Eternal City Crystal Tokyo
The Crosstime Sailor Soldiers
As the wedding preperations for Usagi and Hotaru continued, delegations from all over the universe began to arrive. As well as ones from outside the universe...
With a rainbow like shimmer the portal opened... and a slim, female figure emerged. She was not, interestingly, human.
The android looked around, seemingly slightly nervous. Her golden 'hair' was metal plate, and her sailor fuku was also metalic armor. Her face looked like the elder Usagi, but her blue eyes were equipped with camera irises that could zoom in and record data.
"Welcome!" the attendant to the portal smiled as he checked his notes. "You're Steel Moon, correct?" he asked.
"Uh.. yes! I was formerly a home cleaning unit before Luna gave me the transformation app," Steel Moon admitted.
"Here's your passport and data," he passed the unit over, "we've arranged quarters for you, and charging systems."
"Thank you," Steel Moon replied.
Steel Moon aka Usagi-238640 looked around her in wonder. It was so bright! And open! She was used to her home world, where everything was underground and coated in metal. And so many organics! On her Earth they were less than 1 % of the population...
As she moved on, the portal closed, then reopened as a redhead in a sailor fuku emerged.
"Ranma Saotome of Earth 8853?" the man asked.
"Well, in this outfit it's Sailor Nova," the redhead grinned.
Sailor Nova's uniform was Sailor Scout based, but had chrome steel arm guards, and she carried a pair of metallic escrema-style sticks. Her uniform collar and such were all orange, trimmed with a dark blood red.
"I thought Sailor Pluto was coming from your universe?" the attendant asked.
Ranma gave him a LOOK. "In my universe the Sailors were annihilated, and Pluto had to recruit whomever she could. Do you really think she'd want to come here where they are all alive?" she asked dryly.
"Ah," he looked sheepish, "point." He went over the passport etc etc thing and waved her on.
Ranma smiled as she took in Crystal Tokyo. Gorgeous place, though it was kind of boring. Worlds where Sailor Moon ascended to Queen/Empress/whatever tended to be far too peaceful for her. Except for the 'evil Usagi' universes, of course.
The portal swirled, and this time a small group emerged, in matching uniforms but different color schemes.
"Oh wow," Captain Tsukino of the Federation Starship Edo said as she looked around.
"Captain, we're blocking the portal," Chief Medical and Science officer Ami Mizuno gently chided her.
"Keep moving meatball head," First Officer Rei Hino sighed.
"Reeeeiii," Usagi sighed as they moved forward.
Makoto Kino, head of Security, was looking around them a bit warily. Supposedly Crystal Tokyo was entirely peaceful, but...
"Oh wow!" Minako Aino, ship's Navigator exclaimed. "LOOK at this place!"
"Welcome," the attendant, "You're the Federation Delegation. Now, as I understand it you no longer use money?"
"That would be correct, we grew out of it as a civilization," Ami noted.
"Different strokes and such," the attendant shrugged as he passed out the packets. "We've arranged diplomatic credit, and quarters for you."
"Thank you!" Mina snatched hers up, "We're going to have so much fun!"
"MINA, try to maintain some dignity, please," Rei growled.
Usagi chuckled as the group headed off.
"What is going on with this fraking place?" the heavily armored blonde burst out not far away.
Sister of Battle Usagi Tsukino scowled as she looked around. She wore a bulky armored suit that made her nearly eight foot tall, and was practically COVERED in weapons. She easily hefted a massive bolter, a lasgun was at her side and a huge chainsword was on her back.
"I'm going to fraking..." Usagi started.
"Sister! Stop this embarassing display!" the Commissar demanded, her long orange hair mostly tired back.
"Sorry, Commissar!" Usagi looked sheepish.
Juri Arisugawa, from a different Earth than Usagi, bluffed, "We're both seperated from our units. Come along, I'll keep a eye on you."
"Yes, Commissar," Usagi followed meekly.
"That was a close one. I wouldn't have wanted to see what she could have done," the cheerful Usagi in an orange tunic and black pants said. Unlike the other Usagis' who had hair tied up in buns, her long hair flowed free, and crackled with unearthly energies.
"Princess Usagi of the Saiyans?" Miki Kaoru caught up with her. A local, he was working as a representative of the Court.
"Miki-kun," Usagi beamed, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wander off. Is everything okay?"
"Oh, it's fine," Miki reassured her.
Miki had been dispatched to keep an eye on her, due to her unusually high power. Saiyan Usagi had, once, CASUALLY blown up her Earth's moon. Everyone thought that Queen Serenity could contain Saiyan Usagi, but no one really wanted to test that...
"Has there been discussion of the fighting tournament I proposed?" Usagi asked cheerfully.
"We're looking into it," Miki reassured her, "we'd need it to be remote, for obvious reasons."
"Oh, agreed," Usagi nodded. "I saw Ranma around too... that'd be fun. Hopefully she doesn't die as easily as she did on my Earth." Usagi grinned, in an unnerving way.
Miki gulped softly. Some of the alternate Usagi's were a bit disturbing...
Over by the gates, a blonde Sailor Moon emerged, but along with the Sailor suit, she had a huge scythe. Fate Testarossa smiled sheepishly, "Hello."
Her girlfriend, Sailor Mars, also was carrying a staff. "Thank you for inviting us!" Nanoha Takamachi beamed.
Behind them Sailor Venus (Alissa Bannings), Sailor Mercury (Suzuka Tsukimura), Sailor Jupiter (Signum), Mini-moon (Vivio), Sailor Saturn (Einhart) and Sailor Pluto (Hayate Yagami) were looking around in awe.
"What a gorgeous place!" Venus-Alissa declared. "I'm so glad we weren't written out this time!" she added.
Mercury-Suzuka sighed, "Stop breaking the fourth wall, dear."
A attendant met them, and the group moved off from the gates.
"Look! It's the Justice League!" an excited viewer cried.
Supergirl (Usagi Tsukino) smiled sunnily a she lead the team flying in. Wonder Woman (Makoto Kino) smiled and waved, while Cyborg (Ami Mizuno) looked more serious. Batman (Minako Aino) looked embarassed being carried by Green Lantern (Rei Hino), but both carried it off. Rounding out the group were Flash (Haruka Tenoh) and Hawkgirl (Michiru Kaoru).
"Hopefully no supervillains will turn up," Yuuki Konno noted. The reporter was there covering the story on the inter-dimensional guests arriving for the ceremony. She wore a simple suit in charcoal grey, and her long purple hair flowed down her back.
She was working with two other reporters, a vampire and a ghost. Kazumi Asakura had been vampirized by a hugely powerful old vampire, while her girlfriend Sayo Aisaka was a spirit inhabiting an android body. Something Yuuki could understand...
"Okay, we got the film of the Vampire Sailor Moon, the Mecha, the Demon...," Asakura checked them off.
Yuuki blushed slightly at the mention of the Demonic Sailor Moon. That version of Usagi was actually a succubus, and had tried to sap their life force. Thankfully all three of them were immune, for different reasons.
"... and there was the Zombie Apocolypse survivors. Was that all of them?" Asakura finished.
"Well, that's all we were sent to see," Sayo offered.
"I think we have enough filmed," Yuuki agreed. "Sayo, send the data to the editors, they'll get everything ready for the evening broadcast."
"Will do," Sayo touched the controls and beamed the footage away.
"I've got to get back to the studio," Yuuki sighed, "I'm still hosting that show." She added, "You could do me a favour, though..."
"Oh?" Asakura asked dubiously.
"The delegation from the Sorcerer Kingdom is supposed to be arriving later today," Yuuki noted, "I don't think we have anyone in place to cover it."
Asakura and Sayo exchanged a glance. "We'll do it!" they declared.
To be continued...
Notes: Steel Moon is loosely based off a recent 'Sailor Moon Redraw' challenge where an artist made SM a mecha. Artist is on twitter, 'caffe_rati'.
Sailor Nova is kinda from 'The Best of Times' by Ozzallos on FFnet, though I'm only swiping the concept.
Usagi as a Starfleet Captain is admittedly a stretch, but a Usagi born & raised in the Federation might turn out somewhat different.
Warhammer 40k version of Usagi. The Juri is from a Warhammer/Crystal Tokyo fusion I did over in my Arisugawa's Locket series.
Dragonball Z Usagi is basically canon Usagi, but with Dragonball traits. So yes, she's a sweetheart... but under the right circumstances she's capable of beating folks to death.
Nanoha cast as Sailor Moon. Basically for reasons, Usagi reincarnated as Fate, instead.
Other characters: Yuuki Konno was originally in Sword Art Online, Sayo and Asakura are both from Negima.
