Red-faced and fuming Ron entered the Gryffindor Common room after dinner. The first years were frightened of the look on his face and dodged away from his path as he walked grumpily towards the couch in front of the fireplace, where Harry, Hermione and Ginny were sitting. They looked up at him when they heard him coming.
"I can't believe that Loony Lovegood," Ron exclaimed when he got to the front of the couch.
Harry, Hermione and Ginny all had to suppress a grin. Ron, with his emotional depth of a teaspoon, didn't have a clue that Luna harboured a crush on him and he was constantly complaining about her doing something odd to him, when she was actually trying to get him to notice her. For instance, around Christmas she had charmed him blue all over, because "Nargles, which usually infest mistletoes, don't like blue." Unfortunately for her, he hadn't got the clue about mistletoes and had been quite mad at her.
"Oh, what did she do now?" Harry asked and he couldn't fully hide the mirth in his voice, but luckily Ron didn't notice it.
"She kissed me!" he blurted.
"And?" Ginny asked.
"What do you mean? She kissed me. In the great hall when I was just leaving and there were still people around," Ron explained.
"So what? A kiss is just a kiss, after all," Hermione interjected.
"That's crazy, Hermione, you can't just go on kissing people like that. I'd like to see how you'd react if someone just kissed you out of the blue," he argued and missed the mischievous smile on Harry's lips – but he didn't miss it when Harry suddenly kissed Hermione on the lips.
"Bloody hell!"
After a while Harry drew back and there was a dreamy smile on Hermione's face, but soon she snapped out of it. "There," she said, looking triumphantly at Ron.
Ron was shocked to silence for a while before finding his voice. "But that's... different. You're best friends and have known each other for years. Besides the way you've been all touchy-feely lately, it was just a matter of time when – Gah!" he stopped suddenly as Hermione received another kiss. But this time it was from Ginny.
Hermione was briefly shocked, but soon closed her eyes and reciprocated. When they ended the kiss, they saw Ron staring at them mouth agape.
It took him a moment before he found his voice again. "That's it! I'm out of here until you come to your senses," he said and left to the direction of the portrait hole. They could hear him muttering something about "Luna not being so loony after all" as he walked.
Hermione and Ginny grinned at each other and looked at Harry, to see him staring at them oddly, his face flushed.
"Harry?" Hermione asked.
"I think I need a cold shower," he blurted and hurried to the boys' dormitories.
A/N: Another silly idea that just popped in to my head and I just had to write it down. I hope you liked it!
