AN: So, before I start this chapter, I would like to be clear about something. Back when I wrote my previous story, I wrote Granny Smith having the role of Molly Weasley because I starting writing that fanfic before the My Little Pony episode, The Perfect Pear aired. I'm still going to include Granny Smith in the story, but for now on, I'm going to give Pear Butter the role of Molly Weasley, while Bright Mac would be Arthur Weasley in this story.
Chapter 2
Sweet Apple Acres
Ever since the Riches evening was ruined, Filthy Rich decided that enough was enough. Furious with Twilight, Filthy installed bars on Twilight's window, as if she didn't need another reason to think of her home as a prison. With no hope of escape, Twilight spent the night resting on her bed. This was not how she wanted to spend her birthday.
After a few hours of sleeping, Twilight was suddenly awoken by a strange noise in the distance The sound was faint but clear. Curious, the purple unicorn looked out her window to see something flying in the distance. It flew close enough for Twilight to realize that it was a flying chariot with nothing pulling it. The chariot soon came to a stop once it reached Twilight's window. She looked closely and was surprised to find three familiar faces.
"Howdy, Twilight!"
Surprised by what she was seeing, Twilight rubbed her eyes to make sure that she wasn't dreaming.
"Applejack, Flim, and Flam! What are you guys doing here?" Twilight asked.
"Rescuing you, of course!" Flim answered.
"Get your stuff so we can get out of here!" Flam told Twilight as he attached a hook to the bars on Twilight's window.
With a nod, Twilight took this opportunity to gather her supplies. While Twilight was getting everything she needed, Applejack, Flim, and Flam attached the other end of the hook to the chariot before riding it so fast, it broke the window from the wall. However, the siblings didn't count on how loud that was, and it ended up waking up the Riches.
"Twilight!"
Twilight let out a gasp of shock as she turned to see her uncle opening her door, revealing a face of anger. Wasting no time, the purple unicorn grabbed Owlowiscious' cage. She put the cage in the chariot and grabbed Flim and Flam's hooves only for Filthy to grab Twilight's hind legs at the last second.
"Let go of me!" Twilight demanded, doing her best to hold on to Flim and Flam's hooves.
"No! You are not going anywhere!" Filthy yelled.
"You'd better get us out of here quickly, Applejack!" Flim called out.
"I don't know how much longer we can hold on." said Flam.
Thinking fast, Applejack rode the chariot so fast, it forced Filthy to let go as he fell out the window and landed on a bush. Once Filthy recovered from his fall, he stood back up before spitting a couple of leaves out of his mouth. He looked up to see the chariot flying further and further away.
Flim and Flam helped Twilight into the chariot as they all breathed sighs of relief. Twilight moved up to the front of the chariot where she met up with Applejack.
"Thanks for coming for me, everypony!" Twilight thanked her friends.
"Think nothing of it, Twilight!" Applejack smiled. "Also, Happy Birthday!"
The sun rose as Applejack rode the chariot back to Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight looked outside to see apple trees spread across the land. After a few moments of riding the chariot, Applejack landed it in front of her house. The group of friends soon sneaked into the house, careful not to wake anyone up.
As she entered the house, Twilight looked around to see that the inside was old fashioned. The shelves were filled with antiques, and covered on the walls were pictures of the family.
"I know it doesn't look like much, but it's our home, and we couldn't have asked for anything else." Applejack said.
"Applejack, your home is great!" Twilight replied. "It is more of a home than the Riches' house would ever be!"
Applejack was about to show Twilight around the house when she took notice of her mother, a pony with a pale colored coat along with a curly orange mane and tail. Applejack, Flim, and Flam gulped, knowing that they had been caught.
"Where have you been? Do you have any idea how worried I was when I find out that you three and the chariot were missing?"
"But Mom, we can explain!" Applejack spoke up.
"I don't want to hear it! You are lucky that nopony saw you riding that chariot." Suddenly Applejack's mom took notice of Twilight. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't notice you. You must be Twilight Sparkle. Applejack has told me so much about you. My name is Pear Butter." The pony introduced, shaking Twilight's hoof.
"Uh, it's nice to meet you ma'am." Twilight replied, surprise by her sudden change in tone.
"Now, as for you three!" Pear Butter brought her attention back to her children. "I don't want you to ever sneak out with the chariot again! Do I make myself clear?"
"Oh, give us a break, Mom! We did what we had to." Flim defended.
"Yeah! They were putting bars on Twilight's windows." Flam added.
"Well, you'd better hope I don't put bars on your windows! Now go finish your chores before I make your breakfast." Pear Butter then made her way to the kitchen.
With a couple of sighs, Flim and Flam left to do their chores, leaving Twilight and Applejack alone in the living room.
"Sorry, Applejack. I didn't mean to get you in trouble." Twilight apologized.
"Don't fret, Twilight! It was worth it to get you away from your awful family. No offense."
Twilight giggled. "None taken! Come on. I can help you with your chores." Twilight offered.
"That's mighty kind of you, Twilight! I really appreciate the help!"
The two friends spent the next couple of hours working on chores around the farm. Every passing minute caused Twilight and Applejack to get more hungry, so they rushed back to the house the moment they finished the last chore.
Everyone soon sat down at the table as Granny Smith was the last to sit down. She took notice of Twilight and squinted towards the purple unicorn when realization hit her.
"Well, if it isn't Twilight Sparkle!" Granny Smith exclaimed. "I haven't seen you since last year at the train station! It's nice to see you again!"
"It's good to see you too, Granny Smith!" Twilight smiled.
Pear Butter was nearly finished with making breakfast when everyone heard the flapping of wings upstairs.
"That must be Rainbow Dash." Applejack noticed. "Oh, this should be good!"
Twilight gave Applejack a confused look. "Huh? What should be good?"
Before Applejack could reply, Rainbow Dash flew done the stairs at an incredibly fast speed.
"Sorry I'm late!"
"Hey Rainbow, I think there is somepony here who you might want to see!" Applejack teased.
Rainbow Dash took one look at Twilight and let out a gasp.
"Hello! My name is Twilight Sparkle!" Twilight waved to the pegasus.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!"
Before anyone could react, Rainbow Dash flew back upstairs, leaving Twilight confused.
"Uh, was it something I said?"
"It's not you. Rainbow Dash has been upset that she didn't recognize you at the train station last year, and she has been talking about you all summer." Applejack explained.
"Alright. That's enough talk everypony. It's time to eat." Pear Butter placed plates on the table.
Twilight enjoyed every bite of her breakfast. She could tell that Pear Butter was a good cook. As everyone ate their breakfast a pony who Twilight never met before looked through the window. He was a bright yellow stallion. Just like Applejack, a brown hat rested on his bright red mane, and he had an apple for a cutie mark.
"Good morning, everypony!"
"Dad!" Applejack gasped in surprise. "What are you doing here? We thought you were still at work."
"I got out early, so I came over to see my family!" Applejack's dad climbed through the window.
He gave hugs to his family until he met up with Pear Butter.
"You look beautiful as you always do, Buttercup!" He called his wife by her nickname before giving her a kiss.
"Oh, Bright Mac!" Pear Butter blushed. "Please take a seat! We have a guest this morning."
Upon noticing Twilight, Bright Mac took a seat next to her before shaking her hoof.
"It's nice to meet you! My name is Bright Mac!" the stallion introduced.
"It's nice to meet you too, sir! I'm Twilight Sparkle!" Twilight replied.
"Twilight Sparkle?" Bright Mac repeated. "You must be the famous pony that Applejack has been telling me about in her letters! You two seem to be close friends from what she told me."
"Speaking of Applejack." Pear Butter remembered. "Bright Mac, our children have been sneaking out in the middle of the night and took your chariot."
Bright Mac took a glance at Applejack, Flim, and Flam who avoided eye contact with him.
"You rode my chariot?" The three of them knew that they would be in trouble, but were surprised when they heard Bright Mac change his tone. "How was it? Was it great? I remember the first time I rode my chariot back when I had one of my races with my friend, Burnt Oak."
This earned Bright Mac a slight smack on the head from Granny Smith, who gave him a disapproving glare.
"Show some authority! I raised you better than that!" Granny Smith scolded her son.
"Sorry, Mom." Bright Mac apologized.
Once everyone finished there breakfast, they were ready to head to Diamond Alley to get their supplies for school. Instead of leaving the house, everyone stood in front of a fireplace as Twilight wondered what was going on.
"Alright everypony! Time to travel to Diamond Alley through magic powder." Pear Butter announced.
"Magic powder?" Twilight repeated. "I've never heard of it."
Pear Butter turned towards Twilight, surprised. "You haven't traveled using magic powder before? That's not a problem. All you have to do is step into the fireplace with the powder and say the name of the place you want to go to."
"Uh, okay. I guess I'll give it a try."
Despite how nervous she felt, Twilight grabbed the magic powder before stepping into the fireplace. She opened her mouth to say, "Diamond Alley", but began to choke. Twilight didn't count on how much powder she grabbed and found it hard to breath.
"D-Diamond All-Alley." Twilight choked.
The moment Twilight said those words, she was engulfed by flames and suddenly disappeared from the fireplace without a trace.
