"I had met her 6 years ago, she was just starting a business of her own. I asked for work to her, and she soon realized I was a God. I told her that I was away from my family and she started caring after me as a mother despite being way younger than me. She said that Perseus was a mouthful and asked if I had a nickname. Aphrodite used to call me Percy so she started to use that name too, and I decided to use her maiden name as my own. Thus Percy Jackson was born." I told her and she nodded in understanding.

"Why are we waiting for a bus? You could just flash us to wherever we need to go." She asked in confusion.

"No we cannot, some rules even I cannot break. A quest is meant to be hard, and we can't take shortcuts." Both of them nodded at my explanation.

All three of us were silent for some time. The quest had started and I would have to encounter Kronos soon.

Just the thought of my father had my entire essence burning with anger, and something that I had not felt for a long time.

Fear

Third Person Pov

"I will disguise my aura to that of a demigod, so we don't get spotted." Perseus whispered to his companions as they took a seat at the back of the bus. Annabeth and Grover nodded at him.

"Percy last night Malcolm informed us that you are married to Artemis. Is that true?" Annabeth asked, curiosity getting the better of her. Perseus smiled, hearing her use his nickname; he had also forgotten about the ADHD of demigods. They couldn't sit still and in silence.

"I was married to Artemis, and forced at that too; about two millennia ago I asked Hera for a divorce, and left the world of Gods." Perseus said to her in a strained voice. The hurt was still there even after millennia apart.

"If I heard correctly you are the most powerful of the Gods. How can someone force you into a marriage?" Annabeth tilted her head in confusion. She couldn't comprehend how someone could force a powerful being such as Perseus into marriage.

"It had been done before to Aphrodite too. There is a Goddess whose power is only second to me. Can you tell who it was?" Perseus teased, trying to get the daughter of Athena to think. He was a millennia old God, always ready to teach others something.

"Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. She was forced into marriage with Hephaestus." Annabeth answered with her chin high. Seriously, did Perseus think she wouldn't know something this known to everyone? Though she didn't know how the Goddess was forced. Grover got

"Correct, when Aphrodite walked out of the sea, she was naked. Men all around both mortal and godly drooled at the sight of her, and the women hated her. Zeus feared that her looks would drive war among men, so he decided to have her married by force. Hera devised a plan to reconcile with her son, so she made the most unappealing God marry the most beautiful woman in creation. Aphrodite was revolted by Hephaestus' looks, but knew she had to accept Zeus' decision." Perseus said in a harsh tone. He never liked forcing someone to do something.

"You weren't lusting after her?" Annabeth asked baffled, she had not heard of someone who could resist the Goddess of Love.

Perseus laughed at her question, "I have been alive for more than 7500 years, and am still a virgin. I am the God of Loyalty. If I was to lust after women, I would've done it a long ago."

Annabeth smiled, she liked a man who could resist temptation. Perseus was the first God she had heard of who wasn't ruled by his desire.

"So how were you forced into marriage?" Annabeth grilled him further. So far, Perseus has managed to evade any personal answers. She noticed that his face had morphed into serious.

Grover noticed it, too; he couldn't read a God's emotion, but he could tell it was upsetting to Perseus.

"When Artemis and Apollo were brought to Olympus, they didn't know anything about the Godly world. Hestia and I cared for them, we raised them. Soon though I saw how strong willed and determined Artemis was. I fell in love with her, my siblings and the council knew about it. Now Artemis was and is the most beautiful Goddess after Aphrodite. She was constantly harassed by other Gods and men that wanted to court her, and her being a virgin goddess made her all the more desirable to others," Perseus took a deep breath here.

"One day someone managed to bound her in celestial bronze to rape her. She prayed to her father, brother and me. Apollo and I immediately flashed to her location and saved her. Zeus after that decided it would be better if she was married, then maybe people would stop harassing her. However, Artemis made it pretty clear that she would not give up her maidenhood to her husband. Not so surprisingly no one wanted to marry her after listening to her agreement. Then the council turned to the only God that would truly respect Artemis' decision and honor it. They decided to appeal to the God's kind nature and manipulated him into the marriage." Perseus gritted out, he loved his family, but he was still bitter about suffering in a loveless marriage.

"You," Annabeth softly said. She felt her heartbreak at the thought of someone manipulating someone as Perseus. She may not have known him for long, but she could tell he was the nicest person she had ever met.

Perseus nodded at her, looking outside the windows of the bus.

"Why did the two of you divorce?" She inquired further, pushing him for more answers.

"I wanted to talk with Artemis, about something I don't even remember. I went to visit her at her hunt, she wasn't there. I thought that she may have been on a hunting trip, so I flashed myself to where I could sense her presence. There I found her kissing someone, her arms were around his neck. His arms were wrapped around her waist. I found her cheating on me with Orion, son of Poseidon. In return Orion raped one of her hunters, and tried to rape her," Perseus growled at the son of Poseidon's name. His canines enlarged and popped out of his mouth.

Annabeth couldn't believe what she was hearing. The virgin goddess cheated on her husband with someone that turned out to be a rapist? Whatever respect she had for her vanished.

Grover felt his heart break. One of the goddesses he admired, who all Satyr admired, did something like this?

They spent some time chatting and getting to know each other further when Grover whimpered in his seat.

"What is it dear satyr?" Perseus asked him. Grover looked scared out of his mind; he looked where the satyr was looking to see three familiar faces.

The furies

Annabeth tensed in her seat and her fist clenched. Perseus figured that they had past interactions with the furies. Which probably wasn't all that happy.

The furies reached them and bowed slightly to Perseus. Annabeth and Grover's eyes widened, the furies bowing to someone other than Hades was unheard of.

"What is it girls?" Perseus asked them smirking.

"Lord Hades has something to discuss with you, something he couldn't tell you in front of the other Gods." Alecto answered him. If Annabeth wasn't hallucinating she saw the furies smiling back.

"I will speak with him when I reach west." He answered, and the furies nodded and flew out at the next stop.

"So what did they do to you?" Perseus turned to Annabeth, as this time he was the one asking questions.

"Not here, I will tell you later." She answered looking around. Perseus nodded, not willing to push her into telling something she wasn't ready for.

Suddenly, Perseus stiffened. He turned to look at his two companions. His eyes were glowing as he sensed the upcoming danger. "Something is going on, be ready for a fight."

The demigod and Satyr nodded at him. Annabeth brandished her bronze dagger, ready to attack. Grover took out his reed pipes; he didn't know what help he could be, but he wasn't going to run away.

That's when Perseus saw the threat, a spear, a godly spear. It was covered in electricity, and headed straight his way. Aiming for the bus, Perseus knew that neither, the mortals nor his companions would be able to survive the strike.

Time slowed down around the bus, as Perseus transported everyone out of the bus. Unfortunately, even the Lord of Time hadn't had enough time to get out.

The spear hit the bus with such force, that an explosion the size of 2 blocks occurred. Everything in the immediate vicinity vaporized. A blazing heat of inferno rose, melting away the metals.

Annabeth and Grover, who were just out of danger, saw this and screamed, as they ran towards the wreckage. Perseus hadn't been able to get out; he saved them, but probably died himself. They ignored the heat radiating off the blast zone and looked for the God that had sort of become a friend to them.

They saw movement in the middle of the carnage, as The Destroyer stood. Annabeth felt her heart clench in agony, as Grover nearly fainted at the sight of him. Perseus' whole body was burned; the skin was melting off his body. Annabeth didn't know that a God could even suffer such pain, but she saw that his radius bone was visible. Every inch of his body was scarred in burnt flesh.

Perseus stood with a shaky leg; someone grasped his shoulder to steady him, and he gasped at the pain. He saw that Annabeth was holding him, so he didn't fall on his ass. "Ambrosia," he croaked out. Annabeth felt lucky that she had a square of Ambrosia in her pocket, because their supplies went boom along with the bus. She handed the ambrosia to him. Perseus took the ambrosia and chewed it slowly. Even his jaws were hurting, chewing at the food.

Perseus felt enough of his power return to him to summon a bucket of nectar, and some clothes on him. He looked at Annabeth and asked her to pour the nectar over him.

Annabeth nodded and slowly, slowly poured the godly drink over him. She saw amazed as his skin started healing, just enough for him to move around. Perseus felt some of his bones mending, and sighed in relief.

"How are you hurt this much? Just an explosion shouldn't have hurt you this much." Annabeth asked, checking around his body for anymore injuries.

"Yeah it wouldn't, but this was an attack directly by a weapon of power." Perseus answered, as he summoned his sword.

It was the most magnificent sword Annabeth had ever seen. A Greek Xiphos, pure silver. She had seen the Olympian's weapons of power, but they were nothing compared to his sword. The sword was pulsing with power and old magic.

"Weapon of Power? Was it a God's or Titan's?" She asked, believing it may have been a Titan. Why would a God attack their own brethren?

"Not a God or Titan. It was a Giant's weapon of power, born to oppose Zeus' the King of Gods. It was Poryphyrion, King of Giants." Perseus growled, how many more of their enemies were rising that he wasn't aware of. Just what kind of war was coming.

A booming laugh was heard as Poryphyrion appeared in front of them. A forty feet tall giant with celestial bronze armor; dark green hair braided. With a twenty feet long spear in his hands, he looked deadly enough to oppose the King of Gods.

Perseus turned to Annabeth, "Stay back take Grover with you. A Giant can only be killed by a God and demigod combine. When I ask, you come and attack him got it?" Perseus said in a hurry, as he looked back at the Giant King.

Annabeth nodded and scampered off further, with Grover on her tail.

"You remember me Perseus? I am flattered." Poryphyrion chuckled at him.

"Yeah it isn't easy to forget a 40ft tall piece of shit. Tell me does your mother know you are out of the pit playing with forces beyond your power?" Perseus sassed him; he may have been 8000 years old, but he was still childish at times.

Poryphyrion laughed at him, "My mother awakens from her slumber. Just a couple of years more and the reign of Giants will begin. I will take the Queen of Gods as my wife, and make her bear my children. You will see the might of Gaea."

The clouds over them darkened, and thunder cackled. Perseus smirked, it seemed his brother was watching, and he didn't like the way Poryphyrion spoke of his wife. He decided to push the giant further, "Yeah my brother Poseidon told me all about the might of Gaea, when she was down on her knees, sucking his cock."

As expected, Poryphyrion roared in rage and charged at him.

On Olympus

The Olympians were gathered at the throne room to look over Perseus' quest. They watched the explosion with wide eyes. When Perseus emerged from the destruction with a burned body, everyone got teary-eyed.

None more so than Hestia and Artemis. The latter of which screamed at her brother to go help Perseus. However, Zeus denied her request. He knew no matter what happened, his brother wouldn't like people interfering without his permission.

The council gasped as the Giant King came into view. Their eyes were wide when they listened to their conversation and heard that the earth mother too, was rising.

Zeus felt rage course through him when he heard Poryphyrion talking about Hera as his own. No one touches his queen; the clouds darkened over Poryphyrion to show that he was watching.

"Yeah my brother Poseidon told me all about the might of Gaea, when she was down on her knees, sucking his cock." Perseus' incredible sarcasm was heard.

Poseidon flushed a deep gold color, as the rest of the Gods started laughing. The Goddesses had a smile on their faces; leave it to Perseus to mock his enemies midst battle.

Back to the Questers

Poryphyrion tried everything to take down Perseus. He swiped, slashed, and tried to step on him to no avail. Perseus was toying with him, making small cuts to the Giant's body here and there. He kicked the Giant in his chest and made him fall back. He slowed time and readjusted Poryphyrion's spear so the Giant falls on it.

The spear went straight through the Giant's rib, peeking out the other side.

Grover and Annabeth were watching in awe. They had not seen Perseus fight before; hell they hadn't even heard of him fighting before. It was a sight to behold.

Poryphyrion stood up and tried to fight, but he wasn't able to land a single blow on the God. When Perseus felt enough, he slashed a large cut at the Giant's calf and drove his sword through.

Poryphyrion wailed in agony as he was dropped to his knee. He tried to escape through the earth, but Perseus saw this and created an earthquake, that Poseidon had taught him to do. The ground rumbled and the escape plan of the Giant King failed.

"Brother now," Perseus shouted, and an arc of pure lightning shot through the sky. The biggest bolt of electricity Annabeth had ever seen struck the Giant King. Their surroundings smelled of ozone; they could smell electricity, clean, and pungent.

Poryphyrion fell on his back again; this time he made no move to stand. Perseus looked at Annabeth and nodded. She ran to the Giant and drove her dagger through the side of his ribs. Poryphyrion's body dissolved into a shower of golden sands as his remains went to the pit.

"That was fun," Perseus said, looking over at them. Annabeth gaped at him; his body still hadn't healed fully, and this was fun for him? She thought it was one of those idiotic boyish things girls wouldn't understand. She ran at him and hugged him, blushing red at being in close contact with the God, but still kept hugging him.

Grover, who had finally seen enough, collapsed. Can't blame the satyr for getting lightheaded after all that.

Perseus wrapped his hands around Annabeth as he looked over the carnage that had been caused.

'I do not like what this means for the future.' He thought to himself.
