I do not own Harry Potter only the OC.

Hello guys, Badger here. I have another longer chapter for you today. This chapter marks the beginning of the Order of the Phoenix, which used to be my favourite movie, that number one spot is now claimed by Deathly Hallows part 2.

Anyway, I am glad to see people enjoyed the previous chapter. One person agreed that the quote on the Badger crest did suit James' character and a couple also gave me ideas and some things they would like to see happen. Whilst I can't promise everything, I will try to add a few things into it. That is all I have to say at the moment, read on, enjoy and I will see you at the end.

Chapter 57

Mind games

The halls of Azkaban, once filled with screams from prisoners cursing those who put them in their cells, now echoed with cheers and celebration from those wore held the Dark Mark on their arm. One prisoner received the latest issue of the Daily Prophet and it didn't take long for the good news to spread. Their master had returned. It wouldn't be long until he came and broke them out. One witch, with a sunken face reminding many of a skull and jet black hair, with specks of silver, that was large and wild, began dancing around her cell, singing her favourite song out loud, much to the annoyance of the prisoner in the cell opposite to hers.

"Honestly LeStrange, pack it in already!" Rookwood yelled, his hands over his ears "the noise in this place was bad enough, your terrible singing is just making it worse!"

Bellatrix LeStrange, the Dark Lords most loyal servant, stopped for a moment, looking at Rookwood, with her dark eyes practically gleaming with rage and insanity.

"Bella doesn't like being interrupted ickle Rookwood" Bellatrix replied, talking as if she was reprimanding a small child, as she lent on the bars of her cell

The crazed look in the woman's eyes terrified Rookwood, as he remembered some of the things the woman was infamous for. He was glad that their cells were a few feet away and that he was protected by steel bars. Smiling at the mans fear, Bellatrix pushed herself off the cell bars and continued dancing, singing her favourite song even louder then before. Further down, a wizard was crouched in the corner, in deep thought. Pettigrew had tried to escape more then once since he was thrown into his cell. However, the Aurors had put up some kind of ward, stopping him from turning into his rat form. He had also lost a lot of weight. He may have been happy with his masters return, but he felt a punishment was waiting for him down the line, because of his failures. Even if the Dark Lord didn't kill him, Pettigrew was almost certain that either Sirius or Remus would.

Harry entered the dining room of Grimmauld Place, wiping some sweat from his brow. He had just come out of the training area, where he had seen James obliterate several training dummies. It had been about three days since their Fourth Year ended and it was obvious James wasn't about to calm down anytime soon. Harry eventually had to leave the training room, for his safety if nothing else. Sirius and Remus were already sat at the table, looking through the Daily Prophet, where they looked up noticing his approach.

"He's not doing so well, is he?" Sirius asked, noticing the look on his godsons face

"If anything, he seems worse" Harry sighed, as he sat next to Remus "I can't blame him but, I just wish I could help him"

"Give him time Harry" Remus replied, placing a gentle hand on Harry's shoulder "I'm sure he'll pull through…just don't give up on him"

"I'll be there for him" Harry nodded

"Good" Sirius smiled "Come on, I think its time I teach you some things I know on Occlumency and other mind defences"

"I'll leave you guys to it" Remus said, standing up "I'm heading out for a moment"

"Where are you going?" Harry asked

"To bring someone who I think can help James, at least a little bit" Remus replied, leaving the room

Harry and Sirius looked at each other for a moment, before they shrugged, where Sirius led Harry to the sitting room.

James tossed and turned in his bed. He had left the training room not to long ago and he hoped that sleep would eventually take over, so he can rest. Sleep wouldn't come. As he tried to sleep, however, he felt something enter his mind. Something that caused immense pain. He woke up, with a sharp jolt, to see he wasn't in his room. He seemed to be standing in a black void.

"Don't worry, you aren't dead just yet" A familiar voice said

James turned to see his uncle standing a few feet away from him, his hands behind his back. James growled and reached for his wand. Something that amused his uncle.

"I wouldn't bother" Michael smiled "We can't hurt each other whilst we are here"

James paused for a moment, his wand hand twitching. He closed his eyes and took a calming breath, before he looked back at his uncle.

"Where am I?" He asked "And why did you bring me here?"

"That, is complicated" Michael replied, after a moments thought "Lets just say, we are in your mind and, relax, I'm not going to kill you if that's what your thinking…if I was going to do that, I would've done so by now"

"How are we here?" James asked "I have natural barriers"

"Again, complicated" Michael replied "its thanks to an obscure spell and complex incantation that we are conversing like this…don't worry, I won't be trying this again, the first time was bad enough…its possible it might kill me if I tried to do it a second time"

"Do it then, it will save me the trouble of killing you myself" James said, tone cold and sharp

Michael let out a maniacal laugh, which only made James' eye twitch in annoyance.

"I must say, you continue to impress the shit out of me" Michael said, after calming down "I may have to thank that House-Elf for getting you to safety…you and your sister"

That made James take a physical step back. As far as he knew, his uncle never knew about Aila. He wasn't there at her birth, as he went to Australia some time before then.

"Aila, wasn't it?" Michael continued, not noticing the shock on his nephews face "I haven't heard anything about her…where is the young lass?"

"Dead" James replied coolly "There was an accident seven years ago"

"Shame" Michael muttered "it would have been nice to meet her"

"Look, stop beating around the bush" James snapped, his patience wearing thin "Tell me why you brought me here!"

"I do apologise, we seemed to have side tracked" Michael smiled, evident he wasn't sorry at all "I want to give you a choice, as you know the Badgers are known for their dark magic, we should embrace it…it's why I killed your parents, they didn't agree with my philosophy, they chose to fight alongside the scum of society…so, join me and Voldemort, your power is wasted with those you surround yourself with, once Voldemort has taken over the Wizarding World, he will give us the country of our choice…I was thinking America but that isn't important right now"

James couldn't help the laugh that escaped his lips.

"Are you serious?" James asked "You kill my parents, try to kill me and then you try to get me to join you and stand by your side…you must be fucking insane if you think I will join you"

"Fair enough" Michael sighed, though he smirked after a moment "I look forward to our next meeting dear nephew"

"Same here" James replied, a smile on his face "trust me when I say when we do meet, I will kill you and take great delight in doing so"

Michael let out another maniacal laugh, before a bright light blinded James' vision. When the light disappeared, James opened his eyes to see he was standing in the middle of his room. He rubbed his forehead, hoping the pains in his skull would subside. As he stood there, his fathers last words rang in his ears.

"Jinx, take James and Aila to the Albrights, we'll be there as soon as we can!"

They never arrived. James of course came to the conclusion all those years ago about what must have happened, but he didn't expect it to be the way things were now. He didn't like thinking about it too much, but his uncle has unearthed those blocked memories. He wasn't sure how long he was standing there, when there was a knock on his bedroom door. Curious, he slowly opened it, and was surprised at who he saw on the other side.

"Luna?" He asked

The petite blonde smiled at him, before hugging him gently. James was shocked for a moment, but hugged her back, holding onto her, as if his life depended on it.

"H-how did you get here?" James asked

"Remus brought me" Luna smiled, before it disappeared "their worried about you…apparently you've been withdrawn…I'm sure I know the reason but, tell me, what is going on?"

"I…I'm just so angry Luna" James replied, after a moment "if it was just an ordinary person, I probably wouldn't feel this way, but my uncle, my dads brother, murdered my parents…I just don't know how to handle it!"

Luna just held James, whispering soothing words in his ear. She could almost feel his pain and the tears soaking her shoulder told Luna that he was crying. She didn't like seeing James this way. Made her feel like her heart would break. However, she had seen a few glimpses of the future. Its possible that James may experience more pain. She had no context, besides a brief image of Harry and James facing each other in the Hogwarts Courtyard, which looked run down and destroyed, both of them looking a few years older then they currently were and they were beaten up and bloody. Harry looked as if he had discovered something terrible and is not only upset but determined, whilst James looked broken, as if there was nothing he could do to stop Harry from doing whatever he planned to do. Luna didn't know the meaning behind these images and it infuriated her, one reason why she hated these seer abilities.

Meanwhile, Harry and Sirius were sitting cross legged on the floor. Sirius had been teaching Harry some occlumency and whilst he was happy with Harry's progress, there was still room for improvement. They were distracted, when the floo network flared up, where Dumbledore stepped through a moment later.

"You know, I've expressed my disapproval about coming over with a call first" Sirius said, as he stood up

"I do apologise Sirius" Dumbledore replied "But I have a few urgent requests to ask of you"

"This better be good" Harry muttered to himself, though the others heard him

"Firstly, I must request that young Harry is trained" Dumbledore said "After Voldemort's return, I believe it will be a necessity"

"What do you think I've been doing the last few days Albus?" Sirius asked "I've taught Harry a few things and I know James has too…though we do need to think about what we are going to do when Harry's in Hogwarts…"

"Perhaps I could offer the solution" Dumbledore smiled "twice every week, Harry will be taught privately by several instructors in all kinds of magic, I believe will be necessary, in a secluded part of the castle…James, too, if he so wishes"

Harry and Sirius looked at each other, both a little surprised. Neither of them had expected that. After a moment Sirius nodded.

"I guess that is acceptable" He said "But I demand that either myself or Remus are present during those sessions"

"Of course" Dumbledore nodded "Now secondly, I don't wish to stress you on this Sirius, but I plan to reunite the Order of the Phoenix"

Sirius looked at Dumbledore, wide-eyed, whilst Harry looked confused. He was sure he heard the name somewhere before, though judging by the look on his godfathers face, Sirius knew what it was.

"I ask that Grimmauld Place be used as headquarters for the Order and as a location point for meetings" Dumbledore continued "this place is well hidden from Voldemort and his Death Eaters, it is the perfect location…however, I understand if you refuse, Hogwarts will be a suitable place to, if need be"

Sirius closed his eyes and appeared to be in deep thought. He seemed to be locked in some kind of inner conflict and it was clear to Harry that Sirius felt like he was going to regret his answer.

"Fine" He sighed "though, I ask that this place is warded under a Fidelius charm and I am the secret keeper"

"I was going to suggest the same thing" Dumbledore replied "That is all I needed to ask, I will inform the others…good-day to you both"

Harry and Sirius watched, as Dumbledore entered the floo and disappeared once more in a burst of green flames.

"I still don't like that man" Harry growled "I feel like he is holding to many cards close to his chest"

"He has always been like that Harry" Sirius sighed "if anyone asked, he would always say there were some things that were best left unsaid and that very few people knew about it"

"Idiot" Harry muttered "What exactly was the Order of the Phoenix"

"Take a seat, I'll explain it all to you" Sirius replied

Cornelius Fudge felt a headache coming on, as he listened to his new undersecretary propose her new idea. Then again, he often had headaches whenever she was involved. Her voice and her horrible bright pink robes, that were hurtful for the eyes, were enough to cause such thing. He didn't want to employ Delores Umbridge, practically everyone hated the woman and she made no attempt to hide her hate for anything that wasn't a Pureblood. However, being the only person to apply for the position, he had no choice but to hire her.

"So, let me get this straight Delores" He said, leaning back in his chair "You want me, to have you hired as the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor…despite the fact that you barely passed the class when you were a student yourself?"

"That is correct Cornelius" Umbridge replied with a sickly sweet smile "I have read all the Ministry's protection guidelines, I will be able to teach the children a safer form of defence from any kinds of danger"

Cornelius looked at the woman sceptically. There was always something that seemed off about Umbridge that unsettled him slightly. He sighed, as he didn't see any other choice in this matter. Dumbledore also said he was struggling to find a teacher for the class this year. He will ask for Dumbledore to hire Umbridge, but he will keep her monitored as best as he could just in case. He just hoped that his decision won't come back to bite him on the ass.

And, done! What did you guys think, good, bad? I'm sorry if you thought things were a bit messy in this chapter, I did try to clean it up a little, but I guess its up to you on how you thought it was.

I hoped you like the small section at the start, with the Death Eaters inside Azkaban. We also had the introduction of Bellatrix LeStrange. I am unsure how often she will appear in the story, but I plan to make her seem bat shit insane at times because I feel like she just wasn't that insane in canon. Especially in the movie, whilst I loved Helena Bonham Carters performance as the character, I felt like the producers could have given her more moments to show her insanity at times.

Now, we have the main plot of this chapter. James and Michael talking through what is, in simple terms, a mind link. This moment went through a couple rewrites. Originally, I was going to have a full on Star Wars moment, where Michael tries to convince James to join the dark, so they can destroy Voldemort and take over Wizarding Britain themselves. This was changed, as I wanted to keep Michael as a loyal Death Eater. This leads onto the question of the chapter...in fact, there are two this time:

Question of the chapter (1): What if Michael raised James? Would you guys like to see a fanfic with James as the main focus? I will set up a poll, where you guys can go an vote.

Question of the chapter (2): When Luna had a glimpse into the future, what moment in the HP universe do you think she saw?

Of course, the chapter ended with Umbridge hate because f*ck that woman.

Anyway that is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time.

Badger out.
