Zira was still in awe seeing Mufasa as a spirit for the first time. She still didn't know what to think of this. "Wha- what kind of atrocities has Scar ever done in the Pride Lands?" she asked the proud, former-king of these plains. "Scar has been done anything to me. He was always so charming, so charismatic,"

"I agree, he is charismatic, Zira." Mufasa said. "But under his soul is bitterness, anger, resentment, and hatred within. He changed over time when he was growing up. He never even cared of anyone but himself when he reached adulthood. The older he grew, the more hateful he became.

"But, he... was next in line, until Simba came along." Zira remembered Scar's words from when he was still alive. "Granted, the lands are green, and all the animals are living here. But, we had everything we ever wanted and more. More food than we can eat than before. Scar promised us this when he became the new king."

"Simba is the rightful king over these lands. Even if Simba was never born, Scar would have led waste to the Pride Lands either way. His way is not my way, or Simba's way."

Zira just growled at Mufasa. "It's going to take a lot more than your lies to make me think differently of Scar." she snarled with her teeth barred. "You would have to show me the proof of how 'awful' Scar really was!" Mufasa was a little surprised to hear Zira sound so angry, but it was understandable. It was exactly what he needed to do for her, anyway.

The great king of the past smiled, and he said: "That is what I am here for, Zira. Please. Just follow me, and I will show you the way, and what Scar really was."

"Well... I suppose. I would just love to prove you wrong." Zira sneered at him. "Do show me all the information I need to know about the Lion I love."

Another blinding light hit her, and she found herself in distant reality with Scar. "Behold." Said Mufasa. "This is a future of what Scar would do to you if he was stop ok the throne."

Zira was looking at a field with fire burning and it looked a little haunting for her. It looked like the Pride Lands, but it had burning flames in the grass. She saw many animals ranging from antelope, to zebra, to when elephants.

She saw a vision of Scar and some lionesses accompanying him for a hunt. They all looked hungry for food and blood at the same time. She recognized this as the time Scar had first ruled over the Pride Lands after killing Mufasa, and banishing a young Simba.

"Well, my friends. These hunts keep getting better and better every day." said Scar. "Zira, you said that you were going to have a son coming in a month?"

"Yes, Scar. He will he the next in line for the throne after you."

"Perfect."

Zira was slowly remembering the times that she berated her eldest son, she ridiculed him for being clumsy and accident-prone while he was growing up. Back then, she saw Nuka as a bumbling idiot and a slight failure for not meeting Scar's expectations.

Hearing that name made her happy and guilty at the same time. She was starting to wish that she could meet Nuka again, tell him how much she loved him, and told him that she was sorry for treating him poorly all those years ago.

"You recognize Nuka?"

"Of course I do. It's Simba and Kovu's fault that he's dead."

"Nuka died of his own actions, not Ko'vu, or my son. He only has himself to blame."

Angry, Zira swiped her left claws with a loud yell, and a few tears escaped her eyes. She knew that she only clawed a piece of air, not Mufasa. "They have took Nuka away from me! Simba and his family took all my children from me!"

More tears were escaping her pupils. "Zira, your children were taking the right path. We all may be different species and come from different places but, we are one."

Remembering those words from Kiara, Zira looked back at her past again before her supposed death. "I heard Kiara. But, I am not Kiara, or Simba, or Kion. I am my own lion."

"I know. I am here to help you understand that you are going in the wrong direction once again. Kion was only trying to help you, and you could have had everything you ever wanted if you would have still listened to him."

She was feeling remorse about leaving Kion there again. "He... was the first to show me kindness when I returned here." she said out loud. "He had a wonderful gift within him. He could be so much more than a pretend leader of what Scar used to lead."

"Kion doesn't even want to be the king." Mufasa retorted. "But, you have your children that missed you and love you. Now, because of your hatred and anger for Simba, and you being unable to let go of the past, they might never truly know you. Your misguided love for Scar turned you into a hateful monster that you just turned back into.

"No, I love Scar and he loved me."

"No." said Mufasa flatly and calmly. "He didn't love you. He used you like he used the hyenas to his cause to usurp my throne and become the king by force. Scar would have betrayed you too, Zira. I know he would. If you do not believe me, I will show you am alternate reality."

Mufasa then magically teleported himself and Zira to where Scar was fighting Simba and in this vision, Zira was fighting alongside Scar against his nephew. While fighting the two head-on, Simba was strong enough to throw Zira off her back, and Zira in this vision found herself dangling from the gigantic spire. "Scar!" said Zira, struggling to get back up. "Please! Help me!"

Scar looked down on her and he didn't really look concerned for her at all. "Zira," he said flatly. "I'm afraid I cannot help you."

"What? What are you even saying?!"

"You were a means to an end, Zira. Nothing more." Scar said. Both the Zira in the vision and the real Zira gasped and they were shocked to hear the lion they value the most betray her like this. "I never wanted to rule the Pride Lands with you. I never wanted to share my power with anyone at all."

"But, you said we would rule the Pride Lands and I would he your queen." said the dangling Zira.

"I lied, my dear."

"Y-you never planned to have a queen?"

"Well, not you, no." Scar placed her claws on Zira's arms and, just like Mufasa, she pushed her off, plummeting to her death like poor Mufasa, who failed fo see his own brother's wicked betrayal.

Granted, this was a vision, but the real Zira looked absolutely flabbergasted at what she was seeing. Could this have actually happen? Was Mufasa telling her the truth? Waa Kion telling her the truth all along?

She was speechless at what she was seeing, and she just wished it wasn't true at all. "I know this is so horrible, but, I am only showing you what Scar would have done to you in the future. You were only his pawn." Mufasa went on. "His cunning can manipulate even manipulate the strongest of minds. He would have betrayed you like he would have betrayed me."

"I... I don't even know what to say." Zira finally remarked. "I've known Scar when he was still alive, but, I thought he was a good lion."

"He wasn't always like this, but, as I mentioned; he became hateful and bitter when he was growing up. Zira, I employ you to listen and wake up." he sounded a little bit more like he was begging her. "All of this was in the past and you shouldn't keep on living in the past. Those who do will never know happiness in life."

"But, Nuka, I might never see him again."

"Mother, it's okay." said another voice. In another flash of light, another Male lion came up to Zira as a spirit. She gasped and she could hardly believe what she saw. "There's no need to be like this anymore."

"N-Nuka?" Zira said. "Is that you?"

"Yeah mother. It's me."

Some tears escaped Zira's eyes and she tried to hug her oldest son, but she couldn't touch him. "I am very sorry I have treated you like dort all those years ago. I... I should have listened to you more."

"No, we were wrong. All of us were wrong. Kovu did the right thing. Mufasa showed me the error of my ways and I understand everything now."

"But, how?"

"When Nuka was killed from all that logs piling on him, I managed to guide his flame and show him guidance and the error of his ways after all he had done."

"Everything is so clear to me since then. The circle of life means everything to all animals. Please, mother, just put all of the past behind and go be with Kovu and Vitani. They miss you, like you miss me."

"Oh Nuka, you would not believe how much I missed you all this time." said Zira. "I just wish I can hold you and make up for lost time."

"Don't worry. I will always be with you, in your heart. And when your time comes, we can- Aaaahhh! Termites!" Nuka munched at his fur and scratched his back on the ground. Turns out that; he is not safe from termites, even in the afterlife.

Zira and Mufasa looked at him in confusion as he was biting on his fur and scratching his arms.

"Sorry sorry, got them off of me." Nuka stopped. "But anyway, listen to Kion and try and let all your anger go. Scar was not the lion you thought he was. Believe me."

Thinking long and hard about her eldest son's words, she still wondered if this was an illusion or if this was all too real, or if this was even an internal conflict within herself. It did look real in her eyes, and she looked down on the ground. "I just can't believe that Scar would betray me in return." she muttered.

"It is not your fault Zira." said Mufasa warmly. "As I have mentioned, Scar is a master of manipulation. Of course, I wouldn't hate him for all that he has done. He is my younger brother after all. I just wish he wasn't so... twisted on the inside."

"I guess... he was twisted. And, my kids. All this time, i have treated them more like soldiers to my so-called cause. Mufasa, Nuka, I am so sorry I have caused so much grief in the past. I... I let my blind faith get the better of me. I was offered back home for redemption by Kion, and I refused. I don't even know if I can face them all again after all that I have done." she bowed her head in shame.

"It is never too late to make for your mistakes," the king of the past smiled at her warmly. "Now you understand the truth, they will understand why you will return to your own family. Go to them, and make up for your misdeeds. All you have to do is admit your mistakes to them, and you can start over."

"And, by the way mom, give my regards to Kovu and Vitani when you see them again."

Zira smirked, and she said: "Of course."

"Farewell Zira, and remember, I will be there to guide you along with Kion."

"Me too." Nuka added. "Just call me and I will be there to keep you company."

"It was funny," Zira thought. Nuka sounded more wise than when he was alive and he seems more calm and collected (mostly). Granted, he is still rather clumsy, even in death, but he understood the things in life now.

"Farewell." Mufasa repeated. He and Nuka put Zira back to reality, and they were gone. At first, Zira was confused and she realized that Kion and Mufasa were right about Scar all along. She looked back at Pride Rock from a distance and she had a sad look on her face, a face of guilt. "What have I done?"

She ran back to Pride Rock and hoped that she can still be forgiven.

When she arrived and the lionesses saw her, they all scowled and growled at her, warning her to back off. "Well, look who decided to come back." said Adisa grudgingly.

"What are you doing back here, you traitor?" said Satafina.

"Wait, before you attack me. I would like to confess for all my misdeeds." she bowed her head again.

Simba suddenly came out of the rock to hear the commotion. "What's going on-" he paused and he looked angry seeing Zira again. "Why are you here?" He growled. "The only way you can gave Kion is over my dead body!"

"Simba, please. Calm down" Zira begged him. "I don't want to fight."

"Likely story!"

Kovu, Vitani, Kiara, and Sarabi came out, along with Timon and Pumbaa, and they were all angry to see her again as Simba was, and Zazu looked the same.

"Well, look at what the cat dragged in." Timon said.

"Everyone. I admit my mistakes. I... I thought Scar was the rightful king, but... I realise that I was wrong, trying to follow in his paw prints. I am not lying this time, I just want to look for Kion, and apologize greatly for not realizing the truth of it all."

The group looked at one another and back to Zira with a suspicious look on their faces. "How do we know that you're not lying this time?" asked Nala.

"I... I spoke with Nuka, and Mufasa, and they showed me the error of my ways."

"How dare you bring my father into this?!" the king growled.

"Don't listen to her, Simba." said Kovu. "This could be a trick to get close to you!"

"You're right." said Simba. "Come on guys, let's make her pay for hurting Kion." The lions, meerkat, warthog, and hornbill all charged, but suddenly, Lion let out his Roar of the Elders into the sky, and it was possibly, the loudest one he had ever done.

He didn't use it to blow everyone away, he used it to keep everyone quiet. His hest friends were behind him and they all looked outside.

"Guys, wait." said the cub. "Is... is Zira telling the truth?"

"Kion, no." said Nala. "This is a trick."

"Mom, what other reason could she be back here?"

"Hello?" said Vitani. "Maybe kill us all?"

"Enough!" a low voice said. It was Mufasa, who came down from the heavens and he looked serious. "I have spoken to Zira. What she says is the truth."

"F-father?" Simba looked at him with awe. "Is that you?"

"Yes Simba."

"Guys, listen to grandfather." said Kion. He walked down Pride Rock, and he went up to Zira. His family tried to stop him, but Mufasa told them that he would be alright. "Zira, have you... really changed?" he was in front of her now.

"Yes. I promise you. I understand the error of my ways. I am deeply sorry for all my sins and I just seek absolution, and redemption. Kion, thanks to you, I know that I am seeing things clearly for the first time in forever."

Kion sounded surprised to hear that, and a smile grew on his face. "Zira... i... I help you change after all, did i?"

"Yes, dear. I have changed for the better." Kovu, Vitani, Kiara, Simba, and Nala slowly smiled on their faces and realised that Zira was telling the truth after all. "I beg all of you, please, let me back in the Pride."

Kion was silent and he then hugged Zira. "I do accept you back."

"Me too." Kovu added.

"Yeah, welcome back, mom."

"I say she should come back." Kiara smiled.

"I agree." said Nala

Simba sounded a little reluctant at first, but, his father was very wise, and he knew never to argue with his guidance. "Well..." a small smile grew on his face. "Well, okay. Welcome back Zira."

The lioness smile and she hugged Kion with gratitude. "Thank you Kion. Thank you." she said. At last, Zira realized the error of her ways and and found herself welcomed back with open arms (again).

While the lions were cheering, Simba looked at his father and he said: "dad, I am glad you talked to her, and, it makes me happy to see Kion feel better."

"I knew there was an internal conflict going on in her, Simba." said the spirit. "Kion succeeded in trying to reform Zira after all."

"I know. At least it's all over now. Thanks for helping her, father. Now we can be a family again."

"Indeed, my son. Zira is a whole new lion, and everything will be just fine." Both he and Simba looked down at Zira and Kion, who still hugged and looked at one another like she was another family member of Kion.
