caught meat," Lor said. But Rey tried to protest.

"No Lor, I couldn't possibly-"

"Rey, I'm an old man; if I eat this much meat, I'll get fat. You're young and you don't eat enough," "Lor insisted.

Rey gave in and sat beside the older man as he served her some meat.

"Has that fool who runs Niima outpost been giving you more trouble," Lor asked.

Rey shook her head, "No more than the others have. Though I will admit, these lessons have been helping me fend them off."

Lor smiled, "The sword is a much more civilized weapon than a blaster. A weapon of a better age than this. Any fool with a blaster can commit a massacre to those without blasters."

"Couldn't you say the same about a sword?" Rey asked.

"Yes, but who carries swords these days?" The old man countered, making her laugh. "It's good to see you so happy, child. Today of all days."

Rey sighed, "I thought today was the day. I don't know why, but... I just had a feeling that today was the day they would come and take me home."

Lor gave a compassionate look as he put his hand on her shoulder,
"You must never give up hope, Rey. Someday, you will see your family again."

Rey finished eating before she used part of her tunic to wipe her mouth. She got up and opened up the top of her staff before placing her vibrosword inside.

"Thank you for the lesson master, and dinner. Same time tomorrow?"

"Yes, and Rey?" Lor added, making her turn back to him. "Happy nineteenth birthday."

Rey nodded before boarding her speeder and departing.

Lor watched her leave before taking a deep breath. He went back into his tent before carefully opening a box with a small cloth bag inside it.

He held it tightly, "Tomorrow, yes... tomorrow, I'll tell her the truth... Even if she's not ready, she deserves to know."

Moments later, Lor heard something else. He saw lights around his camp before leaving his tent.

He looked at the night sky before two objects moved towards him. As the objects got closer and closer, he realized they were ships.

Lor took a deep breath as the ships landed; two blue and white X-Wing Fighters.

The pilot of the first X-Wing came out, a human male with short dirty-blond hair and green eyes. He wore a brown jacket with red shoulders and a beige-colored backpack strapped to his shoulders.

The second pilot was a human male with messy brown hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. He wore a brown jacket with red shoulders and carried a sniper blaster around his back. A strange droid rolled beside him. The droid was very small, orange and white, and riding a metal ball.

"Lor San Tekka, you're a hard man to find." The second pilot said, smiling.

Lor kept a neutral expression, "A man who doesn't want to be found should be hard to find."

The first pilot chuckled, "Poe, you two go talk. BB-8 and I will keep a lookout.

"Yeah, sure," Poe nodded before he followed the older man inside his tent.

"So, who are you?" Lor asked as he sat down.

"My name is Captain Poe Dameron, commander of Rapier Squadron of the Resistance. Hawk out there and I were sent here to find you."

Lor's face lit up, "Ah, Luke and Leia sent you."

"Yeah, our intel said that you have a map to Master Skywalker and his wife," Poe replied.

Lor nodded and placed a small pouch in Poe's hand, then closed it, "This will lead to them. With Anakin's return, the Jedi can bring the Force back into balance."

Poe nodded, "Thank you."

"Poe!" Hawk burst in with BB-8. "We got company!"

They all came out of the tent and Poe looked through his binoculars at the hills. He could see several small transports flying toward them.

"You two need to go, now!" Lor urged.

Poe nodded and ran toward his X-Wing with BB-8, but Hawk looked at Lor with sadness.

"You should come with us," he pleaded.

"I can't, this is my duty. But I have a request," Lor said. Hawk nodded. "There's a girl who's lived most of her life here. She just turned nineteen, and she's gonna insist on staying here, but I want you to take her with you."

"What does she look like?" Hawk asked.

"Brown hair, hazel eyes, carries a metal staff," Lor replied. Hawk nodded.

"I'll do what I can," he promised before he ran after Poe and BB-8.

The village warning bell rang and several of the villagers gathered weapons, preparing to fight. The drop-ships landed and several Storm Troopers came out, opening fire. These new Troopers weren't Clones, but regular human recruits trained from birth.

Poe and Hawk ran to their X-Wings, with the droid close behind them.

"Come on BB-8!" Poe shouted.

"Poe, if the First Order is here, we can't leave the planet yet!" Hawk told him.

"I know!" Poe replied, frustrated.

Some Troopers spotted their X-Wings and shot them, damaging the engines!

"Fuck! Now we can't leave, period!" Hawk yelled before drawing his blaster, and shot some Troops that were approaching.

A familiar blue and white astromech droid rolled over to Hawk's side, beeping and whirling.

"I know Artoo," he replied.

Poe got out the pouch and handed it to Hawk, "Take this, then you and the droids go."

Hawk looked at him like he was crazy, "What?! We're not gonna leave you!"

"Right now, protecting this is more important. I'll find you guys," Poe insisted.

Hawk sighed, "You'd better, or I'll drag you back from hell and kick your ass!"

He gathered some supplies from their X-Wings before he and the droids took off.

One Trooper was using a flamethrower to set fire to the village. Poe hid against a sandy hill, then took a sniping position. He shot several troops as they ran by.

One of the Trooper's knelt beside his comrade who got shot. The other trooper reached out to his friend, his hand covered in blood, and rubbed his helmet.

Seeing his friend die, the first Trooper stood up, and began to hyperventilate. Sounds around him became muffled as he looked around frantically. The rest of the troopers began gathering up the remaining villagers as a large black ship with wide wings descended toward the ground. It was an Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle.

Two troopers led Lor over to the other villagers as the ship landed. A tall figure wearing a hooded black cloak walked down the ramp. His black mask, lined with imposing grey metal lined around the eye visor, was cold and menacing in its slate like surfacing.

Beside him was a larger Storm Trooper. She was an officer with chrome-plated armor and a black cape.

The black-clad figure approached Lor as he was guided over to him. The older man had an almost disappointed look on his face as he and the figure in black stared at each other.

"Look how old you've become," the man in black said, his voice altered by his mask.

"Perhaps, but something far worse has become of you, boy," Lor responded.

"You know what I've come for."

"I know where you come from, before you called yourself Kylo Ren."

"The map to Skywalker, we know you found it."

"If I still had it, perhaps I would. He might be the only one left in the galaxy who can save you from yourself, boy."

"Where is the map!?" Ren demanded

"Look at yourself, boy. If your family could see you now... What you've become..." Lor said solemnly. "The First Order rose from the dark side, you did not."

"You do not know the dark side."

"Maybe, but no matter how hard you try; you cannot escape nor deny the truth that is your family."

"You're so right," Ren igniting his lightsaber. The blade glowed red but in an almost unstable fashion, with a two small energy cross guards coming out above the handle. He swung his blade down, decapitating Lor.

The villagers screamed in fright before Poe fired at Ren, but he quickly turned and held his hand up, freezing Poe and his blaster bolt in midair with the Force.

Two troopers rushed over, both hitting him with the stocks of their blasters before dragging him over to Ren and kicked him down to his knees. Ren knelt down in front of him, then there was just silence.

"So who talks first? I talk first? You talk first?" Poe asked.

"The old man gave it to you," Ren stated.

"It's kinda hard to understand you with that thing," Poe said, referring to his mask.

"Search him," Ren ordered.

The two troopers searched him, rather aggressively.

"Hey, whoa, at least buy me dinner first!" Poe quipped, making one of the troops smack him. "Hey easy; I got personality, but looks are good too!"

"It's not on him, sir," One of the troops said.

"Put him on board."

"Oh goody, I've always wanted to see what First Order ships look like from the inside," Poe joked as the troopers dragged him away.

"Sir, what of the villagers?" The chrome Storm Trooper asked.

Ren turned to the men and women, who were shaking in fear,
"They're of no use to us, Captain Phasma. Kill them all."

"What, no!?" Poe screamed in protest.

The Troopers mercilessly gunned down the villagers, but the one Trooper with blood on his helmet didn't. He knew it was wrong; the villagers were not a threat, so he felt that killing them was wrong.

Ren looked at the Trooper for a minute before boarding his shuttle.

Some of the troopers destroyed the two X-Wings, which Hawk, Artoo and BB-8 saw them explode in the distance.

BB-8 whirled in distress and Hawk patted his head, "Don't worry, I sense that Poe is still alive."

They turned around and kept moving.

The First Order drop-ships and the Command Shuttle flew back into orbit, where they approached a massive Star Destroyer, the Finalizer. The ships landed in the docking bay, where dozens of Storm Troopers, as well as dozens of pilots in black armor, and naval personnel in black uniforms with droids were doing routine work.

Poe was escorted away while the marked Trooper stumbled over to one of the drop-ships. He made sure no one was looking before he removed his helmet. His dark skin was covered in sweat, and his brown expressed extreme distress. He had black hair don in a military buzz-cut.

He panted heavily, holding onto the wall for support, almost feeling like he was gonna puke.

"FN-2187," He heard behind him, before turning to see Captain Phasma. "Submit your blaster for inspection."

"Yes Captain," he responded.

"And who gave you permission to remove that helmet?" she questioned.

"No one, ma'am," he said, before putting it back on.

The chrome captain looked at him for another moment,
"Report to my division, at once."

Inside the dark room, Poe was strapped to a metal board as one of the Storm Troopers kept hitting him.

Poe tried to breath as the trooper held his head,
"Are you ready to talk?"

"Okay, okay," he responded, before he spat blood onto the trooper's helmet. He laughed before the trooper started beating on him again.

"That's enough," Ren ordered. "Leave us." The trooper left as Ren slowly approached Poe.

"Lovely accommodations you have here, though I don't think I'd recommend them to a friend," he joked.

Ren's helmet came close to Poe's face,
"I'm impressed. No one's been able to make you talk."

Poe chuckled a bit, "You might wanna rethink your technique."

Kylo raised his hand in front of Poe's head, who's expression started to change. He felt as if something was crushing his mind, a worse pain then anything he had ever felt in his life. He began to scream in blood curdling pain.

Moments later, Kylo left the chamber and came up to another officer waiting outside.

The officer looked to be about thirty, with light skin, blue eyes and well trimmed red hair. He wore a black officer's uniform with a trench coat over it and two golden epaulets on the shoulders.

"He gave the map to another pilot. A tall male with dirty blonde hair, and he's traveling with two astro droids," Ren told him

The officer smiled, "If they're on Jakku, then we need only to retrieve it."

"I'll leave that to you, General Hux," Ren stated before walking off.

The next morning on Jakku, Rey awoke, still a bit sore from her training session the night before.

"You'd think after years of training, the morning soreness would go away. I guess that just means I made progress," she said to herself before grabbing her canteen, her satchel, and her staff.

She looked at the wall of tally marks before looking up at the sky, then climbed onto her speeder.

As she made her way through the graveyard of ships, she passed by the ruins of twenty Mon-Calamari cruisers surrounding a wrecked Star Destroyer.

A few hours later, she came back out of the crashed Star Destroyer with a satchel full of parts. A few other scavengers looked at her satchel, but she grabbed her staff in a threatening manner and they returned to their work.

Rey set her bag in the net before she saw smoke in the distance. She soon realized where the smoke was coming from and gave a horrified expression.

"LOR!"

She sped towards her teacher's camp as fast as her speeder would allow, but when she arrived, she saw the aftermath of a battle.

All the villagers lay dead around Lor's camp, two destroyed ships among them. Rey quickly dismounted her speeder and looked around.

"Lor! Lor!" she called before she gasped. She she saw Lor's head cut from his body.

"No, no," she broke down in front of her friend's body. "NO!"

For so many years; Lor had been the only one Rey had ever truly felt close to. Now he was gone, now she truly was alone.

FN-2187 entered the interrogation chamber, where Poe was still strapped to the metal table.

"Ren wants the prisoner," he told the trooper on guard. Poe was released, then FN-2187 escorted him through the ship. As they passed a squad of troopers, he pushed Poe behind a corner, so they were hidden.

"Listen, if you do exactly as I say, I can get you out of here," FN told him.

"What?" Poe asked, confused.

FN took off his helmet, "This is a rescue."

Poe's expression changed,
"Are you a spy?"

"No, but I'm here to help. Can you fly a TIE fighter?" FN asked

"Buddy, I can fly anything," Poe responded. "But, why are you helping me?"

"Because it's the right thing to do," FN replied.

He put his helmet back on and lead Poe to the main hanger, where they carefully boarded a TIE fighter. These new fighters were built for two people, a main pilot and a rear gunman.

"I've always wanted to fly one of these things," Poe stated as they got strapped in. "Can you shoot?"

"Blasters, yeah," FN responded as he removed his helmet.

"Okay, same principle. Use the toggle on the left to switch between missiles, cannons and mag pulse. Use the sight on the right to aim. Triggers to fire," Poe instructed as he prepped for takeoff. They began to fly away, but a restraining cable was still attached to the left wing.

As Poe worked to disconnect it, FN shot at the troopers that were attempting to stop them. He even fired on the observation deck. Poe got the cable off and they blasted out of the hanger.

"Alright, we gotta take out as many of these cannons as we can, or we're not gonna get very far," Poe said as he flew around the Star Destroyer's underside.

They maneuvered around, then FN blasted at least four of the cannons, destroying them. Both of them cheered!

"Did you see that?! DID YOU SEE THAT?!" FN exclaimed with excitement.

"I saw it!" Poe replied. "Hey, what's your name?"

"FN-2187."

"F... What?"

"That's the only name they ever gave me."

"Well I ain't using it. F-N, huh? Finn, I'll call you Finn. Is that alright?"

"Finn... Yeah, Finn, I like that!"

"I'm Poe Dameron."

"Good to meet you, Poe."

"Good to meet you too, Finn."

Kylo Ren came to the main bridge as General Hux observed the dilemma.

"Is it the Resistance pilot?" Ren asked.

"Yes, and he had help, from one of our own. We're checking the registers to find out which Trooper it was," Hux said.

"The one from the village, FN-2187," Ren stated.

The ventral cannons fired tracking missiles at the rogue TIE fighter, but Finn shot one of them down as Poe flew them toward Jakku.

"Wait, where are we going?" Finn asked.

"Back to Jakku," Poe responded.

"What!? Are you insane?! We need to get out of here now!" Finn argued.

"I'm not leaving without my partner or my droid," Poe said.

"If we go back to Jakku, we die," Finn argued.

"They have a map that leads to Anakin Skywalker and his wife," Poe informed him, making Finn's eyes widen.

"Oh, you gotta be kidding m-!" Because of his complaining, the fighter was hit! It went spiraling out of control as it descended toward the planet!

"HANG ON! THIS IS GONNA BE A ROUGH LANDING!" Poe exclaimed.

Rey drove across the desert on her speeder. She was still crushed by Lor's death, nothing else on her mind until she heard something else.

She stopped the speeder when she heard what sounded like a fight and some droids calling for help.

She dismounted and saw none other than Teedo, the small alien creature riding a Luggabeast as he was arguing with a tall man with dirty blonde hair. The man was holding some kind of weapon at Teedo's throat, it looked like...a lightsaber...? The blade was a glowing green, with a smooth metallic look.

With the man were two droids, an astro droid and a BB unit.

"Listen, you shitty little bottom feeder, I'll give you one more chance to walk away with both of your legs still attached!" The man threatened in Teedo's native tongue.

"Teedo, enough! You're not getting his droids!" She shouted at the alien.

Teedo said something to her, which sounded obscene, but she ignored it.

"Bugger off, now!" she spat, finally getting the alien to leave.

The man extinguished his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt, "Thanks for that."

"No problem. That's Teedo, he wanted your droids for parts. He has no respect for anyone," Rey replied.

The man looked at her and his eyes lit up with recognition, "Hey, Lor told me about you."

Rey turned to face him, "You knew Lor?"

The man nodded sadly, "He mentioned he looked after you... I'm so sorry..." They both took a moment of silence to mourn him. Even the blue astro-droid whirled sadly.

"Thank you..." Rey said in gratitude, which confused the man.

"You understood him without a translator?" he asked.

"When you've lived most of your life here; you pick up some skills. Including how to speak droid," she responded. This made the man grin, which really added to his good looks.

"Beauty and brains, always great qualities for a woman to have," he said, making Rey blush a bit.

"Don't think you can charm me that easily," she scoffed. The man held his hands up defensively.

"Hey, I was paying you an honest compliment. You don't wanna accept it, that's YOUR loss," he said.

Rey rolled her eyes, sighing, "Sorry, that was harsh."

"It's okay. I'm Hawk, by the way," he held out his hand, which she shook.

"I'm Rey. Are you with the Resistance?" she asked, gesturing to his jacket.

"Yeah. Me and the droids are just waiting for my partner to return," he replied.

"Oh, I know about waiting," Rey said like she sympathized. "Well, when your partner shows up, you can leave. The Niima Outpost is that way, but stay off Kelvin Ridge. And stay away from the Sinking Fields up north or you'll drown in the sand."

She began to walk away, but Hawk and the droids followed her.

"Don't follow me," she told him.

"Come on, you clearly need a friend right now," Hawk said, making Rey turn to him sharply, looking irritated.

She was about to tell him to 'get lost', but the look in his green eyes stopped her from speaking. She groaned in frustration and sighed.

"Fine, come on."

Hawk smiled, "Thanks. Oh, this is R2-D2 and BB-8."

"Nice to meet you both," Rey said to the droids. BB-8 beeped in greeting and Artoo whirled.

But what ever he said must've been rude, since it made Rey gasp/scoff, "Excuse me?!"

"Artoo, watch your language!" Hawk scolded him. "Sorry about that."

"It's okay. He has a lot of attitude for a droid," Rey said.

"Tell me about it. You should see his best friend," Hawk chuckled.

I hope I didn't make Rey come off as too mean. But she always seemed like the kind of girl who wouldn't be charmed so easily.

R2-D2 is in early, instead of barely having any screen time.

But who is Hawk? Is he a new Jedi? Wait and see! ;)
