Poor, poor Kion. He was moping in Pride Rock, and he could not believe that he just failed in trying to change Zira from evil to good. He was so close in completely changing her and her evil ways, but, that just slowly went down in ashes from an aftermath of a volcano eruption in a matter of time. It just comes to show that not everyone can be saved from their cunning or blind faith in whoever they follow or believe is the answer. Zira was one of those animals that is too consumed in their own beliefs and denial to be convinced otherwise.

He sighed in sighed in depression and buried his chin on the rocky ground inside of Pride Rock. Kion didn't know what was worse: the fact that Zira was getting along well with the ruling pride of these lands, or that she chose to abandoned her newfound respect over the Pride Lands once she got all her memories back. Granted, he had a small feeling that Zira would remember her past and about Scar sooner or later, but... it was too soon.

Worst of all, Zira just isolated herself from her own children again. What good would it be if Zira just keeps isolating herself from Kovu and Vitani like this, just because they do not agree with their own mother's methods anymore? It will just be worse for Zira once she thinks about what she is doing, or, if she EVER thinks about it, which is a little unlikely.

"This isn't fair." he pouted, and he never had his spirit so down before in his life, maybe besides the fact that he didn't feel important to the Pride Lands like his big sister does, but he is probably feeling way more down than that right now. Coming inside the cave, Kiara, Kovu, and the other members of the family came in to see if Kion was okay. "How come she can't see things the way things are supposed to be?"

Poor Kion didn't know what else to do, and he was too depressed to do anything else. "Oh. Kion." Nala gave him a sympathetic look. Matter of fact, everyone looked on at him sadly, knowing that he thinks he is a complete and utter failure.

They know Kion was the opposite of a failure, and it was not his fault in all of this. He was only trying to do right, and if not for the dream she had, this plan would have fully succeeded. Alas, all things had their time

"I really hate seeing him like this." said Simba. "I can't believe that Zira wouldn't listen to us." A small onceo of anger hegan to boil inside the king's blood. "She has hirt us for the last time. If I ever see her again, I will rip her lower jaw from her mouth and-!"

"Calm down, Simba." said Kovu. "I'm just as hurt as you, but this won't make things any better. Look, with us, she won't face us all here. She's too clever for that."

"Well, if she does come back, I wanna do something horrible like... peel her eyelids with my claws and maybe gouge out her own eyeballs so she would never see anything again."

"Come on, guys." said Kiara.

Zuri and Tiifu went in the rock from a different entrance and theh sat in front of Kion. "Kion, are you alright?" asked Zuri.

"Nope." the cub let out another sad sigh. "No, I am not alright. I failed. I failed to make Zira change, and she is back to her evil, despicable self. I don't think I can ever change her now."

Tiifu was the next to speak when she said: "Sweetie, you didn't fail. You were just trying to do all you could in trying to reform her."

"And some idea that was. Dad was right. I never should have gone along with this stupid idea I created!"

"Whoa whoa, easy Kion." said Zuri. "It's okay."

A few tears streamed down the cub's face. "No. It's not okay. I did the stupidest thing I have ever done in my whole life! Some leader of the Lion Guard I am!"

"Hey, don't say that." said Tiifu.

"Kion, it's okay." said Kiara. She and the other members of the family went up to him. "Please don't cry. You were only following your heart."

"Guys, I'm sorry I never did this foolish Idea in the first place." Kion snivelled in shame. "I really thought I changed her. I really did."

"It's okay, son." said Simba. "Look, we will make her pay for what she has done."

"Thanks dad," said Kion. "But... I don't even know what to do right now. Mufasa is probably disappointed in me right now."

"No, Mufasa would never be disappointed in you." said Zazu. "I am sure that he is always proud of you and your deeds you have accomplished."

"Zazu's right, buddy." said Vitani. "Granted, I never met him before, but, I've heard of how wise he was."

"Grandmother Sarabi would understand too." Nala added. "They would never he disappointed in you."

"Look, Kiara, is it okay if we... go to that secret place to relax?" Kion asked. "I just need it to cheer me up."

"Of course. I was going to suggest that to you. Kovu, care to join us?"

"You got it. Don't worry, Kion. You are a great leader of the Lion Guard. You are way better than Scar ever was."

"Thanks, Kovu."

Meanwhile, Zira was pacing about to and fro, and plotting on revenge for Simba and the Pride for Scar's demise. "Think, think." she said. "That little Kion needs to understand pain and anguish in himself once I am done with him."

Suddenly, a blinding light appeared in front of her, and it interfered with her sight for a few brief seconds.

"What? What is this?"

She was quite confused on what was going on, and after the light faded away, her eyes widened with complete disbelief. "Zira." said a low, calming voice. "It is good to see you again."

She thought it was Scar at first, but it was deeper, and the light shaped itself into a Lion. "What? Mufasa?"

"Yes. It is i."

"But... how is that possible?" Zira had complete disbelief and thought that she was delusional. "You're... you're dead."

"In body, yes, but my flame is well and alive." Mufasa humbly said.

Zira's fade turned from surprised to angry. It stirred up every dark emotion to the max, and she growled while barring her teeth. "What do you want?"

"I have come to help you, Zira."

"Help me? What? Take me away like your son took Scar away from me?"

"He did not have any paw in killing my brother." Mufasa said. "The hyenas killed him for his betrayal."

"Well, none of this would have happened if you would have just let him be next in line for the throne! What kind of a brother betray another one's trust like that?! Scar deserved to be the next king!"

"No." Mufasa stated flatly. "Scar was never a true king."

"Oh that tears it!" said Zira. She unsheathed her claws and tried jumping on Mufasa's spirit, but her feet could only feel the grasp below them, and she tried again, but to no avail. "Scar meant everything to me! He was a great Lion! Simba came and ruined everything, and those mangy hyenas just ripped him to shreds! I should have seen that it was imminent for the hyenas to betray him.

"Zira, please. Calm down. Scar betrayed the hyenas."

Zira tries pouncing and attacking Mufasa again, but it was quite fruitless, and she began sobbing to herself in the grass and in her arms. "Why did they have to take him from me?" she hiccuped.

Mufasa had great pity on her, and he slowly went up to her. "Zira," said Mufasa, "Scar was not the Lion you thought he was."

The lioness looked up at him with tears streaming down her face and her eyes pink. "What are you talking about?"

"I will show you everything that Scar has done."
