Hestia looked at the hearth and prayed, "We need you brother. Please come home."

As soon as she prayed to her brother, there was a flash of light in the middle of the throne room.

"Children, how many times have I said? That I don't like it, when you fight amongst yourself." The voice that all the elder gods missed said.

Their brother had arrived. Perseus was home.

Third Person Pov

Perseus sure knew how to make an entrance. After not showing any sign of existence for millennia, he just decided to pop in and chastise his siblings. How much of a dick move was that?

When the light cleared out, there he stood. The firstborn son of Kronos and Rhea, but there was something different about him. His usual disciplined attire was changed to something a typical teenager would wear. A tight t-shirt that showed his muscles, his jet black hair was as messy as ever. He opened his golden eyes, the same eyes that cared for them millennia ago; the same eyes that held such love, and kindness towards them; their hearts ached for it. He was in his 15 year old form. Overall, he could make a woman drool just by his looks.

Zeus, getting over his shock, ran and hugged his brother for all he was worth. Followed soon, by the rest of Perseus' siblings.

Demeter hugged her elder brother, and cried. She had missed the days she spent with her brother. He was genuinely interested in what she had to say, or about her domains. While many ignored her ramblings, because of her domains of Agriculture, and Harvest. Her brother actually acknowledged her strength, and responsibilities as the Goddess of Sacred Laws.

Hera loved her elder brother's presence. When Zeus would go whoring around, Perseus was the one to console her. He always tried to get Zeus to be more loyal towards her. She unfolded all her insecurities, and bitterness to him. Yet he never thought any less of her.

Hades, who happened to be present at the meeting, was delighted to see his big brother. When Zeus had decided to banish Hades from Olympus, he tried to reason with the King of Gods. If Perseus had ordered Zeus would've lifted his order, but the firstborn of Kronos never wanted to force his siblings into something they didn't want to do. Hades never held it against his older brother, and loved him dearly.

Poseidon, had missed Perseus. Sharing a domain of sea, he felt closer to his elder brother than anyone else on the council. They would always argue about which kind of aquatic animal was the best. Poseidon himself was an easygoing God; he could just sit back and relax with his brother. They shared a relationship where people could mistake Perseus for Poseidon's father. In some ways he was the father Poseidon wished he had.

Zeus was just glad his brother was home. He knew he had problems; sometimes his paranoia could get the better of him. His elder brother was always there to help him in such situations. Perseus always cared for him. He knew of the fear Zeus held. The fear of turning into his father, the Titan Lord Kronos. Perseus made sure that his little brother didn't fall into his father's steps.

Hestia, the sweet kind Hestia. Always the hope for her family, she missed her elder brother dearly. He was always the one to ignite hope in her. She was not one of the Gods with fancy domains, so they ignored her. She faded into the background, but her brother made sure to make her feel seen. She was his favorite, he had told her himself.

Hestia sobbed as she held her brother for the first time in millennia. She broke apart from the hug and slugged him right across the face, leaving a nasty bruise. The Olympians were shocked, they had never seen the peaceful Goddess get violent, ever.

Perseus held his bruised jaw in his hand, looking shocked at Hestia with wide eyes. He couldn't believe the heat his little sister packed in her punch. Even in her nine year old form, she hit him hard enough to leave a bruise.

Hestia grabbed his jaw and healed the bruise with her powers of the hearth. "Why haven't you contacted anyone till yet?" She screamed at him.

"My dear Hestia," the words were like nectar to Hestia's soul. Oh! How she had missed being called that by her brother. "It wasn't time for me to return home. But I held my promise didn't I? I said I will return when you will call upon me in need, and I have returned."

Hestia, and the elder gods nodded. Perseus never broke his promise, if he had power over it. Hestia went by to sit by her hearth, leaving her brother alone in the center of the throne room.

The Lord of Fates took a look around the throne room. He couldn't believe how much Olympus had changed; the last he had seen was in Ancient Greece. He looked at the faces of his family; nothing much had changed. He noticed them staring at him. He smiled and conversed with them.

"Hephaestus my boy, by the creator you have grown. Made any new things lately? You know how much I love the work of your hands." Perseus said smiling, as he appreciated the blacksmith's work. Hephaestus smiled, and grunted in response. It seemed like nothing had changed with his Uncle. He was still the caring easygoing god he knew.

"Ares, now there's a warrior I like, defeated anyone in the spar lately?" Perseus asked his nephew, smiling. Ares wasn't the most temperamental of Gods; Perseus still very much loved him.

"Aphrodite as beautiful as ever my dear. Hope you went after what you desired." Perseus called out to the Goddess of Love. Aphrodite turned a little gold on her cheek, at the praise from him. Even if she was the Goddess of beauty, she knew that Perseus maybe, the best looking being ever born. His praise meant a lot to her; the palaver in his words could melt anyone's heart; and she knew what desire of her he was talking about. She loved Hephaestus, but her husband wasn't one to show any affections ever. She knew he loved her too, but wasn't good at showing him.

Perseus turned to Hermes, "Dear boy, have you sat down in ages? You look so tired." He said in concern as he looked at his nephew. Hermes smiled at his uncle, not even an hour after being present, and he could see his problems instantly. After being assured by Hermes that he was fine. He turned to Athena.

"Well, you look like you have been having headaches listening to the idiots my dear. Maybe after this you should sit back and relax, read a book, okay?" Perseus mothered the Wisdom Goddess. Athena smiled back at her uncle; he had been more of a father figure to her, than Zeus ever could.

Perseus turned towards Apollo, "My dear Apollo, I wish I could ease your pain boy. I can see that the burden is getting too heavy to bear." He said to his nephew in a sad tone. People were startled at the insinuation of his concern. Before they could ask anything, he turned towards Artemis.

Artemis breath hitched at her throat, when the golden eyes of her ex-husband turned to her. Emotions churned inside her like bits of glasses in Kaleidoscope. Maybe he would still be angry at her betrayal; he would hate her now. Or maybe he had forgiven her and wanted her back. She knew that she wanted him back at any cost. Like before, when he loved her.

"Artemis, my dear, how are you? How is the hunt?" Percy acknowledged her, smiling, before turning to Dionysus. He didn't even spare her a second glance. He treated her like the rest of her siblings. Like she wasn't worth more to him, than the world at one time. She wanted to break down crying; there was no love in his eyes for her. She missed the way he used to look at her, like she was the reason he woke up every day.

"Dionysus, my boy, what happened to you? You look like you're suffering." Perseus asked in concern for his nephew. Perseus eyes glowed golden before he gasped. His face contorted into one of anger.

"You're being forced away from your domain. Who did it?" He asked growling. Zeus gulped, he had forgotten how his brother installed fear in the hearts of everyone, when he was angry.

"It was me," Zeus answered, waiting for the inevitable explosion, he knew was coming. However, he looked to see his eldest brother looking at him with sad eyes.

"Little brother, forcing a God away from his domain is a life sentence. You yourself are feeling weak right now, being separated from your weapon of power. Imagine, how your son might be feeling. You have taken his domain of power away from him. If you do not undo your punishment now, he will fade in a few decades." Perseus said in the same kind voice.

Zeus, and the rest of Council's eyes widened at the information Perseus provided. Everyone turned to glare at Zeus, who rushed to lift Dionysus' ban.

Dionysus sat straighter and summoned a chalice of wine and took a sip. The result was immediate; he looked younger, and more powerful than he had in a while. He sent a silent thank you to his uncle, who winked back at him.

"What did you mean, when you talked about Apollo's burden earlier brother?" Poseidon asked, he quite liked Apollo. Despite being a nuisance, Apollo was one of the Gods who got along with most of them.

"He bears the burden of prophecy, because of his domains. He is always plagued by them, the visions of every horrible thing to come. He feels the pain and betrayal caused by lies all around the world, because of his domain of Truth. I had told him to share his problems with someone long ago, but I see he didn't." Perseus said with a disappointed gaze at Apollo.

Apollo shrunk back to his throne. Artemis looked at her brother with wide eyes, "Why have you never told me this brother?" She asked, frowning, sad that her brother kept something this big from her.

Apollo scoffed at her, "Now I'm a brother to you huntress?" He hissed at her, and she flinched. "All this time, after we got out of Delos, you didn't even spare a glance towards me. You haven't called me brother in millennia, and you haven't been my sister for a long time. Your pride always blinded you. It seems you have a problem of not recognizing who loves you in time huntress."

Artemis recoiled at his words. She had really pushed those who cared about her away. She had pushed her brother away in her pride. She had pushed Perseus away, the only person who loved her without being obligated to as blood. The only two people, who loved her unconditionally, had been treated and cast away by her. Now here she was, seeing her own brother get consoled by Athena. She felt despair like no other.

"Apollo, son don't let your anger speak right now. I know you're hurt by your sister's action, believe me. I know how you feel more than anyone; but one thing you never do is push family away. A God's life is eternal and unending, without family it becomes unbearable. Don't push your sister away son, talk with her." Perseus tried to explain to his nephew the importance of family. He may have been away from his siblings for a long time; still nothing was more important to him than them.

Hestia smiled at her brother. The utmost regard, and respect he had for family was something she appreciated greatly as the Goddess of family.

Apollo nodded at his uncle's words. When Perseus spoke people tended to listen; he had the certain wisdom that made you think about what was more important. Sure, Apollo was hurt; he was angry at his sister, but her uncle's words made him remember the promise he had made to himself long ago. That he would never let Artemis come to any harm, if he had the choice.

Artemis cursed herself for turning away Perseus' affection. Even after her betraying him, he made sure that she wasn't being pushed away by her brother. Oh, how she wished she could hold her ex-husband down, and tell him that she loved him. She looked at the finger, where once her wedding ring was placed. Ever since that accursed day, she had felt like a part was missing from her. It was funny, how things that seemed unimportant, were worth more than anything to her.

When the commotion died down, Zeus said, "Where have you been brother?"

"Well, I spent the first century with our mother." Perseus began his tail; the elder gods smiled at their mother's mention. "After that I contacted Chaos, and had been training with her. I fought on a lot of different planets. Got some more domains by her, then 50 years ago I returned to Earth; and have been living in New York ever since." Perseus declared, much to the shock of them.

"Wait what were you doing here, in New York for the last five decades? Surely, we would've noticed." Demeter called to her brother.

Perseus smiled at her mischievously, "As of the last few years I was working in a candy store at the counter. Before that I worked as an educator of Greek literature in an elementary school, and I may have intentionally hidden myself from you," Perseus replied to them.

The council blinked at him, thinking they had misheard him. "Did you say you were working at a counter in a candy store?" Hera, the Queen of Heaven, asked the question that everyone held.

Perseus smiled at his sister, "Yes dear sister, I have been working normal jobs for the last five decades."

Zeus frowned at his brother, "Why? You are a royalty, an honorary King of Gods. You are maybe the most powerful God alive. What need do you have to work as a mere mortal?" He honestly couldn't believe why his eldest brother would want to work some mortal jobs beneath him.

Perseus smiled at his family, "You know little brother, I had never desired power or luxury. I am quite content with the simple things. Working as a mortal has made me appreciate them more. There is grace in their life. The way they wake up everyday and struggle for their loved ones, there is beauty in that. You know I never wanted nothing more than just to be able to love someone, and live a simple life."

His six siblings smiled at him. Respecting that their brother was a simple being, wanting nothing more than a simple life. He wanted to love someone to the fill of his heart, but he didn't get that. So he reached for something he could get.

Artemis felt her heart clench in pain. He had wanted all those things with her; she was far too prideful and ignorant to see it.

"So you have any little demigod running around Uncle?" Hermes asked teasingly; everyone else smiled at the question, too. Except for Artemis, she didn't want him to be with anyone else.

"No I don't have any children yet. You know I am the God of Loyalty, I can't sleep around with anyone without being devoted to them. However, I can feel Love in my future again. I cannot see who yet, the fates are being childish and hiding them from me." Perseus pouted at the end. His family smiled at seeing him act childishly. Artemis felt an ugly feeling in her chest at the thought of Perseus being with someone else.

"What do you mean them?" Hera asked, smirking at him, already having an idea of what he meant. Hello! The Goddess of marriage, of course, she would get it first.

"When I was living with Chaos on her planet, I met with the Primordial council. Eros and Phanes, informed me that I'm meant to be with Six women who will love me wholly, and in turn I would love them the same." Perseus replied, getting a little gold at the end. Hey! He maybe the eldest of the seven of them, but discussing his love life with his younger siblings, was not something he was comfortable with.

Everyone except Artemis chuckled, seeing the Lord of Time get flustered over something like his love life.

Artemis didn't know how she felt about this. She wanted nothing more than to be with Perseus, but on the other hand, she didn't want to share him with someone else. That was if he accepted her, something she wasn't all that hopeful for.

"So you two are waging war against each other, am I right?" Perseus asked his brothers, in a disappointed tone. Poseidon, and Zeus nodded at their brother, shameful of their action.

"How about, I issue a quest, and join the quest myself to get your bolt back?" Perseus said, shocking everyone.

"A God cannot join quests brother, you know that." Zeus tilted his head to look at his brother.

"Any other God yes, but I'm not bounded by the ancient laws, you know that brother. I'm the Lord of Fates, they cannot bind me by any laws." Perseus informed everyone of his leeway in the ancient laws. They all nodded at him.

"If that is all I believe that some of you have work to attend to." Perseus questioned his brother, the King of God.

"Meeting dismissed," Zeus announced, and flashed away.

Only Artemis and Perseus remained in the throne room.

Artemis took a deep breath and asked, "May I speak with you in Private Lord Perseus?"

So do you think Artemis should be forgived? If yes should she be allowed to be one of Perseus' partner?
