For the Can You Make It To The End? Challenge on the HPFC.

Lee looked warily at the folded piece of parchment in his hands. He turned it over in his hands, waiting patiently for the girl in front of him to explain herself.

"For your upcoming Quidditch commentary," Daphne said. "I'll give you twenty galleons if you slip a few of these lines in."

Intriguing. Lee opened the parchment carefully, his mouth dropping in shock as he took in each scrawl.

"Creative," he mused. "What did Peregrine Derrick ever do to you, Greengrass?"

"He broke my little sister's heart," she responded, the disdain in her voice evident. "Miserable piece of shit."

"Ah. Well, clever as they are, a few colourful insults during a Quidditch game hardly seems punishment enough for that."

Daphne frowned, her hand reaching up to brush through her blonde curls in frustration. "Look, I said I'd pay you for the trouble, didn't I?"

"I didn't say I wouldn't do it," Lee said, grinning. "I'm just suggesting that we also do something else."

"You have some ideas?"

"I might."

"Huh." Daphne looked thoughtful for a moment, before returning his smile. She pulled out the chair next to him and took a seat. "All right then. Have at it."

"Now?"

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Did you have other plans?"

"Uh. No. Of course not."

A lie. Fred and George would be waiting for him in the common room. But he was sure they would understand. The opportunity to plan a prank with a pretty girl, after all, was one that he most definitely could not pass up.
