A story about my Oc and the people of Yashahime. I have not seen most of the show and this will be a made up story. Forgive me if I portray any characters wrongly.

CHAPTER ONE

A lone shadow crouched against the wind, atop a grassy hill over looking a small village. Ears were laid back and tails whipping furiously in the howling gales. A smirk was upon the unknown figure, showing sharp fangs.

"At last. I have found the village. Now all it's glorious food will be mine."

Reasui quivered eagerly, cracking her long fingers and showing her claws. "Yah!" She hollered as she leapt high into the air and landed upon a hut, sniffing the air. "Hehe~ This one's a jackpot!"

She jumped down and tore the cloth covering the doorframe down. Inside there was tied up cloths full of rice. A cookpot was steaming with boiled crab and spices. Reasui's stomach growled.

"Don't mind if I do!" She took the ladle on top of the cookpot and scooped a huge portion of broth into her mouth.

Her furry rouge red ears twitched, and her tails bristled. "Pah!" She spat out the broth, rubbing her mouth. "What idiot made this crap? It's so bitter!"

Something rustled behind her and she whipped around, and sand yellow eyes with slitted pupils narrowed. A small demon stood behind her, wearing a red haori with a white shirt and had black hair. Her ears were pointed on the sides of her head. Her brown eyes were full of suspicion. "Hey! Who said you could sample my food and call it crap!?"

Reasui dropped the ladle, baring her fangs as she backed up against the wall. "Is this your food? Can you even cook?"

The other demon crossed her arms. "Bah. You wouldn't have had to say that if you didn't decide to taste test it. I don't see the need of you criticizing me."

Reasui snarled, but her ears drooped in defeat. "Argh! Y-you have a point."

The other demon held out a hand. "Well then. The name's Moroha! What's yours?"

Reasui stared at the hand like it just grew crab legs. "Um."

Moroha grabbed her hand, making Reasui bristle with anger. "What are you doing?" She stopped though as Moroha shook her hand up and down. "It's called a handshake!"

Reasui blinked. "Handshake." She repeated.

"My name is Reasui. I'm a kitsune, if you couldn't tell." She raised one of her tails and curled it around Moroha.

"This is how my kind say hello."

Moroha let go of her hand and cuddled up to the tail. "IT'S SO SOFT!"

Reasui twitched. "Um, thank you?"

Moroha stood up, looking embarrassed. "Ahem. Excuse me."

She left the doorway, putting the cloth back up as she left.

Reasui was left with the food in the now empty hut.

She glanced back at the cookpot and wrinkled her nose. Blowing out the fire, she quietly sneaked out the doorway, watching Moroha pace around a tree muttering to herself.

Reasui stared at her, eyes wide with hesitant wonder. 'Moroha huh? Perhaps she's worthy of being a friend…'
