[Raven's POV]

For the third day the news coverage is still about my death. Everyone thinks I am dead. It feels kind of freeing but also, painful. I know I can't leave it like this. It would be messed up on so many levels if I let my friends think that I am dead. Knowing the pain and guilt that they must be going through right now. Jason plops a waffle in front of my face the steam from it rises up and I feel it on my face.

"Eat up!" He sing songs going back to the waffle iron to pour more batter on it. I smile and nod grabbing the syrup.

"What?" I ask as I feel his eye on me

"No peanut butter?" He asks, I arch an eyebrow at him

"Why would I put peanut butter on my waffle?" I ask he smiles and walks over to the pantry grabbing out a jar of peanut butter, he puts in front of me and grabs me a butter knife from one of his many kitchen drawers.

"Try it, it will change your life" He says, I scoff and roll my eyes as he heads back to the waffle iron right in time for his to start turning a little too brown, he doesn't mind. I have noticed he likes his waffles a little but more crispy. I however, like mine light and fluffy.

"Unless it can bring me back from the dead to my friends so I don't have to make up some cruel reason why I have been gone for about a week and a half I doubt it'll change much" I say, he laughs and shakes his head as he places his waffle on a plate and unplugs the iron. He scoots his plate next to mine on the mini breakfast bar this kitchen has that I never noticed.

"Well we can figure that out, but the peanut butter will make your life better I promise" He says grabbing it from me and scooping some out on his own waffle. It melts almost immediately and seeps into the tiny squares. I give in, grabbing it from him when he done. I spread it on one square of my four square waffle and pour the syrup over it, which I had planned to pour while my waffle was still hot but now I have wasted time by debating peanut butter, it's now only warm. I cut out a peanut butter filled square and take a bite waiting for it to change my life.

It actually kind of does, it's light saltiness with the sweet syrup and bread of the waffle do mix together quite nicely. I let out a please moan as I swallow the bite.

"Okay, yeah that is actually quite good" I admit, Jason laughs and shovels his waffle in his mouth. I eat slower than him but quickly paced. One thing about waffles in when you are done with them sometimes you just want to sleep. Jason grabs both of our plates and slide them over to the sink letting the running water take off the left over syrup and peanut butter.

"So have you thought of anything else to tell them? I mean I know it can't be easy to think about since they do know a lot about you and how your powers work" He says, I nod and chew on the inside of my cheek as I think of everything they do know about my powers.

"I mean I have an idea but it doesn't account for everything" I say he cocks his head to the side and waits for me to explain. I stand up and pace around the open space in the kitchen and dining room area, it's an open space divides only by an open space linear to where the door to the back yard goes.

"Well, I could always say that to heal myself I needed to get away from the medallion, do to that my soul self put me into a pocket dimension so that I could heal myself. They don't know any better and would probably believe that, only I am sure Robin has seen Conner as you said, which means he has seen what you did to him, which also means he knows I didn't do that. I don't fight like that. I don't break people's jaws. That's your thing" I explain, Jason nods and thinks to himself as well

"I think I have a cop out for that." He says

"Please do explain" I muse he smiles and walks to wear I pace grabbing my shoulders to keep me in place.

"Starfire saw me at the carnival...she had her eyes on me when the second shot when off but because the second shot went off and she saw I didn't fire it she left to go find out where it was coming from. So, we could say I have been tracking Conner, tracked him there saw you looking like a normal girl and just went off of him because even thieves have standards" Jason explains, I think about it and almost feel a slight panic knowing Star saw him.

"Oh you have standards?" I ask he chuckles and laughs

"Oh yeah, Like family owned businesses? I don't steal from there, hobby lobby and big businesses, fair game. Hobby Lobby is homophobic" He deadpans I playfully shove his shoulder

"No they aren't" I defend, he laughs

"No they are. Anyway, I also don't like Men hitting women. Especially what he did to you...that isn't okay." He says, I feel the seriousness in his voice take over.

"I'm sorry you saw me like that" I say he shakes his head and looks down at me, his green eyes meeting mine, for the first time in a while they seem well rested the dark half circles are gone and the iris is as bright as ever.

"Don't be sorry, I just was scared I would never see you again" He replies, the comment makes my heart beat a little faster but I don't show it.

"So what do you want me to do tell them that you beat the shit out of him and left him there and didn't bother me?" I ask he shrugs

"Or that by the time I was done beating him up your body had already transferred to the pocket thing" He answers, it isn't a bad story. Red X has played hero for us before, there is no telling why he wouldn't do it when he see's a guy who shot a girl twice standing over her body taking pictures. Which still sends shutters down my body.

We both fall into a silence thinking about that moment, I can only tell Jason is by the heap on anger waves I feel rolling towards me, the anger he feels towards Conner and that whole situation is suffocating. I don't know how he handles it with the pit inside of him. I would think that would drive him crazy. Maybe it can't with me right here, absorbing it all. He snaps out of his anger induced daze and puts a hand on shoulder opening his mouth to say something.

"Maybe we shouldn't tell him them at all" He suggests "Let me explain, this could be a chance for both of us to start over...go to Hawaii or something. Escape from everything start over. Just us"

I want to tell him yes to that, it would be amazing to not be a hero anymore, risk my life everyday for the Justice League to continue to not trust me because of my Demon half, to get away from the Love triangle I seem to be stuck in. Not that I have strong feelings for Robin anymore but seeing him and Starfire be a couple so close to us breaking up is just too hard. No doubt while I have been dead they have been cuddling up together for "Comfort". I don't want to be stuck in the middle of that. I take a deep breath and run my fingers through my already too long hair. God I need to cut it.

"Jay, I would love to do that. I just can't. Maybe not right now at least" I answer he nods and closes his eyes slightly

"Why?" He asks

I deeply inhale

"Because I can't just let them think I am dead. It's not fair. Whatever pain any of them are feeling is caused by thinking I am not alive anymore, it would be unfair of me to let that continue" I reply, he nods and rubs the sides of my shoulders. It is strange that this comfort me it could be that I have grown addicted so to speak of the pressure of his hands and how they feel on my body.

"I respect that" he answers, I sigh and lean my head against his shoulder. I take in his scent. A smell I never want to forget. When the lights go out I don't even notice until I feel Jason's body tense up. We pull away from each other and he looks out the window trying to see if he can spot anything else going out.

"It's not just us, the power seems to be out in the whole block" He says.

Who cut the lights?

[With the Titans]

The Titans arrive at the power plant where once again as escaped to try to rule the city or whatever. They really need to figure out how he is getting out of jail and drop him somewhere he cannot get back from. He has connected himself completely to the power grid letting the power from all over the city be cut off and travel into his newly improved suit. Robin stops ahead of the others extending his bo staff into his fighting stance. He for a moment feels like this will be as easy as it always is, he looks around the group and realizes he is missing one vital person for this mission.

Raven

"Stop Light!" He shouts, Dr. Light let's out maniacal laugh as he aims his light canon at Robin.

"Why? Are you gonna sick your DEAD DEMON ON ME?!" He scream firing his shot, Robin jumps out of the way as does everyone else as Beastboy transforms into his cheetah form. Cyborg aims his arm canon at Light firing a shot, it hits his armor but doesn't dent it much. He curses to himself and loads it up again hoping to amp up the power. Beastboy runs to Dr. Light snarling at his feet. aims his canon at Beastboy head on but isn't fast enough to our speed the Cheetah. Starfire hits him with one of her Starbolts and see's his steps falter slightly.

Robin throws a couple of his bird-a-rangs at him but each on bounce off and blow up on the floor causing more smoke than Cyborg or Robin could see through. Robin curses to himself and a moment goes by where he forgets Raven isn't here to scare him into compliance. Cyborg shoots another shot through the cloud of smoke and hears it hit but when the smoke clears 's armor is still intact. Beastboy turns into a gorilla grabbing Dr. Light up and trying to disconnect him from the power grid.

Dr. Light aims his cannon anywhere and fire's in grazes down the gorilla's back and he drops as his flesh sizzles and burns. He lets out roars of pain and swats into the power grid which sends a rush of electricity into his system which overloads it almost instantly. It sparks uncontrollably as fights to calm down his circuits.

"Damn damn damn!" He yells out as his power suit completely shuts down. The power to the city doesn't return just yet as Dr. Light crashes and passes out smashing his head against the cement. Robin handcuffs him and dials the police knowing they were already on their way. He can hear the sirens, their line goes dead. The power must be out for the whole city. They wait slightly longer for the police cars to roll up with the big van to transport people like .

Cyborg runs to Beastboy still in his gorilla state and places a hand on his knee. Beastboy looks down at him and turns back into his human self and collapses against Cyborg. Cyborg looks down Beastboy's back seeing the blistering burn that races once again down his back.

"We need to get him back to the tower!" Cyborg yells, Starfire nods and grabs him by the forearms flying hastily back to the tower. Cyborg and Robin race to their vehicles and drive as fast as they can back to the tower which seems to take forever.

As they get there Cyborg bursts through the infirmary doors to see Starfire already working on sedating the green boy. Even if he was out like a light from the searing pain going through the nerves on his back, they want to make sure he doesn't wake up while they work on his and panic turn into a T-rex. Cyborg works on cleaning the burn and getting any extra charred skin from his back as Starfire gives him an IV of fluids.

Robin stares, grabbing some gauze from one of the shelves and placing it on the table. Cyborg turns to him and glares.

"I think you should leave" Cyborg says, Robin shakes his head.

"I am going to leave Beastboy here, I am staying." He argues, Cyborg shakes his head as Starfire busies herself with applying heart monitor stickers to Beastboy's chest. She sets him back down on the bed carefully and turns on the machine.

"Don't you see Robin? This is your fucking fault everything is your fucking fault. You shouldn't be here, we don't want you here. Now leave before we lose another member of this team." Cyborg demands heading back to work on Beastboy. Robin shakes his head stubbornly and in disbelief. How could they possibly be trying to blame every single thing on him, he was willing to let them blame Raven on him since he has partly felt the blame himself, however Beastboy getting hurt this way happens almost every time they face .

"This isn't my fault. You want to blame me for Raven then fine do that but do not go around blaming every single injury on this team on me" He demands Cyborg scoffs and shakes his head. Cyborg slams the metal instrument on the metal tray he is using and turns his head back to Robin.

"We don't have an in home healer because Raven isn't here Robin." Cyborg spits as he hastily resumes his work on Beastboy. He let's his other hand scan Beastboy for any life threatening problems. His arm beeps and he examines his scans.

"That doesn't mean this is my fault!" Robin yells. Starfire steps away from the bed and locks eyes with Robin, anger making her shake where she stands. They need to focus on saving Beastboy and they can't do that with Robin here.

"You need to leave" She says sternly, he stares at her in surprise. He expected this from Cyborg but not from Starfire. He knew she was mad at him but enough to want him to leave? How does everything come down to being his fault. She is the one who chose to end things with him, if anything he should be mad at her.

"I am not going anywhere" Robin grinds out.

"Do not make me force you" Starfire pleads, her voice doesn't come out as a plead, it comes out as a threat and she did mean it as such, however she really didn't want to have to. She felt mean and that is something she never wants to feel is mean. He shakes his head at her firmly planting himself in the room.

"I am not going anywhere" He spits, she sighs.

Starfire looks behind herself at Cyborg, he nods at her and she faces Robin again grabbing him by the shoulders. She grips him strongly and flies him though the towers and outside, he tries to release her grip but she is much too strong for him. She flies him to the opposite side of town where the power is just now turning back on. She drops in on the cement sidewalk of a neighborhood and stares him down.

"DO NOT COME BACK" She demands sternly before taking off and leaving him there. He kicks the wall out of anger and lets out a frustrated yell. Why did everything start going to shit when he sent Raven to that college.

Starfire flies back to the tower wiping a single tear from her face, she hated treating him this way she hates treating anyone this way, but she can't deny that all the problems they have had in the team so far have included him and his choices, She walks back into the infirmary watching Cyborg work on Beastboy's back, she helps grabbing the gauze that Robin set on the table and placing it in places where Cyborg has already placed the burn ointment. He placed it in a thick layer while also placing drops of vitamin E oil underneath to help with the scarring and healing, something Raven taught them a while ago before she had gotten so good at healing.

Once they finish his back they both lean back with a sigh and begin to feel the affects of the battle. Their bodies hurt from the rolling and the hurrying.

"Where did you take him?" Cyborg asks

"Other side of the Town" Starfire answers feeling more guilt for doing so.

"Good, hopefully he won't bother us for a while give us some time to deal with anything else we need to do with Beastboy without him standing around being useless" Cyborg says Starfire puts a hand on his metallic shoulder and bites her lip nervously.

"Did we do the correct thing?" She asks furrowing her brow, Cyborg shrugs

"We can't ignore all the trouble he has caused. You did help with the whole sleeping with him thing, but you didn't owe Raven loyalty, he did. He told you it was okay to date him after they broke up. He just makes one bad choice after another and I won't let it take another one of my friends from me." Cyborg says, Starfire nods in understanding. Robin did tell her those things, but she should have gone to Raven to ask before doing it. All she felt is guilt and regret for that being the last thing Raven felt from them. She wanted to go back and do it again. She wanted her best friend back.
