I do not own Harry Potter, only the OC
Hello guys, Badger here. Back here again. I have a shorter chapter for you guys today. This chapter, including the next one may be considered filler as a way to set up future chapters and plot points as best as I could, so expect the next chapter either tomorrow or the next day. Originally it was going to be one massive chapter, but I changed my mind, so I split them in two.
There isn't much more to say here, so I'll let you read on and I will see you at the end.
Chapter 65
A Dark Lords Advantage
Umbridge growled, watched as the students made their way back out of her classroom. Sometimes, she wondered why she even chose to work here. She hated children. Potter and Badger, once more, didn't react to her comments. She even made more jabs at the Quibbler and even Amelia Bones' niece, but nothing! Her hand balled into a fist, as she felt her arm burn slightly. She wasn't sure what she was going to do. The fact that the boys were taking private lessons still annoyed her. Umbridge desperately wanted to see what they were being taught, but could never find where they went. She had heard a few people whispering about having Potter and Badger teach them privately. She, of course, gave them a detention and forced them to write with her Blood Quill, before modifying their memory, and healing the wounds on their hands. The pain they went through satisfied her, but it wasn't enough. Once she had Potter and Badger cutting their hands open, writing with her Quills, then she will be happy.
…
The trio were sat in the Great Hall, joined by Susan and Luna, who was sharing her journal full of drawings and sketches of some of the creatures she can see with James, who had a smile on his face, loving the adorable, eccentric, bubbliness practically radiating off of her. As they were talking, the Twins and Ginny made their way over.
"Hey guys" James said "What's up?"
"Mum told us what happened to dad" Fred replied
"And Dumbledore informed us that you two helped save him" George continued
"So, we thank you for it" Ginny finished for them
"It was nothing guys" Harry replied "besides, I didn't really do anything, I just had a vision…the Aurors were the one to save him"
"Yes, but without that vision of yours, Mr Weasley probably wouldn't have made it" Susan spoke up, ruffling Harry's hair, with a smile "Accept their thanks"
Harry pouted playfully, at her messing up his hair, before giving her a quick kiss on her cheek. Daphne rolled her eyes slightly, at Harry's dramatics, before turning back to the Weasleys.
"How is your father?" She asked
"He is fine" Ginny replied "A bit weak, but alive…they were able to remove any venom and heal up his wounds, but he will need to stay in St Mungos for a few days, until he can get back on his feet"
"We should warn you though" George spoke up
"Mum will probably send you so many letters thanking you" Fred continued, a smile on his face
"I'm sure we can handle it" James chuckled slightly "Do you want to sit here with us today?"
"No, not today, Alicia and Angelina are waiting for us" The Twins replied in unison
"I would, but I'm sitting with Dean" Ginny spoke up
"Okay, some other time then" James said
The Weasleys nodded, before they thanked them once more, heading back to the Gryffindor Table. As they headed back, Harry saw Ron watching them, as he sat at the Gryffindor Table. He had a thankful look on his face, mixed with what looked a bit like guilt, before he looked away, turning his attention back to the food on his plate. Harry wasn't sure what that was about, but didn't dwell on it, as he turned his attention back to his friends.
…
Severus Snape entered Voldemort's throne room, who was pointing his wand at a twitching Death Eater, who Snape recognised to be one of the people who went with Michael to the Ministry. It didn't surprise Snape that Michael wasn't being punished. He was Voldemort's new favourite. The Torture Curse was lifted, as Voldemort noticed Snape's appearance.
"Ah, Severus" He said, as the Death Eater crept back to a corner of the room "Good, we can begin…firstly, I would like to welcome back Lucius back into our ranks"
The ragged, frail looking man, was a massive step down to the elegant, pompous man Severus knew. He was thin, tired and his hair was unwashed and so was his beard. In a way, Severus believed the man deserved it.
"Of course, Lucius is in no condition right now to fight for the cause" Voldemort continued "It will be your job to give the required potions and antidotes Severus"
"Yes my lord" Snape bowed
"Good, now, onto more pressing matters" Voldemort said, his eyes narrowing at Snape "It has come to my attention that Arthur Weasley, one of the Order who were guarding the prophecy, survived…mere minutes after the attack, the Ministry was swarming with Aurors and Weasley was saved…I want to know how"
Snape swallowed slightly, trying not to panic. He knew he couldn't lie. Voldemort could always tell if one of his own were lying, sometimes not even needing to use Legilimency to root through ones mind. Snape couldn't lie, even if he wanted to. It was only luck on his end, that the psychopath in front of him, hasn't discovered that Snape was acting as a spy for Dumbledore. Sighing, Snape gave Voldemort the information he required.
"Potter" He said "He saw a vision of the events happening at the same time…Dumbledore believes you and Potter share some kind of mental link…"
"Interesting…" Voldemort mused, as his thoughts processed the information "That could be used to our advantage, but first, we need our old friends still residing in Azkaban…Michael, Crouch, I will be leaving you two in charge of a small group of our followers to break them out, whilst I think of how I can turn my mental link to Potter, in my favour"
"It would be an honour, my friend" Michael smiled, whilst Crouch Jr had a wild, manic look on his face, licking his lips in psychotic anticipation
…
Pansy Parkinson, walked down one of the aisles in the Library, putting away a few books she had borrowed. In one aisle, James was leaning against the bookshelf, flipping through a few pages of a book he was holding, though it was clear he wasn't reading a single word of it. It was when she was next to him, putting a book away, when he closed his book, turning to her.
"Pansy" He said
"James" She replied "I got your note, I'm guessing you need my help again?"
"Afraid so" James sighed "I hate to ask you this, each and every time but, I need you to find out any information you can…I'm not sure about Malfoy, but I'm sure Nott knows something…his father seems to, if what I heard means anything"
"I'll try to find out what I can" Pansy nodded
…
And done. New chapter. Meaning new reviews, and maybe new followers? I'm kidding of course. Follow if you wish, but it doesn't matter to me. As long as you enjoy the story, that's all that matters.
I am sorry if this chapter was a bit too short, but my heart wasn't in it to write a longer one, which is why this chapter and the next will act as filler setting up more of the story. I hope you can forgive me. And I hope that you can forgive me for no QUESTION OF THE CHAPTER, and there probably won't be one in the next chapter. However, do leave me your ideas or theories of what you think is going to happen.
That is all for now. Again, the next one will be up either tomorrow or the day after, so expect it soon. I hope you enjoyed and I will see you in the next.
